Ep. 8
02/05/15
Aired 02//12/15
Taz and Josh Mathews welcome the fans, then AJ Styles makes his way out and he gets *CHEERS* from the crowd here in Orlando! AJ holds up his two title belts, the World title and the Impact title, and says they are now unified and he will be defending them as one! This gets a big rise, as Kurt Angle makes his way out, the newly appointed General Manager of Impact! Angle says it's not just the Impact title, but ALL Impact titles will be unified with World championships at Bound for Glory! The fans give this a good reaction, but some music hits, and out to the ring runs former Impact GM MVP, former World champion Samoa Joe, along with Low Ki, Homicide, and Tyrus! They lay a beat down on AJ Styles, as Kurt Angle yells for security! MVP grabs the mic and says Styles won't be holding his gold for long, and the BEAT DOWN CLAN will be taking all of the gold in wrestling here soon! Tyrus then runs off the ropes and crushes Styles with the Fall of Humanity, and everyone cringes!
"The Destroyer" Bobby Lashley vs. "Long Island Iced Z" Zack Ryder w/ "The Platinum Poppa" Rob Eckos & Santana Garrett
Ryder, Eckos, and Garrett would make their way out in obnoxious fashion, but Lashley would do the fans a favor and end this in short fashion. Ryder would hit some early offense, but it was largely ineffective and he would lose focus taunting and posing. Lashley would obliterate him with a Spear, and that would earn the "Destroyer" a victory.
Curt Hawkins w/ Tyler Reks vs. Trent Barreta
Reks would get involved early and often here, stopping Barreta's fast paced offense by grabbing his boot while running or shaking the ropes as he went high risk. Hawkins would end up delivering the Taste of Pain after catching Barreta distracted, getting the pinfall!
Backstage, Austin Aries is standing in with Christy Hemme. He says AJ Styles has been a friend and an inspiration to him for years, and says tonight, he's going to take on Samoa Joe and show him what it feels like to lose again to the "Greatest Man That Ever Lived"!
British Hardcore: Bram & Magnus vs. The Revolution: Gunner & James Storm w/ Abyss
The fans were behind Bram and Magnus, who showed great energy and took the fight to the more brooding and methodical Gunner and Storm. Abyss would get involved a few times, but Bram would end up diving from the ring and getting into a brawl with a Abyss, getting the fans going as they fought into the crowd! This would unfortunately leave Magnus exposed, allowing Gunner and Storm to hit a Powerslam/Neckbreaker combo to get the win!
The Young Bucks are backstage with Christy Hemme, and the new World Tag Team champions say they can't wait to get into the ring and beat reDRagon to unify the tag team titles at Bound for Glory, where they will be bound for a Superkick Party and to go home empty handed!
"The It Factor" Bobby Roode vs. "Showtime" Eric Young
Roode and Young have been teammates and enemies many time over the years, and were called upon to have a good, physical competition here. Roode was looking to seal the win with the Roode Bomb, but Young would slip out, rolling Roode up with a Prawn Hold, grabbing the tights to steal it! The fans boo wildly as Young smirks, and Roode can't believe it!
Mickie James & Ivelisse vs. The Beautiful People: Angelina Love & Velvet Sky
James and Ivelisse had the fans behind them, as the Beautiful People would snub them with their antics. The Beautiful People would harass their opponents relentlessly, but James and Ivelisse proved to be very capable, despite never having teamed before, would gain a number of near falls. James would end up catching Sky taunting after hitting a Dropkick on Ivelisse that sent her out of the ring, delivering the Mick Kick to clean her clock and get the three! After the match, the Beautiful People would attack James and Ivelisse, smearing make up on their faces and spitting on them!
Jay Lethal is backstage, wearing a suit and sunglasses, alongside Ricochet, who is more casually clad, as Christy Hemme stands in for the interview. Lethal has his X Division title in hand, and Brooke Tessmacher on his arm, and he proclaims LOOK AT THAT, LOOK AT THAT, as Brooke does a twirl for the camera. Now that's sweet! Ricochet and Lethal trade daps before Lethal goes on a tirade about StarrCade. Lethal says he came within an eyelash of beating the beardo wimp Daisy Bryan who's held the World Junior championship hostage for far too long, and even as he overmatched him, humiliated him with his skills, and made the crowd turn on him, chanting the name of a true champion... LETHAL, LETHAL, LETHAL... echoing from the rafters, it was not to be! The fans had come to see a title change, packed in tight, standing room only, hangin' from the rafters, a family of five trampled to death at the doors by the mob just trying to get through... the ticket people, they threw up their hands, they left, they knew the whole city of Inglewood was coming in that night to see Jay Lethal lift the gold! But to the dismay of all, to the disappointment of every true, red blooded wrestling fan today, the stars did not align, and destiny was not yet to be fulfilled, but the word is YET! Jay Lethal says the riots can end, the fires in the cities of those sick and tired of being sick tired, those disillusioned with the miscarriages of justice and who seek retribution, it can all end now! Stop the looting, stop the protests, and rest assured that the discrimination and abomination that took place at StarrCade did nothing to discourage Jay Lethal, and it will not stop the good fight! No, Daisy Boy's living on borrowed time, as his so-called victory only stood to INVIGORATE Jay Lethal further! WHOO! He says he knows he has much taller mountains to climb to achieve greatness compared to the bunny hills of averageness that stand before Bryan day in and day out, and while he could make excuses, HE'S GONNA MAKE IMPROVEMENTS! HE'S GONNA MAKE PINFALLS, HE'S GONNA MAKE GROWN MEN SCREAM IN AGONY! He says he's been wrestling for a superior company against superior competition, and defending a championship far more meaningful than the paper weight Bryan holds now, but all of that stands to change at BOUND FOR GLORY! Lethal promises, no, VOWS that he will right the wrongs of yesterday, though, and complete his quest, the quest to be recognized as THE ELITE in professional wrestling, when he gets his rematch, and the titles are unified! Mark your calender, call your cable provider, and if their carrying it, you TELL 'EM JAY LETHAL SENT YA, AND HE'LL SNAP THEIR SKINNY LITTLE NECKS IF YOU DON'T GET TO SEE BOUND FOR GLORY! THE TITLE WILL CHANGE, HISTORY WILL BE MADE, BUT THEY GOT A MATCH TONIGHT, SO STAY TUNED, IT'S NEXT!
Jay Lethal & Ricochet w/ Brooke vs. The Motor City Machine Guns: Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley
This match wouldn't last long and saw quite the shock, as Alex Shelley turned on Sabin, who recently knocked Shelley off the apron accidentally against reDRagon, costing them the Impact Tag Team titles, potentially. Shelley would outright turn on Sabin, helping Lethal and Ricochet put the boots to him, and then stretched him out so Lethal could come off the top with the Flying Elbow Drop, which was enough to put away Sabin for the three.
After the match, Shelley grabs the microphone as the fans boo. He says he's tired of mediocrity, and he's seen from a champion like Lethal, and a former World Junior champion in Ricochet, a title he once held, is anything but mediocre! In fact, what he now has completely is a constellation of great stars, a triangle triumph! Lethal takes the mic and says READ IT AND WEEP, WRESTLING WORLD, CAUSE THERE'S A NEW POWER AT HAND! 3LITE (pronounced three-leet) ARE HERE, AND WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR LOVE IT, YOU BETTER GET USED TO IT, CAUSE THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO STOP IT! At Bound for Glory, Jay Lethal takes the World Junior championship, and then from there, it's gonna look like 3lite robbed Fort Knox, cause their gonna be hoarding all the gold, baby! Ricochet and Shelley mime championship belts around their waist as Lethal flashes three fingers, his index, middle, and little fingers, as a new hand signal for this new group as Brooke cheers them on.
"The Greatest Man That Ever Lived" Austin Aries vs. Samoa Joe w/ MVP & Tyrus
MVP is at ringside with his big body guard Tyrus, but Aries doesn't seem to be afraid in this match. Joe shows his toughness and why he held the World championship for a long time, as Aries came at him hard and he was able to take a lot of damage. Aries would manage to rally and even got Joe up and delivered a Brainbuster, leading MVP to get on the apron and protest! Aries would rush and dropkick MVP off the apron, sending him flying off into Tyrus, knocking both men a little loopy. Later in the match, Aries would manage to reverse a Muscle Buster attempt and then sent Joe into the buckles, catching him with a Running Dropkick in the corner. Aries then went up, thinking 450, when MVP got on the apron again! This time, from the crowd came Homicide, who used a Blackjack to smack Aries to the back of the head, sending him off the buckles, knocked out cold! Joe proceeds to lock on the Clutch, and the referee turns, checking Aries, and he's out! The Beat Down Clan steals one here, and the fans don't seem to like this!
After the match, Low Ki makes his way out, and the whole Clan begin to kicking Aries when he is down. That's when out runs BOBBY LASHLEY, who's clearly seen enough, and "The Destroyer" comes in and Spears both Low Ki and Homicide, taking them down hard! MVP and Joe bolt from the ring, but Tyrus is still in, and the big man looks like he wants a piece of Lashley. Tyrus runs at Lashley, but Lashley backs up and low bridges him, grabbing the ropes, and Tyrus falls to the outside. The fans cheer as Lashley helps up Aries, and tells the Beat Down Clan to bring it on, but they don't want to mix up with the "Destroyer" here as the show comes to an end!
