"Windy City On Tour" #34 Davenport, Iowa (06/11/14)
~Windy City kicked off their November "Quincy, Illinois Tri State Area" tour with a show in Davenport, Iowa. The tour will comprise of 5 stops, with the tour focusing on western Illinois, northeastern Missouri, and southeastern Iowa.
As always each live Windy City on Tour event is taped for TV, but only select matches (marked in blue font) will have highlights shown on the local Syndicated TV wrap-up show "Windy City On Tour".
1. Mistico def. Jake Crist with a Hurricanrana driver as he warmed up for his Heavyweight Title tournament match against Mark Jindrak
2. Solomon Crowe def. Crash Test Dummy with a Headlock Driver in a match that was purely booked to showcase the debuting Solomon Crowe, who kicked off his Windy City career with an easy win over everybodies favorite jobber.
3. Jimmy Jacobs def. Rockstar Spud with a Spear in a five minute match. Jacobs came down to the ring walking behind Wyatt Family members Luke Harper and Bray Wyatt and proceeded to be directed in this matchup literally move by move by Bray and did everything the Wyatt Family leader instructed him obediently. Of note is that prior to this match starting the Wyatt Family passed Solomon Crowe after he exited the ring following his win and Harper shoulder barged Crowe out of the way, with Crowe glaring at Harper as he left.
4. April Davids, Tarryn Terell & LuFisto def. Paige, Velvet Sky & Cheerleader Melissa when Davids made Sky submit to an STF. The former womens champ gains some manner of revenge over Paige.
5. Jeffery Flockhart w/Dick Ryder & Jimmy Hart def. Jey Uso w/Jimmy Uso with The Groin Claw submission hold in a match in which Dick Ryder, nor Jimmy Hart did absolutely anything or make any moves to assist Flockhart at all. Flockhart took a beating early on from The Usos but managed to somehow pull this one out of the bag as he latched on his most painful move and Jey had no option but to quickly tap.
6. Heavyweight Title Tournament 1st Round Match Adrian Neville def. "Strongman" Jon Anderson with the Red Arrow (Corkscrew SSP) in a classic smaller faster, verses bigger bulkier matchup against former Heavyweight Champion Anderson in somewhat of a shock result against the run of play after the "Strongman" had dominated but made a mistake rushing into a turnbuckle perhaps showing some ring rust which allowed Neville to capitalize and progress with a big win!
7. Heavyweight Title Tournament 1st Round Match KENTA def. Bully Ray by GTS in what was a very stiff, hard-hitting bout. An interference from JOHN CENA coming out of the crowd in street attire saw him hit one of the pre tourney favourites Bully Ray with a steel chair with a chain wrapped around it, right smack on the forehead on the outside as the ref was facing KENTA. Cena tossed Ray back into the ring and lept back into the crowd which allowed KENTA to follow up with the GTS for the win as Cena gets revenge for Ray spoiling his NWA North American Title celebration at Fall Brawl!

Solid, short card here, and I liked the dynamics of both televised match ups. I think the sleeper best match of the show was probably Mistico/Crist, though, as I could see those two having a good contest. KENTA and Ray would probably beat the crap out of each other, though, which would be fun, and Cena gets some dynamic there by exacting revenge. I'm liking him as champion so far.

"Windy City On Tour" #35 Rock Island, Illinois (10/11/14)
The show kicked off with "Big Bad" Dave Mastiff already in the ring, and his opponent Marion Fontaine enters the ring to the sound of "Christoph Willibald Gluck - Orphee et Eurydice" walking to the ring very over proudly.
Stepping through the ropes, Fontaine politely asks So Cal Val for the microphone, and thanks her with a little courtsey when she hands it to him.
Fontaine waves his hand around in the air, conducting his theme song, and then twirls his 'tashe as he waits for the music to wind down.
He begins by saying that he's just left the speakeasy after a good few Gin Rickeys and is looking for a good old fashioned fight in front of these rambunctious rooters in Rock Island! Marion tells Mastiff that he's not sure about his dress sense or his self grooming skills but tonight he will square off against an athletic specimen, and do battle with a man's man, the mustached warrior, the bare-knuckle pugilist Marion Fontaine!
1. Marion Fontaine def. Dave Mastiff with a Single Leg Boston Crab after a match in which he was mostly cannon fodder for big Mastiff, but did execute several comedic gentleman-esque influenced offence spots. Mastiff got over-confident and missed his big splash into the corner which surely would have made mincemeat out of Fontaine, and the Mustached Warrior followed up with an old-school move, a Single Leg Boston Crab to get the submission victory after Mastiff tapped.
Marion got on the microphone after the bout once again, and told the fans he hoped they liked what he thought was a splendid match considering who his opponent was as because Mastiff's personal hygiene was so bad he barely wanted to touch him! Marion reminded everyone that this month is November, or as you should be calling it Movember! Fontaine urged everyone to grow a Mo for your Bros for men's health this month and look like a true gent, just like Marion Fontaine!
2. Heath Slater def. Danny Burch with the Paydirt, as the once leader of The Nexus defeated the former leader of The Hooligan Squad in singles action, as Speed Rumble qualifer Slater gets a win over a former foe to build momentum for his Heavyweight Title Tournament match against Drew McIntrye on the 17th.
3. "Rock Hard" Dick Ryder w/Jeffery Flockhart & Jimmy Hart beat Louis Lyndon, when Hart tripped Louis and allowed Ryder to hit his Gay Basher pump-handle-slam finisher for the win. After the match Ryder made Flockhart once again hold onto his out-turned pocket, Flockhart didn't look like he was overly keen to do so with Jimmy Hart already holding tightly onto the other pocket making him uncomfortable, but he did so none-the-less. Ryder wasn't finished though as told Jeffery to first open the ring-ropes for him and Jimmy, and then to go on all fours, to allow them both to step off the steel ring steps and onto his back, before stepping down onto the floor.
4. "The New Horror" Solomon Crowe def. Luke Harper w/Bray Wyatt & Jimmy Jacobs with a Pentagram choke to get the submission win after Jimmy Jacobs being directed by Bray tried to spear Crowe but clumsily caught Harper instead as Crowe side-stepped, allowing Crowe to follow up for the win. Bray was not best pleased with Jacobs after the match - who again offered himself to Bray willingly, and took a Sister Abigail from Bray Wyatt.
5. Gail Kim def. Brooke Tessmacher with an Over the shoulder back-to-belly piledriver
6. Heavyweight Title Tournament 1st Round Match "The Eater of Worlds" Bray Wyatt w/Luke Harper def. "The Only Star" Daniel Puder by DQ in what was a curious heel vs heel matchup. A limping Luke Harper had tried to interfer earlier but Puder swiftly took out the slower moving Harper with a take-down and some ground & pound before landing some brutal 12-6 downward elbows onto Harper, busting him open with a nasty looking cut (Harper let Puder bust him open hard way!) . Wyatt tried to cut in but Puder would not get off Harper and the ref threw this one out giving Bray the DQ win. Puder obviously did not care about the Heavyweight Title tournament and shouted that he's "coming for you Kenny" as he dropped to the outside and left Bray in the ring stood over a bloodied Harper, not that Bray seemed to care too much about the state of Harper as he dropped to his knees and celebrated his win, having the ref raise his hand as the winner.
7. Heavyweight Title Tournament 1st Round Match Mark Jindrak def. Mistico with the Air-Jindrak in a 12 minute match that was styled as if it was being held in Arena Mexico. Jindrak who has many years experience of wrestling in Mexico has wrestled Mistico on many previous occasions and we could tell as they put together an excellent matchup, lucha style with Jindrak throwing out a few more flying moves than he normally does, while still wrestling big as he should for a man of his size. The former NWA North American Champ Jindrak had too much though for Mistico tonight and looks like an early favorite to replace Chris Masters as Windy City Heavyweight Champion.

"Windy City On Tour" #36 Quincy, Illinois (17/11/14)
1. "The New Horror" Solomon Crowe & Goldust went to a no-contest when Jimmy Jacobs of the Wyatt Family interfered all on his own, with Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper both absent. Jacobs trying to make up for him causing Harper a loss against Crowe last week attacked both men but was soon over-powered as Crowe and debutante Goldust who seemed to earn each others respect during the ten minute match joined forces to send Jacobs flying over the top rope.
NWA Windy City Womens Championship Match 2. Paige [c] def. Brooke Tessmacher with with a Cloverleaf to retain the Womens Championship
3. "The Saint" Anthony Henry def. Louis Lyndon with a Frogsplash in an entertaining little match as Henry of NWA Mid-Atlantic moonlights here in Windy City and makes a splash picking up a win. Henry who garnered some cheers from the crowd, seemed to be the cocky but cool type of guy, the kind who goes down well in Chicago.
Unfortunately for Henry though, his renedevous over in Illinois didn't sit well with the Zero Gravity Champion Sean Waltman. Waltman has been competing against Henry over in Mid-Atlantic and made sure that Henry knew he was on Waltman's turf tonight as Waltman slid into the ring after the match and attacked Henry with some rapid fire kicks, before a jumping roundhouse sent The Saint down. Waltman grabbed Henry as he tried to get back to his feet and nailed him with a nasty X-Factor!
These two are due to face each over in Mid-Atlantic on iPPV this weekend, but with the scuffle also turning up in Illinois, Triple H came out and told the live crowd that these two will also go one-on-one for the Zero Gravity Title on Fight Night on the 27th!
Waltman seemed quite pleased with this outcome to be honest and he still got a bit of a face reaction despite his heelish actions of tonight and the last couple of weeks, what with Anthony being an outsider and all, despite him impressing. But once again Triple H got involved in Sean Waltman's career, as he helped Waltman get one of his rivals for a Starcade spot in the ring on home turf.
4. Sheamus def. Crash Test Dummy with the Brogue Kick in under a minute in a squash match as The Great White makes his first appearance in Windy City since he was defending the NWA World Heavyweight Title a couple of years ago and made a great impression with the live crowd.
5. Heavyweight Title Tournament 1st Round Match "Shuga" Shane Hollister def. Kofi Kingston with a Shuga Bomb - a new Sit-Out Powerbomb move that Hollister busted out of his locker after Doc Gallows had distracted the ref and allowed Rey Mysterio to leap up onto the top rope and hit Kofi with a flying legdrop while he was down. A wobbly Kofi was prone for Shuga Shane to follow up and progress. Kofi when he managed to get up off his back from the canvas was distraught at losing his chance in the title tournament and was positively enraged!
6. Heavyweight Title Tournament 1st Round Match Jeffery Flockhart w/Dick Ryder & Jimmy Hart def. Rey Mysterio with a Catwalk Kick (Superkick) after a super-intense looking Kofi Kingston repaid the compliment and nailed Rey Rey with a Thunder in Paradise to cause him the upset loss to Flockhart. After the match though Rey managed to avoid further attack thanks to a save from Doc Gallows and was seen smiling to himself under his mask, apparently pleased that he has managed to make Kofi lose his cool. Rey struck while the iron was hot and got on the mike and challenged Kofi to man-up and face him, Hair vs Mask at Fight Night! Kofi still as hot as hell angry, and immediately accepted to face his former friend! Finally...Rey got Kofi to agree to fight him, the match is on, and what an important match to the career of both men!

"Windy City On Tour" #37 Haninbal, Missouri (20/11/14)
Triple H comes down to the ring and announces that tonight we will kick off the action with a Heavyweight Title Tournament 1st round match between the Roddy Piper led hot prospect Drew McIntrye, and the former leader of The Nexus and 3-times tag team champion in Windy City, Heath Slater!
1. Heavyweight Title Tournament 1st Round Match Drew McIntrye w/Roddy Piper def. Heath Slater with the Future Shock DDT *After the match Sheamus turned heel by sneak attacking one of the guys he grew up with in the UK scene in Drew McIntrye hitting him with the Brogue Kick, and then nailing Heath Slater with the White Noise.
Sheamus got the mike and told his enraged mentor Roddy Piper that he is a former NWA World Champion, and he hasn't been considered for a Heavyweight Title tournament slot, but unmotivated pieces of trash like Drew McIntrye can just almost walk into one and don't get him started on Heath Slater!
Piper and Sheamus get into a back and forth arguement which ends with Piper putting Drew's spot in the tournament on the line in the main-event tonight, meaning Drew will have to wrestle twice! Typical Piper!
2. "The Saint" Anthony Henry def. Marion Fontaine in a very hard fought bout with a frogsplash. Marion spent the majority of the match being proud of his Movember 'tache but Henry was the more focused with big matches on the horizon against Zero Gravity Champion Sean Waltman and he got a big win over a man on the rise in Fontaine!
3. Jimmy Jacobs & Luke Harper & "The New Horror" Solomon Crowe & Goldust went to a No-Contest when an all out brawl ensused between the two teams, while Bray Wyatt just watched it all unfold on the outside. Harper was sporting an ugly stitched up forehead thanks to those nasty elbows from Daniel Puder earlier in the tour.
4. NWA North American Champion John Cena def. "Strong Man" Jon Anderson & Bully Ray in a non-title three way hardcore dance when he pinned Anderson following a big FU onto a chair. Bully Ray had the last laugh by hitting Cena with a Bully Cutter through a table after the match.
5. April Davids def. Velvet Sky with a Crossface to get back on winning ways and a possible 3rd match with Paige for the Womens Title beckons in the near future.
6. Heavyweight Title Tournament 1st Round Match "Balls of Steel" Kevin Steen def. "Rock Hard" Dick Ryder w/Jeffery Flockhart & Jimmy Hart, when a Catwalk Superkick from Flockhart caught Ryder flush in the mug by accident and Steen followed up to win.
7. MAIN-EVENT: Heavyweight Title Spot on the line! Drew McIntrye w/Roddy Piper def. Sheamus with the Future Shock DDT in 15 minutes to retain his spot in the tournament after a tremendous battle. Drew kicked out of a pinfall attempt from Sheamus after a white noise from the top rope which totally shocked the 'Great White'. Sheamus went for a Brogue Kick and missed and McIntrye hit his Future Shock DDT for the massively important win!

Well, seems Sheamus' role these days is to come into a territory and lose a big match then be removed from the territory. It sounds like he had a good one with McIntyre, though, so there is that. It is clear with him taking two matches and a segment on a four match television show that he is being groomed to be the face of the company now, and I don't think that's a bad idea. We haven't seen or heard from Chris Masters at all, which is pretty suspect, as it's an "out of sight, out of mind" kind of business, and yet you're still trying to get him a shot at Joe at the PPV. Might have been better advised to have kept him involved in some way on these shows, but that's neither here nor there, we'll see how you handle that when the time comes. Seems like there is going to be even more drama amongst the Gaydar after that tactical error by Flockhart, and Steen continues to look good.

Yeah I did want to do more with Sheamus, but after consideration, at the end of the day I can only have so many top tier guys and didn't want to just put him in the mid-card and hord him until I could come up with something else for him, would rather he got used better elsewhere. Maybe sometime again in the future I might have something more long term for him perhaps.
I've kept Masters off the shows to give him a refresh and to sell the injury, if you get the injury Masters does your very limited, but also someething else... But yeah, watch this space...

Wasn't really intrigued by the first few shows here. I think it was a combination of Masters being completely gone, and on top of that, Cena, Steen & Bryan all weren't working matches on them. I didn't find the cards strong and felt really there was no reason a match like Rey Mysterio vs Jeffrey Flockhart should be headlining a show with all those names that can draw sitting on the bench. On top of that, the geographical selection of shows surprises me a bit too as it seems completely random in assignment that a show in a place with 40,000 people gets that card without any of the draws, and then a show in a location with 17,000 people gets a far stronger card. Maybe run Chicago itself more often with the big cards as it is "Windy City Wrestling" and real promotions have no problem doing that once a month.
That all said, the most recent show was a step up. McIntyre's being built well as joe touched on. I thought he had been a heel all this time after the way he won that battle royal. Knowing it was as a face now, really strange booking. Maybe a heel turn is coming and Triple H gave him #30 or something, although that assumes he would know ahead of time the ring was going to be empty so yeah, ignore that idea lol. I think the Sheamus stuff here was good but had potential as an actual feud beyond this too. Granted you couldn't have run it on the Fight Night show because of the tournament quarter finals, but it would give McIntyre something else to do on shows where he isn't wrestling in the tournament, as opposed to the likely scenario that sees him left off or working guys like Crash Test Dummy or Louis Lyndon.
It's weird. You want Waltman to challenge for the Junior title, cdw wants Henry to, and you're both doing a better job at getting the other's talent over than your own lol. I assume Waltman beats Henry, which would really be the death nail for him to lose again after Waltman beat him in Mid Atlantic, but this is not really a week to week episodic territory. With guys not appearing in some form on every show, or even every other show, sometimes several shows in a row, TV not being a primary thing vs the live events, it's more of a wrestling based promotion than angle based. I think Waltman needs more matches and wins to get over here as a league wide contender. That is after all what got him to be talked of as a contender, his series with Bryan that's now over 2 months ago with no real follow up in the ring in Windy City. Since the last Bryan match on September 13, he's had 1 win here over Rockstar Spud, which is a guy on your office roster, and a 5 second win where he did nothing over Noam Dar. It's not to say it's bad booking within the confines here, just more angle based booking which is a stark contrast to how Dustin is booking Chase Owens, which is a big part in my eyes of being a World Title contender. Hopefully this Heyman accusation thing has a good payoff.
While their in ring appearances have been sparse, both Cena & Steen looked strong here. You have done a good job at keeping interest in a Cena vs Bully Ray match through angle. Going back to Waltman and Starrcade, it would help Bully's case for an actual PPV title shot if he were winning more, something he has not done since September 9, but I think lack of alternatives should be enough there. Steen is really is the silent MVP of this promotion. He has been booked strong, is a top guy. He's been well protected, has managed to avoid anything that could be used as a reason against other top guys on this roster. I still feel like McIntyre will ultimately end up with the title based on your booking, but Steen would be the top choice to me and deserves it. It might seem like nothing, but a win over Dupree here is actually pretty damn rare and a big deal that the hardcore fans would probably pick up on as a reason to further get behind him.
Not specifically related to this show, but on the point of a silent MVP, Shane Hollister has been pretty well protected as well and can be a big player here in the future. The push of him to the quarter finals of this tournament would suggest it's not by accident either. Presumably he has to lose there, but I think he's done enough the last couple months that just being there helps his cause. Taking 2 out of 3 last month from Kris Travis, beating Kofi Kingston here, getting a chance against KENTA.
The Fight Night lineup is pretty strong, maybe the strongest all year, and I would go as far as to say it has the potential to be among the best shows anywhere here all year depending on the route taken with it. Should be a great read.

Thanks for the comments as always Drew was a heel when he debuted and in the Speed Rumble, but Sheamus turning on him and his display in beating him in the main-event, has sort of turned him somewhat face here but with a tweener more neutral actual attitude. I don't think anyone would boo him too bad with Piper on board these days.

Windy City TV: Fight Night 32 (27/11/14)
Where: Maryland Heights, Missouri When: Thursday 27th November, 2014 Attendance: 1,259
Commentators: Rene Young & Paul Heyman Interviewer: Rockstar Spud Ring Announcer: So Cal Val
Chief of Staff Triple H came down to the ring and welcomed everybody to Fight Night once again as Windy City make their way to Maryland Height's, Missouri on the last stop of their Quincy, Illinois Tri State Area tour, with the previous shows on the tours select televised bouts all helping to build to tonight's big tour ender.
As such The King of King's declared that tonight's show truly was stacked! As such there was two matches that could be main-events on any other given Fight Night and the show will open with the first main-event match as four of the NWA's top talents will clash as NWA World Jnr Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan battles AJ Styles, Seth Rollins and Chris Jericho in a non-title 4-way dance - and to end the show wrestling legend, the villainous Rey Mysterio will put his mask on the line against the Hair of his former friend Kofi Kingston in what is a huge match! Trips tells fans at home to stick around because after the break he has a huge announcement to make.
~~1st commercial break~~
We are back and before we get started with the first main-event of the night, we are taken into the ring where there is a big table set up with a row of security guards stood at the ends of the table either side segmenting the ring into two half's. These guards look the real deal as well, these guys are beefed up and the type you see on the walk-ins of big UFC shows.
Bully Ray, and then The NWA North American Champion John Cena are introduced and they are each directed to sit at opposite ends of the table by Triple H who is accompanied by Rockstar Spud dressed as a legal-eagle type guy. Trips tells both men that he knows both men very well and that's why he's not taking any chances with this one, there will be no trouble at this contract signing as tonight both men will sign the contract that will commit both men to face each other at Starcade for the NWA North American Championship!
Bully Ray with chain wrapped around his neck grabs the mike and tells "Jawn Seana" that he's ready to take away his title and finally realise the potential he showed in NWA South Beach. Bully says that he's glad Jawn has finally found the balls to face him and is happy to sign the contract when he is stopped by the Champion. John Cena informs Triple H that he's not happy with the contract.
The potential challenger Bully plays it off like Cena is scared of him after all the beatings and attacks he has had to face recently. Cena stops him in his tracks though and say's it's the exact opposite. Cena says that ever since Bully Ray attacked him after he won the NWA North American Title at Fall Brawl he has realised that he would need to face and take down Bully Ray. But he also realised that this would need to happen in no normal wrestling match. At this stage, a John Cena and Bully Ray match could not be contained within a normal wrestling catch-as-catch-can style. It's just not going to happen. Someone is going to get DQ'd, someone is going to go too far, and Cena says he doesn't want any cheap wins. He wants to chop the head off the snake now and not let things protract. The time is now, and the time will be here at Starcade. Cena tells Trips to make the match an "Extreme Rules Match" - everything will be legal...chains, tables, chairs, ladders, the kitchen sink you name it because John Cena will be throwing it all at Bully Ray!
John Cena writes in the added stip and then signs it, and pushes it towards Bully who also immediately signs it - this is his kind of match after all! Trips looks worried about the legalities and asks the legal eagle Spud to check over the amended contract...but after a few moments he seems happy with it so it must be legal lol but Trips is happy with it, so it's official John Cena will defend the NWA North American Championship against Bully Ray in an Extreme Rules Match at Starcade, January 25th 2015!
Both men stare off towards each other either side of the table, separated by a wall of security. The tension is unbearable as Bully Ray takes the big thick chain from around his neck and flexes his chain around his fists while Cena sticks his head and chin out high and tells Bully Ray to bring all he has at Starcade. Both men slowly back away, and the contract signing ends without violence for a change, but with tensions between these two men undeniably through the roof!
~~2nd commercial break~~
1. 1st MAIN-EVENT: 4-Way Dance - Non-Title Seth Rollins def. Daniel Bryan (NWA World Jnr Heavyweight Champ), AJ Styles & Chris Jericho in 16:08 when Rollins pinned Jericho following a Curb Stomp.
NWA World Champ Samoa Joe had earlier made an appearance and an impact in the match when he took out AJ Styles with a Muscle Buster. Daniel Bryan was moments away from making the save but just couldn't make it on this occassion and the winners purse went the way of Seth Rollins!
2. Heavyweight Title Tournament Quarter Final KENTA def. "Shuga" Shane Hollister with a Busaiku knee in 07:24 to win a hard-fought battle over the highly touted Shuga Shane.
~~3rd commercial break~~
3. Heavyweight Title Tournament Quarter Final "Balls of Steel" Kevin Steen def. Jeffery Flockhart w/The Gaydar with a Pop-Up Powerbomb after he caught Flockhart running in from the ropes towards him, Flockhart also got in a tangle with his partner Dick Ryder prior to his ill-fated rope-run charge as the two clashed when Steen reversed Flockhart and shot him into the ropes into Ryder. 06:28
4. Solomon Crowe w/Goldust def. Jimmy Jacobs w/The Wyatt Family (Harper & Wyatt) in 05:22 by submission with the Koji Clutch.
Jacobs who had put up a superb crisp performance and fight and was dominating until this moment, was trapped in the Koji Clutch and in great peril. Bray Wyatt at ringside, his leader in the Wyatt Family looked up to the sky's and then out to the crowd, as if he was considering something. Bray knelled down towards the crowd, towards the fans in a religious almost praying pose, summoning up some help, some spirit for Jacobs perhaps - but in the end he did nothing to help him and instead off-mike but still to be heard on camera was shouting that he was 'saving the world with a touch and will burn it to the ground with a kiss!' and 'making an offering to the dark legion'. Bray reached into the ring, and softly touched Jimmy's face, before he and Luke Harper slowly left the ring leaving Jacobs on his own, reaching out towards Bray. He could do nothing more than show his anguish and betrayal on his face for all to see, and eventually tap out and give Solomon Crowe a big win.
5. #1 Contenders Match to the NWA World Jnr Heavyweight Title "The Kid" Sean Waltman (Zero Gravity Champion) def. "The Saint" Anthony Henry with an X-Factor in a hotly contested 9 minute match. The Kid who has recently traded wins with Henry both here and Mid-Atlantic tonight looked very crisp, very together and just wrestled like a machine and was in the end too much for Henry tonight. Sean Waltman won but once again did not impress PAUL HEYMAN on commentary, who said that he's arranged something a little later to get to the bottom of his long held suspicions.
~~4th commercial break~~
6. Heavyweight Title Tournament Quarter Final Bray Wyatt w/The Wyatt Family def. Drew McIntrye w/"Rowdy" Roddy Piper in a very close affair in 15:20.
Drew worked a neutral style than of recent times, not outright breaking rules but certainly bending them a little, such as taking up to the almost full count of 5 before breaking holds - while still gaining cheers from the fans. Much like his mentor Roddy Piper, it seems the fans have found him hard to boo since his heroic win over Sheamus earlier on the tour! The current Cyber TV Champion would prevail though to the disapointment of many...when with Bray in trouble on the outside after being sent flying over the top with a clothesline from Drew, he sent Harper over to take Piper's attention and did the same pondering look out to the crowd that he did in Jimmy Jacobs earlier match against Solomon Crowe - but this time he he nelt down and begun praying and slowly blew a kiss towards the skys. Moments later the arena was in shock as THE BRISCOE BROTHERS slid into the ring behind Drew from out god knows where and both men rushed Drew McIntrye knocking him down with clubbing blows to the back. Drew was quickly hoisted up onto a Brisco's shoulders and the Briscoe's hit a Springboard Doomsday Device that turns Drew inside out! Piper is down on the outside thanks to Luke Harper and Bray slides back into the ring after distracting the ref with all of this going on. Bray grins creepily towards Jay and Mark who are now on the outside, and picks up Drew, kisses him...and Sister Abigail and it's all over Bray Wyatt progresses into the semi-finals!
The BRISOCE BROTHERS hang around a little on the outside, not moving much and not giving anything away, before eventually they slowly back off walking backwards towards the lockers.
7. Heavyweight Title Tournament Quarter Final "The Reflection of Perfection" Mark Jindrak def. Adrian Neville with Air-Jindrak in 10:14 in another bout that could have gone either way, but on this occassion the experience of the former NWA North American Champion told as he managed to walk away with the victory over many pundits outside tip for the vacant Heavyweight Title! Both men looked good in this match thought and Neville showed he can compete with top NWA ranked talents of the like of Jindrak and gains from the defeat while Jindrak looks to be a good shout to win the whole thing on this form.
~~5th commercial break~~
**Next up "The Only Star" Daniel Puder comes down to the ring. He reminds the fans that he called out that coward, faggot, Ken Shamrock on last month's big Fight Night show and challenged him to an MMA fight!
Puder says that Shamrock is just what some people call a cat, or what Puder stuck his fist up Ken's mom's last night. Puder said he would beat Ken harder than his step-dad ever did in an MMA fight and he's not surprised that Ken just swallowed his own bollocks and tried to make a joke out of The Only Star's challenge!
About to start up again with another verbal assault on Ken Shamrock, Puder suddenly stopped as Ken Shamrock power walks to the ring from the back! Wearing wrestling boots and trunks and sporting the mean looking face only Shamrock's mum could love he looked to be ready and willing to fight, now! Puder is surprised and looks a little taken aback but he doesn't back down - both men start off right up into each others faces, finger pointing, heads almost butting, plenty of bleeps and it kicks off both men throwing hard looking real punshes. A swarm of security storm the ring and pull the two apart before it can get any more out of hand. It looks like we will soon see Daniel Puder and Ken Shamrock going at it in a Windy City ring!
8. NWA Windy City Womens Championship Match Paige [c] def. Gail Kim with the PTO – Paige Tap Out / Scorpion Crosslock in 7:45 to retain her title.
The Cheif of Staff Triple H then came out and congraulated Paige on her successful title defence against former NWA World Womens Champion Gail Kim. He went on to announce that as Paige is a 2-time NWA Windy City Womens Champion and has the most combined major title-holding days of any other current woman's wrestler in the world that she has been granted an NWA World's Women's Championship match against the champion, AJ Lee, at the biggest stage of them all, Starcade!
Paige looked overjoyed, but then Trips brought her back down to earth when he announced that two week's before Starcade on January 11th, Paige would first defend her NWA Windy City Womens Championship against the former champion April Davids and that match would be a Submission Only Match, with special referee the current World Champion AJ Lee!

*"The Kid" Sean Waltman is seen leaving the arena, his bag slung over his shoulder, ZG title hanging out of it, with a bum bag around the waist early 90s style. Suddenly we hear PAUL HEYMAN shouting, he comes into view and is dragging along some very official looking guy dressed in a lab-coat and carrying some clip boards and boxes of what appear to be test tubes! Heyman shouts at "Doc" to "test that cheating scumbag". Waltman see's them coming and turns into a sprint without looking back or asking any questions! Waltman in the process drops his bag containing his ZG Title and hops on his motorcycle and kick-starts it out of the arena pronto.
Heyman looks pissed that Waltman got out of dodge but "Doc" is shaking his head and making notes on his clipboard. Heyman though notices Waltman's dropped bag and a smile forms over his face.
8. 2nd MAIN-EVENT: Hair vs Mask Kofi Kingston def. Rey Mysterio w/Doc Gallows with The Trouble In Paradise in 18:28.
This was a very pleasing match, as Rey put all he had left into this match despite his knackered knee's and used every heel trick in the book to keep trying to get the advantage over former friend Kofi. As the match progressed though it seemed apparent that Kofi was just too good and too young for Rey to handle, at this stage of his career - and with a smirk as if he planned this all along if plan A didn't work - Rey it seemed decided to go out on his shield and after firstly sending Doc Gallows to the back on his own orders, Rey then on his knee's encouraged Kofi to kick him hard in the chest, and again, and again.
Rey was wobbly on his knee's but still beckoned in Kofi to finish him. Kofi was reluctant and didn't want to pull the trigger on what once was a great friend to Kofi. The crowd roared their approval, begging Kofi to kick Rey in the head. Kofi couldn't believe his ears and asked the crowd if they was sure?! Distrubed and confused, Kofi readied up and blasted Rey in the head with a hard kick knocking him out cold instantly.
Kofi made the academic cover for the three count and it was all over, but Kofi Kingston did not seem to be happy with his big win one bit. With the fans screaming at Kofi to un-mask Rey, Kofi grabbed Rey Mysterio by the mask and paused for dramatic effect and he got ready to unmask the Mexican and American wrestling legend! At the last moment though Kofi seemed sickened by the crowd's demands and instead did not remove the mask of Rey Mysterio and instead grabbed his former friend and helped him out of the ring, leaving the ring holding up Rey as he leaves with a visibly disturbed and upset look on his face.
>>>Show goes to graphics and Rene Young makes a breaking announcement that former Heavyweight Champion CHRIS MASTERS will be on the next Fight Night, on the same event the semi-finals and finals of the Heavyweight Title tournament will take place. We will have a new champion crowned as the last champion who vacated the belt returns from injury on the very same show, what will happen as Masters who has been very conspicuous by his absence, even though he was injured, returns to Windy City for the first time since vacating the title?
