SEGMENT
Out to the ring walks to the owner of Fight Entertainment, Joseph Rother, to the sounds of "Disposable Heroes" by Metallica. He welcomes this hot Mexico City crowd to Arena Mexico tonight, promising them something different and promising them a night of intense and entertaining action the likes of which they have never seen. He goes on to say that tonight will be a card heavy with qualifying matches. These matches are qualifiers for the World Heavyweight title tournament that is coming. Now, tonight, there will be four matches, which will produce four qualifiers. The problem is, there are only three slots a lotted for Fight Entertainment. You'll have to tune in next week to find out how that will be settled, but for now, enjoy the competition!
MATCH ONE
WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE TOURNAMENT QUALIFIER
FATAL FOUR-WAY: 10 MINUTE TIME LIMIT
Homicide

Results: Homicide pins La Sombra to advance.
Notes: Homicide manages to use his veteran skills and sense of timing to come up big in this opening contest. Sombra, Puma, and Dutt are among some of the fastest competitors you are likely to find on any roster around the world, but Homicide is no slouch, and was able to catch Sombra with a big Ace Crusher after an aerial misadventure to pin his shoulders down for the three count and earn his advancement.
Post-Match: Puma and Dutt would have to be separated by officials, as they continued to try and trade blows after the bell had sounded. Obviously these two are going to want a piece of one another at a later date to settle this score.
MATCH TWO

Results: Kana submits Io Shirai.
Notes: The former World Women's champion, Kana, would have a very brutal and short contest with the fiery Io Shirai here tonight that had every fan in this arena on their feet screaming and cheering. These two girls absolutely mauled each other and showed some great speed and ferocity throughout the contest. Kana would have to opt for her ground game to overcome the aerialist, and locked on her Kana-gon to get the submission. Kana seems poised for a rematch with AJ Lee in the future to try and regain her lost possession.
MATCH THREE

Results: Shinsuke Nakamura submits CIMA to advance.
Notes: The pace of this match was kept quick by all parties, but you could see the slight power advantage went to Nakamura, and he tried to use that to his advantage. Nakamura's striking seemed to send shutters throughout the building, as these fans basked in his technique. CIMA would seem very close to ending this match, trying for his Meteora to Nakamura, but Nakamura would roll under it and catch CIMA with the Shining Triangle, locking him down to gain the submission. It should be noted that a submission in a match like this is pretty hard to come by, but Averno and Guerrero were too busy brawling in the audience to really give notice. Their personal vendetta seemed to be much more important to them, a trait that could be cultural, as titles are not traditionally that important to the luchadore when compared to personal pride. There seemed to be a lot of pride between these two, and it potentially cost them tonight.
MATCH FOUR

Notes: AJ Lee has not made life easy for Sara Del Rey, a woman who has been looking to win the World Women's championship for quite some time. At the last show they were involved in together, Lee had managed to also make an enemy of Awesome Kong, leading to this show down. Cheerleader Melissa is a very dangerous and powerful competitor, so with her skills and AJ Lee's tactics, they were very formidable tonight. Melissa seemed to just want to prove herself to be in the caliber of these ladies, and there's no question she should be in the title hunt. Del Rey would manage to turn her fortunes around though and get a big win, pinning her rival after a bridging Aztec Suplex.
Post-Match: Even in victory, Kong had to have the last word. She cleared the ring, and caught Melissa with a big Powerbomb to send a message. Perhaps Melissa will have something to say about this on the next show.

Results: Hernandez pins Super Crazy to advance.
Notes: This was perhaps the most physical of all of the contests so far, as these men took to striking and brawling right away and the heavy hits just never seemed to stop coming. Tanaka is a true killer of striker, and he made everybody pay in this match in a big way. Watching him lay into the diminutive Red was especially agonizing, but, to his credit, Red seemed to roll with the punches (and elbows) pretty well. Hernandez would manage to catch Crazy before he could dive out onto Red and Tanaka on the outside, slamming him hard with a Border Toss to get the advancement. The fans were really hot for "Super Mex" and gave him a great ovation post match.

Notes: The sequences in this match were absolutely beautiful, as these guys took to giving these fans a great show and told an excellent story. Michinoku really played the bad guy here, and the fans were all over it, as he showed no respect for anyone and repeatedly tried to cheat his way to victory and would pull out every underhanded tactic he could and dirty heel move to really get the other guys over. Bourne would hit the biggest dive of the show, hitting a Shooting Star Plancha onto everyone on the outside and getting a big ovation from this Mexico City crowd. Hayashi would manage to take Michinoku out with a Hayashi Cutter on the apron as Mistico would send Bourne out of the ring with a big Satellite Headscissors. This left them in the ring, where they had a nice sequence of reversals, eventually ending in Mistico delivering a quick Hurcanrana roll-up, and that was all it took! The fans were jumping and chanting for Mistico as he celebrated the hard fought win.
Post-Match: Taka would solidify himself as a top heel after the match, catching Mistico with a big Superkick that sent the fans into a near riot. Taka scurried off, laughing at his devious actions as the show came to an end.
