INVITATION TO X MATCH
Chiva Kid vs. Paul London
Chiva Kid has yet to record a victory, despite being a favorite of the crowd, having captured the imagination of the younger viewers with his risk taking style and colorful goat mask. Paul London is the corner stone of the X division in NWA Impact, so on paper you'd have to give the match to London. The heart of Chiva Kid can't be measured, and he showed off everything he could, trying to so hard. Paul London was dominating in this match keeping himself in control of the match using his size as well as his incredible speed. London was so confident that he would head to X that after hitting his pet finisher the Waffle Face he would go with a very lack cover allowing Chiva Kid the chance to get his shoulder up. London would lose control grabbing Chiva Kid by the mask slamming his head off the mat over and over until the ref had to slide between the two men threating to DQ London. Paul would fume around the ring, stomping to the corner smacking the turnbuckle before rushing Chiva Kid as soon as the underdog got to his feet, trying for the dropsault but CK would avoid the impact, rolling away from the blow and following up with a standing moonsault that had CK come crashing down on the kidneys of London who would cry out in pain as Chiva Kid started to mount offense that had the younger fans in attendence cheering loudly. Chiva would hit a dropkick of his down sending London tripping out of the ring and to the floor, where CK would keep pushing the match with a suicide dive! Chiva Kid was fired up and London was stunned by the passion from the relative new comer. London went questionable low with a right hand but the ref wasn't in position to make a clear call. London would bring the match back into the ring trying for a quick pin but Chiva Kid would kick out and keep the match going. London would try to set something up to try to finish the match but Chiva Kid would hit a leaping enziguri before running up the ropes that almost won the match! The fans were stunned but the match continued and Chiva was able to fight off London and execute an O'Connor roll, which Chiva desperatly tried to bridge, holding it long enough to barely get the three count! Chiva Kid is joining Bryan Danielson, Austin Aries and one more person to be determined in the Ultimate X main event match at the iPPV!
SINGLES MATCH
Kofi Kingston w/ The Embassy vs. "Aussie Strong Style" Dingo
Dingo has been in a heated war with Bobby Fish, the current 3 Rivers champion. Tonight he would have to refocus because he was standing across the ring from Prince Nana's new weapon that looks to become a major threat here in NWA Impact. Kingston and Dingo would trade basic holds in the middle of the ring but Kingston would constantly come out on top encorporating his uncanny agility. Although Kingston has some incredible leg strength, Dingo has some brutal kicks that he would use to light Kofi up with. Dingo would throw forearms and elbows to put Kingston on rubber legs before trying for a lights out buzzsaw style kick to the head, but Kofi was able to kick out although he looked to be dazed. Prince Nana was beside himself trying to get his man back into the fight, but thing's continued to look bad for the Embassy. Dingo would roar out "Aussie! Aussie! Aussie!" getting the rabid Impact crowd fired up as he tried for the fisherman's buster but Kofi was able to wrap his legs up with Dingo's to keep from being taken off his feet, and Kingston would give Dingo hard shots with his forearm to create space. If you let Kingston out of your reach you pay for it. Kingston was on fire hitting a leaping forearm, kipping up and hitting a BOOM BOOM drop. Kingston wasn't satisfied as he tried to measure Dingo for a Trouble in Ghana corkscrew kick. Nana would scream at Kingston to just try for the victory but Kingston looked to want to send a message instead. Dingo ducked the corkscrew kick and he'd hit a jaw jarring spinning backfist, following up with the fisherman buster to come away with a hard fought win that saw Nana's client suffer his first loss.
TAG TEAM MATCH
The Faces of Fear(Samoa Joe & Mark Henry) vs. The Rockstars of Wrestling(Jimmy Rave & Jason Hades) w/ Lena Yada
It happens in college sports a lot, a division will get into a style and when outsiders come in it disrupts everything. In NWA Impact, the tag division is about speed, speed kills. The Faces of Fear are a pair of smash mouth behemoths that took the North American Tag Team Titles after a tournament of incredibly talented contenders. The final match of the tournament featured these two teams wrestling in Mexico City, but the fans here in Philly were treated to the epic rematch. The Rockstars have felt the awesome might of the champions and had a better understanding of what to watch for. Just to give you an understanding of the mismatch, Mark Henry weighs 26lbs. more than the Rockstars COMBINED! The Rockstars however are former tag team champions of the world, and with Lena Yada at ringside they have weapons to bridge the gap. The Rockstars were constantly working at chopping the legs out from under the North American Champions. Jason Hades went for a crossbody on Henry, but ended up getting caught, Rave was able to help his partner hitting a dropkick off the top. Hades got a two count before Henry would press him off, hurling the 185lbs. Henry was able to tag out to Joe who continued to punish the former world champions, pulling Rave in for a rear naked choke forcing him to submit.
SINGLES MATCH
"Notorious 187" Homicide vs. CM Punk
These two guys looked to lock up in a classic, the man who comes out on top in this match will recieve an Impact championship match against Jon Moxley at X! Homicide has stepped up his game since becoming the leader of Latin America, which is really quite scary if you think about it. Homicide is a fantastic brawler and he brought his street fight style to this match from the onset not throwing as many holds, relying on brutal strikes. Punk looked to be in a lot of trouble in the early going of this match but was able to use his muay thai background to create some seperation, allowing him to finally start answering back against Homicide. Punk was able to get on a nice roll with the high knee in the corner to the head of Homicide before dragging him out and planting him with a bulldog. No matter what's going on with Punk, deep down he's a cocky arrogant bastard, and it sometimes bubbles to the surface a bit to much. Punk slowed down the pace a bit to much, smelling blood and looking to finish off Homicide for the contendership at X. Homicide was able to explode with a short arm lariat, and was immediatly all over Punk! Homicide scraped, clawed, and brawled his way back into this bout and almost took the win with a brainbuster but Punk was able to fight out and hit the Go to Sleep! Punk thought he had the win but Homicide was able to kick out, and Punk immediatly tried to apply the anaconda vice but Homicide was able to throw heavy punches and work his way to a rope break. The match continued with both men trying to grind out the victory and eventually Punk was able to acsend to the top rope trying for the elbow drop but Homicide would pop up and nail an ace crusher to a huge pop from the crowd, but only picked up a two count! The fans were stomping as both men barely made it up from a 10 count, with the match breaking down, and eventually Homicide was able to manuever into position to drill Punk to the canvas with the cop killer to pick up the win. The Impact title match will now be Homicide vs. Jon Moxley at X 13!
SINGLES MATCH
Dolph Ziggler vs. Prince Devitt
Sami Callihan the man who Dolph Ziggler beat to become the North American champion joined Joey Styles and William Regal at commentary for this match. Prince Devitt has started to put together a nice run, and a win tonight would have to give him a future title shot. Ziggler is having so much fun as the North American champion, bringing it to an obnoxious level as he'd tell the fans how incredible he is. Devitt wasn't a fan of being disrespected by a guest in his house, and would unload on Ziggler with forearm shots rapid fire, sending Ziggler stumbling with great sells. Devitt nailed an exploder before trying to rush Ziggler with a sick kick variation but Ziggler would side step the move and pummel Devitt with elbow drop after elbow drop in succession getting in about six. Ziggler thought he had to victory but it wasn't so as Prince Devitt was able to kick out. Dolph would drag his opponent to his feet but Devitt would throw some elbows to the midsection of Ziggler following up with a pele kick to the skull of the North American champ, before climbing to the top trying to hit the double stomp off the top. Dolph would get out of the way, with Devitt rolling through to avoid some of the missed impact. Ziggler would snap off the Zig Zag getting another near fall. Ziggler looked frustrated as he got up measuring up Devitt for a superkick, but Devitt was able to duck under trying for a powerbomb but Ziggler would counter with a hurrincanrana sending Devitt out of the ring. Ziggler was able to hang on smirking arrogantly before skinning the cat showing off his impressive core strength. Ziggler tried for a dive to the outside but Devitt countered by driving the face of Ziggler off his knee in brutal fashion following up with a few snap suplexes on the thin protective mats at ringside. Devitt thought he had done enough damage rolling Ziggler back in hitting a slingshot double stomp variation, that looked a little sloppy but only to make it look more vicious. Devitt would drop to the mat sensing he had the match in hand, punching the canvas as he stalked Ziggler, going for a yakuza kick as soon as the champ got to his feet. Ziggler would duck the knock out kick and hit a second Zig Zag this time it was enough to come away with the victory!
Immediatly after the match Sami Callihan was in the ring attacking the North American champion, after spewing verbal venom at him through out the match on commentary. Obviously still extremely bitter about coming up short at the supershow. Security was able to rip Callihan off of Ziggler who would leap in and catch Callihan with a very cheap shot before smirking arrogantly, posing with the belt as Callihan was drug out of ring by security.
