NWA UK: Women's Title Tournament

This was a very special event with a pretty nice turn out for a womens only show with the main event crowning the first NWA UK Women's champion! Dave Bradshaw wasn't teaming on commentary with Darren Burridge on this show, instead the NWA WORLD Womens champion, AJ Lee provided color commentary as well as scouting the talent coming to NWA UK.

FIRST ROUND TOURNAMENT BOUT
Amazing Kong vs. Gail Kim

This was a knock down drag out battle to start off this tournament, in most peoples brackets these two would be in the finals, but tonight they face off in the first womens match in NWA UK! Gail Kim used her speed to take Kong off her feet with a huge hurrincanrana but Kong would roar back with a discus lariat that sent Kim flying! Amazing Kong thought she had the win but Gail would kick out! Amazing Kong would continue to batter Kim hitting her with a spinning backfist this time but Kim would just fight back to her feet! Kim would mount a comeback snapping off a head scissors before trying to go up top with a moonsault but Kong would get her knees up and soon after plant Gail with a powerbomb still only getting a two count! Kong's eyes couldn't get wider as she was stunned that Kim was still fighting! Kong would collapse Kim with another spinning backfist before scooping up and powerbombing Gail again to finally put her away after an absolute battle!

FIRST ROUND TOURNAMENT BOUT
Madison Eagles vs. "The Punk Princess" Christina Von Eerie

These two ladies put on a nice opening salvo of holds with Eagles nearly caving in Eeries' chest with a kick. Eerie would answer back with a chop only to get kicked again by Eagles before Eagles would kick the hell out of Eerie trying to pull Christina towards the middle of the ring but the Punk Princess would pick the legs of Eagles trying to sneak out a win with a matchbook style pin for a two count. Madison would fight Eerie but eventually whipped her over with a vertical suplex before applying a chin lock that Eerie would have to rally the crowd for help to get out of the hold. Eerie would try for the pedigree but Eagles would power out and let out a screech before blasting Christina with a buzzsaw kick putting the Punk Princess on the mat for a three count.

FIRST ROUND TOURNAMENT BOUT
"Fightin' Irish" Rhia O'Reilly vs. Rebecca Knox

Rhia would ask for a test of strength from Knox to open this match and after some jocking Knox would use a kick to the gut following up with a knuckle lock suplex trying to float over for a pin but Rhia would bridge. Knox would knee the thighs of O'Reilly trying to force her to break the bridge going for another pin attempt. The two ladies would battle for control like this a few more times keeping the knuckle lock as they got back to a vertical base, neither woman wanting to give. Eventually Knox would kick at a hand breaking the lock before whipping Rhia to the mat with the other finally getting an advantage. Rhia is a fighter and absorbed a beating from Knox who couldn't figure out what it would take to beat O'Reilly on this night. Rhia would score with forearm shots and finally a northern lights suplex for a two count. Rhia would immediatly take Knox back to the mat a few moments later putting her in the cloverleaf forcing Knox to submit or be broken in half.

FIRST ROUND TOURNAMENT BOUT
Jenny Sjodin vs. Katarina Waters

The world traveled Waters faced off against the jiu-jitsu expert Sjodin in a match that saw Jenny dominate the match making many take notice as she quickly submitted Katarina with a cross arm breaker. Sjodin looked like a favorite due to how little she expended going into the next round!

SEMI-FINAL TOURNAMENT BOUT
Rhia O'Reilly vs. Amazing Kong

O'Reilly is tough as they come but her Rocky Balboa style of absorbing punishment was put to the test by Amazing Kong! Rhia made the mistake of trying a test of strength with Kong, and Kong really made her pay for it as he hurled Reilly with an overhead suplex before kicking her in the head viciously. O'Reilly tried to fight out of a two handed deadlift chokeslam but wasn't able to as Kong nearly got the victory. Rhia was dazed but she tried to fight back against Kong but fell victim to a powerbomb giving Kong the advance to the finals.

SEMI-FINAL TOURNAMENT BOUT
Jenny Sjodin vs. Madison Eagles

This was another battle with Eagles trying to keep herself from being submitted by the BJJ expert. Sjodin was pretty fresh for this one after dominating Waters, but Eagles is a fighter and was able to drag herself to the ropes while being locked in a cross arm breaker. Sjodin wouldn't break the hold showing the world her violent streak and she ended up getting DQ'd, once Jenny realized what happened she'd snap shoving the ref and demanding he change the decision! When the ref refused she'd drag him to the mat with a cross armbreaker and eventually was pulled away by security as she kicked and clawed all the way to the back.

FATAL FOUR WAY BOUT
Becky James vs. Emma vs. Jessyka Williams vs. Annie Maye

The winner of this match would get a shot at the NWA UK Women's title and each lady would try to make a case of why they should get the chance. The match would be a revolving door with each woman getting a chance to show off with the ending coming fast and furious Emma got hit with a Tokyo Pop from Annie Maye but was immediatly planted with a double arm DDT from Williams! Emma would hit a mafia kick on Williams but out of nowhere James would come sailing into the shot with a cross body off the top to get the win.

NWA UK WOMENS TITLE BOUT
Madison Eagles vs. Amazing Kong

Madison was favoring her arm after nearly getting it torn from it's socket by Sjodin earlier in the night. Amazing Kong would go for blood attacking the arm of Eagles putting her through hell before trying for a double underhook but Eagles would wiggle free and roundhouse kick Kong who looked pissed more than pained. Kong tried for a spinning backfist but Eagles would duck firing off more kicks with Kong catching one trying for a powerbomb but Eagles would slide down behind attempting a sunset flip, but Kong would stay standing trying to sit on Madison! Eagles would slide out at the last second, letting out a screech before buzzsaw kicking Kong! Eagles thought she had it but Kong was able to kick out, grabbing a hand ful of Eagles hair slamming her to the mat, waiting for Eagles to get back up... SPINNING BACKFIST! Eagles crumples to the mat and Kong thought she had the win but Madison would kick out! The crowd was stunned as Kong tried to powerbomb Eagles looking to end it but Eagles would reverse with a hurrincanrana screeching again before buzzsaw kicking Kong even harder than before! This time Madison Eagles was able to hold Kong down, Madison Eagle would become the first NWA UK Women's Champion!


The show ended with Eagles being presented the NWA UK Women's title as he she points at AJ Lee. AJ is silent as Burridge tries to get her to respond to the obvious challenge, but the deranged Lee's eye would twich before she smirks evily.

A womens only show, liked it. Can see a few chalengers for the NWA World Womens coming from NWA UK. Good win and push for Madison Eagles to get the belt in the final over Kong.

Love the booking... Eagles over Kong is awesome as the final. Sjodin has a strong position still and the rematch is an obvious starting point. Kim, Von Eerie, James & O'Reilly are a great group to pull the next several contenders.
