Dean Hill | Gilbert Corsey | Michael Titus |
Dean Hill: Mike Mondo has returned to OVW! Hello wrestling fans, I'm Dean Hill alongside Gilbert Corsey and Michael Titus, and in case you missed it last week, Mike Mondo is back and he's looking to take out Marcus Anthony and claim the Southern Heavyweight Title.
Gilbert Corsey: That's right Dean. Mike Mondo wasting no time, but if he wants to get there, he'll have to get through Timmy Danger's other man, Smooth Johnny Spade, in our main event tonight. No easy task there.
Michael Titus: Mike Mondo's been gone far too long in my opinion. Not only is dethroning Marcus Anthony an impossible task, but tonight, Smooth Johnny Spade is going to superkick him into next week! After tonight, he'll wish he'd stayed gone haha.
Dean Hill: Also tonight, we'll find out just exactly what is going on with the Women's Title in our femme fatales division, plus an update on Ted The Trailer McNaler of The Mobile Homers after having that moonshine, that white lightning, thrown in his eyes last week by Dylan Bostic and Evan Markopoulos. Speaking of which, Bostic will be in action against Mohammad Ali Vaez, co-holder of the Tag Team Title, ahead of that match at the next Saturday Night Special.
Gilbert Corsey: And Dean. You hear the music and these fans ...
Shiloh Jonze | Joe Coleman |
Out from the back come Shiloh Jonze and Joe Coleman, The Marauders. Last week, they jumped the TV champion Paredyse after a match where he defeated and successfully defended the title against Coleman. Jonze takes the mic and starts off by saying that he thinks Paredyse is an embarrassment to the TV Title that he once held, and furthermore an embarrassment to the entire locker room. He and Coleman live a strict lifestyle as The Marauders as oppose to Paredyse's care free ways. He wants the chance to not only take the TV Title away at the upcoming Saturday Night Special, but put an end to Paredyse for good!
Paredyse |
That comment brings the TV champion from the back. He tells Jonze that if he wanted a TV Title shot, all he had to do was ask! He also wants to know what Jonze's problem is with the way he lives his life. Jonze answers back that in The Marauders, they have a saying, don't ask, don't tell! But with somebody like Paredyse, they don't even have to ask because he hits them over the head with how obvious it is! Paredyse says that it is 2014 and if the fans can accept him, that is all that matters out here. Jonze answers back that the fans suck! Paredyse says that is not what he heard and Coleman is the 1 that sucks, if he gets what he means. Jonze frustarated goes to throw a punch, but Paredyse blocks it and throws a right back. Coleman however gets at him, Jonze gets up and it quickly turns into another 2 on 1. The Marauders leave Paredyse laying for a second week as the numbers game could be too much for him as we head into the next Saturday Night Special.

Ted McNaler | Adam Revolver | w/ Brittany DeVore | Jessie Godderz | Elvis Pridemoore |
Match #1
Tag team action kicks things off, or at least that was the plan. Coming from the back, Ted McNaler has his eyes bandaged and needs help in being guided towards the ring area. He has a walking stick as they enter the ring. Adam Revolver tells the 2 of them that he knows this was signed as a tag team match, but Ted is in no condition to compete tonight. Jessie Godderz takes the mic and says that he wants no part of this and thinks that it is pathetic that he was scheduled to team up with a loser like Elvis Pridemoore in the first place because he is better than Elvis, better than The Mobile Homers, and Mr. Pectacular is a bigger superstar than every wrestler in the back. Godderz leaves and walks out, meaning the match officially comes down to Revolver vs Pridemoore 1 on 1. During the match, the blinded McNaler accidentally walks up the ring steps and along the apron and into the ring, leading to some comedy with the referee trying to tell him to get him out. McNaler feels the face of the referee to ensure it is in fact the referee, but Pridemoore is less caring yelling for him to get out. In the process, McNaler turns and trips him with the walking stick. Revolver jumps on for the cover and takes the 3 for the win. Adam Revolver wins this match with a big assist going to the blinded Ted McNaler.

Mohammad Ali Vaez | w/ Michael Hayes | Dylan Bostic | w/ Evan Markopoulos |
Match #2
Last week, Dylan Bostic and Evan Markopoulos defeated The Mobile Homers to get the Tag Team Title shot at Michael Hayes and Mohammad Ali Vaez at the upcoming Saturday Night Special, thanks to the already mentioned blinding of Ted McNaler, which the commentators agree could come back to haunt Bostic and Markopoulos if McNaler does regain his sight. This match is singles action as a preview of that match. Vaez has a pretty big experience advantage here, although Bostic manages to hold his own. The finish comes with Vaez in control, when Markopoulos attacks Hayes on the floor and steals his prosthetic leg! This distracts Vaez and the referee, who go outside, getting it back. The distraction however works as when Vaez is getting back into the ring, Bostic jumps and hits a codebreaker style knee to the to the face and covers. Bostic gets the 3 and what has to be considered an upset here. Dean Hill says the only upset out here is him and many others being upset about the actions of Bostic and Markopoulos. Hayes is back up with the leg secured again as the challengers only laugh and high 5 each other. A couple of jerks according to Hill and Corsey, although Titus thinks calling the future Tag Team champions jerks is disrespectful! Hill is exasperated at the disrespect they just showed, while Corsey sends it to break.

The Body Guy | Mo Green |
Backstage, The Body Guy is busy working out. And by working out, using a shake weight. Mo Green of Mo Money Associates comes up throwing out a "Greetings chuckleheads", at which point The Body Guy cuts him off. He says that he saw what Mr. Pectacular Jessie Godderz said to him last week, but unlike him, he is more than willing to sign on with Mo Money because he knows the old saying "you make mo' money with Mo Green". Green just laughs and says no, that is not why he is here, but he will take the offer into consideration. He says that he has a big time player in Mo Money already and he will be making his return to OVW at the upcoming Saturday Night Special. The Body Guy asks who it is, but Green tells him that good things come to those who wait and leaves. The Body Guy seems like he has had an epiphany with that comment and really starts using the shake weight, joke being his terrible body that he has clearly been waiting a lifetime to transform ... and will likely continue to do so.
Chris Sharpe | Heidi Lovelace | Jessie Belle | Scarlett Bordeaux | Nikki St. John | Ray Lynn |
Meanwhile, elsewhere backstage, referee Chris Sharpe is with the OVW femme fatales once again and says that next week on OVW TV, there will be a special fatal 4 way match with Heidi vs Jessie vs Scarlett vs Nikki, and the winner will move on to the Saturday Night Special where they will go 1 on 1 with the returning Trina, who was forced to previously vacate the title back in the summer due to injury, winner becoming the new Women's champion. That, in addition to the tag team match up next. The 4 leave while the odd woman out Ray Lynn can only ask what that means for her? Sharpe tells her that if she wants something to do, she can referee the match tonight and hands her a striped shirt. She says cool, apparently accepting the offer.
Rudy Switchblade | Paredyse |
The camera again moves to focus in on a disappointed Paredyse sitting there when Rudy Switchblade walks up to him. Switchblade asks him what's wrong and Paredyse says that maybe The Marauders are right! He is outnumbered and maybe he should just give up. Switchblade tells him to never give up and in fact, he will even offer up his services for next week, the 2 of them against both Marauders in a tag team match. Paredyse gets excited by that idea, jumping up from his seated position and celebrating the idea. He goes to hug Switchblade, but he cuts him off and says he will see him next week. Paredyse is still pleased as he now has a tag team partner to combat the duo.

Heidi Lovelace | Jessie Belle | Scarlett Bordeaux | Nikki St. John |
Guest referee
Ray Lynn |
Match #3
Tag team action next with the women, where as just announced, the 4 will compete next week with the winner moving on to a match at the Saturday Night Special to face off with the returning Trina for the vacant Women's Title. For this match, Ray Lynn is serving as referee, clearly far removed from her element, whatever that is as she continues playing up her "dumb blond" gimmick. The heel team of Scarlett and Nikki repeatedly cheat with Ray missing it, eventually getting the best of Heidi on the apron. Nikki goes to cover Jessie but Ray is busy getting Scarlett to the outside. Dean Hill commends it while Michael Titus yells to make the cover. An angry Nikki gets up and turns Ray Lynn to shove her. Along with Scarlett, the 2 yell at her for the bad job she is doing as Jessie tags out to Heidi. Nikki turns and Heidi kicks her in the gut to send her down to 1 knee. Heidi then hits a Shining Wizard and covers to grab the 3 count and the win. Jessie and Heidi celebrate the win, with Jessie leading her to do-si-do. A confused Ray Lynn joins them, which only further upsets Scarlett for what she calls "biased officiating" from the outside.

Mike Mondo | Johnny Spade | w/ Timmy Danger |
Match #4
Main event time this week as Mike Mondo makes his return to the ring here in OVW in an important match. He faces Johnny Spade, associate of the Southern champion Marcus Anthony, along with manager Timmy Danger. This coming off last week where Mondo returned and confronted the champion, and where Spade also made it clear that he himself intends on eventually challenging for the title himself. The match gets going with both men exchanging the advantage as both want this win. The commentators note that if Spade wins here, it would really make a case that perhaps Danger made the wrong choice going with Anthony. Titus tells the other 2 not to stir up trouble and Spade knows his place. Hill wants clarification on what that place is, runner up? Focus goes back to the action with Spade in control. He readies for the superkick, but Mondo manages to catch it. He spins Spade around and instead nails him with a clothesline. Danger tries for a distraction and gets Mondo's attention. He grabs him on the apron as Spade gets up in the background. He readies for the superkick again, but Mondo sees it coming, movies, and Spade hits his own manager! Danger drops to the floor as Mondo schoolboys Spade and manages to hold him down long enough to get a 3 for the win. No time to celebrate though ...
Marcus Anthony |
From the back, the Southern champion comes out. He holds up the title belt as Mondo looks on from in the ring. He makes a motion around his waist as to say he will be winning the title. An opportunity he will have on February 1 at the Davis Arena for the next Saturday Night Special. Mike Mondo vs Marcus Anthony for the title, it's official!
