Michael Hayes & Metal Master defeat The No Class Connection @ 6:23 when Hayes made Leon Shelly tap to The Liberty Lock. This match originally began as a singles match with Metal Master vs Shelly and Deonta Davis at ringside in Shelly's corner. During the match however, Davis interfered by tripping the masked wrestler as Shelly had the referee distracted. This led to Hayes coming out, likely scouting an upcoming singles match of his own with Metal Master at the SNS. Davis tried interfering again, leading to the on the spot judgment call to just make this a tag team match. Master would get worked over, but a hot tag to Hayes allowed him to make the comeback on Shelly. Master cleared Davis of the ring as Hayes put on his submission and the 2 took the victory. Things will be different on Saturday though when the 2 wrestlers are across the way from each other in the ring in what should be an exciting match and may have some importance on the rankings given the run Hayes is on and Metal Master being a recent holder of the TV Title.

Stuart Miles defeats Jon Ramser @ 4:18 via pinfall after the Say Your Prayers, a curb stomp to the back of the head of his kneeling opponent. This marked the return to action for The Pastor of Disaster and he wasted little time getting to his old ways by taking the mic before the match and running down Ram Jam, his deaf opponent. He also addressed The Pope Elijah Burke as a failure in the eyes of the sinners here, but also in the eyes of God. If he has any guts, he will step up and answer the challenge of Christopher Daniels last week to return a better man from his loss to CM Punk at Retribution. And if he does he will find out that the Book of Miles has a few more passages that nobody has read yet that may come as a surprise to all. After the match, Miles took his book and helped up Ram Jam, only to deck him in the head with it. Dean calls it pathetic, while Titus laughs it up.

The Gossip Minute with Mandy Leon
The Gossip Girl Mandy Leon is back and runs down some of the latest news and rumors that are making the rounds from backstage at the Davis Arena. Fact or fiction, you decide ...- Jim Cornette was hired as Director of Authority after somebody else turned it down
- Timmy Danger's search for a new wrestler has drawn interest from as far away as Japan
- Melvin Maximus is training to compete in the 2015 Kentucky Muscle, having won twice pre wrestling career
- Shelly Martinez is planning on expanding her search for gold by going after the Women's Title herself

Rob Conway defeats J Best @ 4:37 via pinfall after The Ego Trip, a Whiplash. In his first match since the confrontation with Jeremiah Plunkett 2 weeks ago, The Ironman is in dominant form allowing for little offense from his lesser opponent here. During the match, the commentators discuss the words from Conway last week, this now bringing him to 2-0 on the run, but Titus feels the competition will only get bigger and better if his goal is to win the NWA World Title during 2015. Also in discussion was an open contract from Conway for the Saturday Night Special. The list of wrestlers wanting a piece of him has to be long right now, but Dean thinks that doesn't make it wise. After the match as the referee raises Conway's hand ...
... the music hits
... oh Lord

TV champion Eric Locker defeats Aaron Sky in a non title match @ 8:05 via pinfall after the Hurt Locker, an electric chair dropped into a German suplex. A strong showing from Sky as he looked to help out Rockstar Ryan Howe in this match with a scouting opportunity, although Dean feels it is likely more an attempt to upstage Howe. Sky would get a solid string of offense going, including connecting with the springboard splash for a very close 2 count. Locker however would make the comeback and manage to put Sky away for the win. All 3 commentators were impressed with Sky and feel that the injury to Robbie Walker could be of benefit to him improving as a singles wrestler. Titus reminds them of the appearance last week by Shelly Martinez after Howe rejected the idea of furthering The Skyrockers tag team, feeling she could use her significant assets to get Sky to the top faster. Dean says if Sky's smart, he'll listen to Bud Dwight's comments for Eddie Diamond earlier and steer clear.

The Chris Silvio Show w/ Paredyse
The lights go out as the hula hoop with lights appears, twirling around. "Paint It Black" by The Rolling Stones hits as the lights go up and out comes The Psychedelic Superstar Chris Silvio. Upon getting in the ring, he takes the mic to address the Davis Arena. He says that everybody here is in for a treat today because he will be doing a special live edition of his podcast, right here, right now. And just to show there are no hard feelings before his match with Paredyse at the Saturday Night Special, no hard feelings after Paredyse gave him a concussion at Rage In The Cage in October and put him out of action for 2 months, no hard feelings after he put a soiled diaper on his head! The anger rises as Silvio says that he will join him out here because his guest is his former tag team partner, Ohio Valley's most flamboyant, most unorthodox, Paredyse! And with that, Paredyse's music "Don't Cha" by The Pussy Cat Dolls plays, except it's not Paredyse that comes out. Rather it is ... Silvio immediately starts laying in with boots to Elvis as Mary Jane tells him to keep going. Just then, Paredyse runs out for the save. He gets in as Silvio cowardly pulls his valet into the way. Dean starts ripping on commentary at the act. Paredyse can't believe it either, but Mary Jane quickly steps forward and gives Paredyse a low blow kick to drop him to his knees. Silvio then takes a step and leaps into a second Psychedelic Superpunch to the already downed ex partner. Silvio gets up and stands over his ex partner, just looking at him in anger and disgust. Mary Jane verbally rips into Paredyse before Silvio finally looks up and just raises a right hand in the air. This feud has intensified in a hurry and what is going to happen when they finally meet 1 on 1 at the Saturday Night Special?
-- Fifth commercial break --
Before the next match, time to go over the card in full for the Saturday Night Special. Saturday February 7 from the Davis Arena, no less than 10 big matches in the follow up to the Retribution iPPV 3 weeks ago.
- Paredyse vs The Psychedelic Superstar Chris Silvio, and after what we just saw, it may not be for the faint of heart
- Ironman Rob Conway vs The Body Guy
- Rump Thump vs New Wave Dylan Bostic
- The Wild Boyz vs Rudo Raul Lamotta & The Mexicutioner
- Michael Hayes vs Metal Master
- The Pope Elijah Burke vs The Pastor of Disaster Stuart Miles per the challenge from Christopher Daniels, if Burke shows up
- Eric Locker defends the TV Title against Rockstar Ryan Howe
- NWA World champion AJ Lee vs OVW Women's champion Jessie Belle, both titles on the line
- Main event sees Jamin Olivencia defend the Heavyweight Title against both Mr. 1859 Cliff Compton and Rudy Switchblade in a 3 way, with Shiloh Jonze & The French Stallion of The Blacklist barred from the building
All that and more action as well. Also, the new Director of Authority Jim Cornette has invited Jeremiah Plunkett to finally speak his mind and show up for the first time since his altercation with Rob Conway 2 weeks ago on TV from the crowd. Will Plunkett have the guts to step back into the Davis Arena? Right now though ...

Heavyweight champion Jamin Olivencia & Cliff Compton defeat Tag Team champions The Blacklist in a non title match @ 9:46 when Olivencia pinned The French Stallion after the Standing O, a jumping bodyscissors into a DDT. Fast paced back and forth that sees Shiloh Jonze & Stallion seemingly more focused on injuring their opponents than winning a match. Gilbert asks Rudy Switchblade on commentary if this is part of the plan and Switchblade answers that what they do is their own business, they are the best tag team in Ohio Valley and deserve more respect from Gilbert. Jonze gets in the mandible claw on Compton to wear him down, but Mr. 1859 would get regenerated by the fan support and fight back up and break free. Jonze tags Stallion, who rushes in to prevent the hot tag, but he is too late as Olivencia comes in. There is no stopping him as he goes to work on Stallion, eventually hitting his finisher and getting the 3 as Compton stands guard to make sure Jonze doesn't get in there. Switchblade stands and mockingly applauds from commentary, clearly unimpressed with the victory. Gilbert reminds him that as a result of that win, they get a Tag Team Title shot next week on TV. Switchblade says that's fine because after he beats both of them, after Olivencia loses the title and has nobody to blame but Compton, you think they will be out here getting along in a week's time?
Nevermind a week though because Switchblade gathers the troops outside the ring. He readies Jonze & Stallion to strike now and maybe use a 3 on 2 to really ensure he goes into the SNS with an advantage. Before they can do anything though, the D.o.A. Jim Cornette is out from the back. He has Davis Arena security with him and says to get Jonze & Stallion out of here! The fans cheer as they get between The Blacklist, forcing Switchblade into isolation. Cornette tells him that he hopes he's happy now because this is the real preview of the Saturday Night Special, Switchblade left all alone with Olivencia and Compton, except while he can stand outside the ring now, at the SNS he will have to get in there and fight if he wants the title. Cornette tells them to have fun and not to do anything he wouldn't do. The show goes off the air as Gilbert says to come to the Davis Arena for the SNS and if you can't, make sure to catch it on demand beginning Sunday night. For the absent Dean Hill and Michael Titus, so long from Gilbert Corsey.
Websclusive match #1
Ryan Howe defeats Dapper Dan @ 5:50 via pinfall after the Chart Topper, a blockbuster DDT off the top rope. A rubber match of sorts with Dan having pinned Howe back on the December 6 TV, and Howe returning the favor on the January 10 TV. Commentators for the match were The Fan Advocate Terry Boddie and Timmy Danger, on the lookout for a new client per his worldwide search. Howe shows some versatility with the alternate finisher to the Whammy Bar, showing he can get it done by pinfall or submission. When asked if Howe would make a good candidate for Danger International, the manager states only if he wins the TV Title from Eric Locker at the Saturday Night Special first because titles equal more money for him, something that won't happen in his opinion anyway.VS |
Websclusive match #2
The Body Guy defeats Rump Thump @ 5:09 via countout thanks to interference from Dylan Bostic. The action was going back and forth until spilling outside the ring where New Wave Dylan Bostic was looking on. He didn't interfere at first, but did cause Rump Thump to lose focus and turn his back on his opponent. Body Guy then kneed Rump Thump in the back into the ringpost and slid back in. As the referee warned him, Bostic picked up Thump and threw him head first into the ring stairs. The referee turned around unaware and made the count to 10. A travesty according to Boddie, but Rump Thump will have the chance at revenge at the SNS in their match. Body Guy meanwhile has the chance to upset Rob Conway and put an end to his search for World championship gold, something that would get Danger's attention.VS |
