A panned shot of the packed Davis Arena as the commentators welcome viewers to the show. Live to air for the next 2 hours, this is OVW! Last time we came to you on ION with a 2 hour special was April 15 with surprises like former OVW champion & star of Guardians Of The Galaxy Dave Bautista, matches like a Ladder match for the Heavyweight Title or a Best 2 out of 3 Falls match for the TV Title. What is in store for viewers tonight? Already signed ...
- The return to the ring of The Body Guy
- New Tag Team champions The Wild Boyz defend against Cliff Compton & Colt Cabana
- Heidi Lovelace vs Crazy Mary Dobson
- Rob Conway & Chase Owens vs The Sons of Chaos
- Elijah Burke vs Paredyse
Plus, NWA World champion AJ Styles is here! We know he is scheduled for the big joint show with Global Force Wrestling on Sunday the 21st in Bowling Green and we may find out an opponent here tonight. All that as we head towards Futureshock on iPPV on Saturday July 11th and the big 30 man Nightmare Rumble set to headline. Right now though ...
Michael Hayes is headed out to the ring! The former TV champion ws unsuccessful at the Saturday Night Special against Chris Silvio, but Dean makes note that he has nothing to be ashamed of. Gilbert adds that given what this man has been through in life, the obstacles he has had to overcome, there is no reason to doubt that he won't pick it up again in a hurry. He takes the mic.
Michael Hayes: Thank you. I don't want to take up too much time here. You know, the last 9 months or so, I've been on cloud 9. Everything was going my way. Sure, there were the occasional setbacks, but in the end, I persevered and overcame whatever was thrown my way. That's what made losing this past Saturday to Chris Silvio so difficult. I could blame losing the TV Title on The Blacklist, but there was no blaming anybody for that loss Saturday except myself. It feels like for the first time since I returned last Fall, Michael Hayes had to take 2 steps back, and maybe it's time to reassess things around here.
Fans chant of "Michael, Michael, Michael" interrupt him, giving him pause for a moment.
Michael Hayes: Thank you. It means a lot. I've had those that have doubted me, and hell, I've even doubted myself! But the mere fact that I'm standing here today, let alone a professional wrestler, let alone a former TV champion, a former Tag Team champion, it makes me know that I couldn't have done those things without each and every single last 1 of you here tonight. You should be thanking yourselves.
As the fans applaud again, through the curtain steps a familiar face. It's his former tag team partner Ali Vaez. Hayes is surprised to see him, as is most of the building. He has not been seen out here since November after an attack by the then masked turncoat, later revealed to be Rudy Switchblade. Vaez gets in the ring and the 2 shake hands, followed by an embrace. Vaez takes the mic.
Ali Vaez: Thank you. Please, give it up for Michael Hayes! Incredible talent here. Michael, you and me go back a long way now. We've been on both sides of the ring, as both tag team partners and before that, opponents. And I can honestly say, there has never been anybody to step through those curtains with as much heart as you have. It is unparalleled in this business and I just want you to know that. Now the reason I'm here. I overheard what you were saying and let me just say that you need not reassess anything! You are 1 of the top talents in OVW today, you've won more matches than any wrestler in the entire NWA in the year 2015, just keep doing what you're doing.
Hayes thanks him for that as the fans applaud again. Now though, things take on a different tone.
Ali Vaez: Having said that ... I only wish I could say the same for myself. While you speak of the last 9 months for yourself, the last 7 months for me have been a bad dream that I just can't wake up from. I had my knee attacked by a masked attacker that would later be revealed as Rudy Switchblade, and then like a fool, I fought on anyway and in that match, Rob Terry knocked me unconscious with a powerbomb. I can't sleep most nights, I can't eat without feeling sick half the time. I just ...
Vaez fights back tears as Hayes tells him it's ok. Fans start an "Ali, Ali, Ali" chant, but it's quickly interrupted as from the back emerge Rudy Switchblade, Shiloh Jonze, and Eric Locker. The Blacklist are out in full force here as the leader has a mic.
Rudy Switchblade: Well isn't this touching? Michael Hayes and Ali Vaez, 2 men down on their luck. You lost the TV Title, you lost ... your smile I guess? I don't know really. I think the real crime against humanity that we should be thinking about tonight though is what happened to me on Saturday. I should be standing here as the OVW champion right now. The belt should be around my waist! But instead, I have John Cena to thank for that not being the case. I would love to challenge him tonight, but he is of course ... not here. What else is new? So what I want right now is for Jim Cornette to come out here, sign the match, make it official. Rudy Switchblade, John Cena, Futureshock. Give me what I've wanted for months now. I deserve it, and it doesn't matter what you fans think, because I will beat him and show him to be the fraud that he is.
Michael Hayes: I got an idea Switchblade. Cena might not be here, but I am! You and me, tonight! And you bring those 2 goons of yours with you, cause I've been wanting a piece of them too!
The fans cheer, liking that idea.
Rudy Switchblade: Why? Seriously think about that for a minute. Why? You've been fighting me for months now, and where has it gotten you. You heard what Ali said. You're 1 of the best wrestlers here today. But you know why you're not THE best? Me. I'm the reason. You've had your shoulders pinned to the mat 3 times this year. By me, by Chris Silvio thanks to these 2, and by Silvio again thanks to yourself because it's in your head now. See where that's headed? You've got heart, yeah, but where has it gotten you? Stop fighting us. Join us. There's no reason for you to keep doing this. These fans are in your corner now, but I know you've checked the internet message boards. And you know what you read? Nothing. Nothing because nobody cares. They're the reason you're not the TV champion anymore. It's not 1985. The American hero, what you did for this country, sacrificing limb for them and being the sole survivor of an explosion ... it clearly means nothing to them, or you would be OVW champion right now. They don't care. Join us and people will care. They'll care when you take the OVW Title from Elijah Burke and stand at the top of the mountain like you were meant to, but you need our help to do it.
Hayes just shakes his head no as the fans cheer.
Rudy Switchblade: And you Vaez. What about you? Your 7 month nightmare that just won't end. Can't sleep, can't eat, can't drink ... can't wrestle. Can't live. Through all that, how many of these people out here were at your side? Sure, they cheer now, but where were they when you needed them? Where was OVW for that matter? Nobody cared. You were about to what, retire? For them? And then what? You go home, continue not sleeping, not eating. Wake up! It doesn't have to be that way. I care Ali. We care. The Blacklist cares. It's time for both of you to stop fighting against us, and fight with us. We're all fighting the same fight, you 2 just don't realize it.
Vaez looks on as Hayes tells him not to listen. Just then Jim Cornette emerges from the back.
Jim Cornette: Ok, I think we've heard enough of this crap from you. You can stop selling the snake oil cause they ain't buying it and neither are the fans. I'll tell you what I am buying though and that's your little idea earlier. You're right, John Cena, he's not here. But he was never scheduled to be here so don't try and twist this into your little forfeit game again. You want a match with him on July 11 at Futureshock? Normally I'd say no, but see, John Cena approached me after the Saturday Night Special, and he did request that he get a 1 on 1 with you. But here's the thing, I'm kind of an old school guy, and you lost to Elijah Burke.
Rudy Switchblade: Because of Cena! You know it too Cornette.
Jim Cornette: Now hold on. But I'm a fair man. So I'm going to give you the chance to earn the match tonight. Here's the thing though. 1 win in my eyes, that doesn't warrant a shot at the NWA North American championship after a loss. 2 wins? Maybe, but I mean we go back, you lost at the last Saturday Night Special too.
Rudy Switchblade: A 4 way, where I wasn't even pinned! I should have won the damn match! Burke stole the pin from me!
Jim Cornette: Now hold on, I'm getting there. Here's what I'll do. If you can win not 1, not 2, but 3 matches tonight! Then you'll get your match with Cena.
Rudy Switchblade: Are you insane? You want me to wrestle 3 times tonight?! No way. No way.
Jim Cornette: Well then, I guess we can always do John Cena against somebody else. Any ideas?
The fans cheer as Hayes looks to them. Vaez points to him.
Rudy Switchblade: NO! Fine. FINE! I'll do your little 3 match thing. But I want it guaranteed. I want a signed contract for the match. If Cena no shows again, I win, I'm the North American champion.
Jim Cornette: Hey, fine by me. You gotta win first. And then you gotta win again. And then you gotta win a third time haha. And you know, there's 3 wrestlers here tonight, and they've been banging on the door looking for the chance to fight you. 3 men that have some history with you. In fact, 1 of them might be standing in the ring right now. You wanna know who your first opponent is?
Switchblade nods, though Jonze & Locker don't seem to like this idea.
Jim Cornette: Then let's bring him out because the first match is RIGHT NOW!
The fans cheer as through the curtain steps ... Mr. Pectacular himself, Jessie Godderz! Switchblade shakes his head no, but it's too late. His former tag team partner in The Best Team Ever is back and looking for revenge! That match will be after the first break when we return.

Jessie Godderz vs Rudy Switchblade
Former tag team partners collide as Switchblade's night has got very interesting. He must win 3 matches here over the 2 hour broadcast to get the match he is after with North American champion John Cena at Futureshock. Godderz was last seen here back over a year ago, and the last time these 2 wrestled was on the first OVW TV of the NWA era on January 11, 2014 with Switchblade winning. Here tonight though, Godderz has a fire in him and may dash Switchblade's hopes match #1. He takes the early advantage as the ringside area is now empty from possible interference, controlling much of the match. Several 2 counts face Switchblade, but he kicks out each time. Finally Godderz hits the Stunner, sending Switchblade to his back. Godderz covers as this looks to be it, but Switchblade gets the shoulder up just before the 3. The commentators are surprised at the borderline dominant performance here, but then out of nowhere, Switchblade ducks a clothesline and when Godderz turns, he jumps up, driving him to the mat with the RudyKO. Switchblade covers and just like that, the match is over. Switchblade takes match #1, but he will have to do that twice more, and against who? We don't know!
Rudy Switchblade defeats Jessie Godderz @ 6:40 via pinfall after the RudyKO.

Ringside interview w/ The Congregation
Terry Boddie is joined by The Pastor of Disaster Stuart Miles and his Altar Boy Jade Dawson. Another tough loss for Miles at the SNS, this time to Rump Thump. Has the loss to Ram Jam Jon Ramser impacted him mentally? Miles says that 1 way or another, Ram Jam will wrestle him again! Rump Thump is a sinner, a liar, a cheat, it's no surprise he won! But Ram Jam on his best day could not beat him again. He turned down the offers - $2,500, $5,000, and $7,500 - all courtesy of the donations from his followers. But will he turn down $10,000? That's where the offer stands. Take it Ram Jam, because the offer will not be on the table for long. Do you accept - yes or no?
Robbie Walker vs The Mexicutioner
At the Saturday Night Special, Walker successfully pinned former tag team partner Aaron Sky to get revenge months in the making. Tonight though, Sky has signed stablemate The Mexicutioner to extract revenge for him. Sky & Mexicutioner however have not been seeing eye to eye lately themselves. Sky heads out during the match and acts as cheerleader, but Mexicutioner does not want the assistance, nor seem to need it. Regardless, Sky starts instructing Mexicutioner on what to do. He readies to spear Walker, but Sky seems to have other ideas. Mexicutioner has finally heard enough and turns to Sky telling him to get the hell out of here! The fans cheer as Sky can't believe it. Rudo Raul Lamotta heads out and tells Sky to back down, meanwhile Walker is up and Mexicutioner turns into the superkick! He gets knocked from the ring and seems to be out on the floor. Lamotta tries lifting him up, telling Sky to help him, but he refuses. The ref's count keeps going, eventually reaching 10!
Robbie Walker defeats The Mexicutioner @ 5:37 via countout.
Walker takes the match but the bigger story seems to be unfolding outside the ring. Lamotta tells Sky to help him up! Randy Terrez is out to join Walker in case of a 3 on 1 as Mexicutioner gets to a knee and Sky finally agrees, but tries a cheap shot. Mexicutioner catches Sky and grabs the arm! The fans cheer as Mexicutioner is readying to lay into him. Lamotta tries to play the peacekeeper between the 2, but it gets added. Tension broke as from the ring, Terrez comes off the top rope with a twisting corkscrew moonsault that takes out all 3! The fans cheer that as that argument is laid to rest and Terrez stands. Walker seems impressed, and maybe now he can finally move on from this trio.

The Body Guy's return match
Teased for weeks, the moment is finally here. Scarlett is in the ring and makes the introduction off a cue card. "The object of every woman's deepest, darkest fantasy. The envy of every man walking planet earth today. Presenting the 1, the only, The Body Guy." The lackluster enthusiasm is interrupted by the opening vocal section "Don't you wish you woke up with buh-buh-buh-buh-body like mine!"
The Body Guy is back! Last seen at the March Saturday Night Special, unfortunately not the last time as he steps through the curtain as they had hoped, but not alone tonight. Joining him is a rather large individual. Neither commentator has ever seen this man before or has any familiarity with him, but he is big. The Body Guy tells Scarlett to stick around as he takes off his robe. She starts almost vomiting at the site as Body Guy just tells her to get the hell out of the ring.
The Body Guy: Typical. Typical women. They always want what they can't have. Look at you. Just like all the others in the back, salivating at a chance to get with a real man. But guess what? The Body Guy doesn't waste his time with low grade, bottom feeding, ring rats! Don't be offended, you know that's all you are. Me on the other hand? I'm all man baby. And tonight, I challenge anybody from the back to step up and find out what it's like to face the sexiest man alive. Come on man.
Body Guy waits as the muscle with him just shakles his head and says there's nobody back there that will accept. Or is there ...
MARCUS ANTHONY! The Davis Arena goes wild as from the back comes the former champion and The Body Guy looks as if he has just seen a ghost. His jaw drops as Anthony steps in. Body Guy tries back tracking as the ref tells his muscle to get out. Body Guy says no, but it's too late.
Marcus Anthony vs The Body Guy
As the bell rings, Body Guy immediately backs off. He drops to his knees and extends a hand. The fans are not interested in this as Anthony looks to them. He seems cool with it. He shakes the hand but grips with power, forcing Body Guy to his feet. He lets go as Body Guy grabs his hand, charging in with a clothesline. Anthony goes on to dominate Body Guy, toying with him a bit in the process. Finally he locks Body Guy into the suplex position, lifts him up, driving the fist down into the Gamma Punch! Anthony puts a foot in the chest but at 2 takes it off. He's not finishing it this way. Instead he lifts Body Guy up and locks in his full nelson, the Crimson Omen. Dean puts it over as 1 of the more dangerous submissions in wrestling today. There is no escape and Body Guy submits.
Marcus Anthony defeats The Body Guy @ 4:29 via submission to the Crimson Omen.
Anthony lets go and immediately upon the bell, the big man from the outside gets in. He is every bit the size of Anthony as the 2 stand toe to toe, he is not backing down. Gilbert commends the unknown for standing up to the man that held the OVW title longer than anybody in history, Dean following that up either that or he doesn't know any better since he is after all with The Body Guy. Finally the man stands down as The Body Guy requests help getting to the back. Maybe some answers on his identity next week.

Ringside interview w/ Chris Silvio & Mary Jane
Terry Boddie is joined at ringside by TV champion Chris Silvio & his valet Mary Jane. Silvio retained the TV Title at the Saturday Night Special against Michael Hayes, what is next though? Silvio quickly redirects the focus onto Elijah Burke & the OVW Title. He is owed a shot, plain and simple. He earned it. So what does he see when he arrives? Elijah Burke vs Paredyse. The man he beat for the shot. Boddie clarifies that the match is non title, but Silvio wants none of it. He wants the match changed, and he wants the shot he won, not that freak Paredyse.
Silvio's comments bring out Rockstar Ryan Howe, the man that has teamed with Paredyse recently. Howe tells Silvio to just back up a second. He wants to show everybody out here what kind of man he is, fight him tonight and put the TV Title on the line! Mary Jane interjects and says he will do it and beat him! Silvio says to hold on because no woman speaks for him. He has beat Howe before but he will gladly do it again, however the match will NOT be for the title. He doesn't deserve it. Howe asks if he'd scared? Silvio says no but by the time tonight's over, everybody else will be.
Tag Team championship match
The Wild Boyz (c) vs Cliff Compton & Colt Cabana
At the Saturday Night Special, The Wild Boyz captured the Tag Team Title with a win over Compton & Cabana, partners at odds. Tonight they get their guaranteed rematch with the lingering cloud coming from Country Jacked having won a non title match last week on TV. Compton starts the match, but eventually tags in Cabana. Out of nowhere in the middle of the match as Cabana has Eddie Diamond in a front facelock on the mat, Compton just steps down from the apron and unknowingly to his partner decides to leave. Fans get on his case, as do the commentators, but Compton just ignores all of it. Finally Cabana notices, now left in a handicap match. A for effort from Cabana, but in the end, The Wild Boyz were able to finish the match. EFD gets on the Crossfire Crossface and Cabana tries to reach the ropes. However he ends up with little alternative but to tap out, allowing The Wild Boyz to win and keep their title.
Tag Team champions The Wild Boyz defeat Cliff Compton & Colt Cabana to retain the title @ 8:15 when Eddie Diamond made Cabana tap out to the Crossfire Crossface.
After the win, Josh Ashcraft is out with Country Jacked and immediately sends them in! Adam Page & Corey Hollis charge in and start a brawl with Diamond & Bud Dwight. Cabana meanwhile from the outside has a chair and gets back in. Ashcraft quickly yells for his men to back down. The manager is sure to let The Wild Boyz know though that his team is coming for their titles, calling them paper champions until they beat Country Jacked. The bigger story though, Compton flat out walking out on Cabana. What will that mean for the long time friends?

Opponent #2 vs Rudy Switchblade
Per the order of Jim Cornette, Switchblade must win not 1, but 3 matches tonight if he wants the opportunity at John Cena on July 11 at Futureshock. All 3 matches are against mystery opponents from Switchblade's past, match #1 being with Jessie Godderz, former tag team partner in The Best Team Ever. Match #2 though is with a far tougher challenge, Mike Mondo! Mondo was last seen almost a year ago to the day, losing a Mexican Death Rope match to Switchblade after a bitter feud. They pick up right where they left off with Mondo bringing it to the floor and choking Switchblade with cables. The match continues before Switchblade gets the upper hand after a thumb to the eye. He starts working towards the Boston Crab, but Mondo blocks the attempt and instead knocks Switchblade down. As they got up, Mondo started a comeback. He eventually got Switchblade bent over as he went for his running sitout crucifix powerbomb. Switchblade though would manage to instead drop behind Mondo. As he turned around, Switchblade went for the RudyKO, but Mondo blocked it and shoved him into the ropes. He went for a hammering right, but Switchblade ducked. This time as Mondo turned, he was greeted with the RudyKO, putting him away for the 3 count. Switchblade is now 2 for 2 in his quest tonight, but can he win a third time later tonight? He will have to if he wants that match with Cena.
Rudy Switchblade defeats Mike Mondo @ 11:53 via pinfall after the RudyKO.

Hour #2
Kicking off the second hour, it's time. The music starts as out comes the NWA World Heavyweight champion AJ Styles! The commentators say that this is a long time coming and marks the debut appearance of Styles here in OVW. For some history, he won the title off Samoa Joe back in January at Starrcade, having turned back challenges ever since. On June 21, he will compete at the joint show that OVW is having with Jeff Jarrett's Global Force Wrestling. Who will his opponent be? We might be about to find out as Styles takes a mic.
Before he can speak though, the all too annoying intro of "My World" hits as out comes GFW owner Jeff Jarrett! He is in a suit and heads into the ring, applauding Styles. He asks for the mic, which Styles hands over.
Jeff Jarrett: Ladies & gentlemen, AJ Styles! Let's give it up for him! NWA World champion, oh ho, that is what it's all about right there. And you've got it. Congratulations. Now I get you want to maybe give these fans something tonight, but let's not get too ahead of ourselves. Ya see AJ, your match at the show on June 21 down in Bowling Green, it's sort of, ummm, how do I put this? It's changed.
This is news to Styles. He seems surprised by this, upset even that this is the first he's hearing of it.
Jeff Jarrett: Now I know, you know, don't worry about it. It's not a big deal. The title is not on the line, but the man you came here to face, he's out of the picture. I won't even dignify him by throwing his name out. No, no. Instead, June 21st, we've got a new opponent for you. This match is going to sell out, make no mistake about it. And before that, VIP tickets, get autographs with this man right here, and yours truly, the Global Force Wrestling experience! Haha. Gonna be great.
Jarrett nods and puts down the mic as he goes to exit the ring. He hops down and claps his hands a couple of times, psyching himself up. Styles meanwhile picks up the mic as the fans cheer.
AJ Styles: Hold on here Jeff, hold on. So you tell me that on June 21, I'm wrestling 1 guy, I come down here, and now you tell me I'm not, and now I've got a new opponent that I don't know. You working for Dixie Carter again here or something?
Jarrett says ok and heads back into the ring to address these concerns.
AJ Styles: Now if I've got a match on June 21, I want to know who my opponent is. That's 11 days from now. I'm the NWA World champion Jeff. I've got a busy schedule with very little time to prepare. So ... who is it?
Jarrett takes the mic back as from the back comes Director of Authority for OVW Jim Cornette. He saves them the trouble and just asks for a second mic.
Jim Cornette: Gentlemen, I can't tell you what a site this is. AJ Styles, Jeff Jarrett in an OVW ring. Seeing as this is a joint show between Global Force Wrestling and Ohio Valley, I just want to verify this too as I was unaware until now that any changes had been made.
Jeff Jarrett: Hold on here. Don't turn me into the heel or something out here! I want everybody to know I have their best interests at hand. Now the way I see it, yeah, we had signed a match, but you know, whatever. I just don't think it's what these people want to see. I mean you hear AJ Styles' name, you think the big time. You know what I mean? You think the best. A world class wrestler like Styles deserves a world class opponent, and that's why I was brought on board for this show Jimmy. I don't want to step on anybody's toes, but I just wanna do some ... tweaking.
Jim Cornette: Ok, well what do you have in mind? Who is AJ Styles' opponent?
Jeff Jarrett: See that right there, that I don't know yet. I-
Jim Cornette: Now hold on here Jeff haha. You mean to tell me that you've pulled the originally scheduled opponent that we were just about to announce, and you have no replacement lined up? What's going on?
Styles says he'd like to know that to off mic. Suddenly the all too familiar music hits as the fans explode. From the back comes Jamin Olivencia! At the center of issues with Jeff Jarrett, having been offered a chance to jump ship to Global Force Wrestling and a guaranteed shot at the World Title, Olivencia turned him down at the Saturday Night Special over the weekend. Olivencia enters and shakes the hand of Styles.
Jim Cornette: This ring's getting a little crowded now.
Jamin Olivencia: Jim Cornette, there's something that the 4 of us in this ring know that nobody else out there does. See, I was offered the chance to go ahead and just jump over to this start up Global Force Wrestling. Be the center piece. You know, I'm not knocking the idea or anything Jeff, I appreciate the offer, but this right here, this is my ring! This is where I belong! Right here in Louisville, Kentucky! In The Davis Arena! With these fans! You said I would get an immediate opportunity at the World Title if I jumped. No, that's not how I work. I wanted to earn it, so-
Jeff Jarrett: Let me stop you right there. Hold on a minute, oh ho, hold on. Now me and you Jamin, we don't know each other that well. I know Jimmy here real well, I know AJ real well, but I don't know you. I don't know what you're about. But I knew enough to know that I wanted to make you the center piece of Global Force Wrestling. You had shown me character both in and out of the ring, the skill to be a top performer, among many other qualities becoming of a headliner. So yeah, for those out there that don't know, the match for June 21 was signed to be AJ Styles vs Jamin Olivencia, but-
The fans cheer that idea, interrupting Jarrett.
Jim Cornette: Sounds like they like it!
Jeff Jarrett: Jimmy. Please. I'm trying to keep my cool out here. Now the problem is, that was signed when I expected that Jamin would take my offer. I mean you saw the contract. Only a fool would turn that down! And you did. You turned it down. That makes me question that you deserve anything Jamin, least of all a match with the NWA World champion AJ Styles. I think I know a little about promoting this sport. My father was Jerry Jarrett, my grandfather Eddie Marlin. My roots in this business go back further than that entire locker room combined. So I know what fans want to see. They want to see AJ Styles, the World champion, compete with the best. Quite frankly Jamin, and no disrespect, that's not you. Not anymore.
Jim Cornette: Jeff, with all due respect to you-
Olivencia asks for the mic and takes it away.
Jamin Olivencia: You know Jeff, I might not be a name like Samoa Joe. CM Punk. Whoever else you want to throw in that top tier of NWA talent based on the past. AJ Styles, obviously. But me? That's because I haven't had the opportunity Jeff. They've all done a lot in this sport, but the day will come when those names? They're gone. I mean Punk, what's he wrestling, 4 times a year?, if ever again? And you talk about losses, Samoa Joe is just traveling from territory to territory now, dropping matches. Please. You take a step down though from the former World champions, the men that held that title right there and paved the way, and I'll put my name against any of them and what they've done any day of the week. The only difference is that I did it all, right here in OVW! And to these fans, THESE fans? That's what matters to them. They don't want to see you bring in a ... I don't know ... Jeff Hardy. They don't want to see you bring in Jay Lethal. Kevin Owens. The list goes on of guys that could get that shot. The match they want to see, the match they SHOULD see, is AJ Styles ... 1 on 1 ... with Jamin Olivencia!
The fans start a "Yes, Yes, Yes" chant as Jeff looks to them. Styles meanwhile steps up and asks for the mic to speak.
AJ Styles: You know, can I say something here? Finally? Jeff, you and I both know that I didn't get this title by avoiding competition. I got it by walking in the door, taking on the best, and beating the best. And you know that's what I did with Samoa Joe. That's what I did with Jay Lethal. What I did in Japan. What I WILL do with Jeff Hardy and his Personal Demons. Now what would it say, if I come here, these parts, and I don't take on Jamin Olivencia after the match was signed? I don't want to leave that question mark Jeff. And neither do these people. They want to know, just like he said, AJ Styles, Jamin Olivencia, who wins? So I'm going to take this matter into my own hands. June 21, Bowling Green, it will be AJ Styles, the NWA World champion, 1 on 1, with Jamin Olivencia! But kid, and I'm talking to you (Olivencia). Don't think for a minute you're not getting the greatest of all time. It's not some catch phrase, it's fact! And when I come here, I'm getting in that ring, I'm beating you the same way I beat everybody else around the NWA! And everybody here will find out why AJ Styles is the NWA World Heavyweight champion!
Styles steps up into Olivencia's face. The 2 are nose to nose, exchanging some words. Styles then holds up the NWA World Title belt as the fans give a mixed reaction. Jarrett meanwhile is pissed off by this development. Clearly he wanted to blackball Olivencia out of this match after his offer got rejected, but the champion has forced his hand. What a match though! June 21 in Bowling Green, it will be Jamin Olivencia and the World champion AJ Styles, 1 on 1.

Ryan Howe vs Chris Silvio
Earlier tonight, the TV champion Silvio was out, protesting Paredyse getting a non title match with OVW champion Elijah Burke tonight. That brought out the Rockstar, taking exception to some of Silvio's comments, and setting up this non title match. For Howe, a win here would have to put him at the top of the list of challengers, while Silvio looks to continue to impress as he heads towards a chance at Burke and his title. The match starts with some theatrics thanks to Silvio's complaining, finally getting started with Howe taking an early advantage. Silvio manages to settle down and turn the momentum to his favor after reversing Howe into the ropes and catching him with a knee to the midsection. After some more offense, a sleeper attempt followed, but the fans got behind Howe and he made a comeback. After some more offense, he heads to the middle rope in preparation for the Chart Topper, a blockbuster DDT. Mary Jane however distracts Howe. Silvio manages to instead step up to the middle rope and springboard off into a big superpunch that drops Howe to the mat. Silvio covers and gets the 3 as he continues his run. The TV champion then threatens that we have not seen the last of him tonight.
TV champion Chris Silvio defeats Ryan Howe in a non title match @ 6:28 after the Rocketpunch.

Ringside interview w/ Flash Flanagan
Terry Boddie is at ringside with the hardcore icon of OVW, Flash. Boddie brings up Flash winning at the Saturday Night Special on a reverse decision, getting to inflict 10 lashes with the cane onto Dylan Bostic, thus Bostic is not here tonight. Flash laughs and says that's too bad, he was hoping little baby Bostic would come back for more. He proceeds to call Bostic a little whiny ***** and says he needs to go back to sucking on his momma, and leave the wrestling to the real men. Boddie says the comments are uncalled for, but Flash just asks who's gonna stop him? There ain't nobody here that's gonna dare get in his way, not after what he did. Now that he's done what he set out to do, he can relax a bit around here, but don't think for a second he's disappearing. Whether it's Elijah Burke, Jamin Olivencia, Rob Conway, he'll beat anybody that they throw at him. And why? Because he is Flash Flanagan, the hardcore icon.
Heidi Lovelace vs Crazy Mary Dobson
And speaking of hardcore, that could be where things are headed. Crazy Mary Dobson has repeatedly called out the NWA World Women's champion Heidi Lovelace, finally getting her attention for this non title match here tonight. Dobson however is not here to wrestle, she's here to fight. She takes the match out to the floor quickly and uses the barrier to her advantage. Lovelace may be out of her element here tonight as Dobson brings it back inside, facing chokes from Dobson, hair pulling. Dobson goes outside to get a chair, but before she can use it, the referee grabs it to take it away. As he does that though, Dobson takes out powder and throws it into Lovelace's eyes. The champion is blinded as Dobson continues to work away. Lovelace manages the occasional punch, but not being able to see greatly limits what she can do. Finally Dobson exits the ring, lifting up the apron to pull out ... a cheese grater?! She gets back in as the referee tries to stop her, but quickly gets shoved over. Time for the bell.
NWA World champion Heidi Lovelace defeats Crazy Mary Dobson in a non title match @ 5:54 via DQ when Dobson shoved the ref.
Lovelace gets to her knees as Dobson rears back and smacks her in the head with the grater. She then stands over Lovelace and readies to use it! She gets to her hands and knees as Dobson pulls her head back by the hair! Before she can use the item though, Solo Darling is out for the save! She turns Dobson and fires away with right forearms. A dropkick sends Dobson outside, but little can be denied here. She had Lovelace's number here today as Solo checks on her friend. Dobson lives up to the moniker "Crazy" in her attempt to take things hardcore, and Lovelace will really have to step it up if these 2 meet again.

Rob Conway & Chase Owens vs The Sons of Chaos
Since arriving in Ohio Valley and joining Jeremiah Plunkett's group The East, The Sons of Chaos have left a blazing trail behind them. First they took out Jax Dane, permanently, then seemingly Owens for good, and attempted to do the same to Conway. Owens would return though this past Saturday at the SNS to undermine the attempted interference of the S.o.C. in the Cage match. Tonight, Conway & Owens team to try and take out the S.o.C. in their official in ring debut. Damien Wayne & Phil Monahan look good here, isolating Owens to work him over with Plunkett outside playng cheerleader for them. Owens would get the hot tag though as Conway came in with motivation, taking out both wrestlers. Monahan would get the better and even hit his big chokeslam spot, but Conway immediately popped up as Monahan taunted the crowd instead of covering. Monahan turns to Conway and eventually gets lifted up in a suplex and draped across the top rope, before the Ego Trip whiplash move puts him away. As he covers, Wayne enters to break it up but Owens catches him with the Roaring Elbow. Conway & Owens win, as Plunkett just waves off the S.o.C. and heads to the back. Owens challenges him to come back, but Plunkett just shakes his head no. Sooner or later though, Plunkett will have to pay for his actions.
Rob Conway & Chase Owens defeat The Sons of Chaos @ 7:08 when Conway pinned Phil Monahan after The Ego Trip.

Ringside interview w/ Taeler Hendrix & Seleziya Sparx
Terry Boddie is joined by the A List, still reigning OVW Women's champion Taeler Hendrix and Seleziya Sparx. Boddie brings up Hendrix winning the 3 way Saturday, but Mary Elizabeth Monroe was not pinned. Taeler says that nobody cares about her, everybody's sick to death of her and her Rainbow Cross, and she never deserved the opportunity in the first place. Boddie asks if not her, who? A minor Seleziya chant breaks out as Taeler tells the fans to shut up because if she will never listen to them or their uneducated opinions. Seleziya's place is in her corner, not competing. Whether it's Mary Elizabeth or Rebel, the battle of the bimbos, it doesn't matter because she will keep the title for a long, long time to come.
Opponent #3 vs Rudy Switchblade
2 down, 1 to go. If Switchblade wins the match, he gets his shot at John Cena for the NWA North American Title at Futureshock on July 11. First was Jessie Godderz, second was Mike Mondo, and little surprise here with the third being Lonesome Jay Bradley! These 2 had a lengthy feud last Fall with a 5 match series followed by a Hell in a Cell match at Starrcade in January. The commentators mention that some consider that feud the step that brought Switchblade to that next level. It was just after match #5, the Ambulance match, where Switchblade was revealed as the leader of The Blacklist.
Bradley starts the match with an intensity and purpose. He takes it to Switchblade, keeping him on the run for much of the early going. The commentators wonder what the fatigue factor must be doing for Switchblade. Not even just 2 matches tonight, but Elijah Burke just 4 days ago as well. Bradley has the upperhand until Switchblade gets Irish whipped to the corner and catches Bradley charging in with a big boot to the face. Switchblade clotheslines him down and starts to work over the knee, a strategy that seemed to be working well for him at the SNS with Burke had it not been for the presence of Cena at ringside. Switchblade eventually heads up top for a frog splash but Bradley gets his knees up. Bradley starts to make the comeback when ...
Shiloh Jonze & Eric Locker emerge! This could spell trouble for Bradley, but thankfully out right behind them is Michael Hayes! The fans cheer as Hayes has them backing up as he grabs a chair. Ali Vaez is out after Hayes. The chase begins with Hayes getting Jonze away and Vaez getting Locker away. Bradley likes that as the referee looks out to get this sorted out. Bradley readies his elbow pad for the Boomstick as he hits the ropes, but Vaez grabs the ankle! Bradley stops and turns as Vaez backs up. Bradley turns back to Switchblade, RudyKO! Switchblade covers and gets the win. Not only that but he will now move onto Futureshock and challenge John Cena on the next iPPV.
Rudy Switchblade defeats Jay Bradley @ 8:29 via pinfall after the RudyKO.
Hayes is confused by this as Vaez rolls into the ring. Hayes follows still with the chair in hand. Vaez is backing off, begging, when Switchblade from behind drops him with a forearm, low blow. Vaez laughs as he shakes hands with Switchblade. What is this crap?! Dean is beside himself on commentary as the worst fears are realized, Ali Vaez has joined The Blacklist! With the chair down, Vaez grabs Hayes by the head and starts yelling at him. "You never cared about me! Nobody here cared about me! This man (Switchblade)? He cared!" Vaez then grabs Hayes and gives him a double underhook DDT onto the chair. Vaez stands and looks down at Hayes as Switchblade taunts the camera "You're next Cena."

Ringside interview w/ Jim Cornette
Terry Boddie is with Jim Cornette. Boddie asks for thoughts on what we just saw. Cornette says that it's unfortunate that Ali Vaez felt the way he did, but the damage is done. It's too late for talk, too late for forgiveness. Vaez has joined The Blacklist from all appearances, and that's just a shame that somebody with his legacy here, turning a new page all those years ago, has stumbled back into an even deeper, darker abyss. With that win though, it is now official. Saturday July 11, Futureshock, Rudy Switchblade will challenge John Cena for the NWA North American Title. As announced at the Saturday Night Special too, the return of The Nightmare Rumble. This year, 30 wrestlers. First names will be announced next week, and expect some surprises in that match for sure. Also next week, the opponent for Elijah Burke will be announced, and tonight's non title match could influence that, should Paredyse win or put up a strong performance.
Elijah Burke vs Paredyse
The OVW champion is in non title action here. Paredyse nearly won a title shot several weeks back, but lost to Chris Silvio, who vowed earlier to make his presence felt again before the night was over. The commentators put over to expect a very sportsmanlike match here between the 2 fan favorites. A handshake starts out the match after the bell rings and some early exchanges see some headlocks and basic transition holds. The win for Paredyse tonight would be his biggest yet, as the commentators reiterate what was said by Jim Cornette, that a win could put him into the title picture for Futureshock. Finally Paredyse catches Burke after a leapfrog, coming back into a dropkick. Paredyse keeps him grounded with a side headlock, but Burke fights up to his feet. Burke gets the advantage after breaking free and dropping Paredyse off the ropes with a shoulderblock. In the midst of this, the camera pans away to the crow's nest above the entrance ...
What is that? The commentators quickly ignore the person in the kabuki mask and focus back on the action. Paredyse hits a swinging neckbreaker out of nowhere, scoring a near fall in the process. Paredyse keeps the pressure on. He delivers 10 punches to Burke in the corner and looks to Irish whip him across, but Burke reverses. As he charges in though, Paredyse gets the legs up with a reverse leapfrog and locks in the headscissors. He then pulls in Burke for the crowd favorite, the Keister to the Kisser! Paredyse drops down and catches a stunned Burke, driving him into the mat with the Long Kiss Goodnight, a forward STO. The referee counts, but only a 2!
Getting back to their feet, Paredyse looks to continue the offense, but ends up getting caught in a back body drop instead. Burke starts to make a comeback. Dean puts over that this is why Burke is the champion! A never say die attitude, never folds, never leaves it at the table. Burke sets up for the Elijah Experience, but Paredyse himself has something left as he shoves the hands away and starts firing away some right hands. Paredyse catches Burke with a kick to the midsection and hits the ropes for another swinging neckbreaker, but Burke catches him instead with a side slam. As they get up, Burke kicks him, grabs the head and drops back with the sitout facebuster. The Elijah Experience connects! Burke covers, getting the 3. Burke will win but a hard fought match here and certainly a noteworthy performance by Paredyse who the commentators call a silent MVP of late for the promotion, match after match being close and pushing it to the limit.
Heavyweight champion Elijah Burke defeats Paredyse in a non title match @ 10:45 via pinfall after the Elijah Experience.
Burke gets handed the belt, but suddenly from the back, the mysterious figure is now at the curtain. They head through. Entering the ring, Burke is unsure what to make of this. Paredyse is still down as the referee checks on him off to the side. Burke meanwhile takes a fighting stance. He doesn't care! He'll go again if he has to! Suddenly the cloak is thrown down and the mask comes off ...
The commentators instantly recognize that it is Chris Silvio, but seemingly transformed. Dark hair, a white face, almost ghostly, and what looks like blood spattered on it. Burke throws a right but Silvio blocks with his left and grabs Burke by the throat with his own right hand. He then steps behind Burke and hits a Russian legsweep chokeslam combination that drops Burke. He continues choking him. Paredyse is up and tries pulling Silvio off, but in pulling back his head, gets mist to the eyes! Paredyse falls back as Silvio grabs the OVW Title belt, laying across the almost lifeless body of Burke, holds the belt with his teeth! He crawls towards the camera as the fans have seen nothing like this before, here or watching at home. Chris Silvio has made his mark here tonight and a complete transformation of the man has taken place. For Dean Hill, Gilbert Corsey saying so long until next week.
