The show opens with "The Voice of NWA East Coast" Joey Styles and his broadcast partner "Lord" William Regal! Tonight we have a lot of high profile debuts and the show will be capped off with a match with Declaration of War implications as The Briscoes face the Rockstars of Wrestling in a match that if the Briscoes win they get a NWA World Tag Team title shot at the iPPV! But first lets head to the ring for our opening contest.
This match wasn't incredibly long but with four young high flyers in the ring it was exciting. RockNES played to the crowd coming into this match and the Young Buck$ did a great job of getting the crowd to hate them. The Buck$ are so full of themselves and took time to pose whenever possible as they showed absolutely no respect to the team of RockNES. That is until Johnny Goodtime hit a brutal mushroom stomp off the top rope on Nick Jackston! Goodtime almost scored the win with it but Matt Jackson got involved and broke up the count, not long after the Young Buck$ hit Yuma with the more bang for your buck to capture the opening contest victory.
JEEZ looked a bit concerned by the imposing figure of UHAA Nation at ringside, as he took on the extremely talented Bonham in the ring. Prince Nana directed traffic in this match trying to give his client the best advice possible on how to handle this match against BLK JEEZ. Bonham ended up getting taken over with a head scissors, and slid out of the ring near UHAA Nation who's more or less a body guard for Bonham. BLK JEEZ took to the air with a no touch flip over the top rope onto both Bonham and Nation! JEEZ tried to continue to press his advantage on the outside but UHAA Nation who outweighs BLK JEEZ by nearly 100lbs. was furious, picking up and driving BLK JEEZ spine first into the turnpost, before spinning and ramming him into the safety rail before the ref finally called for the bell!
Bonham was pissed when he realized he lost the match due to the interference caused by UHAA Nation, getting into the face of his body guard berating him for causing him to lose his match. Nation seemed indifferent as he followed a smiling Prince Nana who was just happy that a message was sent to the locker room that UHAA Nation will hurt anyone in the locker room badly.
Last week Awesome Kong won the opportunity to face Nattie Neidhart for the Worlds Womens championship at Declaration of War. This week however we continue to see who else is a dominant female as del Rey and Deeb squared off in a match that could propel either woman closer to the championship. Deeb employs a very basic style using simple holds extremely effectively to gain control of her opponent. Any other match this would be a sound stradegy but not against someone like del Rey who eventually punished Deeb with a barrage of vicious kicks. Del Rey followed up the kicks with a northern lights suplex for a long two count but Deeb had enough to fight back and even snapped off a spear that almost got her the win! The match continued with Deeb trying to keep control but ended up getting caught in an key lock by del Rey who drug Deeb to the mat slapping on a crossface forcing Deeb to submit!
Sami Callihan comes to the ring with a microphone and he looks to be all business.
Callihan: I don't understand how there's all this talk about London versus Gargano battling for two titles at Declaration of War! London I'm not done with you, at Summer Series we had a war and I almost beat you for the X division title! If we have another match I will take that title from you!
These comments bring out London who just smirks.
London: Sami, Sami I beat you once. Why embarress yourself a second time? Just walk away Sami and try something else... try going for Moxley or something? He threw he's title in the trash, hey man you kinda look like you know your way around trash. Maybe you could find the NWA East Coast title... but you're not getting another shot at mine, you'll just embarress yourself.
This brings out the president of the NWA and the NWA East Coast owner, Dustin Smith.
Dustin: Sami you were able to put on a hell of a match against London at Summer Series, and I'd love to see that match again but we've already signed the Gargano/London double title match... But I don't think the fans will be to upset if we make it a three way dance! That's right London vs. Gargano vs. CALLIHAN! Winner take all!
The crowd goes wild as Dustin walks away leaving London looking shocked.
The former Corey Graves makes his debut here in NWA East Coast under his old moniker, and he looked extremely confident as he faced off against a guy who always gets a huge pop from the crowd as streamers fill the ring as the crowd sings along with the bouncing souls "iOle!" Keenan lounged in the corner during the whole entrance of Generico before hopping up and blindsiding Generico from behind as he tried to remove his cape. Keenan was super aggressive not taking his foot off the pedal as he made an example out of Generico, even going as far as trying to remove his mask! Generico looked to be introuble as his loose mask kept obstructing his view as he desperately tried to hide his identity and still be a factor in the match, but he couldn't have both. Sterling James was able to slap on his variation of a leg lock forcing the generic luchadore to tap out.
After the match SJK got a mic, slinking down in the corner.
STERLING JAMES KEENAN: In recent memory, I've been deligated to a existence of mediocrate. I've been paired over and over with dead weight, and left spinning my wheels in midcard matches when I should be main eventing on every show that I'm on. No more will I be held down, no more will I be held back, I'm going to force the NWA to take notice. I plan on adding my name to the list of legends to hold the NWA World Heavyweight title. So either run for your life, or STAY DOWN!
Austin Aries is still carrying a lot of anger coming into this match, still fuming over the fact that he was released months ago into a career limbo. Super Dragon made his NWA East Coast debut and he looked to be in pretty great form. Dragon used a lot of strikes in this match to put welts on the body of Aries who was a bit suprised by the brutal burst by Dragon. Aries was able to come back after he caught a kick from dragon and leg whipped him to the mat before starting his roll, following up with a pendulum elbow drop. Aries looked to be in control of the match until Dragon came out of nowhere with a rolling kick to the top of Austin's head almost knocking him out. Super Dragon got a long two count before Aries was able to pop his shoulder up off the mat. Super Dragon continued to punish Aries by curb stomping him into the mat and trying for another pin but still Aries was able to keep himself from being pinned. Austin was busted open from the beating with a trail of blood running down his face. Super Dragon tried throwing some strikes but Aries would start blocking everything scoring with shots of his own before dazing Dragon and exploding off the ropes with a leg lariat! The crowd was in Austin's corner as he willed himself to another level hitting Dragon with everything he has before spiking him with a brainbuster to put away the brutal Super Dragon!
After the match a bloody and worn out Austin Aries got on the microphone.
Austin Aries: Over the past two weeks I've slayed two dragons and now I want a shot against the World Heavyweight champion CM Punk! I want to wear the championship in spite of Dustin Smith and I want to show him that he made the biggest mistake of his life when he released me. Beca--
Aries is cut off as "Miseria Cantara" plays over the PA system as CM Punk flanked by Eli Cottonwood and Steven Richards who's always got his face buried in his ipad come out onto the ramp. Punk's got a microphone.
CM Punk: Who in the hell do you think you are? Coming out here demanding things like you've earned them. Do you know how many times I've beaten Bryan Danielson? and then you beat a guy in his debut match? That makes you a contender for my World Heavyweight title? This is a title held by Harley Race, Ricky Steamboat and the Great Muta, why on earth would anyone want to put something so prestigious on a hack like you? No you need to shut your mouth and earn a shot like everyone else.
Aries: Alright Punk you think that I haven't earned a shot? How about this... at Declaration of War we make a little match, my team versus your team.
Punk: My team what the hell are you talking about Aries? I don't have a team...
Austin Aries: How about you, and your two little bitches that follow you around face off against me and a couple of partners of my choosing. When I win I get a shot at your NWA Worlds Heavyweight title!
The crowd pops and chants "YES! YES! YES!"
Punk: That sounds well and good, but what's it do for me? What do I get out of this if I win?
Aries: If you're team wins? *pause* I'll quit the NWA!
Punk arrogantly chomps on a piece of gum as he smirks.
Punk: You're on!
The crowd goes wild as Steven Richards finally looks up from is ipad with a look of absolute horror as Aries paces the ring like an animal, smiling knowing he's just leveraged his way into a main event match and a potential shot at the NWA World title!
If the briscoes could come out on top in this match they'd be given a shot at the NWA World Tag Team titles at Declaration of War. But the Rockstars came out looking extremely pissed that Crime Time still has possession of their tag team title belts. The Briscoes however have been a tag team for over 12 years and have been champions through out the wrestling world. The matcfh was intense with the Rockstars venting their frustrations on the challengers. The match saw the Rockstars isolate younger brother Mark in their corner using quick tags to keep Mark from Jay who looked furious that his little brother was on the recieving end of such a beating. The landscape of the match changed when Crime Time came out from behind the curtain taunting the Rockstars wearing the NWA World Tag Team titles! This led to the Rockstars taking their eyes off of the Briscoes who would come roaring back with both brothers brawling away with the champs, Jay nailed Rave with the Jay Driller to score the win for his team! At Declaration of War it will be the Briscoes vs. The Rockstars of Wrestling for the NWA World Tag Team titles!
