Dean Hill | Gilbert Corsey | Scarlett Bordeaux |
Gilbert Corsey and Dean Hill welcome viewers to the broadcast.
Dean Hill: Batten down the hatches because tonight is the night. John Cena, The Prototype himself, the NWA North American champion, finally returns home!
Gilbert Corsey: That's right Dean. Special enforcer outside the ring for the OVW Title match when The Pope Elijah Burke faces his toughest challenge to date in the leader of The Blacklist, Rudy Switchblade. You can feel it in the air tonight here in Davis Arena that 1 way or another, something big is going down there.
Dean Hill: Shiloh Jonze & Eric Locker, or anybody else for that matter, had better think twice if they want to show their face in that match.
Gilbert Corsey: Also tonight, first time ever! Jamin Olivencia & Marcus Anthony as a tag team, OVW's own Mega Powers, but they have their work cut out for them. On 1 hand, the opposition is Timmy Danger, maybe finally to get his after all his meddling over the years, but then on the other you have 350 pounds of Mr. Marvelous Melvin Maximus, Dean. Nobody on the roster has pinned this guy, it goes without saying that nobody has made him submit, and Danger may not even need to tag in to win that match. And speaking of Olivencia, what will his answer be to Global Force Wrestling and Jeff Jarrett's offer? He's had 30 days to think about it. The clock strikes midnight here to decide.
Dean Hill: And then we build the cage! I can't wait for this one. The Ironman Rob Conway and Jeremiah Plunkett ... no way in for The Sons of Chaos ... no way out for Plunkett! He's gonna get his, you can bank on it.
Gilbert Corsey: Alright, and needless to say, a whole lot more, but let's not waste any more time. To the ring we go as our ring announcer Scarlett is standing by for the introductions to our opening match.

Robbie Walker | Aaron Sky |
Former Tag Team champions are at war! An up and coming unit until an injury sidetracked Walker to put him on the shelf to end 2014. In the meantime Sky developed an attitude change that was brought full circle when he was lured to the dark side to join up with Raul Lamotta & The Mexicutioner and turn his back on fan favorites Rockstar Ryan Howe & The Wild Boyz. As Sky changed his ways, Walker watched on but would eventually return just after Best In The World. Sky did all he could to avoid him, even going as far as to not show at the last SNS on May 2, leaving his partners high & dry. Tonight though, the running stops. Or at least in theory.
Immediately at the bell, Sky tries running but Walker grabs him. The early going is basically Walker handing out a beating to Sky while he begs off. Eventually the begging does pay off as Sky has enough time to get a thumb to the eye. From there, he takes control of the match, choking Walker and doing anything he can to get the advantage and keep it. A sleeper spot slows things down as Sky yells for the referee to check Walker's arms. After going down twice, Walker gets the crowd support to hold it up from dropping a third time. Walker fires off some elbows to the midsection to break free and start a comeback. Walker has Sky where he wants him as he readies for the superkick. Sky gets up and Walker fires off, but Sky knows his partner well and steps back. Walker lands and Sky yanks back first into the mat by his hair. He heads to the apron and readies to springboard back in. He jumps up to the top rope, using it to springboard at his opponent, but Walker gets the leg and blasts Sky with the superkick. He goes down as the referee counts the 3. Walker wins! The fans show their support as Walker gets his revenge here tonight. Gilbert says you can now officially close the book on The Skywalkers as the last chapter is written, while Dean remarks on another book, and that being no sign of Raul Lamotta or The Mexicutioner here tonight, and what will Sky's reaction be to that given the problems that group has been having of late?
Robbie Walker defeats Aaron Sky @ 7:31 after a superkick.

Rump Thump | Stuart Miles |
The Pastor of Disaster has always had a desire to punish those he feel go against his righteous ways. Shortly after Best In The World, he chose to target the 7 sins, starting with Rump Thump and what he feels was the sin of pride. Joined once again by Altar Boy Jade Dawson as The Congregation, the 2 jumped Rump and laid him out. The Thumper got some revenge though on the May 13 edition of TV when he distracted Miles and allowed for deaf wrestler Ram Jam Jon Ramser to score an upset win, his first since arriving last fall. Miles is in search of a rematch, going so far as to offer $2,500 of his Church's donations fund, and then $5,000, both offers rejected. Tonight though, it's about Rump Thump's change at revenge in the ring.
Before the match even gets going, Miles has another offer for Ram Jam. He has with him a bag of money. $7,500 from his Church's donation funds. The good people have put this money forward because they want to see Ram Jam get his. He awaits a response. As the match gets going, Miles retreats to the floor several times early to stall as he consults with the Altar Boy, maybe devising a plan. Rump finally gets his hands on Miles, but the advantage does not last long as Miles complains of something to the referee, allowing Dawson to slide in and hit Rump from behind and slide back out undetected. Miles declares a miracle as he's suddenly perfectly fine and starts to work away on Rump. He chokes him, warned by the referee at which point Dawson takes over by choking him behind the referee's back. This rule breaking brings out Ram Jam. Dawson backs off as Ram Jam chases him, eventually out of the ringside area and through the crowd. Miles watches on, but the match is in hand. He goes to send Rump into the ropes, but it gets reversed and as Miles shoots back off the ropes, Rump Thump leaps posterior first, connecting with the butt butt move known as The Rumper Stumper. He covers and gets the 3. Rump celebrates the win with the fans as Ram Jam comes back out. Dawson is out to comfort Miles, just in time to get a hearty no from the pre match offer. Miles is incensed that Ram Jam would turn down so much money for a rematch, and the fans further get under his skin with chants of "Stewie".
Rump Thump defeats Stuart Miles @ 6:25 via pinfall after the Rumper Stumper.
Backstage Interview
Terry Boddie | Elijah Burke |
Backstage, The Fan Advocate Terry Boddie is joined by Heavyweight champion Elijah Burke. Big test tonight against the leader of The Blacklist, and the question on everybody's mind, does Rudy Switchblade have The Pope's number?
Elijah Burke: "When I won this title, I vowed to take on all challengers. Anybody, anywhere, any time. When Jeremiah Plunkett wanted his shot in the ladder match, I gave it to him. And I won. When Jamin Olivencia, CM Punk, Rudy Switchblade, 3 former champions, each owed a rematch, they all got it at once, Pope didn't back down. They got their opportunity. And I won. Now I'll be the first to admit, it won't be easy. Survival of The Fittest, he pinned me to win that thing. Tag team match, a month later, he pinned me again. Where I won't give credit is the Saturday Night Special. He hit his RudyKO, but I won the match. That's part of the game brother, and you lost. And where I won't give credit is TV 2.5 weeks ago, right before I was scheduled to defend against Chris Silvio, he attacks me from behind and hits his RudyKO. From behind is 1 thing, but tonight is face to face. Tonight is 1 on 1. It's not a 6 way elimination, it's not a tag team match, it's man to man. You want this right here? Well tonight, you're gonna find out first hand that Pope ... is ... pimping."

Paredyse | Ryan Howe | Shiloh Jonze | Eric Locker |
A tag team match made on the final TV before the SNS, both sides paths have crossed a couple times on TV. It is the story of mutual respect here between Paredyse & The Rockstar that brought them to here, coming off a 1 on 1 match. The commentators wonder if it could be the start of something? It goes without saying The Blacklist team have an advantage here, having not only teamed before, but both wrestlers started their initial training under Buddy Wayne out of the Pacific Northwest.
Howe gets the better of Jonze early on before Paredyse comes in. His unorthodox style frustrates Jonze as he tags in Locker. The former TV champ has the same problems with Paredyse, leading to him getting Locker on his hands and knees and pretending to ride him like a horse. The time for fun was over though as quick tags followed on Locker. Jonze however would manage to catch Paredyse with a kick to the back of the head as he hit the ropes, falling into Locker's arms and a T Bone suplex. The Blacklist team takes control of the match on Paredyse, some revenge for earlier with Jonze specifically enjoying the punishment he is dishing out. He tags in Locker and tells him to hit the Hurt Locker. He lifts Paredyse up into the Electric Chair, but in dropping Paredyse down, instead of a German Suplex from Locker, we get a Victory Roll and a 2 count for Paredyse. Getting Paredyse goes for a kick that Locker catches, followed by an enziguiri. Both wrestlers go down. Locker tags Jonze first, but before he can get to Paredyse, the hot tag comes to Howe. He comes in and starts working Jonze. Locker gets back in, but takes some for his troubles. Paredyse gets back in and all 4 are going at it. Locker and Jonze end up Irish whipped into each other. The referee tells Paredyse to get out as Howe drops Jonze with the Whammy Bar, a Fujiwara armbar submission. Locker kicks him off, bringing Paredyse back in to give Locker a right hand. With Locker down, the referee goes to force Paredyse out again. Howe heads to the middle rope, waiting for Jonze to get up and hit the Chart Topper, a Blockbuster DDT. Locker however gets over on the apron and shoves Howe off as he steps to the top rope, flipping down to the mat. Jonze quickly covers. The referee counts as Paredyse gets in to break it up, but too late. The Blacklist will get the win in this match, and maybe not the last we will see of them tonight assuming they are willing to test special enforcer John Cena in the OVW Title match.
Shiloh Jonze & Eric Locker defeat Paredyse & Ryan Howe @ 9:48 when Jonze pinned Howe after Locker shoves Howe off the top rope.

Challenger Mary Elizabeth Monroe | Challenger Rebel | Champion Taeler Hendrix |
After AJ Lee vacated and later destroyed the OVW Women's Title as part of CM Punk's grand scheme against the company, it left a huge void to be filled. Not wanting to let them win, a new belt was made and a tournament ordered. The finals came a month ago with Monroe against Hendrix, with Hendrix coming out the winner and new champion thanks to a handful of Monroe's tights. Monroe bounced back to get a rematch for the belt, but a tag team match with them saw her partner Rebel pin Hendrix. OVW officials acted quickly and turned the match into a 3 way. Unimpressed with how she first won the belt, tonight Hendrix will be put to the test, but does as always have her A List associate Seleziya Sparx in her corner.
The match starts out with Hendrix immediately leaving the ring. She tells the other 2 they should fight first to decide who rightfully gets to take her on, she should not be forced to defend against 2 challengers at the same time. Monroe and Rebel eventually do just that, starting a quick exchange of moves. After hitting a suplex on Rebel, Monroe goes for the cover but Hendrix steals a page out of the Elijah Burke playbook last month by hitting Monroe and trying to take the cover, but only gets a 2 count. She quickly slides back out, checking with Seleziya to see if she ruined her hair. Monroe follows her out though and goes after Hendrix, but Seleziya gets in the way. Hendrix laughs, but does not see Rebel coming from in the ring with a dropkick through the ropes onto her. Hendrix gets thrown back in the ring and she is now at the mercy of the 2. They get in some double teaming, but invariably the time comes to decide. Monroe grabs Hendrix to put her into the Rainbow Cross, but Rebel turns Monroe and says she should get the pin. The 2 argue and eventually come to blows. Hendrix tries to steal a pin during this via a school girl on Monroe but Rebel breaks it up. The finish comes with Hendrix going down. She appears hurt as the referee goes over and physician Dr. Asa Andrew is out to check. Meanwhile Monroe gets Rebel into the Rainbow Cross! Seleziya sees the referee is distracted and hits Monroe from behind before throwing her out of the ring to the floor. She then grabs Rebel, lifts her up and drops her with the Spiral Bomb. She exits as Hendrix quickly bolts from the corner to cover Rebel. The referee makes the 3 count and Hendrix steals another win to retain the title. She jumps up and down after the win as Seleziya comes in, before remembering and starting to sell the ankle injury again. The commentators both feel Monroe has been again short changed here, but she will have her day.
Women's champion Taeler Hendrix defeats Mary Elizabeth Monroe and Rebel to retain the title @ 7:16, pinning Rebel after interference by Seleziya Sparx.
Backstage Interview
Terry Boddie | Jeff Jarrett |
Backstage, The Fan Advocate Terry Boddie is joined by Global Force Wrestling owner Jeff Jarrett. Tonight is the night for a decision from Jamin Olivencia on whether or not he accepts the offer to join GFW.
Jeff Jarrett: "Let me make this real clear Terry Boddie. I'm a business man. My days in the ring are winding down. Now 10 years ago, 5 years ago even, I'd be the centerpiece of all this. But it's 2015. I need to look to the future and beyond. I want Global Force Wrestling to become the premiere destination in the entire world for professional wrestling. I want it to be Major League Baseball, the National Football League, the NBA, everything, all rolled into one. But to do that, we need the building block. I need the future, but I need the future today. I need the future now. Jamin Olivencia can be that future. He can be that man. See, I don't just envision Jamin competing for me, no, no. I envision him competing the world over, representing the Global Force brand. And I can think of no better way than to see Jamin Olivencia, World Heavyweight champion. You come with me, that's a given. I can make that happen. Let me clarify, we can make that happen. But you need me Jamin. You need me to give you the opportunity. The opportunity that Ohio Valley hasn't and quite frankly won't. You lost to CM Punk! And you lost again in the 4 way. Too many names outrank you here. In Global Force though Jamin, you'd be my #1. My go to guy. Think about it Jamin because time is running out. I want that answer and I want it tonight! I just hope for your sake, you make the right choice."
Loser Gets Caned match
VS | ||
Dylan Bostic | Flash Flanagan |
Flash returned to OVW this year with a purpose. Make Bostic pay in the absence of long time friend and 1 time tag team partner Trailer Park Trash due to suspension. Trash himself would seek out that revenge after the suspension was lifted at Best In The World, Bostic even earning his respect in the process. Flash however saw things differently and decided to cane TPT and leave him laying, feeling he had grown soft. That followed with a similar attack at Bostic at last month's SNS. Bostic would return though and now the grudge match is set. More than just the match though, it is about punishment. The loser will receive not 1, not 2, but 10 lashes from the kendo stick.
The match starts out with Flash trying to start the festivities earlier, but it is just a straight 1 on 1 and using the stick would be a DQ. Bostic takes some punishment early on from Flash with a tremendous size difference, unable to get much going. Bostic would mount several comebacks, but each time Flash would manage to cut them short with his many years of experience over his younger opponent. Flash bodyslams Bostic and heads out to the apron, hitting his slingshot somersault senton. He covers, but Bostic gets a foot on the ropes at 2. The commentators put over Bostic's never say die mentality, a key reason fans are getting behind him. Flash argues the count a bit and allows Bostic to get in some shots and start making a comeback. Bostic finally takes Flash off his feet with a dropkick. As Flash gets up, Bostic gets behind him and jumps up to bring him back with the jumping double knee backbreaker, but Flash avoids it and turns to send Bostic falling back into the referee. He goes down as Flash pulls out a pair of brass knuckles. What's this? He goes to hit Bostic, but Bostic kicks him instead. He grabs the knux and nails Flash to cause him to fall front first into the ropes, bouncing back into the backstabber, this time connecting! Bostic covers as the referee rolls over and makes the count.
Dylan Bostic defeats Flash Flanagan @ 6:52 after the backstabber.
Bostic wins the match and Flash must now take 10 lashes from the kendo stick! The referee raises Bostic's arm in victory, but in doing so, he sees the brass knuckles. The ref questions him while Bostic protests his innocence as Flash brought them in. No sell though. The referee reverses the decision! He raises Flash's arm as he gets up, still groggy. The commentators are not even sure Flash has any idea what has happened here. Bostic can't believe it, and must now take 10 lashes from the kendo stick. Flash gets the cane as fans boo and starts smiling, this is all he really cares about anyway. He tells Bostic to take the punishment like a man. Bostic turns his back to Flash, bracing himself. Flash seems impressed by this. He goes and turns Bostic telling him something. He offers a hand! Has Bostic earned Flash's respect? Bostic goes to shake it, but Flash pulls back and laughs. He quickly winds back and brings the kendo stick down, straight across the head of Bostic.
It begins. Bostic goes down with the first strike. Flash laughs, yelling for him to get up. Bostic gets to a knee and stands, immediately taking strike #2 to go back down. On his hands and knees, Flash laces in with strike #3 ... strike #4 ... strike #5 ... strike #6. He is relentless here. Flash tells Bostic he's a boy in a man's world and to stay down. Bostic is stirring though. He gets to the ropes and starts pulling himself back up! Flash can't believe it. Bostic gets up and turns to take strike #7 and go back down. Flash again yells to stay down! Bostic has too much heart though. He again gets to a knee. The referee steps in, but Bostic pushes him back. He stands up as Flash loos at him for a second before strike #8. Back down. Stay down! Even the commentators agree, as much as they hate to. Gilbert asks what is there to gain? Dean sums it up in 1 word, respect. Flash pokes Bostic with the kendo stick as if checking for movement on a dead body. Bostic stirs and grabs the ropes and stands, but falls over. He crawls towards Flash and is at his feet. He starts using Flash to pull himself up. He gets to his knees at which point Flash shoves his head away. Bostic looks up as Flash can't believe this. But he is callous ... strike #9! Bostic falls face forward. He has his hands in a push up position. He gets back to his knees, blood trickling down his face, looking back up at Flash. Bostic yells to hit him! Do it! Flash doesn't seem to want to anymore. He shakes his head no. Bostic yells though to be a man and do it! Flash then winds up and hits ... strike #10! Bostic goes down as Flash throws down the kendo stick and leaves, seemingly upset that Bostic not only took the punishment, but earned respect in the process. The referee calls for help for Bostic. Dr. Asa Andrew is back out with some assistants and a stretcher. They bring it into the ring to load Bostic on, but he shoves it away! He yells for them to all get away! Ray Lynn is out in non wrestling attire, Bostic's real life partner. She checks on him. Bostic wants to do this on his own though. He gets to the apron and stands. Lynn helps him walk to the back.
Tag Team championship match

Cliff Compton | Colt Cabana | The Wild Boyz |
Problems between Cliff Compton and Colt Cabana could jeopardize the Tag Team Title for them tonight. Their attempts at out doing each other eventually have way to a non title loss to the Wild Boyz on TV. After Cabana took a 1 on 1 win over Compton at the last SNS, the problems only got worst, coupled with the arrival of Country Jacked. The rematch for the title was ruined by Country Jacked's interference, leading to Cabana offering The Wild Boyz a rematch tonight. Compton didn't seem to care for that and responded by setting up a non title match himself with Country Jacked for the last TV. The champs lost due to a partial miscommunication, and they had better get on the same page fast if they hope to retain tonight.
As the match begins, the commentators are joined by Josh Ashcraft on commentary. Ashcraft says that Country Jacked have other commitments tonight and are not here, but rest assured he will do the scouting for them. Dean calls that a crock and says they are probably just waiting in the back to ruin the match like they did last time. Early on, both teams trade the advantage. The champions seem to be on the same page, but as Gilbert notes, early on has never been the issue for them in these matches. Finally they isolate Party Starter Bud Dwight from a tag, with both working him over. Compton seems to be taking a rougher approach than Cabana, Ashcraft says that just shows he wants the win more. Compton has trouble putting Dwight away and tags Cabana in, telling him he booked the match, he can win it. Cabana sets Dwight up with a double underhook, looking for the Colt 45. As he lifts him up though, Dwight kicks back down and breaks free. He scoops out the legs and slingshots Cabana into the corner. Both wrestlers look for the tag. Cabana gets to Compton, but his partner tells him instead to prevent the tag across the way. Cabana turns and races to Dwight, but it's too late as EFD Eddie Diamond takes the hot tag!
Diamond comes in and starts to take control of the match, delivering rights and sending in Cabana for a dropkick. He is fired up as Compton simply watches on. Dwight comes back in and they hit a double back body drop. The Wild Boyz head up to opposite corners in tribute to The Rockers and hit a double flying fist drop! Diamond covers, but Compton comes in to break it up, immediately heading out, despite Dwight being ready for more. The ref goes to get Dwight out as Diamond brings up Cabana, at which point Compton comes back in and grabs Diamond, turning him into a DDT. Cabana is in a haze, but covers as the referee now goes to get Compton out. Mr. 1859 argues though, allowing Dwight the time to come in and reverse them. Now Diamond is on top as the referee turns around to count. Compton realizes too late as Diamond gets the 3! The Wild Boyz win! New champions! Compton seems pissed at this development and considers going in, but instead just drops from the apron and heads to the back. The Wild Boyz meanwhile celebrate the win as Ashcraft on commentary just says that title win is on borrowed time once Country Jacked get their chance.
The Wild Boyz defeat Tag Team champions Cliff Compton & Colt Cabana to win the title @ 10:37 when Eddie Diamond pinned Cabana.
Backstage Interview
Terry Boddie | Rudy Switchblade |
Backstage, The Fan Advocate Terry Boddie is joined by Rudy Switchblade. Tonight you get your chance at the title, but as we learned Wednesday, John Cena is here and will be the special enforcer for your match.
Rudy Switchblade: "Is he? I haven't seen him yet, have you? You remember the last time Super Cena was supposed to show up here? That's right, nothing! The man's a coward. He's afraid of Rudy Switchblade. The last thing he wants to do is show up here and give me a shot at his NWA North American Title because he knows I'd win. I'd expose him for the fraud that he is, and all these fans would know just what kind of a washed up, second rate, has been that John Cena is in 2015. After the injuries, after the glory days, some 14 years since he first walked into the Davis Arena. But don't worry. See, Elijah Burke is here! Unlike Cena who had some smarts, Burke thinks he can actually beat me. Are you kidding me?! I beat you at Best In The World. I beat you again 3 weeks after that. The only reason you won the title is because of some stupid briefcase, and the only reason you're still champion is because of me! I took out Jamin Olivencia last month with the RudyKO. Tonight, there's no Olivencia, there's no Punk. There's just you and me, and this time, I'm taking you out Burke. After the RudyKO, it will be 1 ... 2 ... 3. Your new OVW champion, Rudy Switchblade!"
TV Title match
VS | ||
Challenger Michael Hayes | Champion Chris Silvio |
A change in plans on the May 20 TV led to a planned defense by Elijah Burke against Chris Silvio turning into a defense for Michael Hayes after some taunting by Silvio, and some help from Rudy Switchblade taking Burke out. Silvio won the match and the title thanks to help from The Blacklist, a similar outcome in the rematch this past TV with Hayes taking a DQ win when The Blacklist interfered again. Tonight though, the commentators theorize that Silvio might be left to his own abilities with The Blacklist having other problems to worry about, namely John Cena. If Hayes is to win back the title, this may be his best opportunity at getting a fair chance.
Silvio spends much of the early match stalling. Hayes wants to get this going, but clearly this is a part of Silvio's strategy. Hayes eventually gets fed up and heads outside of the ring to take it to Silvio. He brings him into the ring and Silvio spends the early portion taking offense from Hayes, before finally catching him charging into the corner with a boot to his face and a clothesline. Silvio shows little regard for the rules as had become his trademark of late. He settles on the leg of Hayes, continuing his idea from this past Wednesday. The commentators point out that by taking out the leg of Hayes, you effectively render his offense to the mat since it makes use of the prosthetic leg limited as well. Silvio throws Hayes out to the floor, just to get reprimanded by the referee to give Mary Jane the chance to interfere, kicking Hayes as he is down. Silvio heads to the apron as Hayes gets up. He jumps up, springboarding off the ropes, leaping back into an Asai moonsault. Silvio gets back in as the ref counts, nearing 10. Hayes just beats it back in.
Silvio kicks Hayes some more as he heads up top. Hayes stands as Silvio flips off the top for the Dragonrana, but Hayes counters into a powerbomb. Silvio is down and Hayes immediately goes to the Liberty Lock! The modified Anaconda Vise is applied as Silvio reaches out to the bottom rope. That or tap out! Silvio finally gets there when Mary Jane pushes in the bottom rope for him. Hayes gets up and could complain but wastes little time, bringing Silvio up to DDT him. A 2 count follows. Hayes continues with the offense, looking for the jumping jawbreaker to the knee, but Silvio blocks it. Hayes crashes into the mat as Silvio falls back to the corner to gather himself. Hayes gets up and turns, getting blasted with the Psychodelic Superpunch. Silvio covers and will get the 3 count for the win. Silvio retains the TV Title. Mary Jane is in with the title belt as he lifts it up in the air. The commentators make mention of the OVW Title shot he won and is still owed, wondering if Silvio could end up going for a second title with Hayes out of the way?
TV champion Chris Silvio defeats Michael Hayes to retain the title @ 9:03 after the Psychodelic Superpunch.

Jamin Olivencia | Marcus Anthony | Melvin Maximus | Timmy Danger |
2 names dominated the OVW Title scene in 2014, Marcus Anthony and Jamin Olivencia. Anthony was forced to sit the first quarter of 2015 after a dispute with then manager Timmy Danger, replacing him with Melvin Maximus. Anthony's contract with Danger expired April 1 and the former champ made a comeback, leading to a 1 on 1 showdown between him and Maximus at the last SNS. While Anthony did escape the bear hug, it was at tremendous cost as he not only lost the match, but injured his ribs. After Anthony cost Maximus a chance at a title shot, Team Danger wanted the rematch, but Anthony wanted a shot at Danger himself in the ring. In stepped Olivencia, clearly not having forgot what the manager put him through last year. The team is being dubbed OVW's Mega Powers, will they explode night 1?
Olivencia starts the match with Maximus, having little success. Anthony heads in and the battle of the big men is on. Anthony manages to get the better, bringing Olivencia back in. Olivencia however gets caught coming off the ropes with a bodyblock, instead getting slammed to the mat. After Maximus works him over, Danger finally heads in, delivering some half ass offense. Maximus is back in and readying for the bear hug. He locks it in as Olivencia struggles to keep from submitting. This move made Anthony submit last month, but Olivencia is fighting it. He can't break the grasp, but biting the bald head does the trick! Olivencia gets off some right hands and eventually looks to the Standing O, but instead ends up right back in the bear hug. Maximus drives him to the corner as Danger wants the tag to finish this. The manager comes in with a lazy cover, but Olivencia gets the shoulder up. Danger quickly goes for the tag, but Olivencia gets the leg, he drops back into a leglock, bringing them over as he tags Anthony!
Anthony enters and Danger has nowhere to go. Maximus steps through the ropes, but Anthony rushes him. They exchange some blows, and a running shoulderblock sends Maximus falling back into the ropes, ending up in the old school heel Andre spot, his arms wrapped up between the middle and top ropes. Danger begs, but Anthony has no mercy. He starts hammering away, Maximus struggles to free himself. Anthony sets up for the Gamma Punch on Danger, but Maximus frees himself. He hits Anthony with a Vader attack, but Olivencia gets in. He ducks Maximus' clothesline and instead hits his leaping 180 degree turning clothesline. Maximus is rocked as Olivencia leaps into the bodyscissors, this time hitting the Standing O as Maximus rolls to the floor. Danger is on hs knees begging. The crowd chants "Gamma punch, Gamma punch" as Anthony looks to them. He grabs his ex manager. Puts him the front facelock. Suplex over, bringing the right fist down into the head as Danger hits the mat. Anthony covers, getting an easy 3 for the win.
Jamin Olivencia & Marcus Anthony defeat Melvin Maximus & Timmy Danger @ 10:40 when Anthony pinned Danger after the Gamma Punch.
Anthony stands and Olivencia is there. The 2 shake hands with a successful outing here. Past issues aside, we may have just seen the forming of an unstoppable force between 2 of OVW's best. There is still more though as Olivencia asks for a mic.
Jamin Olivencia: "Now that that's out of the way, let's get down to it. Jeff Jarrett. Global Force Wrestling. You want an answer? You wanna know if Jamin Olivencia is going to sign with you and your little offer of a guaranteed title shot? I got 1 word for you and let me spell it out. N ... O ... NOOOOOOO!"
The fans cheer as Olivencia has rejected the offer from Jarrett. Not what the GFW owner was looking to hear and the commentators wonder what he might have in store as a backup plan now that he has been turned down?

Terry Boddie | John Cena |
Backstage, The Fan Advocate Terry Boddie is joined by NWA North American champion John Cena. Rudy Switchblade has called you out for months now, and tonight you return to OVW to serve as special enforcer in his match. Any thoughts?
John Cena: "Yo, yo, yo, yo. Chill, chill, chill, chill. We 'bout to do a throwback cause we in OVW, original home of The Prototype. Rudy Switchblade, been calling me out for a while now. Sayin I'm all out runnin' scared. But he ain't never come out lookin' for me. It's like he never even cared. And don't even get me started on his Blacklist chronies. Should be called team wannabe. They just like you Rudy Switchblade though. Y'all can't see me! But then you say I forfeited a match or something. Dog, don't be tellin' lies 'bout me! Hey, I'm here right now! OVW is my real family. Enforcer John Cena |
To say Rudy Switchblade has had Elijah Burke's number so far is an understatement, but it has meant next to nothing so far for him. At Best In The World, Switchblade pinned Burke to win Survival of The Fittest, but Burke would later use his guaranteed contract that same night to capture the OVW Title. At last month's Saturday Night Special in the 4 way, Switchblade hit the RudyKO on Jamin Olivencia, but Burke capitalized by throwing Switchblade from the ring and scoring the fall to retain. After repeated challenges, Switchblade's actions got an answer on May 20 when he gave Burke the RudyKO to take him out of his scheduled match that night. But Director of Authority Jim Cornette would later add a stipulation. Since The Blacklist likes to play the numbers game, a special enforcer was named, John Cena! Switchblade's taunts could come back to haunt him, or it could allow him to take the OVW Title right in front of him.
After the introductions of the participants, the intro comes for Cena. The familiar music hits as he heads out to a gigantic pop. Dean says the building can't even contain the ovation for this man. Gilbert adds that the Davis Arena was the start for this man and it has been over 10 years, but tonight, John Cena is finally home. Introduced as an enforcer, he gets into the ring and shakes hands with the referee. He shakes hands with Burke. He turns to Switchblade, who throws up his hands and says alright. He goes in to shake the hand before pulling back to slick his hair and laughing. Cena just nods and exits the ring. The bell rings and the action begins.
The 2 circle before a lockup. Switchblade goes to a side headlock, but Burke counters into a hammerlock. Switchblade grabs around before ducking around and reversing into a hammerlock himself. Burke reaches back, snapmare over. Switchblade gets up and runs into an arm drag takedown. He pops up and runs into another, this time Burke applying an armbar. Switchblade gets up as Burke goes to a wristlock. Switchblade reverses as Burke gets to the ropes. Grabbing the top rope, he flips backwards and reverses, flipping Switchblade to the mat. He promptly exits the ring where he gets face to face with Cena. Switchblade tells him to get the hell out of his way! Cena stands his ground, eventually stepping aside. Switchblade says that's right! He turns to Burke connecting with a sliding dropkick under the bottom rope. Burke picks Switchblade up and hits a couple rights before rolling him back inside. Burke follows.
Stepping inside, Burke goes for an axe handle but gets caught by Switchblade. He gets up and fires a right before shooting Burke across into the ropes. Switchblade drops the head and lifts Burke over to the mat with a back body drop. Burke gets up as Switchblade locks in a side headlock to a takeover. On the mat, Switchblade taunts Cena. The commentators wonder where Switchblade's attention is, with the match or with Cena? Burke fights, eventually getting a leg up and bringing Switchblade into a headscissors. Switchblade does a kip up to free himself and as Burke gets to a knee, kicks him in the chest. He kicks again. Switchblade hits the ropes and comes back with a low angle dropkick. He covers, but only gets a 2. Switchblade argues as Burke rolls to the ropes. On the apron, Switchblade reaches over, taking a shoulder from Burke. The Pope flips in with the top rope to a sunset flip, scoring a 2 count.
As they get up, Switchblade charges with a clubbing forearm. He sends Burke across, but Burke reverses. Switchblade bounces back into a clothesline. He pops up in the corner as Burke charges in with a forearm across the chest. Irish whip across is followed by the running double knee strike, but Switchblade moves. Burke hits and drops down, Switchblade covers but only gets a 2 count. Switchblade now focuses his attack to the knee. He kicks it, slams it to the mat. He then takes Burke's leg and drapes over the neck, wrenching it, stretching out the knee. Burke reaches for the ropes, but Switchblade has a firm grasp. Burke finally uses his other leg to kick out Switchblade's leg. Burke gets up at the ropes but Switchblade is there fast, kicking the back of the knee. Switchblade pulls Burke out and with the leg held up, drops an elbow across it. He stands and repeats, before standing and taunting Cena. He does the "you can't see me" hand wave, which gets Cena's attention as he just nods and says alright.
Burke surprises him though and schoolboys him, scoring a 2 count for a close fall. Switchblade gets up and hits Burke as he gets to his hands and knees. Cena laughs as Switchblade yells at him. He heads over and proceeds to spit at the North American champion. That really gets Cena's attention as he takes his shirt off and steps up to the apron. The ref gets over there, as Switchblade uses the distraction to grab Burke by the legs and bring him over to the ringpost, blasting the knee. Cena tries stepping in, only further distracting the ref as Switchblade takes a chair and strikes the knee. Cena finally steps down and walks over, Switchblade backing off. Cena is in pursuit, sending Switchblade near the entrance at which point he is joined by Shiloh Jonze & Eric Locker! Switchblade laughs as he slides back into the ring. No physicality yet, but the tension is rising as Cena might now be tested by the 2 Blacklist members.
Switchblade grabs Burke and pulls him in, getting quickly small packaged for a 2! Switchblade kicks out and gets up first, stomping Burke. He then grabs the legs and locks in his Walls of Jericho style Boston Crab. Burke tries breaking free but can't. Switchblade yells to tap. Burke raises a hand and seems to consider it. He eventually uses his other hand and pushes up, bringing himself to the ropes for a break. Switchblade goes over to grab Burke but takes a right to the midsection. Burke stands and fires another. He shoots Switchblade to the ropes and drops him with a back elbow. As Switchblade gets up, Burke hits the 4-Up, 3 shots to the midsection and an uppercut. He gets behind Switchblade and delivers a release German suplex. Switchblade is in the corner as Burke charges in and uses the ropes to propel himself up into a turnbuckle handstand and drop down into an elbow drop, the Outer Limitz Elbow! Burke covers! ...

Switchblade kicks out. Jonze & Locker get closer as Cena gets ready. They back off. Burke meanwhile limps to his feet and brings Switchblade to his feet. He positions him towards the middle of the ring and drives him face first with the forward Russian legsweep. As Burke covers, Jonze jumps to the apron and the ref turns his attention away. Cena pulls Jonze off to a pop, but Locker is quickly in as well. The odds are too much but Cena fights it. He hammers back Jonze with a right. Same to Locker! Burke gets up and directs the referee back to the action. Burke turns and immediately takes the RudyKO! Switchblade covers!

Switchblade wins! New OVW champion! No! Burke just gets a shoulder up! Barely at the last possible second and Switchblade can't believe it. He questions the count but the referee says it was a 2. Switchblade says ok, but grabs the referee and threatens him! The ref says it was a 2 as Switchblade tells him to order the bell to be rung. Cena gets on the apron as Switchblade turns his attention to him. He goes to the ropes to pieface Cena, but he ducks. Switchblade turns and gets shoved off by Cena directly back into a kick by Burke. The Pope follows with the Elijah Experience! Burke hits the sitout facebuster on Switchblade and covers ...

Burke wins the match! Burke retains the title! Switchblade kicks out, but it's too late. Cena immediately gets into the ring as Switchblade rolls outside. Cena calls for Switchblade to get the hell back in there, but he is more focused on insisting he kicked out. He demands a replay as he smashes the announcing desk with his first. Dean tells him that the referee's decision is final and that's the end of it! You lost pal! Switchblade shakes his head no.
Heavyweight champion Elijah Burke defeats Rudy Switchblade to retain the title @ 18:29 via pinfall after the Elijah Experience.
Switchblade summons over Jonze & Locker as this is not finished. They surround the ring and take a side as Cena and Burke go back to back. Jonze is in as Cena charges, Locker is in as Burke charges. Burke takes Locker back into the ropes as Cena fires rights at Jonze. Locker manages to duck and send Burke over to the apron. Switchblade grabs Burke and yanks his leg out to smash his face on the apron. Cena meanwhile has Jonze into a fireman's carry, dropping him to the mat with the Attitude Adjustment! He stands over for the Five Knuckle Shuffle, but has Locker charging him. Cena ducks, lifts him up, second AA! Both wrestlers are down side by side as Cena stands, doing the whole "You can't see me!" theatrics, hitting the ropes, dusting the knuckles and dropping 2 fists. Five knuckle shuffle! The fans cheer as Cena stands and turns ...
BAM!
The RudyKO connects! Switchblade is the last man standing! He stands over Cena and proceeds to bend over, waving the hand in front of the face. Switchblade may have lost the match with Burke, but it's looking like he has won the war here tonight with Cena. In his homecoming to the Davis Arena, John Cena has been left laying by the leader of The Blacklist. This is now about far more than any championship and is personal.
Setting up The Steel Cage
Terry Boddie | Jim Cornette |
Backstage, The Fan Advocate Terry Boddie is joined by Director of Authority Jim Cornette. As the Steel Cage gets set up at ringside, Cornette has some business to take care of.
Jim Cornette: "What a night this has been so far. From Elijah Burke retaining the OVW Title to Jamin Olivencia and Marcus Anthony teaming for the first time ever, John Cena returning, even if Rudy Switchblade got the last laugh, lots to celebrate. But, that being said, there's always the next day, and I'm going to talk about that right now. Saturday July 11, OVW will present Futureshock, live on iPPV. While a big card can be expected top to bottom, I can officially announce at least 1 match for the show right now. Last year on TV, we held a 20 man Nightmare Rumble. This year though, we're taking it a step further. 30 men, entering at 2 minute intervals. Elimination comes when you are thrown over the top rope and both feet touch the floor. Not only that, but the winner will earn themselves a future opportunity at the NWA World Heavyweight championship! We know it's held by AJ Styles right now ...
... speaking of which, that would bring us to June 21. Just 15 days away. Bowling Green, Kentucky. Ohio Valley joins forces with Global Force Wrestling for a joint outdoor stadium show. Some name already announced include Styles, the World Tag Team champions The Young Bucks, the World Women's champion Heidi Lovelace, and a name that could be interesting there after what we saw tonight, Jamin Olivencia. He turned down Jeff Jarrett's offer, but this is a joint show, so he will still appear as advertised. We hope to announce the main event on Wednesday night's broadcast ...
... speaking of which AGAIN haha. June 10, this coming Wednesday, our second 2 hour live to air special broadcast from the Davis Arena. That's this Wednesday night on WBNA-TV 21, that's the ION affiliate here in Louisville, and the NWA World champion AJ Styles will be there as well. No match scheduled, but hey, you never in wrestling what could happen? Heidi Lovelace will also be there and this is a match that she personally asked for, 1 on 1 with Crazy Mary Dobson. Also, Tag Team Title changed here tonight, let's do the rematch of that too! The Wild Boyz will defend the belts against Cliff Compton & Colt Cabana. All that plus, and I'm not sure if this is incentive to watch or turn the channel, the much hyped return of The Body Guy. Good lord. So lots happening. You'll want to be sure to keep tuned into Ohio Valley in the weeks to come as we look to make 2015 the biggest year yet for Louisville wrestling."
Steel Cage match

Rob Conway | Jeremiah Plunkett |
Upon arriving in Ohio Valley to form the rebel faction The East, Jeremiah Plunkett immediately started problems with the Ironman Rob Conway. A match at the March 7 Saturday Night Special saw Plunkett beat Conway thanks to outside interference, but a rematch of sorts saw Conway team with Samoa Joe to defeat The East at last month's SNS. In the interim, Plunkett has cleaned house in The East with his new hired guns The Sons of Chaos, replacing Jax Dane and Chase Owens with more than just a rolex watch as a parting gift thanks to the directives of the mysterious "East Man". Tonight though, there will be no Sons of Chaos thanks to a Steel Cage surrounding the ring. It's the war to settle the score as Conway looks to finish this and get revenge for the injury that good friend Nick Dinsmore sustained from the group.
The cage is up, steel fencing that the commentators describe as having the ability to rip flesh off the bone. Plunkett is out first, followed by Conway. No sign of anybody else as the referee locks the door with Plunkett immediately trying to escape at the bell. This is pinfall or submission, no points for escape so Plunkett is out of luck there. Conway grabs him anyway and brings him back in, causing him to fall crotch first on the top rope. Conway shakes it for added effect before Plunkett falls to the mat. Conway brings him to his feet and fires off several right hands before shooting him to the ropes for a clothesline. Plunkett gets to his knees as Conway grabs him by the hair to rake the face across the mesh, but Plunkett gets a thumb to the eye instead. He stands and rams Conway face first into the cage to buy some time. Plunkett taunts Conway as he starts to kick him, stepping on the bottom rope to springboard up and give added impact to the kicks. He drops down and chokes Conway with his hands.
Plunkett brings Conway back to his feet for a right hand. The commentators note that Plunkett is known for having a stiff right with near knockout power behind it. He lifts Conway and slams him to the mat before heading to the second rope. Perhaps mocking Jerry Lawler, Plunkett drops a strap and lowers a fist drop. He covers, but only draws a 2. Plunkett brings Conway up and sets up for a suplex, but Conway blocks and instead reverses it. Plunkett crashes into the mat. As they get up, Conway kicks Plunkett and sends him face first into the cage, a little payback. Conway is not done there though. He sends Plunkett into the adjacent side of the cage. And then again. And then again! Plunkett's face tastes all 4 sides before Conway starts to rub his face into the cage. As he backs off, a close up shows Plunkett opened up. The blood has started, but Conway is nowhere near done. He grabs Plunkett by the legs and then drops an elbow to the knee, focusing his attack as he tells him "This is for Nick!".
Conway brings Plunkett up, lifts him up into a reverse atomic drop, instead dropping him into a sitout powerbomb type move. He covers, but only gets a 2 count. Plunkett crawls for the door, but Conway grabs him by the tights to drag him back. Conway lifts him up and hits a belly to back suplex. Conway grabs Plunkett, but takes a low blow instead. Plunkett stands as Conway is down. He motions for the door to be opened as his face continues to bleed, but the referee informs him it's locked. Plunkett goes back and kicks Conway back down before going to the door and shaking it, as if that will pry it loose. Conway gets to a knee as Plunkett charges in with a right hand. Plunkett clearly wants out, but there's no escape so might as well use the advantage. He picks Conway up and sends him to the ropes, back body drop. He signals towards the cage as now he intends to make Conway bleed. He drags him over and starts to rake the face against the cage and now Conway is opened up. Plunkett could win this!
Plunkett grabs Conway and lifts him up, dropping him with a suplex, followed by a 2 count. He signals that's it. He lifts Conway up and goes for the Gourdbuster, but Conway blocks and instead backs Plunkett back first into the corner. Conway quickly hits a DDT and both are down. And that's their cue. From the back come The Sons of Chaos! Damien Wayne, Phil Monahan. We have seen what they can do. They go to the cage and start shaking it as if it to rip it apart. When that fails, they start climbing. Conway is up and climbs up towards Wayne, and when he gets to the top hits him and manages to knock him down to the floor. Conway jumps to the mat and gives Plunkett a right to drop him before heading back up, this time at Monahan. He is at the top, but Conway manages to push the leg back over and slam his head into the cage, dropping him to the floor. But Wayne is back up and climbing. He is approaching the top, but the fans cheer ...
CHASE OWENS! From the back he emerges and climbs the cage. He starts trading rights with Wayne, eventually hitting him face first into the cage to drop him down. Owens goes back down, and as Monahan stands up, Roaring Elbow! Conway looks on, but turns into a kick from Plunkett. Gourdbuster! Plunkett covers ...

Conway just gets a shoulder up before the 3. Owens takes a chair as Wayne gets up and hits him across the back as he gets sent running to the locker room with Owens in pursuit. Monahan is barely moving as Plunkett looks through the cage to him. He turns back to Conway and grabs him by the head, telling him "don't mess with The East!" and slapping him. He grabs Conway again and tells him "you're outta your element boy!", slapping him again. That slap had little to no effect though. Plunkett backs off as Conway stands up, pissed off. Conway points to Plunkett, who is now begging. A right hand. Another. Another. Conway charges into Plunkett, clothesline! He's dazed as Conway leaps up with a big leg lariat! Haven't seen that in a while. He grabs Plunkett to stand him, suplexes him but drops his feet onto the ropes. This is it. Ego Trip! Conway hits his signature whiplash move and covers ...

Conway wins! Owens returns! And the Davis Arena is on their feet as Black Sabbath's Ironman blares through the building. After 5 long months, Conway finally puts Plunkett in his place. And maybe now he can turn his focus back to his goal. The goal of becoming the NWA World Heavyweight champion. Dean says it's been a long time coming and nobody, nobody deserves a shot more than Conway does. Gilbert agrees as he has been the cornerstone of Ohio Valley for years now. Could the Nightmare Rumble be his opportunity? Will Conway be 1 of 30 names, competing for the chance at a World Title shot?
Rob Conway defeats Jeremiah Plunkett @ 13:54 via pinfall after The Ego Trip.
And that brings us to July 11, Futureshock on iPPV. But before that, June 21 in Bowling Green for the big OVW-GFW joint show. Plus this Wednesday, 2 hours of OVW TV, live. What will happen with World champion AJ Styles in the house!? Tune in this Wednesday at 8PM, WBNA-TV 21. Until then, for Dean Hill, Gilbert Corsey signing off, saying so long until the next time.
