Southern Tag Team Title match
Match #1VS |
Southern Tag Team champions The Sky Walkers defeat Anarquia & Raul Lamotta to retain the title @ 8:32 when Aaron Sky pinned Lamotta after a Double Superkick. The return of the multi time former champions Los Locos proves a failure against the younger upstart team that has been taking Ohio Valley tag teams by the horns since their capture of the championship. This marked their first successful title defense with Dean calling it a symbolic passing of the torch type moment from the best tag team from 5 years ago against what might just be the best team today. Of added note, in his return match in Ohio Valley, Anarquia looks sloppy at best and blew up within a few minutes. Clearly he took the younger Sky & Robbie Walker too lightly. Los Locos will need to go back to the drawing board if they intend to continue their pursuit, while the former champions Shiloh Jonze & The French Stallion have to be looking on, hoping they win War Games to find out what Doug Basham's plans might be for the Sky Walkers should he get the control he is after.
Women's Title Gauntlet match
Match #2VS |
Fall #1
Mary Elizabeth Monroe defeats Nikki St. John @ 1:34 via submission to The Rainbow Cross, a modified STF. Quick fall marks the start, and rightfully so given the gauntlet involves moving through essentially 9 singles matches with the Ohio Valley women. St. John looked good, until Monroe reversed a suplex attempt, held on and rolled through into her submission finisher for the tap out. The Rated G Superstar picks up the first win, but will need 8 more to become champion, so pretty unlikely.
Mary Elizabeth Monroe defeats Ray Lynn @ 0:48 via submission to The Rainbow Cross. Lynn seemed more concerned with playing to the fans and twerking, a distraction tactic maybe as she eventually jumped an unsuspecting Monroe for the brief moment she looked out to the crowd. Mere seconds later though, Monroe went behind on a hammerlock reversal and turned Lynn into the submission. The commentators spend time here wondering what the G stands for in Rated G Superstar, with Gilbert saying he has heard "girl", "good time", many different theories. Titus says he would offer his own, but doesn't want to turn this iPPV into a rated NC-17 affair.
Mary Elizabeth Monroe defeats Hannah Blossom @ 1:44 via submission to The Rainbow Cross. The Blossom twin came out and the 2 fan favorites engaged in a more friendly affair than the previous 2, but Hannah ultimately fell victim when she went for a suplex and Monroe instead blocked it, leaped up and locked her legs around and put her into the submission. The momentum is really going in the favor of Mary Elizabeth Monroe early. Afterwards, Monroe made what could be considered a crucial mistake when the referee went to check on Hannah, and so too did Mary herself, leading to ...
Taeler Hendrix defeats Mary Elizabeth Monroe @ 0:10 via pinfall with a schoolgirl from behind. The head of The Mean Girls had no problem taking advantage of the situation of Monroe checking on Hannah Blossom as she snuck in and rolled up Monroe from behind to eliminate her from the match. Dean was pretty critical of the move feeling Taeler may have even added a handful of the tights, while Titus called it perfectly legal and it was Monroe's fault for losing focus. A solid showing by Monroe in this match gets cut short, but Hendrix still has a long way to go as she yells for Monroe & Blossom to get out of her ring. Monroe helps Blossom to the back as Taeler mocks them.
Taeler Hendrix defeats Holly Blossom @ 1:14 via pinfall after a Roundhouse Kick to the head. Holly checks on her sister as she comes out, just giving her added motivation. Hendrix tries bargaining early, but ends up falling victim to a fiery offense from the second Blossom twin. Taeler would however duck a clothesline and catch Holly turning into her signature move. Holly went down and Taeler covered for the 3. Half of the women are now eliminated from this match.
Taeler Hendrix defeats Scarlett Bordeaux @ 1:29 via pinfall. The most bullied of The Mean Girls trio gets humiliated as she enters ready for competition, but Taeler instead forces her to lay down and get pinned. Scarlett is reluctant and the fans seem to be in her corner, chanting "no, no, no" to try and tell her not to. Nikki St. John comes back out and backs up Taeler. Eventually she lays on the mat and Taeler pins her with ease. A disappointed Scarlett rolls out as Taeler tells her to stop her crying because she just saved her from an inevitable defeat anyway.
Heidi Lovelace defeats Taeler Hendrix @ 0:32 via pinfall after a spear. Taeler herself fell victim to distraction here as the 2 subservient Mean Girls ended up getting into a shoving match with each other on the floor. Taeler yelled for them to both stop and focus on what mattered, herself and her winning the championship. Lovelace readied herself and took advantage of Taeler when she turned around, spearing her into next week and picking up the fall. Nikki & Scarlett were apologetic for their mistake but Taeler just freaked out and threw up the hand to them before leaving. Nikki & Scarlett then played the blame game as they followed.
Heidi Lovelace defeats Solo Darling @ 3:26 via pinfall after the Shining Wizard. The longest fall so far takes something out of both competitors as the competitive juices kick in knowing they were only 1 fall away from the champion. Gilbert also points out that it may be because they know each other better as having spent time in other areas as a tag team called The Buddy System in the past. No Buddy System here though as Lovelace eventually finished off Solo and sets herself up for another chance at the title that was stolen from her at last month's Saturday Night Special.
Jessie Belle defeats Heidi Lovelace @ 3:11 (12:24 total) via pinfall when Lovelace was attempting to suplex Belle in over the top rope from the apron, only to have the Wild Eyed Southern Boy himself Tracy Smothers yank on Lovelace's leg from a crouched position outside the referee's view, sending Belle crashing down on top. Belle retains the Women's Title in what Dean considers a travesty of justice. Tracy Smothers is a no good you know what as he helps "daddy's girl" keep the belt once more, while Titus is defensive and feels that Smothers has shown himself to be quite possibly the smartest man in wrestling in recent weeks here in Ohio Valley because as long as Belle stays champion, the money keeps coming in. Dean says yeah, so Smothers can sit back and continue doing nothing, what he's best at these days.
VS |
Rudy Switchblade defeats Jay Bradley @ 10:08 via pinfall. The final sequence sees Switchblade duck the Boomstick clothesline attempt, hit the ropes and leap over Bradley as he turns and ducks into a sunset flip. Bradley resists and reaches for the ropes to stay up. Finally corner man Mongo gets on the apron and grabs Bradley's arm, allowing Bradley to drop his knees down onto Switchblade's shoulders in a counter. The referee sees it all though and tells Mongo to get out of there as Bradley yells to count! The referees drops down as Switchblade gets his legs up and hooks them under the shoulders and brings Bradley back into the now modified sunset flip style position and gets a 3 count. Bradley is livid at this, feeling he had the match won. He first goes on to blame the referee, then his corner man Mongo! Switchblade is on the outside, just shrugging his shoulders as Bradley can't believe he has been pinned here tonight. Dean says that it serves him right for trying to cheat his way to a win, and then on top of that, blame the guy that tried to help him! Titus disagrees and if anybody lost here, it was Mongo, not Bradley.
King of The Valley Ladder match
Match #46 wrestlers go after the coveted title of being named "King of The Valley" here tonight in this ladder match. The winner is the man who climbs up and pulls down the briefcase containing a contract for a guaranteed shot at the Southern championship whenever they should choose. 5 of the wrestlers had to win qualifyers to get into the contest, each having a different role in Gilbert's eyes.
- The Pope Elijah Burke is the superstar. The biggest and most impressive resume of the lot, and a surprise entrant revealed only a week ago. He has been Southern champion before and wants to do it again. Last seen in the ring on the losing end of an Ironman match to Jamin Olivencia at the July 5 Saturday Night Special, the question becomes is there any ring rust that comes with the 3 months away?
- The Freak Rob Terry is the big man, the powerhouse. He has been Southern champion before, almost did it again recently against Marcus Anthony in a closely contested series of matches, and this contract all but ensures he would do it again.
- The Psychedelic Superstar Chris Silvio is the "next in line" to break through type. He has been TV champion, Tag Team champion, but the Southern championship has eluded him in Ohio Valley. He has the talent, he just needs the opportunity that the win here provides.
- Paredyse is the most unorthodox. Expect the unexpected from the flamboyant wrestler as there is no "expected" from him. Like Silvio, he has been TV champion, Tag Team champion, but never Southern champion. And as a further back story, Silvio & Paredyse were 1 time tag team partners as Totally Awesome back in the late 2000s. Could that factor into the match?
- Rockstar Ryan Howe is the rising star of the lot. Not quite there yet, he has shown the talent and skill that he could 1 day get there, and a win here could be the motivation needed to bring him to that next level of competitor.
- EFD Eddie Diamond is undeniably the under dog here, but he has proven himself in recent weeks, even pinning Rob Terry not once on TV, but twice in the last 2 broadcasts. It could even be argued that in the last month, he has the most momentum heading into the match of any of these 6 men. But it will take far more than just momentum to succeed here.
Once the bell sounds, the ring is chaos as the 6 men battle it out. Ladders are set up around ringside as the wrestlers will have to exit the ring, bring the ladder back in, and climb up to grab the briefcase with the contract for the win. Diamond extends a hand to Terry early. Terry looks to the crowd, nods his head, shakes the hand. Diamond likes it, but Terry doesn't let go and then shakes his head no and pulls Diamond into a clothesline. With nobody really to boo, the crowd turns on Terry fast here when he tells everybody in the crowd to shut up because the he is going to get what he deserves, the guaranteed shot here tonight. Meanwhile some action spills to the floor with Burke and Howe battling it out. That former partnership of Silvio & Paredyse comes into play as Paredyse runs the ropes and heads at Silvio, who back body drops Paredyse into a tope onto Burke & Howe. Silvio quickly shows his own motivation though as when Paredyse gets up, he dives through the ropes onto him to take him down. As Terry works over Diamond, perhaps payback for the 2 somewhat embarrassing defeats, Silvio is the first to get a ladder and slide it in.
Silvio picks up the ladder to set it up but as he is unfolding it, Terry kicks into him and knocks him out to the floor. Terry smiles and takes the ladder setting it up under the case. It is still early, but could Terry win it just like that? Not if EFD has anything to say about it! As Terry jests to the crowd, behind him Diamond races up the ladder and goes for the case. The crowd cheers and Terry turns around to grab Diamond in a panic before he can pull it down. After grabbing Diamond's leg to stop the momentum, he positions for a powerbomb. He walks Diamond out and towards the ropes to dump him to the floor, but instead Diamond holds onto the ropes and flips Terry out of the ring to the floor. Meanwhile on the inside Paredyse, Howe, and Burke are all at the ladder battling it out. Silvio on the floor gets ladder #2 and slides it in.
As the other 3 do battle, Silvio sets up the unfolded ladder on the top rope. He pushes the other end into the rungs on the setup ladder, creating a bridge from the apron to the ladder. He hops up and races over to the ladder and starts climbing, but Paredyse is on the other end. Both wrestlers are at the top as Burke & Howe now decide to work together. They kill the bridge and push on the standing ladder, sending both Silvio & Paredyse to be crotched on the top rope before eventually falling to the mat and then to the floor to recover. Diamond readies and both Burke & Howe turn into a big double clothesline. Before he can do anything though, Terry is in and has the unfolded ladder held up and smashes it into the face of EFD. Terry sets up the ladder. He starts climbing it somewhat awkwardly given his size before waving it off and shoving the ladder over. He heads out of the ring, lifts the ring apron and pulls out a larger reenforced ladder more fit to a man Terry's size. He places it on the mat to slide it in, but before he can ...
The Body Guy & The Body Guard are out! What is this all about?!? Well he said it on TV. Despite not being an official participant, he intends to climb the ladder and get the contract anyway. They get in, Body Guy scrambling to set up a ladder as his Body Guard keeps the other wrestlers away. Finally Body Guy says to forget about it and tells "Melvin" to do a makeshift plan instead. For a comedy spot, Body Guy gets on his Body Guard's shoulders and reaches for the case hopelessly. Coming nowhere near the case, finally they stop the mad scramble as they realize that all 6 wrestlers are standing around watching. Body Guy panics and gets down, trying to bargain with the wrestlers. They have none of it and each takes a turn giving a right to The Body Guy as he bounces like a pinball to each wrestler before ending up at Terry. He gorilla presses Body Guy up, throws him at The Body Guard, they both go over the top rope and so ends their night and attempt at stealing the contract.
With 3 ladders in the ring, brawling continues. Eventually a first ladder is setup as Howe starts a climb opposite Silvio. A second ladder gets setup next to it where EFD and Paredyse start a climb. Finally Terry has had enough and steps in between the 2 ladders pushing out with his arms to send them falling in opposite directions. EFD & Paredyse are taken out, as is Howe, but Silvio manages to land on the top rope. He quickly slingshots back at Terry with a huge Rocketpunch that sends the big man down. Silvio gets up and starts trading shots with The Pope. Burke holds off Silvio long enough to get a ladder and set it up. Burke starts a climb, but like a cat Silvio races up. The 2 are near the top brawling when Elijah grabs him and the 2 end up getting pulled off the ladder as Burke performs a modified Elijah Experience to send Silvio down into the mat, though the impact is enough to keep Burke down too. In fact, everybody is down! The Perfect opportunity for ...
The Pastor of Disaster! The Reverend Stuart Miles heads through the curtain taking his sweet @$$ time, and why not? Everybody's down. He said it on TV, like The Body Guy, he intends to climb that ladder regardless. Get closer to the heavenly kingdom, closer to becoming Southern champion. The Reverend takes a mic and greets all the sinners in Davis Arena. He tells everybody that he is performing his own brand of divine intervention tonight because he should be holding that briefcase, and he should be the next Southern champion. Dean wonders what the hell he's waiting for then since everybody's down. He steps up the first rung and says that is for lust. The second rung is for gluttony. The third is for pride. The fourth is for sloth. The fifth is for wrath. The sixth is for envy. The seventh, the top of the ladder, is for greed because the briefcase is all mine! As he reaches up to pull it off though, Paredyse grabs him. He manages to get Miles down a couple rungs and then pulls him off, leaping up with his knees into a codebreaker style back cracker. Miles is down as fans cheer, rolling to the floor and ending his involvement here.
As all the wrestlers brawl some more, 2 ladders end up set up. Between them a third folded ladder gets placed as a bridge around the fourth rung. Silvio goes a step further and sets up a table in the ring next to it. Howe and Paredyse are on the bridge, but Silvio gets hit from behind by Terry and placed onto the table. Terry then grabs Howe and pulls him off with a spinebuster to drop him to the mat. Paredyse gets to the top and reaches for the case, but the position of the ladders leaves him too far out of reach. Looking down, he sees Silvio sprawled on the table. Dean says no, he can't be thinking what it looks like he is. But he is! HOLY $#*&!!! Paredyse jumps from the top, driving Silvio through the table and leaving both men in a heap. Terry then shoves the folded ladder away, pushes 1 of the ladders over, and sets up the reenforced ladder directly under the briefcase. He starts climbing ...
But then so does Burke on the other side! They are at the top and here comes EFD! Burke and EFD on 1 side, Terry on the other. The Freak grabs both wrestlers by the head to butt them into each other and surely send them flying, but they instead grab Terry by the back of the head and slam him face first into the top of the ladder. Terry is dazed. They do it again and he drops off the ladder and then falls to the mat. Burke and EFD trade punches, both reaching for the case. EFD gets the better and gets both hands on it. The ultimate underdog has done it! He has secured it, now he just needs to unhook it to win the match. The Pope though has other ideas and after a few seconds of recovery, he reaches up and grabs the other end, smashing the briefcase into the face of EFD and sending him falling off the ladder and to the mat. Burke reaches up, he unhooks it with ease.
The 2014 King of The Valley, winner of a guaranteed Southern championship match is not EFD despite his best efforts. It's not Rob Terry. Not Ryan Howe, not Paredyse, and not Chris Silvio. The Pope Elijah Burke takes the win and the briefcase at a time of 18:54, returning to Ohio Valley after a 3 month layoff and immediately putting himself right back into the thick of things. He was close before he left having competed against both champion Marcus Anthony and Jamin Olivencia in a 3 way dance at the June Saturday Night Special, and now he will watch as those 2 battle it out later tonight 1 on 1 inside the Steel Cage. But does this guaranteed contract give Burke the ultimate advantage of opportunity. He could come back later tonight even, cash it in right there after what should be a brutal cage match, and walk out of Rage In The Cage as the unexpected new Southern champion with ease even, standing tall over both Anthony and Olivencia when he looked to be out of the picture entirely.
Mask vs TV Title match
Match #5VS |
Metal Master defeats TV champion Dylan Bostic @ 9:27 via pinfall after the Jackhammer to capture the TV Title. A hard fought match by both wrestlers that sees Metal Master not only avoid Bostic's intended humiliation of unmasking, but finish off a journey of becoming the new Ohio Valley TV champion. Things looked rough as the action would spill outside and Bostic would manage to distract the referee, allowing The Mexicutioner to interfere, lifting Master into a powerbomb type position and throw him into the ringpost. While the referee missed it, the D.O.A., Director of Authority TPT Frank Miller did not! Trailer Park Trash was out and told The Mexicutioner he was now barred from ringside. Mexicutioner resisted and even threw a punch at the D.O.A. He blocked it though and fired back a right hand of his own to a big pop that sent The Mexicutioner down. This is why TPT is in charge because he can be the physical presence that Danny Davis can't! Bostic was briefly able to control the match, but ultimately failed in his quest to put away the Master. The closest spot came with a mockery as Bostic performed the Jackhammer himself and cockily covered Master, but he got his shoulder up just before 3. Arrogance costs the Justin Bieber of Professional Wrestling as the masked wrestler made a comeback and took away Bostic's championship, ending his 98 day reign.
... and with that, THE STEEL CAGE IS SETUP!
Complete with a ringside comedy segment to kill some of the time since it requires an actual old school build vs the type that gets lowered from above. From the back comes The Starmaker Kenny Bolin on his scooter while the ring crew gets to stepping. Still looking like Jabba The Hut with a black toupee, Bolin takes his time getting up as Dean Hill asks him what in the wide world of sports is he doing here? Bolin tells Dean to can it before he takes his job and sends him back to the front lines where he belongs. As a couple staff workers bring out a cake, he says that he is here because just like he got the inside scoop of which team Cliff Compton was going to choose for the War Games, he has another inside scoop right now. That is while Danny Davis and Doug Basham want to fight over money and control, he has enough money to buy the whole damn state, let alone Ohio Valley, and he certainly has the control because nobody would even be here tonight if not for him! That's right, The Starmaker, the head of Bolin $ervices, he is the reason everybody is here. He is the foundation of Ohio Valley and without him, this place would be nothing! And that's why he has brought a cake to celebrate tonight's momentous occasion. Dean asks if Bolin intends to eat the whole thing himself, as Bolin barks back that he just might because at this rate, he damn sure ain't sharing it with him or the fans! For some reason the fans start cheering that as Bolin gets justification saying yeah, that's right, but unknown to him ... no? ... YES! ... Dean Hill gives an "oh my Lord" because behind them from the back has stepped ...
JIM CORNETTE!!! The fans give their loudest pop of the night so far as 1 of the key figures in the storied history of Ohio Valley is back at the Davis Arena. Cornette shakes hands with Dean and thanks him and the fans before of chant of "Cornette, Cornette" interrupts him and he stops to acknowledge it for a brief moment. Cornette tells Bolin that he was in the back, wasn't planning on coming out, but when he heard the regurgitation spewing out from Bolin's mouth, he wanted to come out here and put a stop to it and he just hopes that it doesn't start coming out of where it should because it was nothing but a steaming pile of crap in the first place. Ohio Valley has existed, will continue to exist, with or without his services. This is not the Kenny Bolin show, it never has been. It's not about him, but about all the great fans of Kentuckiana, and many more around the world watching through iPPV. Bolin answers back that Cornette isn't about these fans because he abandoned these fans. Unlike Cornette, he is still here and giving back with exclusives like last week's Saturday Night Special and which team Cliff Compton would choose for tonight. He represents all these fans, he represents Ohio Valley, and if Cornette doesn't like it, do something about it. Cornette tells Bolin that while he might be the weight equivalent to all the fans here tonight, maybe even all of Ohio Valley, that doesn't constitute representation. While he may only be here for 1 night as a guest, unpaid by the way as he points out tongue in cheek to quickly plugs his book "Rags, Paper & Pins - The Merchandising of Memphis Wrestling" so that maybe he might get a sale or 2 to justify the time. Bolin says that he has read the book and while it was alright, the best part was left out - him! Cornette says that Bolin is right in there, a couple blank pages at the start. Bolin gets hot and tells Cornette that he never liked him and he should go back to California with all the other movie star freeks and director weirdos, right where he belongs. He has a good laugh at his own comment as unknown to him in the background, Cornette picks up the cake. He asks Bolin if he wants a piece of the cake. Bolin turns and ends up taking it right in the face. The fans pop big as Bolin falls, can't get up as he keeps slipping. Just makes a complete mess of himself. Cornette waves and the fans and shakes hands with Dean again before a cut away to a video package for the next match (thanks to Sam and CPW for providing Cornette for the night.)
War Games match
Match #6The fate of Ohio Valley rests on the outcome of this match. Having returned a little over 2 months ago, Doug Basham turned his back on Nick Dinsmore & Rob Conway while cornering them at the August Saturday Night Special. What followed was silence until Danny Davis called out Basham at the September Saturday Night Special. Basham gave little by way of explanation to Davis, instead apologizing and pretending to have seen the error in his ways. What followed was Basham giving Davis the dreaded X Tornado, and revealing he had been bankrolling Shiloh Jonze, The French Stallion, and Fabiano Rolento, creating the instability needed for a hostile takeover. The group now known as The Blacklist looked to take over in anarchy, but the Director of Authority Trailer Park Trash instead gave an offer. 5 on 5 War Games, if Basham's Blacklist team win, he takes over as D.O.A. and Basham has vowed to fire not only TPT, but all of Team OVW. If TPT wins though, Basham is gone and The Blacklist must disband.
As that was going on, another story emerged involving Mr. Media Cliff Compton. Feeling he was being poorly used by Ohio Valley and deserved better opportunities, he lashed out at Danny Davis and TPT. Things reached a head at the September Saturday Night Special when Compton deemed his opponent beneath him and walked out on the match. Basham then offered Compton the chance they never gave him should he join as The Blacklist's 5th member, but TPT countered with the offer to join Team OVW. Compton became the much sought after 5th man for both teams until last weekend. Compton opted to stand up for what brought him to the dance because while Basham felt he was never the star he could have been, Compton himself has had and will continue to have opportunities with or without Basham's help. Team OVW it was, leaving Basham in need of a 5th, but he had a plan. Compton was Plan A, but Plan B proved just as effective when a masked man hit Compton from behind with a steel chair. A mysterious unknown turncoat, with Basham even teasing it could be somebody from Team OVW under the mask, or even TPT. Problems played out on TV in a match for the man advantage when Compton was caught with a chair for the DQ on Conway. Conway accused Compton of being a traitor, Compton accused 1 of them of being under the mask, and Team OVW enters this match in potential shambles against a seemingly united Blacklist team.
The match gets started with a good 5 minute exchange between 2 wrestlers that spent the better part of 5 months battling over the Southern Tag Team Title in 1 form or another. These 2 know each other in the ring and well. And just so there is no confusion as this is not on the WCW budget, this cage is obviously surrounding 1 ring and not 2, and has no roof but is high up there. The cage plays little factor until Shiloh goes to slam Vaez head first. He gets his hands up though to block it and instead ends up not only slamming Shiloh's head into the mesh, but Vaez repeats it, giving Shiloh the tour of Davis Arena, slamming him head first into the remaining 3 sides of the ring for good measure. Vaez has some words with Basham, standing at ringside as the captain of his team, during which Shiloh starts climbing up the cage to escape! Dean calls him a coward and this shows it, but Vaez gets over to him and grabs his leg to pull him down, crotching him on the top rope so he can hit those soprano highs in the shower later tonight. The countdown starts and reaches 0 ...
1 of the more arrogant wrestlers in Ohio Valley, The Stallion has some words for Danny Davis before entering the cage, but he is greeted at the door by Vaez. Stallion starts to get the better, eventually being joined by Jonze. The former Tag Team champions are in full control to start the match as they get a dominant 2 on 1 advantage for 2 minutes here. Basham kept yelling for them to finish him now, as Davis looked a bit worried on a close up shot. Dean points out that if they take out Vaez now, they would get another 2 on 1 advantage shortly, and then a third man to join them, and the match could be over before it even begins.
The 1 legged Iraqi war vet is out next to a big pop as Davis nods his approval. Limping out with the prosthetic leg in place, Hayes enters the ring. Shiloh comes at him but gets a right hand. Stallion comes, but he gets a right hand for his troubles too. Hayes starts to regain some semblance of balance to this match. Vaez is up and together, they take out Stallion with a double clothesline. Shiloh then takes a double back body drop for his efforts. The clock winds down after 2 minutes, fortunately for Team OVW with things at a good place because the advantage is going back to The Blacklist.
The hitman of Ohio Valley! The man who took out Hayes with a pipe to his good leg and put him on the shelf for over 4 months, and clearly Hayes has not forgot it as he goes right at Rolento. While it looks good for Hayes, it proves costly as Shiloh gets away to grab Vaez's leg. Vaez tries kicking him away, but just leaves himself distracted to a charging Stallion with The French Connection, a running big boot to the head. Hayes ends up mounting Rolento unaware of what happened, but just leaves himself open to much of the same as Stallion hits him in the side of the head with the move. And just like that, The Blacklist has 3 men standing, Team OVW has none. The 2 minutes are up and this could get rough.
Business has just picked up! Ironman by Black Sabbath takes over the Davis Arena as out steps Conway to a big pop. It is basically a 3 on 1 right now but if anybody can take that, it would be Conway. He enters and immediately gets charged at by the 3. 1 at a time, they take a right, but quickly the numbers prove too much. Jonze & Stallion hold Conway as Rolento charges, but Conway gets a boot up and kicks him. He then butts the heads of the other 2 together. Vaez & Hayes are up and suddenly the advantage is turning to Team OVW. Conway has Rolento, Hayes has Jonze, Vaez has Stallion. The clocks strikes 0 though as another member of The Blacklist gets set to enter.
And this time it's the captain. Basham himself enters and he immediately pulls out a pair of brass knux! Shot for Conway to the back of the head. Hayes takes 1 to the jaw. Vaez comes out but ends up taking 1 as well. Basham laughs before putting the knux back into his tights. Basham brings Conway over to the mesh and runs his face back and forth right in front of Davis on the other side. Conway gets the crimson mask going as Basham lays the boots in before hitting him with the X Tornado, his super spinning single arm DDT. He goes a step further and orders the prosthetic leg of Hayes to be removed. Vaez gets in and fights it, while there is a 3 on 2 there. The clock winds down though.
Mr. Wrestling races out and quickly gets into the cage, going right after Jonze, Stallion & Rolento to help out his 1 time student Hayes. The fans are going wild as Nick Dinsmore is cleaning house! Hayes manages to get back up to his feet, or foot, and goes after Rolento, while Vaez battles it out with Stallion. Dinsmore has Basham in his sights and the captain is begging off right now. He even extends a hand to Dinsmore, but it is all just stall tactics as Jonze hits Dinsmore from behind. Conway is still down from the beating he took letting them go for the 2 on 1 attack with Dinsmore. Jonze holds Dinsmore while Basham backs up and charges with a right hand, but Dinsmore moves! Basham decks his own man and turns into a right hand from Dinsmore. Now Basham's gonna get it. Dean lets out on commentary that paybacks are a bitch!
Except time expires! And out he comes. Who is it? Who knows! Dean calls him a gutless S.O.B. as the masked man gets into the cage, too much of a coward to show his face. Dinsmore has Basham where he wants him, but The Masked Man gets from behind with a headbutt. Over to Vaez, headbutt for him. Over to Hayes, another headbutt. The commentators speculate that the mask is loaded with something. Conway gets up and gets fired in for a double clothesline from Jonze & Stallion. Basham starts to play drill sergeant as they have a commanding 5 on 4 advantage as the match and time is winding down, the boots going to everybody. Basham readies his men for the 5th man. They all take their positions and if they can kill the momentum before it even happens, they will have this match won and control of Ohio Valley. The 2 minutes are up, no surprises here ...
Nobody's coming out. What is this? Nobody's here. Titus says Cliff Compton has stabbed Ohio Valley in the back, he's probably under that mask in there right now. Basham's team wins. But no! About 15 seconds after the buzzer, the familiar beats of "Hold Tight" by Dave Dee take over Davis Arena. Here he comes! Mr. Media Cliff Compton steps through the curtain and heads right for the door as fans cheer. Compton gets into the cage at the 21 minute mark as the 5 wrestlers are ready. Titus throws out that he could still be with Team Basham, but that gets answered when Jonze charges in to take a right hand. Stallion follows. It becomes clear fast that Compton is definitely against them! Compton knocks down The Blacklist members 1 by 1 as Rolento heads in. Basham steps up, but Compton blocks him and hits back. The Masked Man and Compton remain the only 2 standing at this point. 5 on 5 turns into 1 on 1 for a moment in time as Compton motions to take the mask off. He wants to see it, Davis wants to see it. Hell, everybody wants to see it! They start trading fists, Compton gets the upper hand. He gets The Masked Man prone and goes for the mask. WHO IS IT?!?
Before he can do anything, Basham dives at the back of the leg with a shoulder to the back of Compton's knee. With the fights breaking out around the cage again, Basham's had enough. It is surrender time as everybody's in and he wants control of Ohio Valley. Basham tells the Masked Man to keep tabs and the rest in check, but that's not what Basham wants. He wants Davis! He wants Davis to get in the cage himself! If anybody's going to surrender control of Ohio Valley, Basham wants it to be Davis. He heads to the door and demands it be opened. Referee Chris Sharpe just throws up his hands, it's been padlocked shut and only TPT has the key. Basham demands TPT open it and Davis get in. TPT refuses.
Team Basham tries to get a verbal submission from the next best thing, Dinsmore. Basham holds his head to the cage and grates it looking for that submission, right in front of Davis for added insult. Nothing. Next the focus turns to Hayes but nothing there too. Dean says he's fought through hell and back in Iraq, he lost a leg dammit!, he can certainly withstand quitting before Team Basham here. The focus then turns to Hayes' good leg and getting Vaez to quit at the possiblity of what they might do to it. Compton is up though and starts cleaning house again. First Rolento goes down, then Shiloh. Vaez fights off with Stallion. Conway gets up and and turns Basham into some big right hooks. Compton and Conway end up back to back. Compton wrenches back for a right on The Masked Man, but ends up elbowing Conway in the back of the head in the process. Basham grabs Conway and throws him into the cage.
Basham then grabs Compton from behind as The Masked Man readies. He goes for a headbutt, but Compton kicks him. He then butts his head into Basham! Basham goes down to a big pop! He kicks the masked man again and drags him to Shiloh, butts their heads and Shiloh goes down. Compton is using the foreign object in the mask to his own advantage right now. Stallion takes a shot, and finally Compton gets to Rolento, but sensing he is the weakest, Davis shouts to finish him! Compton sends the masked man into the cage face first and then locks in a camel clutch on Rolento. Vaez & Hayes are up and ready to fight off anybody that gets in his way. Dinsmore is up by the ropes while Conway is still down, but it doesn't matter. All 4 remaining members are down on The Blacklist. Compton wrenches back and Rolento finally quits at 28:35!
Fighting the unknown, Team OVW wins! TPT not only retains his job as Director of Authority, but Basham is gone! The Blacklist is history as they must disband! TPT opens the cage door as he and Davis and head in to celebrate with his men. During this moment, the mysterious masked man gets out of the cage and manages to escape. A cowardly move by a cowardly man according to Dean as he does not want to face the music, whoever the hell that was. We may never know now. Basham can't believe it. His team cheated themselves seemingly had this won, but ultimately came up short. They still lost. Basham orders Shiloh, Stallion & Rolento to fight as they stand up, but screw it. The war is over. 1 by 1, they just leave to a pop as Basham gets more and more pissed off at each successive abandonment. Stallion first, Shiloh second, and finally Rolento. Basham is left alone with TPT, Davis, Compton, Vaez, Hayes, there is Dinsmore and Conway standing right behind him!
Basham realizes this and turns, immediately entering apology mode. Dinsmore will have none of it though, and Basham drops to his knees. He puts 1 hand behind his back and extends the other. What a God damn coward Dean exclaims! Now that he has failed, he back tracks. You can't back track on stabbing somebody in the back though. What's done is done! Dinsmore shockingly nods though. Conway is in agreement. Basham looks relieved as he stands and just pats them on the shoulder, thanking them for having mercy. Basham turns to Dinsmore and Conway grabs at the tights, giving Basham a wedge to send him into next year 3 months early. Dinsmore grabs the head and takes him out with a Jumping cutter. Basham is down. The threat is gone. Team OVW stands tall!
There is still a big question that unfortunately remains. Basham might be finished, but somebody donned that mask and somebody turned their back on Ohio Valley, on the fans, on everybody. It could be somebody in that locker room now, it could be somebody from 10 years ago, it could be somebody brand new, it could be 1 of Basham's old running buddies in The Revolution, they have no idea. Gilbert points out that we may never find out who that was now, but Dean says that he spent 25 years with Louisville PD, he knows a thing or 2 about interrogation and justice, and in the end, law and order always prevails and justice will be served! He can hide his face, but he can't hide his actions and sooner or later, he will be revealed. Strong words from the longtime voice of Ohio Valley.
Southern Heavyweight Title match
Match #7VS |
With the fate of Ohio Valley decided, it is time to decide the fate of the Southern championship. Marcus Anthony has turned back every challenge thrown his way for months on end, but 1 could argue that a big part of that was the presence of manager Timmy Danger on the outside. In fact the challenger tonight Jamin Olivencia has had a couple opportunities, both ruined. The first at the April Saturday Night Special saw Anthony take the match after hitting the Gamma Punch, but also thanks to outside interference. The Steel Cage however should make that an impossibility. Dean explains that we just saw in the War Games that padlock go up by TPT, and that will be on the cage door for the entire match. His second chance at the June Saturday Night Special ended another way, and unfortunately that factor has not been entirely eliminated as a possibility thanks to the crafty handwork of Danger in the contract for the match.
Referee Josh Ashcraft made a fast count to help Anthony retain in a 3 way dance. Danny Davis then suspended Ashcraft for 30 days, returning in mid July. To his credit, he has done a pretty consistent job. A hiccup on TV saw Ashcraft DQ Rob Conway against French Stallion to give The Blacklist the man advantage when Cliff Compton was seen by him holding a chair he had taken away from Stallion and never use. This has to create some doubt when Timmy Danger put a clause into the contract that he choose the referee or there would be no match, and then he chose Ashcraft. Is Ashcraft on the take? Could tonight be the big reveal of that with a screw job on Olivencia once and for all?, especially since it is also in the contract that Jamin never gets another shot as long as Anthony remains champion. A lot on the table here.
Add to all that the earlier King of The Valley win by The Pope Elijah Burke, who could cash in his guaranteed shot at the Southern Title tonight if he so chooses. He has a deep history with Jamin Olivencia and we know that Marcus Anthony is entering this match with a lingering hand injury suffered back on August 2 at the Saturday Night Special. Anthony had 30 days of rest before the rematch with Rob Terry on September 6, but the injury required 6 weeks to fully heal. Did it fully heal?, and if it did, did it heal properly? Is Anthony going in at 100%? Does that even matter?, as Anthony claims even him at 50% is still greater than Olivencia's 100%. We are about to find out.
The challenger Jamin Olivencia is out first, entering the cage as his music plays. He is psyched up and ready to go, looking ready to unload. He shares some words with referee Josh Ashcraft as the music plays and the beast is unleashed. Timmy Danger steps out, followed by the Southern champion Marcus Anthony. Anthony enters and TPT from the outside shuts the door, locks it, and that is it. No in, no out. Not until the bell rings and there is a winner via pinfall or submission and 1 man alone stands as the Southern champion. Olivencia, Anthony, and Ashcraft, with TPT and Danger close by separated by the chain link fence and metal bars holding it together. Dean Hill from the desk stands and takes the house mic and readies for the introductions.
Dean Hill: Ladies and gentlemen, this is your main event of the evening. It is a Steel Cage match, scheduled for 1 fall and it is for the Ohio Valley Southern Heavyweight championship. Introducing first, hailing from Buffalo, New York, now residing in Louisville, Kentucky, he is a former Southern champion, he is the challenger, he is Jamin Olivencia! And his opponent, hailing from Cincinnati, Ohio, accompanied by his manager Timmy Danger, he is the reigning and defending Ohio Valley Southern heavyweight champion, Marcus Anthony! Josh Ashcraft is your referee.
The bell rings and Olivencia jumps at Anthony with rights and backs them into the corner. Ashcraft tries getting him back, only getting ignored by Olivencia. Anthony reverses them and fires in some shots, but the challenger is too psyched to back down. Anthony drops and drives a shoulder to the midsection to get the pace slowed. A second and Anthony grabs Olivencia to walk him out to the middle of the ring. He lifts him up into a bodyslam, but Olivencia manages to get out and instead drop back behind. Anthony turns and charges, Olivencia ducks. Anthony turns and takes a stiff kick to the leg. Another stiff kick, but the third is caught by Anthony as he raises a leg and uses his boot to shove the challenger down. Olivencia slithers back to the corner as Anthony charges in, but he moves. Anthony hits hard and takes a schoolboy from behind by Olivencia, taking an early 2 count for the first pin attempt of the match. As they get up, Anthony again charges, but Olivencia ducks again. Anthony turns and gets a leaping Olivencia into the O Drop! Anthony however counters and shoves Olivencia off. As the challenger lands and gets his footing, no time because Anthony charges in with a huge shoulderblock.
Anthony grabs Olivencia up off the mat, lifts into a bodyslam position. Instead of a slam though, he holds him there and goes to run him into the cage. Olivencia gets his hands up though and blocks it. He locks his hands into the mesh as Anthony tries to push him in, but no go here. Olivencia knees him in the head to break free and Anthony falls back. After recovering, Anthony turns back to the challenger to see Olivencia having positioned himself in the middle of the top rope. He leaps off with a big clothesline and the champion goes down. Olivencia rolls back on top and mounts Anthony, laying in with forearms and hard right hands. A ground and pound in effect before Ashcraft gets Olivencia off. The challenger questions that briefly, but as Anthony gets up, he steps in and pushes him into the ropes to send him across. Anthony however reverses Olivencia and sends him bouncing off while he drops his head for a back body drop, but Olivencia catches it and is able to instead kick Anthony in the face. Anthony reels back and then charges into an armdrag take over. He gets up and charges as Olivencia tries again, but this time Anthony holds his ground. He takes his other hand and grabs Olivencia to bring him up by the back of the tights, free his other arm, and then hammer Olivencia down with a clothesline. Anthony covers for the win, but only gets a 2 count. The champion is however in firm control here.
With that, Anthony has some words for Ashcraft himself. The referee backs up as Olivencia gets up in the corner. Danger from the floor alerts Anthony and he turns in time to charge in and catch his opponent with a big forearm to the chest. Anthony grabs the head of Olivencia for a snapmare, but instead wrenches on the neck with a chinlock. If anybody can get a submission from a simple move like this, it's the power of Marcus Anthony. Olivencia fires off rights to set himself free, but Anthony just wrenches again. An elbow and another, and finally Olivencia frees himself as Anthony holds his gut in the corner. The challenger backs up and charges in, but Anthony moves and Olivencia hits hard, going down again in the process. Anthony brings the challenger back to his feet and lands some rights before picking up Olivencia and charging him head first into the cage, no blocking it this time. He goes in hard and drops to the mat like a bag of bricks. Danger tells him to do it again! Anthony obliges, picking up Olivencia and charging him head first into the steel cage a second time. As he goes down, Anthony covers ...

... NO!
Olivencia manages to get a shoulder up. Barely. Anthony stalks the ring as Danger yells "you got this!" from the floor. Olivencia crawls to the ropes to get up as Anthony grabs him and scoops into the dreaded fireman's carry. What is next? Anthony lifts Olivencia up and just drops him to the mat. The toll being taken on the challenger has got to be immense right now. Anthony goes over and grabs Olivencia, taking his time right now as, well, he can! He lifts Jamin into the same position and does it again! Olivencia is being dominated right now. Absolutely dominated. The challenger gets to his hands and knees as Anthony takes his place behind. He looks to be almost foaming at the mouth with anticipation, readying his hands. Could it be? Olivencia gets up and Anthony steps in, going for the Crimson Omen, the full nelson. Olivencia fights though before Anthony can lock his hands. He manages to free himself and reverses behind the champion. Anthony turns and charges as Olivencia ducks, leaps up and as both men turn, Olivencia hits a clothesline that drops the champion down. Anthony gets up in the corner as Olivencia charges in with a running knee to the face. Anthony again falls and Olivencia heads up to the top rope. Anthony rises as Danger yells for him not to turn around, but he does so anyway and eats a flying knee to the face. Olivencia covers, but only gets a 2 as Anthony not only kicks out, but throws Jamin into the air in the process.
As they get up, Anthony is again in the corner with Olivencia charging in for a running knee, but this time the champ instead catches the challenger with a hard low blow as he drives his forearm up with near perfect timing. Olivencia drops back as yes, there are no DQs in this, so it is in fact perfectly legal. And Dean notes that with Ashcraft in there, who the hell knows anyway. Anthony shakes off whatever damage Olivencia just inflicted and grabs him. He sets up for a suplex, but Olivencia blocks it. Anthony remedies that by kneeing him a couple times to the gut. He tries again, but as Olivencia goes upright, rather than go back, he heads back down, locking his legs into a bodyscissors and driving Anthony into the mat head first with a DDT. The O Drop connects! Anthony is down! He is out! Olivencia turns over and covers ...

... 3!
Anthony lifts a shoulder up just barely. In fact, disputedly as Dean thinks that was a 3. Titus says no, 2 and 9/10ths. Gilbert mentions this could be the Ashcraft factor. So close, under any other referee, would that have been ruled a 3? Olivencia is too tired to dispute it, but TPT asks Ashcraft from outside the cage. He just says it was a 2 and it was so close, hard to say 1 way or another what the deal was. Olivencia gets up first as Anthony gets up by the ropes. Olivencia goes over and brings the champion out, this time lifting him into a fireman's carry himself! The effort that must be taking as Olivencia falls back with a Samoan drop. He covers again, but a definite 2 this time as Anthony kicks out. Olivencia gets up and grabs the arm of Anthony. He twists it around with a wristlock, holding on for a short arm clothesline, but Anthony ducks, holds on, and reverses it into the Crimson Omen! The full nelson is locked in! It's locked in and there is no way out of this! Anthony jerks Olivencia around like a rag doll, looking for that submission, or more likely just passing out. In the process though, Olivencia's legs hit Ashcraft and send him down! Anthony leaves the hold on a few seconds later before letting go, realizing he can't win with no referee, if he would have even got the submission. Anthony goes to Ashcraft while Danger yells for the Gamma Punch. Forget about Ashcraft, who cares! Finish Jamin! Anthony takes the advice and turns to ready himself as Olivencia is getting up. Olivencia is on wobbly legs as he gets up with the aid of the ropes, turns into a charging Anthony and the deadly move, but he ducks and Anthony connects with a metal pole in the middle of the cage fencing with his bad hand! This is bad as Anthony clutches the hand. Olivencia charges across and races back, running knee to take out Anthony. He heads to the top rope and with the champ prone, hits a 180 degree turning splash and covers, hooking the leg. Ashcraft crawls over, taking forever ...

... NO!
A noticeably slower count by Ashcraft, but again, Gilbert plays devil's advocate, he was just knocked down. That may mean nothing. Dean counters or it could mean he's on the take! Get Chris Sharpe in there! Titus says you can't, TPT has the cage locked! Then unlock it dammit! Dean is sick and tired of Ashcraft and if he is or is not on the take. Olivencia gets up and lifts Anthony into a standing position. He then jumps up into the bodyscissors, but Anthony shoves him off. Olivencia's mometum takes him into the ropes where he comes back with a hard forearm shot. He backs up and hits the ropes again, coming back for another. Third time is the charm as Olivencia turns and runs towards the ropes, but Anthony is right behind him and Jamin turns right into the Gamma Punch! Olivencia falls face down onto the mat and he looks out of it. Anthony himself though is not exactly a bastion of energy as he takes a knee while Danger yells to cover. Just turn him and cover! Anthony shakes off any effects, rolls Jamin over and hooks the leg as he covers ...

Ashcraft signals for the bell, Anthony wins! Anthony retains! Not so fast though. TPT points out Olivencia's foot on the ropes at the last second. He tells the timekeeper not to ring that bell, this match ain't over yet. Ashcraft says he didn't see it until now, for all he knows it was after the bell and the argument with TPT at ringside ensues. It wasn't a 3 though, foot was on the ropes, end of story Dean says. Meanwhile behind Ashcraft and TPT, Danger is trying to hand Anthony a chain through the fencing. Take it! Anthony is clutching his hand, seemingly having reinjured it tonight, but he just waves that foreign object off. He wants nothing to do with that. Danger is insistent though. Anthony turns and takes the chain finally, but instead of using it, throws it aside! TPT goes over to Danger and tells him to step away from the cage now. Anthony readies as Jamin gets up, despite his bad hand. He could be risking permanent injury if he uses the Gamma Punch again. Anthony does decide against it and instead walks up, grabbing Olivencia into a belly to belly suplex position. Anthony lifts Olivencia for a throw over, but as he does so, the legs wrap around into a bodyscissors as the arm goes behind the head and the 2 turn with Olivencia instead dropping Anthony to the mat with the O Drop into an immediate cover. Ashcraft goes down to count ...

He finally does so and that's it! Jamin Olivencia has done what no man has been able to do. The reign of Marcus Anthony is over and there is a new Ohio Valley Southern champion. Davis Arena is going insane. The time of the match is 23:47. The length of Anthony's reign as champion, an almost incredible 280 days, the longest individual reign ever seen of the title. The cage door opens as TPT has the championship belt and is ready to enter to hand the belt to the new champion, but no. Instead Jamin takes the belt as he exits the door, and he is going to the people! Jamin heads to the crowd, celebrating with the fans. Meanwhile Timmy Danger can't believe the ride is over as he watches Jamin, disgusted. Dean says good, pleased to see Danger in a low place. Have to give all the credit in the world to Anthony though as he had the chance to take shortcuts in that match, but this was about proving something to himself as much as just winning the match. Rest assured though, he will fight another day. Anthony gets to his knees, realizing he has lost. Olivencia takes note of this and heads back to the cage. TPT is at the door, telling Jamin not to get in there, but he ignores the advice. Jamin goes by TPT and this is not finished, not yet.
Jamin has the belt over his shoulder as Anthony stands and holds his hand in pain. Jamin tells him to end this right now, Anthony may not have won the match, but he won his respect. Olivencia holds out a hand and tells Anthony to shake it, but the former champion just looks at him. Danger says not to do it! Anthony is in noticeable pain as he walks to the door by the ropes. Olivencia keeps the hand extended as Anthony stops and turns back. He looks at Olivencia, but just smiles. Almost sadisticly. Anthony leaves the cage, holding his hand, there won't be a handshake. This isn't over yet apparently. Danger says that's right! No handshake, Jamin got lucky tonight but he won't be so lucky next time! Anthony heads to the back, followed by Danger, leaving Olivencia alone in the ring. Gilbert wonders if Anthony could have shaked the hand even if he had wanted to given the condition his is in, while Titus calls it a cheap ploy by the new champion to crush the hand and eliminate Anthony. Olivencia in the ring just shrugs his shoulders, whatever, and heads to the ropes. He climbs up and raises the belt for the fans again, but music hits ...
... The Pope Elijah Burke! Is he here to cash in? He won King of The Valley earlier tonight, guaranteed shot at that title whenever he chooses! No, the music isn't Burke's ...
... IT'S CM PUNK!!! HOLY $#*@!!! "Cult of Personality" by Living Color plays over the Davis Arena as shock takes over. What in God's name is he doing here?!? Jamin is in shock like everybody else as Punk heads into the cage. This is gigantic as the commentators wonder what Punk's agenda is. He has been in Ohio Valley years upon years ago before the days of super stardom took over. Olivencia looks at him with the title held by his side as Punk applauds. He extends a hand himself to Jamin. Apparently Punk enjoyed that match as much as the next. The fans cheer as Olivencia looks out to them for their opinion on what to do next. Punk just says he wants to say nice work, that's all he's here for. Olivencia, appreciating the gesture, reaches his own hand out and back. The 2 hands meet and there it is! This win puts Olivencia as among the best wrestlers in the history of Ohio Valley, if not the best, and a handshake from Punk of all people cements the night as maybe the high point of his career.
... OR IS IT?
... GO TO SLEEP! Before releasing the handshake, Punk pulls Olivencia in and lifts him onto his shoulders. He sends him face first into the knee and looks down at the fallen competitor. Jamin Olivencia regains the Southern championship on this night, but as CM Punk stands there, looking down on him, you have to know that all the talk is going to be about this. Punk looks to the mixed crowd, some booing, some cheering, some in shocked silence, and starts laughing as the commentators again just have to wonder what his deal is here tonight. Why has CM Punk come out here tonight and laid out Jamin Olivencia with the GTS? But that answer will come another time because it won't be tonight. Gilbert thanks the fans for ordering Ohio Valley's debut iPPV offering, Rage In The Cage, and what a night! The Metal Master takes the TV Title from Dylan Bostic. The Pope Elijah Burke is the King of The Valley, now having a guaranteed shot at the Southern Title whenever he wishes. Cliff Compton leads Team OVW to a win in the War Games. Jamin Olivencia captures the Southern Title from Marcus Anthony in what was an incredible match. And as he stands over the champion, CM Punk makes a shocking return to Ohio Valley. For Dean Hill, for Michael Titus, Gilbert Corsey says so long until the next time.
