The camera pans the capacity crowd in San Antonio as Joe Dombrowski welcomes everyone to NWA Championship Wrestling. The camera cuts to the announcers position above the majority of the crowd in one corner of the arena as Dombrowski introduces his broadcast partners, “the Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels & “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. Michaels once more puts over the new NWA Lonestar and the talent being showcased tonight. Austin chooses to put over the number of International talents that will be competing tonight.

Shiima Xion | Volador Jr. |
The opening contest proved to be a great way to start the night, with the crowd solidly behind Volador. Xion played on the crowd early and became enthralled in several arguments at ringside when he slid out of the ring to break the momentum of Volador. Volador would fight from behind for the majority of the match but eventually caught Xion with the Ataque Depredador. Xion shocked the crowd by rolling his shoulder at the count of two but Volador looked undaunted and immediately went for the moonsault side slam. Xion would shove Volador off the top turnbuckle and connect with a 630 Senton to leave the crowd nearly speechless.
Austin puts over the talent of Xion while Michaels brings up the large Hispanic contingent that has come out in San Antonio. Dombrowski sent the show to its first commercial as he hyped a forthcoming match featuring the Young Bucks.

The show resumed with Dombrowski putting over Dragon Rojo Jr. & Rey Escorpion as former California Pro Tag Team Champions. Austin points out that a win for Matt & Nick could put them on a path to gold themselves.

Matt Jackson | Nick Jackson | Dragon Rojo Jr. | Rey Escorpion |
The Bucks were on top of their game though the San Antonio crowd was once more behind the luchadors from the outset of the match. Matt & Nick pulled out all the stops tonight, hitting everything from N’Sync to the Crazy Drive and even Early-Onset Alzheimer’s. Escorpion & Rojo gained momentum near the end but eventually it was More Bank for Your Buck on Rey that scored the victory.
Michaels put over the tremendous showing from the Young Bucks and comments on how much they resemble a team from his past.

Roderick Strong | Tony Nese |
This would easily be considered the match of the night as Strong and Nese took everything each other had and then found another gear. Strong would use his experience to gain the early advantage and wore down Nese with about every possible variation of a backbreaker seen in the business. Strong would score several one counts and the first near fall of the match with the Power Breaker. Nese would slowly comeback and caught Strong with several roundhouse kicks before connecting with a German suplex hold that barely garnered him a two count. Nese would have a piledriver attempt countered and Strong quickly caught him with the CX ’03 and then the End of Heartache to score another near fall. Strong slapped the mat in frustration before connecting with the CX ’02 and locking in the Strong Hold. Nese would battle for the ropes as the crowd began to will him to find the strength. Nese was within mere inches of the bottom rope when Strong dragged him back to the center of the ring. Nese once more tried to pull himself across the ring but eventually the referee would have to lift his arm to check for consciousness. Nese would keep his hand off the mat the second time his arm was dropped and somehow found the bottom rope with his outstretched right hand. Strong would waste little time though and quickly bounced off the ropes to connect with the Sick Kick, yet Nese was able to roll his shoulder at the last possible moment. Strong immediately hooked the leg again but Nese once more rolled his shoulder before the three count. Strong’s frustration would grow and the support Nese was now getting from the crowd did nothing to help. Strong would pull Nese to his feet for the Gibson Driver but Nese would drop to one knee. Nese would then power out and connect with a Reverse Piledriver for near three count. Both men lay on the canvas for several moments before Strong would pull himself into the corner and look for the Sick Kick once more on the slowly rising Nese. Nese would bend backwards to avoid the kick and then connect with a vicious three kick combo of his own. Nese would then connect with a deadlift German suplex before stunning the crowd with the victory following a 450 splash.
The crowd gave a standing ovation to both men as Austin put over Strong and Nese as the sort of talent that NWA Lonestar can bank on for a long time to come Dombrowski pushed this match as the reason NWA Lonestar can eventually become a major player within the Alliance before sending the show to the final commercial break.

The show would resume with Dombrowski hyping the laurels of Shinsuke Nakamura and Masato Tanaka, pointing out that they were recently released and were making this stop in NWA Lonestar before returning to Japan.
Rush | Texano Jr. | Shinsuke Nakamura | Masato Tanaka |
Rather than try to outdo the previous match, these four men simply decided to pack as much action as possible into the time they were given. The referee had the unenviable task of trying to keep track of the legal men and maintain as much order as possible in and outside of the ring. Rush and Nakamura battled both in and out of the ring almost nonstop whether they were the legal men or not. Tanaka used his experience to gain control of the match for his team but upon tagging in Nakamura, he insisted upon Texano tagging out to Rush. Rush would eventually hit the Martillo Negro for a two count and Nakamura would do the same following the Boma Ye. Rush caused an absolute frenzy among the San Antonio crowd when he stunned everyone with the Toque de Espaldas for the three count.
Dombrowski put over Los Hijos Del Toros and how big Rush pinning Nakamura is on the International stage before reminding the fans to stay tuned for more exciting news in the coming days from NWA Lonestar.
