14/02/15; The Logan Square Auditorium, Chicago, IL (700 Capacity)
60-minute Live Web Exclusive: Available to stream live & on-demand from the Windy City website, Mobile & Tablet Apps & the Internet Wrestling Network
Featured Michael Cole and William Regal on commentary; and included Rene Young on interviews with So Cal Val introducing the competitors.
Daniel Puder, Ricardo Rodriguez and Gail Kim was tonight's judges with the score-cards should they be needed. Time-Limit's on all matches still at 10 minutes, with the Cyber TV Title being the only championship that can change hands by points decision should the match go the distance.
"The Legendary" Heath Slater defeats Kenny King with the Immortal Driver, a Snapmare Driver in 5:34; This was a repacking of sorts of Heath Slater who makes his return to Windy City last being seen taking part in the Heavyweight Title Tournament won by Kevin Steen; Slater instructed So Cal Val to introduce him as "The legendary" Heath Slater, after she had simply announced him with only his name. So Cal Val did as asked after a shrug of her shoulders - Heath Slater kissed his Hall of Fame ring as he was re-introduced - given to him after The Nexus was inducted into the Windy City Hall of Fame recently; After the match Slater was interviewed at ringside by Rene Young. Slater said that The Nexus was 3-times tag team champions here in Chicago, and he is a living legend as is backed up with his induction into the Hall of Fame... Slater said did he forget to mention, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame recently! Slater declared that soon he would have a matching 2nd Hall of Fame ring to put on his other finger, because once's he's finished with these chumps in Chicago, he'll be inducted into the Hall of Fame for his singles work too!
*Michael Cole then ran through the recent happenings in the Sean Waltman P.E.D's story that has been on-going a while. Cole recapped the last Fight Night where under pressure from the Powers That Be thanks to Paul Heyman, Triple H notified Waltman to take an out-of-competition drug test before his match on the next Fight Night for the ZG Title against 2015 ZG Cup Winner Adrian Neville. Waltman will need to pass that test as well as one on the night, or he will be stripped of the ZG Title and suspended from Windy City.
Cole announces that the random out of competition test is taking place tonight, and they have some live footage. The ZG Champion Sean Waltman is at the gym and is seen working out with Kevin Nash. A camera is following Paul Heyman who has seemingly become a crusader of sorts for cleaning up the sport of pro-wrestling from performance enhancing drugs probably out of spite for Waltman turning him down and is flanked by a representative of the World Anti-Doping Agency.
The WADA rep asks Waltman for a urine sample. Heyman is giving it the big mouth all the time saying Waltman is going to fail because he's a cheat. Waltman takes the test tube given to him and say's he'll be back a minute but is stopped by Heyman who says the rep need's to have a clear and unobstructed view of the passing of urine. Therefore he asks Waltman to remove any clothing that obstructs that view and tells him to piss infront of him where he can see him. The rep pulls Waltman to one side while Nash just shakes his head at the shambles, the rep asks Waltman to pull his shirt up to mid-torso, roll his sleeves up and trousers pulled down to mid-thigh. Nash says that this is literally taking the piss.
We wait for Waltman to deliver with baited breath, but nothing is happening. Waltman asks for some water, we'll come back to this later says Cole. *
"Kharma" Kia Stevens & Cheerleader Melissa beat the team of Paige & Serena Deeb in 04:45, when Stevens pins Deeb following the Implant Buster; Luke Harper who freaked out Serena Deeb during her singles win recently returned to the ring during this match and seemed to be stalking Deeb following her around on the outside when she was not tagged into the match. This ultimately caused her to lose concentration and lose the fall; Meanwhile Kia Stevens who has made a big impact since her arrival in Chicago gains a victory over a tag team containing the current Womens Champion Paige.
*Rockstar Spud is backstage with Triple H. Spud asks if Trip's was impressed with his big win over American Kickboxer 2 on the 4th Anniversary Show. Trips said no he was too busy setting up the rest of the show to notice much apart from when he had to restart the match due to you two relics taking up too much time. The former NWA World Jr Heavyweight Champion Spud urges his boss to go back and watch that match on tape because he shows he has the class to compete at the top level and is being wasted being in this side-kick, interviewer role. Spud tells HHH that he wants to return to active in-ring competiton and asks if he can grant that?! Triple H considers this for a moment and says sure, if he can win his next match he's back on the roster, but his next match is against rising star, The Uhaa Nation! Spud protests at the mismatch but to no avail, the match is on and next.
Uhaa Nation squashes Rockstar Spud finishing him with the Uhaa Combination, a Gorilla Press Drop followed by a standing moonsault followed by a standing shooting star press in 2:02; Spud did well early on but Uhaa was much bigger and just took over with a dominant display that leaves Spud not on the Windy City roster still.
The Usos (Jimmy & Jey), the Tag Team Champions downed The Lucha Dragons, Sin Cara & Kalisto in 7:20 in what was a decent test for the new tag team champions from the new debuting team of The Lucha Dragons; The Uso's was interviewed by Rene Young at ringside afterwards and they said tonight was a good run out but they needed to have a big challenge. They challenged the rest of the tag teams to compete in a #1 contenders tourney, to decide amongst themselves who was the best team to challenge them.
*Cole checks in with the live feed of the Sean Waltman out of competiton drug test. Sean is seen drinking a pint of water, with several empty cups nearby. Cole is told Sean is still struggling to produce, and more water is needed to be drank. We'll be back to check on the situation later.*
*Instead the show moves to Triple H's office and we see Box Office there with Triple H. The Miz, Alex Riley and Maryse are demanding to be placed into the #1 contenders tourney for the tag team titles. The Miz stops mid-sentance though and asks a camera holding Riley "what his motivation is again?". Riley clad in a white suit and holding a clipboard snaps the clipboard and shouts "Cut!'". Riley has a quick one-to-one with The Miz and quietly tells him that he is long under-utilised, you feel like you have been held down by the indy fappers but you know nobody works harder than you do, and you feel like you absolutely deserve to be the World Champion, never mind getting a spot in a #1 contenders tag team tourney. Riley tells The Miz to put Triple H in his place and demand his shot.
All the while Trips is looking on, and The Miz pauses a little, as if getting his mindset ready. Riley crys out "Action!" - The Miz then tells Triple H that due to certain indy darling stars demanding all the top spots he's never been given his shot to shine in the limelight. The Miz announces one day he will be a box office smash and can be a World Champion, but first he wants to make waves in Chicago on the small screen by becoming a tag team champion and as such he demands that they be placed into the tournament.
Trips smiles and tell's them to not to ask for gigs from him, but to go out there and prove to him that they are worth it - at which point Maryse informs him she's the leading lady of Box Office, and they could always go over the finer details of the contract for the tournament in private, and as it's valentines day - she could even do a private audition with Triple H! Miz and Riley didn't seem to like this casting couch proposition at first, but then they seemed to accept it a little more, when Triple H seemed to actually consider it!*
"The Masterpiece" Chris Masters beat Robbie E by technical submission in 1:45; Masters seemed in tip-top condition and after being on top easily took this match after he applied The Masterlock. The referee did not even wait for Robbie E to verbally give up, just calling for the bell after just a few moments as Master's rag-dolled him; During the match Masters cut an insert-promo in which he challenged anyone from Samoa Joe's Beat Down Crew to show up and face him one on one on Saturday Night Live on the 21st, as a warm-up to his big match against Samoa Joe on Fight Night on the 28th, if they dare.
*a pre-taped promo with Adrian Neville aired in which the 2015 ZG Cup Winner talked about his upcoming title shot against Sean Waltman on Fight Night. Neville says he's not taking any notice of the circus created about the drug tests and even if Waltman is on the gas he will just turn up and be better than Sean Waltman anyway on Fight Night and take the title.*
Kofi Kingston beat Delirious in 6:29 after a streamlined, cut back performance in which he removed several of his famous high flying moves from his routine, preferring a more striking and mat based attack; Kingston cut a promo in the ring after the match and said he doesn't do anything to please the fans anymore, and what will add to the fans dismay will be when he dethrones their fan favorite Kevin Steen of the Heavyweight Title on Fight Night!
*Cole says he has some breaking news, firstly Box Office ! have been announced as the first official entrants into the #1 Tag Team Contenders Tourney and also Sean Waltman has managed to produce an adequate amount of urine, and say's let's go live to the location. This is getting almost carry-on-esq add's Regal.
A bored Heyman is seen glad his wait his over, while Waltman is zipping up his flys. Waltman says "Yes I have made mistakes in the past, but I absolutely do not believe in, nor do I use performance-enhancing drugs. I am a clean wrestler and I will do whatever it takes to prove this to everyone."
The WADA rep informs Waltman that all samples collected in drugs testing are kept within a safe chain of custody and will be analysed by a WADA-accredited laboratory and he will be informed of the results in due course.
Heyman mouths off again, saying that soon, everyone will know what he knows and that's Sean Waltman is as big a cheat as Lance Armstrong ever was!*
Solomon Crowe beat Bray Wyatt and Jay Briscoe to win the Cyber TV Championship in 10:00 via judges decision; Luke Harper wasn't present in this match, perhaps he's too busy stalking Serena Deeb; Jay and Bray worked Crowe together for all of the match with Mark Briscoe on the outside keeping things straight between those two and Bray seemed to decide that the Cyber TV Title should belong to Jay Briscoe and not him for whatever reasons that we may find out later. Crowe though was resilant and managed to somehow last the distance. Crowe wasn't expected to take the judges vote having taken a beating during the match, so most expected a new champion in Jay or Bray to retain. Solomon Crowe had other ideas though as he crawled over to a corner and grabbed a tablet he had left there and furiously punched in some commands. The judges vote came up with a unamimous result win for Crowe and we have a new Cyber TV Champion!
Bray and Jay look agog while the Judges are confused, seemingly having voted another way than what was announced! It looks like Crowe has hacked the judges decision and taken the win here tonight with some cyber warfare!
