Summer Stampede Kickoff
Triple Threat Tag Team Match
This was an excellent match that packed a ton of action in between the bells and the format allowed that action to spill in and out of the ring. The chaos began as Matt Jackson sent Gabriel through the ropes and to the floor with a front dropkick, setting up the Crazy Dive. Romero would follow with a somersault plancha and Koslov would take things up a notch with a turnbuckle shooting star press to the men at ringside. Kidd would wisely wait for most of the men to make it to their feet before going for a suicide dive. However the Young Bucks cut the dive off with a wicked Early Onset Alzheimer's variation that caught Kidd as he came through the ropes. After the action returned to the ring, the near falls came in abundance as Koslov and Kidd began chain wrestling as if turning the clock back to Dynamite Kid and Bret Hart match of 1982. Matt Jackson just stood idly in the corner until he saw his opportunity and caught Koslov with the Worst Case Scenario for another near fall. The crowd was thrilled with the action and eventually it must have perked the interest of the NWA North American Tag Team Champions, as the Pistols could be seen standing near the entrance way.
The referee soon found himself at a complete disadvantage as the tags came quickly and the near fall breakups even faster. This led to a compilation of each teams best moves as Romero caught Gabriel with a roundhouse kick, the Young Bucks destroyed Romero with the N'Sync allowing Kidd to catch Matt Jackson with the Code Blue. Nick Jackson didn't fare any better as he turned into the Soviet Strike, knocking him out of the ring. Koslov immediately grabbed Kidd for the Red Scare II but Gabriel catches Koslov with a Springboard front dropkick from behind causing Koslov to fall on top of Kidd and find himself in the Dungeon Lock. With the Young Bucks now outside of the ring and Romero still ailing in one corner, Kidd strains to submit Koslov. Koslov continues to fight the hold as he and Kidd are both crushed by a 450 splash from Gabriel. All three men writhe in pain until Gabriel is able to drape his arm across Koslov for the three count at 9:51 to put them in the NWA North American Tag Team Championship match.
The Pistols quickly make their way to the ring and slide under the bottom rope, attacking Kidd & Gabriel as they lay on the mat and referee is still raising their arms. Taven picks up Kidd and drops him with the Climax as Bennett follows suit with the Box Office Smash on Gabriel. The crowd berates the Champions as they pick up their Championships and pose for the crowd. As they turn to pose for the other side of the Gonzalez Convention Center they are met with superkicks from the Young Bucks to the delight of the fans. Matt Jackson then picks up Taven and sets him up for a reverse piledriver. Nick Jackson then uses a springboard 450 to assist Matt and Taven is sprawled on the mat motionless following the More Bang for Your Fuck. The crowd is going crazy as Koslov then grabs Bennett for an Inverted Death Valley Driver, while the Young Bucks are trying to direct Romero's attention. Rocky slowly climbs to the apron as the crowd roars, spurring him on as he springboards into the ring and connects for the Contract Killer. The Young Bucks grab the NWA North American Tag Team Championships and hand them to Kidd & Gabriel before raising their hands as if in victory. All three teams end up shaking hands before the Bucks and Hooligans slide out of the ring, leaving the International Airstrike holding the Championships and standing tall over the Pistols.

And now, NWA Lonestar Presents ...
Summer Stampede
August 31st, 2014
Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center
San Antonio, Texas
"The wait is over!" Jeremy Borash passionately says this emphatic statement as the camera pans the sold out the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas! When the camera settles on Borash and colour commentator Terry Funk, Borash welcomes the viewing audience to NWALonestar.com for the most anticipated pay per view of the summer, it's Summer Stampede! The event is highlighted by four championship matches with the main event seeing "the Samoan Submission Machine" Samoa Joe defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Daisuke Sekimoto!
The semi main event will see Lonestar's Bravado Brothers and los Hijos del Toros challenge Liberty Pro's World Tag Team Champions, the Briscoe Brothers. The Briscoe Brothers were victorious in both triple threat singles matches leading into tonight's championship defense and they definitely have momentum on their side. Also in action is North American Heavyweight Champion Mark Jindrak, wrestling out of Chicago's Windy City Pro Wrestling. He faces a surprise challenger in BJ Whitmer, who interrupted Bo Dallas' challenge and later defeated Dallas in a number one contenders match.
The final championship match will see International Airstrike challenge NWA Mid Atlantic's Pistols, who have held the North American Tag Team Championships for over a year. International Airstrike were victorious in a triple threat match earlier tonight on the Summer Stampede pre show. Before we get to the championship matches, we have six man mayhem action kicking us off. Borash and Funk send us to Bobby Cruise for the official introductions!

Six Man Mayhem
As the title of the match suggests, this match was pure mayhem to watch. There was not a lot of psychology but there was a lot of high flying that got the fans on their feet. One moment in particular saw Ibushi, who was making a guest appearance from Mexico's Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre promotion, hit a 450 degree splash on all five men who were battling ringside. The fast paced action came to an end when Kalisto used the Solida del Sol on Fox to win the match at 7:50.
Kalisto celebrates his victory in the ring as Borash sends us to the backstage area where Renee Young is with "the Charismatic Enigma" Jeff Hardy!

Six Person Mixed Tag Team Match
This is a mixed tag team match, not an intergender match, Borash explains, which means only the males can wrestle other males. If a female tags out of the match, the other female must tag out as well. Tessmacher and Sky start the bout out with some heated words that leads to Tessmacher shoving Sky's face. Sky tackles her down, but Tessmacher squirms free and makes a quick tag before taking too much damage as the referee pulls Sky off and sends her out of the ring! Shelley gets in the ring to face Edwards, looking to avenge the attack on him and his partner a few weeks ago.
The men wrestle each other for a few minutes. At the five minute mark of the match, with Shelley knocked out of the ring, Sabin makes the hot tag to Sky, forcing Tessmacher to come into the ring! Things look to go Sky's way, but Tessmacher quickly tags in Richards, and the two once again do not make contact with each other! Edwards and Richards make quick tags to keep fresh. At the seven minute mark, Richards sends Sabin flying into the ropes near his corner and he inadvertently knocks Sky out of the ring and into the barricade, which was set up closer to the ring to allow for more fans into the arena!
Richards quickly tags in Tessmacher, which means Sky is now legal in the match! Both Sabin and Shelley are down on the floor trying to help Sky, but the Wolves soon attack them. The referee's count out ends at fifteen as Sky rolls into the ring, but she is immediately hit with the Tess-Shocker! The Machine Guns can't break up the pin, and Tess' and the Wolves pick up the victory at 8:45!
The victors celebrate but leave the ring soon after as the Machine Guns get back into the ring to console a shocked and angered Sky, who is holding her face and staring an elated Tessmacher down!

If Xion and Breeze win, they get to give Anderson and Gallows a makeover
This is one of the biggest grudge matches of the night despite being just made official on last night's episode of NWA Championship Wrestling. Xion and Breeze have a major size disadvantage. With such a size disadvantage, Anderson and Gallows dominated the match. They toyed with their opponents, allowing them to make uncontested tags. This strategy proved to be a big mistake. Xion tagged himself into the match when Breeze was Irish whipped by Gallows. Gallows hit a big boot which knocked Breeze out of the ring. Xion came in, but Gallows wasn't fazed. After a short struggle, Gallows goes to power bomb Xion. Breeze climbs back onto the apron and kicks Gallows in the groin as he has Xion up in the air. Anderson knocks Breeze off the apron, but does not notice Xion roll Gallows up! The referee, who also did not see the groin kick, counts the pin and Xion and Breeze win the match at 8:40!
Borash is beside himself as Xion and Breeze celebrate their victory! Anderson can't believe what just happened as he checks on his partner, who is still holding his groin! Next Saturday on NWA Unlimited, Breeze and Xion will make over Anderson and Gallows!

Singles Match
"The Premier Athlete" gets an opportunity to make a name for himself tonight against "the Charismatic Enigma" Jeff Hardy. It was Nese who attacked Hardy four weeks ago in an attempt to get on the Lonestar television program and the attack led to a pay per view match against the former World Tag Team Champion. The match was a back and forth affair that saw Hardy look to end things at the five minute mark with a Twist of Fate, but Nese countered into a back body drop. A few minutes later, Nese hits Hardy with a German suplex and follows it up by impressively deadlifting Hardy from the ground and powerbombing him into the turnbuckles, knocking Hardy senseless! Somehow, Hardy was able to kick out before the three count. The ending of the competitive match came when Hardy attempted a moonsault but Nese caught him mid-air, drilling "the Charismatic Enigma" with a reverse piledriver for the win at 11:29.

NWA North American Tag Team Championships
It would seem that Kidd & Gabriel would be at an obvious disadvantage heading into this match after having to battle the Young Bucks and the Forever Hooligans on the pre-show just to get this Championship match. However, the actions of the Pistols following International Airstrike's win left Taven at the wrong end of the More Bang for Your Fuck and Bennett feeling the effects of the Contract Killer, so things actually seemed much more even as the opening bell rang. Things started slowly with both teams doing well selling the effects from earlier in the night with things picking up drastically when Taven and Kidd clashed. Taven worked strong sequences with both opponents and the teams were smart to only sprinkle in near falls after key moments. Kidd & Gabriel picked up the pace to gain the advantage until the power of Bennett turned the tide once more and led to a bit of a rest period allowing International Airstrike to gear up for the final sequence which saw great dives from both Gabriel and Taven. Bennett would eventually catch Gabriel with the Photo Finish but Justin would wriggle free and slide down Mike's back and connect with a discus elbow smash. Bennett would stumble forward before being dropped with a Russian legsweep to setup the 450 splash. Taven would find himself out of position, battling Kidd at ringside, as Gabriel stood on the top turnbuckle. The crowd roared as Gabriel rotated and it became a groan as Bennett rolled towards the corner. Gabriel met nothing but canvas and Bennett quickly capitalized by locking in the Go Back to Japan. Taven held the boot of Kidd as he tried to slide under the bottom rope, reaching for Gabriel as he slapped the mat to save himself from Bennett. The Pistols retain their titles at 12:34!

NWA North American Heavyweight Championship
The styles of offense were as clashed as the look of the two men as Whitmer used a gritty approach, utilizing every veteran tactic he could muster. Whitmer controlled the beginning of the match by using a multitude of holds and finding a counter to Jindrak just as he would begin gaining momentum. Whitmer would use a cradle suplex and a brainbuster to set himself up for a lariat but Jindrak would duck the clothesline and catch Whitmer with a tilt-a-whirl slam for a quick one count. Whitmer would kick out at two after a springboard clothesline and then duck under the Air Corleone to set Jindrak back up for the brainbuster. Jindrak would block the move though and counter with his own vertical suplex, though he would excite the crowd by holding Whitmer in the air for a count of ten before both men crashed to the mat. Jindrak would shake the cobwebs loose and drag Whitmer to his feet for the Mark of Excellence. Whitmer would counter the waist lock and hit a German suplex hold for a quick two count. Whitmer would then wait for Jindrak to stumble to his feet before going for the lariat but Jindrak was able to duck under for another waist lock and flatten BJ with the Mark of Excellence. Jindrak would hook the leg and held Whitmer down for the three count at 12:00. Jindrak celebrated following the match while Whitmer slammed his fist into the mat before rolling to the floor and staring a hole through the Champion as he walked towards the back.

Triple Threat Tag Team Match
NWA World Tag Team Championships
The Briscoe Brothers hold all of the momentum heading into their championship defense as they hold two separate victories in triple threat singles matches heading into Summer Stampede. As one would expect, especially with the World Tag Team Championships on the line, all three teams left everything in the ring. At the five minute mark, Rush hit a quick La Lanza on Lancelot but could not make the cover as the Briscoe Brothers interfered. A few minutes later, Harlem Bravado hits a brainbuster on Mark, but he can't make the cover either and Rush and Texano stop him.
Eventually, the referee loses all control of the match. As del Toros double team Harlem on the outside, Lancelot ducks under a big boot from Jay but walks right in to a crane kick from Mark, knocking him to the mat! Mark gets to the top of the turnbuckle and hits a Froggy Bow on Lancelot and goes for the pin! Jay stops Rush from breaking the count but Texano breaks it just in time. With both Bravados down and out, the Briscoes and Toros square off! Both teams go toe to toe with neither team having an advantage. Rush finally knocks Mark Briscoe out of the ring and hits him with a suicide dive. Jay stares at Texano, but Texano just points behind Jay, who turns around.
Gentleman's Agreement! The Bravados are back on their feet and hit Jay with their signature move! Rush quickly gets into the ring and knocks Harlem down with La Lanza! Texano ducks a clothesline and hits the Tornado Texas on Lancelot, pinning him for the win at 17:57! Los Hijos del Toros are the new NWA World Tag Team Champions!

NWA World Heavyweight Championship
It was finally time for Sekimoto and Joe to meet. With one World championship already changing hands tonight the sold out San Antonio crowd were worried their might be another. Despite the Lonestar fans adoration of Sekimoto it was clear that this is a Joe crowd here tonight! Sekimoto was willing to do anything to get his hands on the prized championship. At the five minute mark, he blocked a suicide dive attempt from Joe and hung the champion out to dry on the guardrails. Sekimoto couldn't capitalize initially, though, and later knocked Joe off the top rope after a superplex attempt. Sekimoto flew and hit a moonsault, but Joe was able to kick out at two.
It wasn't all domination by Sekimoto, though, as Joe had plenty of offense himself. He used plenty of stiff kicks to either keep the momentum in his favour or turn the momentum, but even he was shocked when Sekimoto kicked out of a muscle buster at the twelve minute mark. However, Sekimoto couldn't handle everything, and after Joe succeeded on a second superplex, he locked Sekimoto in the Coquina Clutch. After a battle of nearly a minute on the ground, Sekimoto was forced to tap out at 15:41! Samoa Joe retains the World Heavyweight Championship!

Apologies for being late. Didn't turn out to be as high of quality as I anticipated due to life happening, but it still turned out alright. Major thanks to Dustin Salyers, who contributed three matches to the card.
