The show opened up with Tommy Dreamer coming out and saying that tonight four men would fight for a shot at the World Championship. These four men would be drawn at random. The winners would face off next week on a special edition of Breakdown to determine who would face the NWA World Champion. The losers would battle to see who would get a match with Christoper Daniels for the CPW Television Championship!
He went on to also say that Evan and Kofi would be in action in a Beat the Clock Challenge. Fastest man to win, picks the stipulation for the match at Wrestling Classic.
He said that Del Rio and Joe would ALSO be in action tonight. Again, the fastest match gets the decision.
Money Inc came out and told Dreamer they wanted another shot at the Tag Titles! They said they have been getting screwed and short changed since day one! Dreamer said that tonight LAX was facing the Can-Am Express, so they would have to wait. This brought out LAX, who said they didn't care if they faces one team or one hundred teams, the result is always going to be the same... LAX dominates! Dreamer made the match a three way, and said that next week, LAX would find out who their Wrestling Classic opponents will be. LAX said it didn't matter WHO they were... They would meet the same fate as every other team in the NWA.... defeat!
One on One Match
Jackie Gayda pinned Chii Tomiya with the Swinging Side Slam in 04:16.
A good back and forth match, with Chii getting a few good HARD shots in on Gayda, to the point that Gayda was bleeding from
the nose as the match was ending.
Tag Team Match
The Basham Brothers (Danny Basham and Doug Basham) defeated Ink Inc. (Shannon Moore and Jesse Neal) when Doug Basham pinned Jessey Neal after a backslide in 02:43.
The Basham Brothers didn't really dominate, but they had enough to get past the win-less Ink Inc. This match was one sided, with the more experienced Bashams controlling the tempo and cheating from bell to bell.
One on One Match
Mio Shirai defeated Mickie James via pinfall in 01:55.
Prior to this match, Victoria told James to "Get the job done or get the hell out". As James was making her entrance, Mi blindsided James and used a chair to her sisters advantage. As the match started Mio targeted the area's her sister attacked. It wasn't long before Mio was able to get the pin fall.
Championship Challenge Match
Dolph Ziggler pinned Jim Powers with the Zig Zag in 05:36.
Talk about one sided. Ziggler beat the hell out of Powers and dominated the match. One had to wonder if it was rigged, so Taz got up and looked in the tumbler, and low and behold, every name on the CPW roster was there! After Taz got back to his seat, he said this was a legit tournament, but how lucky was Dolph to get Powers? And how lucky will whoever he has to face next week?
Beat the Clock Match
Evan Sydal defeated Alberto Del Rio by count out in 04:30 when Samoa Joe chased Del Rio to the back.
Evan came out, sad said he was only going to wrestle tonight because he so desperately wanted to humiliate his former partner.... Kofi. He wanted to show the word what a loser Kofi is, and that he was the true brains of the team. As Evan was about to start again, ADR came out NOT looking happy. He took Evan's mic and said that "Tony Dripper" told him to come out.
He, ADR was THE most brutal man in the NWA, and he was being forced to wrestle? The CPW champion, being FORCED to wrestle so close to his match with that 'fat sow' Joe?
Evan, being an opportunist, charged the champion and took the fight to him. The fans changed not for one of the two, as favorites, but to hurt the other. The fans despised BOTH men, but both men put on a very good match. In the end, Joe made his way down to the ring, and ADR grabbed his belt and took off, heading for the back. Evan got the count out win and told Kofi it was gonna be a cold day in hell before he beat that time!
Championship Challenge Match
Jack Swagger pinned Matt Morgan after the Doctor Bomb in 07:07.
This match was another blind draw, and it pitted two of the gifted talents in the CPW against each other. Morgan's cockiness got the best of him and led to his undoing. Morgan had Swagger beaten, but wanted to hit the Carbon footprint in the corner. Swagger dropped out of the way, and hit the Doctor Bomb on a crotched Morgan for the win to face Ziggeler next week!
Beat the Clock Match
Kofi Kingston pinned Samoa Joe with the Trouble in Paradise in 04:29 after Alberto Del Rio distracted Joe.
This match went back and forth. Joe was the more powerful of the two and Kofi the faster. Both men came close to ending it, but in the end, ADR distracted Joe long enough for Kofi to blast him with the Trouble in Paradise for the win! As the clock showed the time of 4:29, it then showed Evan's time of 4:30! Kofi had a smile a mile long on his face! He took the mic and told the crowd, and Evan that the match at Wrestling Classic was going to be a Caribbean Strap Match!
Triangle Match for the CPW Tag Team Titles
LAX (Anarquia and Hernandez) defeated Money Inc. (Robert Roode and Ted DiBiase) and The Can-Am Express (David Hart Smith and Kurt Angle) when Anarquia defeated Ted DiBiase by disqualification in 08:47 to retain the CPW Tag Team Titles.
This was an all-out war. All three teams came in and gave it their all. LAX was the powerhouses, while Money Inc. were the ring warriors. The Can-Am Express blended both to near perfection. It was truly a great main event match. In the end, Ted lost his cool, and it cost him the tag titles. As the show went off the air, Money Inc stood in the ring with the tag titles in hand as LAX and The Can-Am Express lay decimated in the ring, from multiple chair shots!
Sorry they are late, and so short.
