Heavyweight champion: Elijah Burke
Tag Team champions: Cliff Compton & Colt Cabana
TV champion: Michael Hayes
Women's champion: **title vacant**
Commentators: Dean Hill & Gilbert Corsey
Ring Announcer: Scarlett Bordeaux
Interviewer: Terry Boddie
A panned shot of a packed but intimate Davis Arena crowd is shown. The commentators welcome viewers to the show, a special 2 hour live broadcast to kick off OVW moving to Wednesdays on ION affiliate WBNA-TV. Already signed for tonight, matches include ...
- Michael Hayes defends his newly won TV Title vs former champion Eric Locker, Best 2 out of 3 Falls
- Cliff Compton & Colt Cabana defend the Tag Team Title vs Raul Lamotta & The Mexicutioner
- A tournament begins to crown a new OVW Women's champion
- A big surprise has been promised by Director of Authority Jim Cornette
Kicking things off though is your new OVW champion, an unexpected surprise stemming from Best In The World ...
The Pope Elijah Burke! He heads out with the championship, courtesy of cashing in the King of The Valley briefcase on CM Punk at Best In The World. Punk was ready to leave with the title after narrowly defeating Jamin Olivencia, but thankfully Burke was ready and brought it, despite having competed earlier in the night.
Elijah Burke: Davis Arena! I am here tonight to usher in the new era of OVW here on ION TV, and doing so as the new Heavyweight champion! See, CM Punk wasn't the only 1 running around here with an ace up his sleeve. He had plans, but Pope was pimping player, and I had plans of my own if you feel it. I'll give credit where it is due. You did beat Jamin Olivencia clean, in that ring. But you didn't count on me coming out, cashing this thing in, and leaving with the title. And I know you'll have excuses when you come looking for this again, but take my word brother, don't. We did the deed at Retribution, but this is a new Pope. Unlike you, I'm all too proud to be OVW champion. Unlike you, I have no intention of letting this thing go. I went into Best In The World, and I beat the best. This right here, now makes me the best. And if anybody in the back wants to contest it, by all means, feel froggy and jump cause I ain't got nothing but opportunity for ya out here tonight.
And sure enough, from the back comes the rebel group known as The East. Jeremiah Plunkett, Jax Dane, Chase Owens pushing "East Man" out in a wheelchair.
Jeremiah Plunkett: Hold on here haha, hold on. You're joking out here right? You think that right there makes you the best? No, no, no. This (holds up the NWA East championship to booing), this makes ME the best. Unlike you, winning some cheap cash in, I actually went into a match and beat the champion, no excuses. Beef Stew Lou Marconi, he had everybody back in West Virginia running in fear. Everybody until me, when I put his shoulders to the mat. I embarrassed, no, I humiliated him. I made him go cry to his momma, meanwhile here I stand today. I came to OVW, I've put the title on the line against the best, guys like Rob Conway, and nobody can beat me.
Elijah Burke: Funny you say that, because I could swear that in Survival Of The Fittest, your shoulders were pinned to the mat. Yeah, I think so. My memory might be a bit foggy because after winning this, earlier in the night is a bit of a haze. But in fact, yeah. I think I pinned your shoulders to the mat. But you know what? That's ok. That's ok. You want a shot at this right here? You just bring yourself down here and we can do this, right here, right now.
Jeremiah Plunkett: Haha, gladly. Boys, let's do this.
Jax Dane heads towards the ring first with Chase Owens following. Plunkett follows behind as Burke readies for a 3 on 1 fight. Just then from the back comes an interrupting voice, stopping The East in their tracks.
Jim Cornette: Wait a second here, wait 1 second. We're not opening the show like this, our Wednesday night debut on ION. Plunkett, bring it down a notch because if you want that opportunity, I'ma give it to you, but you're gonna have to wait. I'm sure I'm like most fans and I've grown a little tired of you carrying around that belt. I don't think you have what it takes to beat The Pope, so you lose, no big deal right? Wrong. It's not that simple. If you want a shot at the OVW championship, you're gonna put that belt on the line as well. And not only that, but we're gonna hang both belts above the ring for the main event. Elijah Burke, Jeremiah Plunkett, 1 champion, in a ladder match!
Burke likes that as the fans cheer. Plunkett looks at his belt, having to consider the risk he could lose his trophy piece. Dane psyches him up saying he can do it. Plunkett starts nodding and looks to Cornette, saying he'll do it.
Jim Cornette: Alright, it's settled then. Burke and Plunkett tonight and we're going to have 1 champion. No more of this NWA East champion stuff.
Jeremiah Plunkett: Mr. Cornette, that's where you're wrong. The East is just getting started haha.
The show goes to break with a new main event set. Elijah Burke vs Jeremiah Plunkett in a ladder match with both the OVW championship and East championship hanging above, 1 man leaves with both belts.

Ryan Howe vs Aaron Sky
While they wrestled in the dark match before Best In The World, this was Rockstar Ryan Howe's chance for revenge against Aaron Sky in front of not only the Davis Arena crowd, but everybody watching at home. It was roughly 2 months ago that the seductress Shelly Martinez influenced Sky to turn on Howe, using Sky's own insecurities to get into his head. That done, no sign of Martinez tonight, having left the area a week or so ago. Sky would get the upperhand in this match after a hot start for Howe and step outside to the apron for the springboard splash, but Howe managed to get his knees up to catch Sky. He then rolled him into the Fujiwara armbar submission, getting Sky to tap out for the win.
Ryan Howe defeats Aaron Sky @ 5:49 via submission to the Whammy Bar.
After the match, Sky jumped Howe as he was celebrating the win. Sky began to kick away at the downed Howe when from the back came Robbie Walker! Sky looks like he has seen a ghost here as his former tag team partner in The Skywalkers gets in the ring. Clearly he is not a fan of the work done by Martinez, what about Sky though? We find out where Sky stands as he extends the hand and immediately enters apology mode as Walker enters. The fans are chanting "no, no, no" to Walker, but he steps in to seemingly accept. Sky though tries to get in a cheapshot with a kick, but Walker was ready for it and catches it. Sky starts begging off and backtracking. Howe gets up at the ropes as Walker spins Sky and lifts him up into an atomic drop. He bounces into a right hand from Howe before dropping to the mat, rolling outside, and retreating to the back. Looks like The Skywalkers are officially no more as Robbie Walker is back from injury.

Ringside interview w/ Christian Mascagni
From the back comes Christian Mascagni, attorney at law, complete with neck brace courtesy of the Muscle Buster from Samoa Joe 3 weeks ago. The Fan Advocate Terry Boddie is standing by to ask about his injuries. Mascagni says that he fully intends to file suit against not only Samoa Joe, but Ohio Valley for creating the environment. They are liable for what happened! But that's not why he's here. He's here because while Elijah Burke parades around the champion, not 1, but 2 of his clients are contractually owed a rematch. Rudy Switchblade from when he lost the title back in March, and CM Punk from when he was robbed a week ago. Forget the normal protocol. Punk won't be back in 3 months or whatever, he will be exercising that rematch clause on Saturday May 2 at the next Saturday Night Special! So too will Switchblade. Triple threat, 2 singles matches, whatever. They both deserve their shot and they will both get it!
Women's championship Tournament First Round match:
Ray Lynn vs Seleziya Sparx
Despite the reputation often times of being clueless for lack of better term, Ray Lynn has had momentum of late, most notably a victory over Seleziya's fellow A Lister Taeler Hendrix. Tonight though, the test was much bigger against the muscle of the group. Lynn did manage to throw Seleziya off early with some of her more unorthodox tactics like avoiding lockups in favor of twerking, and then managing to get Seleziya down to the mat and delivering a butt butt to her face. Seleziya was through with the games however and started making the comeback. Finally she bent Lynn over into position. She then lifted her up into a powerbomb, but held her there and spun around to build momentum before driving her down into the mat. The referee went down and counted 3, giving Seleziya the win to advance to the second round in the tournament.
Seleziya Sparx defeats Ray Lynn @ 4:31 via pinfall after the spiral bomb.

Backstage segment w/ Stuart Miles
The Pastor of Disaster is in a darkened room. He says that it is time for Ohio Valley to pay for their sins. The first sin is pride. Somebody in Ohio Valley will pay for their indulgence. And with that, into the light steps the returning Altar Boy Jade Dawson.
Nick Dinsmore vs Chase Owens
The rivalry between Mr. Wrestling and The East continues here today, as does the ascent of Chase Owens, although he is facing his toughest test to date since arriving in Ohio Valley against Nick Dinsmore. Owens would push out "East Man" in the wheelchair, leaving him seated at ringside. The match starts off with a good exchange as Owens impresses. Dinsmore ups his game to keep up and maybe teach him a thing or 2. The action continues with Dinsmore eventually managing to get Owens into position for the Cloverleaf, but Owens would instead kick him off. Owens took control, but Dinsmore would not go down easily as he had the fans in his corner. Building the comeback, Dinsmore would go for the clothesline, but Owens ducked. When he turned around, he was greeted by the vision of Owens spinning around into a discus elbow smash to the face. The Roaring Elbow connects and Owens goes down to cover as the referee goes down to count the 3.
Chase Owens defeats Nick Dinsmore @ 6:18 via pinfall after the Roaring Elbow.
After the win, "East Man" gave a nod, at which point Jeremiah Plunkett & Jax Dane emerged from the back. Owens had no idea what this was all about as Plunkett told him to back down, this had nothing to do with him. Dane then produced a cinder block from under the ring. Plunkett brought Dinsmore to the corner, draping his surgically repaired knee around the ringpost. Dane picked up the cinder block, but Owens was outside stepping in the way. Plunkett however just pushed him aside from behind, allowing Dane to smash the block into the knee. Dinsmore was in noticeable pain as Rob Conway raced out from the back. Dane stood in the way, but Conway was more concerned with Dinsmore than going after the group. As they left, Plunkett ordered Owens to leave with them. He was reluctant, but "East Man" with a simple wave of the hand had Owens falling into line.

Ringside interview w/ Heidi Lovelace
From the back comes the new NWA World Women's champion Heidi Lovelace. Terry Boddie asks about the feeling of finally acheiving the ultimate goal any wrestler has. Lovelace says that it was a long road to get here, and a loss at the Great American Bash last July had her questioning if she had what it took. The actions of AJ Lee over recent weeks and months though brought out a new side to her, allowing her to look inside and find what it took to get to the top. Just then, a woman emerged from the back in a hockey mask. Neither are sure what to make of it, at which point she removes the mask and says that Lovelace may have beat AJ, but she is the true definition of crazy, Crazy Mary Dobson, and she's here to claim her shot at that title. Lovelace tells her to get in line, prove herself, and she will get it. Dobson says she will prove it and Lovelace will live to regret that request.
Best 2 out of 3 Falls match for the TV championship:
Michael Hayes (c) vs Eric Locker
Rematch time from Best In The World with the stakes raised. Michael Hayes captured the TV championship from Eric Locker of The Blacklist in a submission match. Tonight though, the rematch is Best 2 out of 3 Falls as Director of Authority Jim Cornette wants to settle who is the better man. A note is the status of Ram Jam Jon Ramser, who suffered a mild ankle injury at the hands of Locker 2 weeks ago, to be addressed later by OVW physician Dr. Asa Andrew. He will be out of action for a period of time.
Fall #1
Hayes starts the match on top with Locker going on the offense. The challenger would eventually resort to desperation tactics as Hayes went for a DDT. Locker's counter was to scoop out the champion's legs. The follow up was to simply remove the prosthetic and throw it aside. As the referee went to get it, Locker stomped the ankle. The referee backed Locker off as he gave Hayes time to get the prosthetic back on, but the damage was done. Hayes had trouble getting up, allowing Locker to go on the offensive. Shortly after, he lifted Hayes up into the electric chair position and dropped him down, driving him back with a German suplex. Dean calls it one of the more devastating moves in OVW as The Hurt Locker connects and Locker covers for the 3 and takes the first fall.
Eric Locker defeats Michael Hayes @ 8:05 via pinfall after The Hurt Locker.
Fall #2
Despite a 30 second break, Hayes' ankle was still a source of problems. Locker immediately focused his attack on it as he continued to work away on the leg. The champion would briefly get the upperhand as he held onto the ropes as Locker sent him in and went for a clothesline. As Locker regained his balance, Hayes charged with a clothesline. The champion went for the Liberty Lock submission, but Locker managed to roll outside for a breather.
-- commercial break --
Back from break and the match is back in the ring with Locker once again in control. After a T Bone suplex, he would go for the ankle lock, but Hayes was able to get to the ropes and draw a break. Locker ignored the referee and went to grab it again regardless. The ref drew him back, but Locker went in again. This time Hayes delivered a forearm to the face as Locker went for the ankle. With Locker stunned, Hayes quickly came in and hit the jawjacker, enough to keep Locker down for a 3 count. With the pin, Hayes evens up the score of the match at 1 fall a piece.
Michael Hayes defeats Eric Locker @ 6:25 via pinfall after a a jumping jawjacker.
Fall #3
Despite getting some recovery time, Hayes was right back at Locker. After some more offense and hitting a back body drop, Hayes dropped down and put Locker into the Liberty Lock submission. The challenger resisted tapping, and even managed to roll Hayes into a pinfall, getting a 2 count before Hayes rolled back into the seated position. Locker then rolled them as he tried to get to the ropes. Inches away, with his last grasp, he reached out and got hold of the bottom rope for the break. As they got up, Hayes came in and went to send Locker across to the ropes, but Locker stopped, reversed and pulled Hayes into a rock bottom. Hayes blocked it and broke free with elbows. He then ducked behind going for a neckbreaker, but Locker got away. As they turned, he kicked Hayes in the midsection and hit a gutwrench suplex. From there, he would lock in the ankle lock. Hayes avoided tapping. He would get to the ropes, but Locker managed to pull Hayes back to the center of the ring and hooked his legs, dropping down, really putting it on. Hayes reached for the ropes again. A slow crawl ensued before he finally got there, but Locker refused to break. It was Ram Jam all over again as the referee gave a 5 count. Locker ignored, instead getting up and jerking Hayes back to the center of the ring. Hayes turned to his back, curled up and brought Locker down into a small package. The referee went down and counted 3.
Michael Hayes defeats Eric Locker @ 5:52 via pinfall with a small package. Hayes retains the TV championship.
Locker immediately pops up and tries grabbing Hayes as he rolls out to the floor. The referee exits and hands him his championship belt. Hayes puts Locker to rest and the former champion will have to go back to the bottom of the ladder and climb back up if he wants another shot going forward.

Hour #2
Kicking off the second hour, the all too familiar tune starts. "The Time Is Now" begins! The fans go wild. Is the NWA North American champion John Cena here?!? He was promoted a couple weeks ago but a failure to confirm the appearance led to Jim Cornette announcing it was off. Was a late agreement reached??? No. Instead the fans boo as out steps Rudy Switchblade, joined by Shiloh Jonze of The Blacklist. Cornette is out to join on commentary for this and says it's no secret that Switchblade has been running down Cena for months and tonight was Cena's chance to respond to the Davis Arena fans, offered the opportunity to come here but no response from his camp. A mild disappointment to say the least but the show goes on and it looks like they will all have to pay as it will probably only further boast Switchblade's ego.
Rudy Switchblade: Oh what? You were expecting somebody else? Please, haha. You all should have known better. John Cena's not a man. John Cena's a joke. He's a coward. This all started back at Starrcade. I went in there, and I stole the show from him. I went extreme and I outdid Super Cena's hardcore performance that same night. I called him on it for weeks, months. And then finally he gets the chance to come here, a public standing invitation for almost 2 months in place. What happens though? Silence. No reply. Some NWA champion, supposed to represent everywhere or some line like that. Clearly he doesn't and would rather just hide out and face guys that don't deserve the chance. You think he cares about any of you? Not a chance. He's not about you fans, he's just about himself. He was OVW at 1 time, but that's a long time ago. Maybe once, Cena had guts, but those days are gone. Today? John Cena fears Rudy Switchblade. I know it, he knows it, and now all of you out there know it. And you know what Shiloh? Go out there and ring that bell. I want to make this official. I challenged him, this is a match, and I want it recorded right now that he didn't show up. He forfeited like the coward he is.
Shiloh heads out and rings the bell. He then starts a count along with Switchblade that gets the fans chanting along just for the hell of it. 8. 9. 10! Shiloh instructs Scarlett Bordeaux to announce it, albeit reluctantly.
Scarlett Bordeaux: Your winner, by forfeit, Rudy Switchblade.
Shiloh grabs the mic away after that very unenthusiastic announcement.
Shiloh Jonze: The winner is the uncrowned North American champion, the greatest wrestler in the world today, the leader of the almighty Blacklist. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, Rudy Switchblade!
The fans boo as Shiloh gets into the ring and raises Switchblade's arm in victory. Shiloh then gets down on his hands and knees and starts bowing in an "I'm not worthy" kind of way. Cornette on commentary calls all this pathetic.
Rudy Switchblade: Now that I'm 1-0 against the king John Cena, I want to turn my attention to a more pressing situation. That being the OVW Heavyweight championship. Cornette, I see you there at commentary. I'm owed a rematch from a month ago. I'm owed a rematch and like my legal representative said earlier, I want that rematch on Saturday May 2. Elijah Burke is a joke and an undeserving champion. And just to show it. I see he has his little ladder match later on, and I already beat John Cena out here, but I want more. I want to show everybody just who I am. I want the internet buzzing. So I'm calling out anybody from the back, any former OVW champion back there. Come out here right now, take me on.
Cornette stands from commentary.
Jim Cornette: I'm kinda glad you went there. You won't be, but I am. See, you're out here running your mouth about John Cena knowing he's not here. He might not be here tonight because like you said, there was no reply from his representation to come here when we tried for 2 months to book him, but we will work on getting him here in the future, and after this display, I can't imagine he won't jump at the chance next time it comes up. But see, I said last week that I was working on something bigger, something better than John Cena. And that man is here and he is in the back. So you wanna say you're 1-0 against him, go ahead. But you wanna call out any former champion? ANY former OVW champion?
Rudy Switchblade: That's what I said. I don't care. Rob Conway, Flash Flanagan ... Jamin Olivencia. Hell, CM Punk! You back there? Haha.
Jim Cornette: Yeah, that's hilarious. You know haha, I'm actually laughing. Not at that, but I am laughing at you because what you don't know is that backstage tonight is somebody that held that title. A man that is on a break from shooting a new movie he has coming out, in fact you might have heard of it. James Bond. There's only been about 25 of them, but I think it's pretty well known. That's right, Davis Arena, some of you may know him from his time here as Leviathan some 15 years ago. Please put your hands together for the 1, the only ... Dave Bautista!
Davis Arena is going crazy as the music hits and from the back comes the once OVW champion under the Leviathan name, now a major motion picture star. Switchblade and Jonze did not expect this as Bautista is back here for 1 night. With his signature sense of style, he is rocking sunglasses and a pink polo t with jeans. He takes the mic from Scarlett, giving her a quick look over as if mentally planning his post show night on the town before he heads into the ring.
Rudy Switchblade: Hold on here-
Dave Bautista: I'm sorry? You know I was back there just now and I heard you calling out any former OVW champion in the building. ANY former OVW champion. Well I bet you weren't expecting me, haha. You do know who I am right? Speechless or ... ?
Rudy Switchblade: Yeah, I know who you are. What is it, Drax or something?
Dave Bautista: OH! OH! Oh, that hurts. That hurts. That stings. You know if you're going to try and be funny though, maybe do a little research first. Yeah I played Drax The Destroyer. #1 movie in 2014. These fans know it. They all saw it! Maybe you should get out a little more. Focus less on wrestling cause let's face it, it's not working out too well for you anyway. I don't remember ... you know, I don't even know who the hell you are period!
Rudy Switchblade: My name is Rudy Switchblade. Former OVW champion, show stealer at Starrcade, winner of the Surivival of The Fittest, and now 1-0 against John Cena.
Dave Bautista: Don't get confused. I wasn't asking you who you were. I don't care who you are. And this guy, who's he? 1 of the elves from The Hobbit?
Shiloh Jonze: I'm Shiloh Jonze!
As Shiloh takes the unorthodox move of stepping up into Bautista's face, the much larger man just shoves him down with ease to some laughs, sending him rolling to the floor. Switchblade backs up.
Dave Bautista: Anyway, as I was saying. Let me just get this right, you're saying you just beat John Cena? Called him out, he didn't show? I got news for you pal. Your little self proclaimed win by some half ass forfeit, I've beat him. Legit. I've pinned his shoulders to the mat. And you know, I didn't come here to wrestle, that's behind me ... but you know what? What the hell! You and me, right now! It won't take long anyway.
Bautista takes off his pink polo t and throws it down, slapping the mat and challenging Switchblade, but he instead just exits the ring to booing.
Rudy Switchblade: Give me a second here. I already beat John Cena tonight. I'm 1-0. If we do this, we do it evenly. You wrestle a match first like I did. Shiloh, go get him!
Shiloh shakes his head no. Switchblade starts to psych him up though. He tells him he can do this! That's Bautista, but he's Shiloh Jonze! He's a former OVW Tag Team champion! Shiloh starts buying into it, and finally slides under the bottom rope and charges right into a spinebuster slam from Bautista. The actor motions for Switchblade to join them, but he is hesitant to get in there, dare it be said he's scared according to the commentary. Finally Bautista turns his attention back to Shiloh. He picks him up and bends him over. And with that, he lifts him up and slams him into the mat with the Demon Bomb as known to longtime fans here, the Bautista Bomb to the rest. The fans cheer as the music hits and Bautista goes to the corners, getting them psyched up with a 1 time special appearance. Switchblade is on the outside, getting the scraps of his Blacklist teammate Jonze as clearly this outing did not go as planned for them.

Medical Minute w/ Dr. Asa Andrew
New segment as OVW's physician is standing by in the training room. He discusses the injury suffered to Ram Jam Jon Ramser, saying he will be out another month or so after the actions of Eric Locker 2 weeks ago. He explains how the ankle lock works, the force exceeding the natural limits of the joint, spraining the ankle. If this happens to you, use the RICE approach. Rest, ice, compression, and elevation. With that, should be back and ready to go in about 6 weeks.
Paredyse vs Dylan Bostic
A renewal of a big rivalry that closed 2014 with both wrestlers coming off big wins at Best In The World this past Sunday. Paredyse picked up a big win in a Dog Collar match over Chris Silvio, while Dylan Bostic took the nod over Trailer Park Trash in a Hardcore match that saw TPT endorse Bostic in the post match. The action starts with a small minority of fans in the corner of Bostic in a dueling "Let's go Paredyse", "Let's go Bostic" chant. The 2 go back and forth until Paredyse starts to take the upperhand. After working him over, Paredyse would send Bostic into the ropes for a dropkick, but Bostic managed to hold on to send him instead crashing to the mat. Bostic hit an elbow drop to get a quick 2 count. He started to take control and put Paredyse into a sleeper to wear him down. At this moment, from the back comes Silvio & his valet Mary Jane. Silvio lifts up the apron and pulls out a table as Bostic has the hold applied. Silvio slides the table into the ring under the bottom rope. He gets into the ring as referee Jordan Barker confronts him. Silvio just shoves him over as he calls for the bell.
Paredyse fought to a no contest Dylan Bostic @ 5:38 when Chris Silvio interfered.
Silvio then tells Bostic to release Paredyse as he has it from here. Bostic lets go and steps back as Silvio sets up the table. He then pulls Paredyse up and yells at him that he robbed him of vengeance on Sunday, but it's his destiny. Mary Jane eggs Silvio on as he ducks him down and readies to powerbomb him through the table when Bostic suddenly steps back in and turns Silvio into a right hand. Bostic makes the save! He sends Silvio into the ropes and catches him with a back body drop. As Bostic turns back to him, he readies but finds Silvio having rolled out to exit the ring. Silvio & Mary Jane retreat but it would seem their issues with Paredyse are far from settled.

Ringside interview w/ The Wild Boyz
From the back comes The Wild Boyz, EFD Eddie Diamond and The Party Starter Bud Dwight. Terry Boddie asks about Diamond's night with "la puta" and where that stands with her having left? Diamond says good riddence and if he wants to see any more of that, it's not like it's all that hard to find. Now with that behind them, they are ready to go after the Tag Team Title. Dwight continues that whether it is Cliff Compton & Colt Cabana or Los Rudos, Raul Lamotta & The Mexicutioner, whichever team wins later tonight, be ready for The Wild Boyz because they are coming for them. It's time to get the party started, and 2015 is going to be their biggest party yet!
Women's championship Tournament First Round match:
Josette Bynum vs Taeler Hendrix
Earlier tonight, Seleziya Sparx advanced to the second round, and here comes the chance for fellow A List member Taeler Hendrix to join her. Big challenge though as this tournament has brought back some familiar faces, firstly the multi time OVW Women's champion Josette Bynum! The commentators say that some may know her under other names, whether Sojourner Bolt or Josie, but no matter the name, she is still the same threat. She provides a good challenge early for Hendrix, leaving her to go on the run for much of the match. As Bynum would have her in the ring, she would Irish whip Hendrix and charge in. Hendrix moved as Bynum hit the corner hard. She turned and was met with the roundhouse kick to the head. Hendrix covered and scored the 3, proving that was all she needed here today. She joins Seleziya in the second round, but still more action in the weeks to come.
Taeler Hendrix defeats Josette Bynum @ 4:22 via pinfall after a roundhouse kick.

Tag Team championship match:
Cliff Compton & Colt Cabana (c) vs Raul Lamotta & The Mexicutioner
The luck of the draw in round 1 of Survival of The Fittest paired tag team partners Cliff Compton and Colt Cabana against each other, with Compton coming out the winner. While unsuccessful in the 6 way scramble match, now we find out if any lingering effects are there as the 2 have to team in a defense of their Tag Team Title against former champions Raul Lamotta & The Mexicutioner. As with earlier, no sign of Shelly Martinez tonight, gone from the area. The match begins with Cabana controlling Lamotta, before Compton requests the tag to show his partner how it's done. An exhibit of problems with the champions is on display as they seem able to get the job done, but more interested in being in the spotlight at the expense of the other. Eventually this catches up with them as Compton makes a blind tag of Cabana, leading to a disagreement. Cabana shoves Compton, leading to Compton firing back with a right only for Cabana to duck. Compton heads into a charging spear from The Mexicutioner and a cover. Nearly a 3 before Cabana kicks Mexicutioner to break it up. The challengers double team Compton, but he begins making a comeback on Lamotta. He sets up for the Cliffhanger, a springboard tornado DDT, but as he goes to the corner, Cabana tags himself in. He comes in and schoolboys Lamotta for the 3 and the win, much to the surprise of Compton.
Tag Team champions Cliff Compton & Colt Cabana defeat Raul Lamotta & The Mexicutioner to retain the title @ 6:17 when Compton pinned Lamotta after Cabana hit him with the Colt 45.
After the match, the referee hands them their championship belts, though they seem in no mood to celebrate as Compton wants to know what that was all about. Cabana says it was the same thing Compton did to him earlier. While not an all out implosion here, there are clearly underlying issues in the team that are bubbling under the surface. They survived tonight with the title intact, but walked a fine line as the former champions nearly capitalized on the 1 mistake with the spear by The Mexicutioner.

Ringside interview w/ Timmy Danger & Melvin Maximus
The 2 are out to speak with Terry Boddie. Danger says he isn't sure what kind of games that Jim Cornette is playing here, but he had a valid contract with Marcus Anthony that said he had control of his match making. Seems like a call to everybody's favorite lawyer Christian Mascagni could be coming, but they might not even need him first. They aren't going to run and hide, but instead take on the problem head on. At the next Saturday Night Special, it will be Mr. Marvelous vs Marcus Anthony 1 on 1, and by the time he's through with the so called Black Zeus, none of it will matter. It won't be about whether or not Anthony can legally wrestle, it will be about whether or not he can physically wrestle, period.
Ladder match with both the OVW and East Heavyweight championships hanging above:
Elijah Burke (c) vs Jeremiah Plunkett (c)
The first test of new OVW champion The Pope Elijah Burke could prove to be his last. All the talk of NWA East champion Jeremiah Plunkett comes to a head tonight as he finally gets his opportunity to become the OVW champion. 1 man will leave with both championship belts as they will be hung above the ring in a ladder match. The rules of course state that the first man to climb the ladder and pull them down is the winner. The obvious wild card here is the presence in the building of fellow East stablemates Chase Owens & Jax Dane. Earlier in the show, they took out Nick Dinsmore with a cinder block to his surgically repaired knee. It shows Plunkett will stop at nothing to get his way.
With both belts handed over and hung, Plunkett jumps Burke before the bell. As the rung is being raised Plunkett quickly tries to grab at them, jumping to no avail with them out of reach and only getting higher. Plunkett then goes back to Burke and begins choking him on the mat. He then kicks him out of the ring and goes out to the floor on the other side. He takes a ladder and folds it up, sliding it under the bottom rope. The man is not paid by the hour here and is wasting no time. As he sets it up, this could be over in a hurry. Plunkett sets it up as Burke gets back to his feet on the floor. He starts a climb, but Burke gets in and grabs him to pull him back down to the mat. Burke delivers a couple right hands before sending Plunkett into the ropes and guiding him back with his own momentum, square into the ladder. Burke then folds up the ladder and places it in the corner. He takes Plunkett and Irish whips him directly into the steel. Burke simultaneously goes out to the apron and as Plunkett hits, climbs up top, grabbing the ladder and jumping off to drive it down, sandwiching Plunkett in the process.
Burke gets up and sets up the ladder. He starts to climb, but Plunkett is up to his knees. He gets to his feet and pushes the ladder over, sending Burke crotch first onto the top rope. Plunkett folds up the ladder and then places it down on the mat. He grabs Burke and brings him in, suplexing him over onto the ladder. Plunkett then gets up and motions to the back. What's this about? Through the curtain steps The Vanilla Godzilla Jax Dane and things could be getting interesting here as we take 1 final commercial break.
-- commercial break --
Back from break and Plunkett is still in control with Dane only outside, having not interfered in the match. Plunkett works over Burke some more, before calling in Dane. Plunkett has Dane grab 1 end of the ladder as he grabs the other. They wait for Burke to get up with the plan being to charge at him. Burke however ducks the ladder. They stop and turn around. They take only a couple steps forward before a dropkick from Burke into the ladder sends it crashing down on top of them. Burke picks up Dane first and sends him into the ropes, hitting a clothesline. Dane goes down and gets up in the corner to take a running double high knee to the chest. This drops Dane and sends him rolling out to the floor. Plunkett however is up and hits Burke from behind. He then goes to send him into the ropes, but Burke reverses and then catches Plunkett with a flying forearm smash. Burke then sets the ladder back up.
As Burke starts to climb, Dane shoves in a second ladder under the bottom rope. Dane gets in and grabs Burke's leg before hitting him in the back. He then starts a climb up the other side as Plunkett gets up and goes to the other ladder. Plunkett sets it up side by side as Burke and Dane start trading punches at the top, preventing Pope from getting the 2 belts. Gilbert wonders what would happen if Dane just went into business for himself and grabbed the 2 belts? Is he the champion? Dean says he's not sure as that situation has never happened before. That aside, Plunkett starts climbing and gets to the top. Plunkett then starts pushing on the other ladder, trying to knock it over. Dane asks what the hell is he doing, all the while Burke steps over to Plunkett's ladder and shoves the original ladder over to send Dane crashing down into the top rope. Plunkett gets his hands on a title but Burke hits him. Burke then sets up for what could be a huge move. Superplex off the top of the ladder! Plunkett fights it. Burke counters and instead grabs Plunkett by the back of the head, smashing him face first into the ladder. He then steps up, Plunkett in grasp, driving down into the mat with a modified Elijah Experience, sitout facebuster, that leaves Davis Arena standing and both men down.
This is truly anybody's match. Both are slow to get up, Burke first. Plunkett goes for a right but Burke counters and sends 1 back. They repeat. Burke is now on the offensive. He sends Plunkett into the ropes, but Plunkett reverses and catches him with a big right hook. Burke goes down, Plunkett goes down again. Dane however is up and gets back in. He sets up the ladder under the titles. He goes over to Plunkett and assists him to get up faster. Dane shoves Plunkett into the ladder and tries getting him to climb. Plunkett starts, albeit slowly. Dane uses his strength to push him up a rung. Burke gets up, but Dane redirects his attention. He prepares Burke for his signature spinebuster into the second ladder. He sends Burke into the ropes, catching him and turning, but Burke counters it into a DDT! Dane is down and out, but Burke is not fairing much better. Plunkett meanwhile is up at the top. He reaches clumsily, just batting the belts around. If gets a firm grip, it's over. Burke climbs the other side. Plunkett finally has both belts, but Burke is up there and headbutts his opponent. Plunkett lets go, dazed. Burke then pushes Plunkett, sending him crashing down to the mat. He reaches up, unhooks the belts. Burke wins, Burke is still OVW champion.
OVW champion Elijah Burke defeats East champion Jeremiah Plunkett @ 14:45 in a ladder match, pulling down both championships.
The Pope stands at the top of the ladder holding both championship belts. Not only has he won, but finally we don't have to hear anymore about this NWA East championship from Plunkett. An important win for not just him, but the company. Burke heads down the ladder where the referee officially raises his hand in victory. Help is out for Plunkett as they pull him over to the side. Burke looks down and then up to the crowd, just shrugging his shoulders and laughing. Suddenly though the cheering of the crowd turns to anticipation. Dean shouts "Elijah, behind you!". Burke has no idea as he turns around and ...
... WHAM!
... RUDY-KO!
Rudy Switchblade takes out the reigning OVW champion with his jumping cutter move, a second victim on the night. With Burke down, Switchblade reaches down and grabs the OVW championship. He holds it up as the crowd starts booing. A big night for Burke, but a big night for Switchblade as well, and clearly his intentions have been made clear. Gilbert points out that Switchblade pinned Burke at Best In The World, this would certainly have to make him a favorite for the next chance. Will lightning strike twice? And with that, Director of Authority Jim Cornette is back out.
Jim Cornette: Ok, you made your point. You know, here's what I don't get. You go out there, you win Survival of The Fittest, you even won the OVW Title a couple months back. Through it all though, you keep pulling crap like this and what you were out here doing earlier. But you know what, I hear you loud and clear. So on Saturday May 2, the next Saturday Night Special, it will be Elijah Burke defending that Heavyweight Title against Rudy Switchblade ... AND against CM Punk! And you can thank your scum lawyer for that. Everybody knows that's a big night, Mayweather vs Pacquiao, and we're doing something unique here. 2 million buys for that later that night, well we're going to take the Special and we're 1 time only putting it on iPPV to give fans something to do beforehand. Based on the magnitude of the main event of The Pope defending the title, it will sell out, turn hundreds away at the door, and have people all over the world wanting to see it. So you order the Special at 7pm, you got the boxing right after. If you're getting together with friends, make it an all night affair. Get your money's worth instead of some boring undercard you could care less for. Elijah Burke, Rudy Switchblade, and you won't have to wait 3 months or whatever because CM Punk will compete again on May 2. Heavyweight Title on the line! ... oh and before I forget, that's not a triple threat or a 3 way dance. It's going to be a Fatal 4 Way because somebody else deserves a shot too! Somebody else is owed a rematch. The former champion, JAMIN OLIVENCIA!
And with that, the fans go wild as from the back comes the former champion. Almost forgotten in all this, he's right back in the thick of things with this appearance to make his intentions known. Switchblade is owed a rematch from the March SNS. Olivencia is owed a rematch from Best In The World. Punk is owed a rematch from Best In The World. And they'll all get it on the same night! Gigantic news to go along with the first ever Marcus Anthony vs Melvin Maximus singles match. A reminder for next week. OVW TV moves to Wednesdays at 10pm here on ION affiliate WBNA-TV, and if you can't wait until 10pm? Make sure to be live in the Davis Arena, doors at 7pm. Big things happening here, and next week, it continues as we head towards May 2 and the next Saturday Night Special. You won't want to miss it. For Dean Hill, Gilbert Corsey saying so long.
Websclusive match #1:
Randy Terrez defeats Jason Lee @ 4:36 via pinfall after a corkscrew moonsault. The return to Ohio Valley of Texas native Randy Terrez. A knee injury put him on the shelf for a long time, but he has fought his way back and will get the opportunity to impress tonight. His opponent is veteran Jason "The Man" Lee. Terrez impresses in the contest, able to fly with a lucha influenced style. The end comes with Terrez positioning Lee by the corner. He then heads up to the top rope and delivers a corkscrew moonsault. He covers and picks up the 3 for the win. Terrez is back and with showings like this, the wrestlers in the locker room are definitely taking notice as websclusive commentators Terry Boddie & Michael Titus did.
Websclusive match #2
Rump Thump & Elvis Pridemoore defeat The No Class Connection @ 5:51 via pinfall after Rump hit Leon Shelly with the Rumper Stumper and put him away. Prior to the match, The No Class Connection lived up to their name as Deonta Davis called out their opponents to tell them that this was not the movie Trading Places, and Rump Thump needs to get back to his roots while Elvis needs to realize he ain't from no hood. Elvis took the mic and told them that might call themselves no class, but they all ass! This got to Davis & Shelly, but it wouldn't matter. Big win for Rump & Elvis. Boddie wonders if we could see more outings from them as a team. Titus just replies that it's an outrage he's even here right now! He's the lead announcer here, he should be on the main broadcast, and he intends to confront Dean Hill & Gilbert Corsey on the next edition of OVW TV!
