August 2nd, 2014
Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center
San Antonio, Texas
The camera pans the sold out Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas as Jeremy Borash and former NWA World Heavyweight Champion Terry Funk welcome the viewing audience to the first televised episode of NWA Championship Wrestling, seen throughout the great state of Texas! Borash is quick to announce the main event of the evening with two Japanese superstars doing battle - Daisuke Sekimoto challenges Satoshi Kojima! Funk notes the match was originally scheduled two weeks ago but was pushed back to be the main event here tonight!
The commentary duo are cut off by the sound of wild stallions blasting the public address system as the hottest tag team in professional wrestling, los Hijos del Terror, make their way to the ring! The San Antonio fans give them a warm reception as Texano Jr. grabs a microphone! Texano says they have been terrorizing teams left and right this year, going undefeated no matter the competition the Lonestar officials have thrown at them. Texano passes the microphone to his partner. Rush says if they have outgrown the competition here in Texas, they are looking to the world! More specifically, the NWA World Tag Team Champions!
Borash squeals "Oh boy!" but cannot continue his thought as Rush is cut off by the music of the Bravado Brothers, Harlem and Lancelot, who step out from the backstage area and stand on the entrance stage. Lancelot has a microphone of his own, telling the two Mexicans in the ring that they are looking at the hottest up and coming tag team in professional wrestling! Harlem takes the microphone from his brother and says they are so hot that they just might want the next shot for the NWA World Tag Team titles!
Texano has the microphone once again and tells the Bravado Brothers not to forget that los Hijos del Terror already beat them in a six man tag team match earlier this year ... but if the Bravados want to get beat again, they will gladly take them up on the offer, telling them to get in the ring! Harlem agrees, and drops the microphone! As the crowd rises to their feet and roars with anticipation, the Bravados head down the ramp, but stop short of the ring! After a short stare down, they smile at each other and head back to the stage.
Lancelot picks up the microphone and says they won't be fighting tonight in the garbage dump of San Antonio. Instead, they will wrestle los Hijos del Terror next week in Dallas, with the winner becoming number one contenders to the NWA World Tag Team Championships! Rush takes the microphone and says "See you in Dallas, boys!"
Jeremy Borash can't contain his excitement as he confirms next week's main event will be los Hijos del Terror versus the Bravado Brothers with the winners challenging the NWA World Tag Team Champions, Liberty Pro's Briscoe Brothers, on August 31st at Summer Stampede! Funk throws in a comment about the match being a barn burner as the camera shows Kalisto backstage with the Motor City Machine Guns and Velvet Sky. Borash tells the audience the three men will team up after the first commercial break of the evening!

Borash and Funk welcome the viewers back from commercial break as we prepare for the opening match of the night!
Both the Motor City Machine Guns and the Young Bucks are relative newcomers to Texas area while Kalisto and Omega wrestled each other in the main event of NWA Championship Wrestling two months ago, in which Kalisto emerged victorious. All six men were able to showcase their skills in separate parts of the match. The Machine Guns figured they had the contest won after hitting Omega with the Skull and Bones neck breaker / cross body double team maneuver, but Matt Jackson broke Shelley's pin attempt up. When Omega awoke from his slumber, he used a school boy pin on Sabin, but Shelly broke this attempt up with a stiff kick to Omega's face!
Finally, at the ten minute mark, Omega used a hurricanronna to take both him and Kalisto over the ropes and onto the arena floor. Sabin drop kicked Nick Jackson out of the ring and the Machine Guns used the Made In Detroit powerbomb / shiranui double team to win the match for their team at 10:41. After the match, the three victors celebrate with Sky hopping into the ring as well. She and Sabin lock lips as the announcers send the show to commercial break.

As we return from commercial break, Borash and Funk announce the upcoming match is the Lonestar debut of Jeff Hardy, who is well known in Texas for his reign as NWA Southwest Television Champion!
Two veterans of the ring collide here. In an interview with Renee Young that shows up during Kidd's entrance, he says he is looking to get back to his winning ways after his loss to Mistico a few weeks ago and he can't think of a better way to do so than by knocking off the fan favourite in Hardy. In a sign of respect, the two slap hands before the match begins.
The first few minutes of the contest, Kidd was working on Hardy's legs and back to setting him up for his Dungeon Lock triangle choke! At the five minute mark, Hardy blocked a kick and hit a spinning back kick to his opponent's head, knocking both men to the ground! The referee begins his count, but Hardy slowly makes it to his feet. He walks over to Kidd, who locks on the Dungeon Lock out of nowhere! Funk points out this is why Kidd worked on Hardy's legs earlier in the match as Hardy will not have the leg strength to power out of the move!
Hardy shows his true heart and determination, however, by rolling into the ropes, forcing Kidd to break the hold. Kidd shows frustration, allowing Hardy time to breathe and get back into the match. A few minutes later, Hardy hits Kidd with a Twist of Fate cutter and seals the victory with the Swanton Bomb at 8:30.

Backstage, Shiima Xion is walking down a hallway when he passes Tyler Breeze, who is holding his cell phone in front of his face, obviously preparing to take a picture of himself. Xion does a double take of Breeze and pauses for a moment. "Excuse me, but I have to say," Xion starts. "I have been walking around the entire building tonight and have been disgusted by the gross people in San Antonio and Lonestar." Breeze, with a puzzled look on his face, looks away from his phone for the first time since Xion entered the area.
Xion continues, saying people are either fat, smelly, hairy, ugly, or all four. But looking at Breeze is a breath of fresh air - no pun intended. Breeze finally responds, saying he has noticed the same things, telling Xion that he is not so bad himself. As Xion smiles, Breeze takes a deep breath and exhales flamboyantly. The duo begin to walk down the hallway together as Breeze asks Xion what kind of hairspray he uses and the camera fades away.

The camera fades into Borash and Funk, who run down the accomplishments of each wrestler in the main event. Since joining NWA Lonestar at the promotion's reboot in May, Sekimoto has been one of the best heavyweights in the promotion, rolling out victories over Alexander Rusev and Lance Archer, no easy feats in themselves. Free agent Satoshi Kojima has been equally as impressive in the same time span with victories over Silas Young and Luke Gallows. As Funk mentioned before the bout started, something has to give tonight!
The match itself was a power versus power match as one would expect given the two participants of the bout, with the decisive factor being Sekimoto's youth versus Kojima's experience. The two men stall for a few moments before locking horns with a grapple with Sekimoto's power winning as he pushes Kojima into the corner. Sekimoto catches Kojima with two lariats and drops him with a belly to belly suplex. Kojima rolls to the outside and we head to our final commercial break of the evening!

We return from commercial break with Kojima holding Sekimoto in a headlock. Sekimoto battles back after the referee questions whether he can continue the fight. He gets to his feet and elbows himself out of the headlock. The two wrestle an even bout for the remainder of the contest with each man controlling certain portions of the match. Finally, the even contest ended with Sekimoto leveling Kojima with a lariat and following it up with a bridging German suplex to win the match at 11:50.
After the contest, Sekimoto and Kojima share a respectful handshake before the victor grabs the microphone. Kojima leaves the ring and heads backstage as Sekimoto thanks him for the match. Sekimoto says he has been the best heavyweight in Lonestar and much like Rush and Texano Jr. earlier tonight, he wants to prove it. Sekimoto officially challenges Samoa Joe to a match at Summer Stampede on August 31st! He drops the microphone and exits the ring, momentarily pausing to pose with fans.
An excited Borash thanks the fans and asks them to tune in next week from Dallas to see Samoa Joe's response before he hypes the main event of los Hijos del Terror and the Bravado Brothers!
