Southern Tag Team champions: Michael Hayes and Mohammad Ali Vaez

Women's champion: VACANT
Dean Hill: Hello wrestling fans of Kentuckiana, and welcome to another edition of NWA Ohio Valley Wrestling. I'm Dean Hill alongside the anchorman Gilbert Corsey and unfortunately the Rocky Mountain mouth Michael Titus, and tonight. In mere hours from now, the Saturday Night Special comes your way (airs on Saturday first run). Before that though, a lot to get through over this hour, including a big main event with a lot of potential implications on tonight.
Gilbert Corsey: That's right Dean. Tonight it's Mike Mondo challenging Marcus Anthony for the Southern title, but here in this hour, both men will be in the ring on opposite sides, tag team action. Mike Mondo and Eddie Diamond against Marcus Anthony and Smooth Johnny Spade, and not everything is exactly smooth in that camp if you know what I mean.
Michael Titus: I have no idea what you mean! Every week, you try and create problems for Timmy Danger and his men, but I can assure you that there aren't any. You watch and see because not only do they win in just moments from now, but I predict that after tonight, still your Southern champion, Marcus Anthony.
Dean Hill: I know I wouldn't bet against him, but with Timmy Danger, you can just never be too sure. Now also here in this hour, Trina makes her long awaited return to the ring. She of course to take on Heidi Lovelace later tonight for the Women's Title. Also, Mo Green is here and we will find out just what, or rather WHO he has in store for Jessie Godderz at the Saturday Night Special.
Gilbert Corsey: And you want to talk action, try this match. Rudy Switchblade against Shiloh Jonze in the hour, can't wait for that.
Dean Hill: But right now, 6 man tag team action kicking us off as we head to the ring.
Match #1
2 SNS matches collide here withthe Southern Tag Team champions set to defend their belts later tonight, and also Adam Revolver set to face The Body Guy after what happened last week when he hit on Brittany Devore backstage. Added motivation though because it was in the #1 contenders match some 3 weeks back, that Bostic and Markopoulos blinded McNaler by splashing that 100 proof white lightning moonshine into his eyes. The finish of this match sees Bostic and Markopoulos go after McNaler on the outside, which drew the attention of the Tag Team champions over. Revolver was legal and the time and got distracted, leaving him to get rolled up by The Body Guy for a surprising 3 count. The Body Guy pins Adam Revolver?!? More importantly though, Bostic and Markopoulos laugh at Hayes and Vaez, with their reign perhaps coming to an end later tonight at the Saturday Night Special. Titus says he thinks the relationship of McNaler and Devore could also come to an end because can she resist the advances of somebody like The Body Guy after he exposes The Mobile Homers for the losers that they really are.

Match #2
Last week on TV, these 4 had a tag team match with Switchblade pinning Coleman for the fall. This week, the leader of The Marauders wants a piece of Switchblade as he looks to cement his status for when he later challenges Paredyse at the SNS with the TV Title possibly coming back home where it belongs. The finish of this match sees Paredyse try and alert the referee to Coleman's interference. This just leads them to try more and Coleman holds Switchblade while Jonze runs at him, but Coleman moves to knock him off the apron. Jonze turns back to Switchblade who dropped him down to the mat with a Flatliner. Switchblade then went up top and hit the frog splash, followed by a 3 count for the win. Not a good sign for Jonze, but Switchblade picks up another important win here today before he takes on Coleman 1 on 1 at the SNS. Coleman tries running in after the match, but Paredyse is in and together with Switchblade, they work together to clear the ring.

Match #3
This marks Trina's first match since an injury left her on the shelf and forced to vacate the Women's Title back in August. With the belt once again vacated after the last SNS, she returns tonight to battle Heidi Lovelace, winner of a femmes fatale 4 way last week on TV. Trina's opponent today Scarlett, has found herself at odds with recent referee of the women's matches Ray Lynn. Heidi joins on commentary to talk about the match tonight. The finish of the match sees Scarlett get Trina down for a 2, but she is adamant that it was in fact a 3. Ray Lynn insists it was a 2, leading Scarlett to eventually shove her and insist it was a 3. Heidi thinks that is enough for a DQ as even Scarlett seems to think so too, asking the dumb blonde what she plans to do about it. She can only point behind Scarlett, leading her to eventually turn and walk into a full nelson slam from Trina, and a 3 count. Heidi seems impressed by how little Trina seems to have lost with the injury and knows she will have her work cut out for her tonight.

Up next, Mr. Pec-tacular Jessie Godderz takes to the ring and demands that Mo Green of Mo Mney Associates get out there now. When Green does not, Godderz says he can only pose so long before the people get restless, but actually since this is Louisville, he could probably pose all day since none have ever seen a body anywhere close to his and are lazy to do anything by nature. Green finally comes out with Godderz immediately asking who the mystery opponent is for tonight. Godderz says actually to hold on because he knows who it is. He went out and got Mr. Media Cliff Compton, but Godderz hates to break it to him, he is the only thing the media cares about and Compton is old news. Green says that it is not Compton, but ... but Godderz interrupts. He says maybe it's the Cat Ernest Miller, who Green managed in the big time many years back. Godderz goes on to say that the only reason Miller ever even made it to the big time was because he was not around yet and when he arrived, he gave big time a new definition. Green says it is not Miller. Godderz asks if it's any of the old Bolin Associates zeros, but Green quickly says no. At this point, the crowd knows exactly who it is, as would anybody else that has followed OVW. They start the chanting the name as Green starts it up "S .......... I ............... L ............ V .......... I ............ OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
And with that out comes The Superstar Chris Silvio to a big pop as he returns to the Davis Arena. He enters the ring, ducks a clothesline from Godderz, who turns and gets blasted with the Superman punch. Godderz goes down and rolls out to the floor, where he cannot even stand. Green and Silvio celebrate, but the real test is later tonight at the SNS when they go 1 on 1 in an actual match. The big news though for now is that Chris Silvio is back in the Ohio Valley, the first time in over a year. No sign of the hula hoop girl Mary Jane though to the dismay of some.

Dean Hill: Welcome back and we are still reeling from that return. Chris Silvio, back? Didn't think I'd see that.
Gilbert Corsey: And not only back, but back in action tonight. Saturday Night Special, only way to see it is to come down here live to the Davis Arena. Doors open at 7:30, and tickets are just $10. A great bargain if you ask me, and 8 big matches signed. Starting with what you just saw, Chris Silvio, back here in the Ohio Valley, and he has a big test in the form of Jessie Godderz.
Michael Titus: And don't get used to it because as quickly as he came back, he'll be gone! Courtesy of Mr. Pec-tacular.
Dean Hill: Also tonight, TV Title at stake when Paredyse defends against Shiloh Jonze, a lot more than just the belt at stake there.
Gilbert Corsey: That's right Dean, a man's pride on the line as well. And speaking of Jonze, the other half of The Marauders is in action when Joe Coleman takes on Rudy Switchblade, who has been on a tear of late. Coleman will have his work cut out for him if he is to get through him tonight.
Dean Hill: And that brings us to another title match, Southern Tag Titles on the line. Champions Michael Hayes and Mohammad Ali Vaez to defend against Dylan Bostic and Evan Markopoulos. I don't necessarily think they're the better team, but those 2 slimy jerks just might be able to cheat their way into a win as they have shown out here lately. Wouldn't surprise me in the least.
Michael Titus: What I want to see though is Adam Revolver and The Body Guy. I want to see him wow all the women here and Brittany Devore to show her true colors. She'll leave Ted The Trailer McNaler in a heart beat because, well, look at The Body Guy. Need I say more?
Dean Hill: Yeah, a lot more. We also have the Women's Title at stake. No champion now, but that all changes tonight when Trina returns and takes on Heidi Lovelace. A new champion guaranteed tonight.
Gilbert Corsey: And of course, not forgetting the main event here tonight, but Mike Mondo challenging Marcus Anthony for the Southern Title. He's been at the top before, he could get there again.
Dean Hill: And let's not forget Eddie Diamond against Johnny Spade as well
Gilbert Corsey: It all happens tonight, Davis Arena. When we come back though, our main event today so stay tuned. Mike Mondo, Marcus Anthony, in the same ring. I can't wait!
-- Fifth commercial break --
Match #4
Well documented here the implications of this with a non title win giving Mondo a big push here on TV, only mere hours ahead of his title shot later tonight. On the other hand, knowing Timmy Danger, they could look to get an early start on the festivities and take out Mondo out now before the match even gets started. The commentators mention and push tension on the heel side with Spade accidentally superkicking Danger a couple weeks back and with it well known, he wants a shot at Anthony and the title. The finish builds to both Mondo and Anthony taking tags to come in at the same time, and Mondo manages to hold his own. It takes some effort, but he gets Anthony to 1 knee. Danger gets up on the apron as Mondo goes and grabs him. This brings in Spade, waiting for Mondo to turn so he can catch him with a superkick. Anthony however shoves him out of the way and goes after Mondo himself. Before he can do anything though, Spade shoves Anthony. Mondo then gets in a kick to the gut of the champion, grabbing his head as he is hunched over and giving him a facebuster into the mat. Anthony is down as Mondo goes for the cover, but before the 3, Danger pulls the referee out. This is grounds for an immediate DQ, but also grounds for Diamond to go after Danger. A chase ensues before Danger gets in and Diamond slides in, getting up into a superkick from Spade. Mondo brings Anthony up as Spade readies for another superkick. Mondo turns, ducks, and Spade superkicks Anthony! Mondo gets out to the outside as Timmy Danger's crew appears to be imploding here tonight with the commentators left to wonder again, was that on purpose or an accident? The push is also that all this chaos could throw Anthony off and lead to Mondo becoming a 3 time Southern Heavyweight champion.
