Interviewer: Terry Boddie
Dean Hill and Gilbert Corsey welcome viewers to the show. Big night here with titles at stake, canes to be dueled, and much more. With the Futureshock iPPV only a week away and the list of competitors in the Nightmare Rumble continuing to grow, tonight marks 1 of the final stops in the road. In action tonight ...
- Chase Owens vs Rudy Switchblade
- Randy Terrez & The Mexicutioner vs Raul Lamotta & Aaron Sky
- Dylan Bostic vs Flash Flanagan in a Dueling Canes match
- Mary Elizabeth Monroe challenges Taeler Hendrix for the OVW Women's Title
All that, plus a special in ring interview segment. TV champion Chris Silvio will host a special live edition of his podcast show with guest, OVW Heavyweight champion Elijah Burke. Maybe now we will finally get some answers out of Silvio. Also Heidi Lovelace will respond to the challenge of Crazy Mary Dobson, and Jamin Olivencia is here to answer Jeff Jarrett's second recruitment attempt made on the most recent edition of OVW TV. Right now though, we send it to the ring where Scarlett Bordeaux is standing by with the introductions ...
Michael Hayes vs The Body Guy
Prior to the match, Body Guy has a good laugh with his corner man Big Jon. Hayes stands center ring to ask what's so funny. Body Guy approaches and says he's used to his opponents being in envy of his physique, but this is taking to the next level because Hayes also has leg envy. Hayes fakes throwing up for some laughs, but Body Guy is not amused. He rushes Hayes as the bell rings, but Hayes is ready for it. He takes the early advantage on Body Guy, but the action eventually spills to the floor where Big Jon stands in the way. Hayes doesn't stand down, but it gives Body Guy time to circle and come from behind to jump Hayes. As it gets back into the ring, Body Guy works him over in preparation for the double underhook facebuster. Hayes though breaks freem hooks the legs and drops Body Guy to his back. He then drops back and slingshots Body Guy to the corner. Hayes gives some rights, eventually taking him down into the Liberty Lock, a modified Anaconda Vise, and getting the tap out for the win.
Michael Hayes defeats The Body Guy @ 5:27 via tap out to The Liberty Lock.
Perhaps extra special given the airdate is July 4. Hayes takes a flag from ringside and waves it as Big Jon pulls Body Guy out. Both men will be in the Nightmare Rumble in a week's time. Suddenly from out of nowhere though, it's Ali Vaez! He hits Hayes from behind, stomps him repeatedly. He removes the prosthetic leg and he starts swinging away at Hayes! Dean says to stop the damn son of a bitch! Vaez however stops himself and drops the leg. He asks for the mic.
Ali Vaez: In case it wasn't obvious Michael Hayes, I am now officially medically cleared to compete in this ring. And furthermore, I will be in the Nightmare Rumble, and I hope ... no, I pray! Our paths cross, so I can finish what I've started. All hail The Blacklist!

Ringside interview w/ Jamin Olivencia
Terry Boddie is joined by the former OVW champion. On TV, we heard an offer from GFW owner Jeff Jarrett on a second chance to join him. Olivencia says that Jarrett would have to be insane to think he would want anything to do with him after what he did in Bowling Green. Because of Jarrett, he is not the World champion! Whether he would have won it or not is unknown, but what's for sure is that he isn't. As far as the rematch with CM Punk goes, he doesn't need Jarrett's help. He might have been beat by Punk last time, but this will be a different story. He learned from that first match, and he intends to put Punk's shoulders to the mat and forever silence the voice of the voiceless. And just to really drive it home, he's putting his name into the Nightmare Rumble officially at Futureshock. He will get a rematch for the World Title, and do it on his terms, not Jeff Jarrett's.
Randy Terrez & The Mexicutioner vs Raul Lamotta & Aaron Sky
Grudge tag team match. Mexicutioner was previously fighting the same battle as Lamotta & Sky, but took issue with the direction of Sky after the departure of their former manager. Finally Lamotta would ultimately side with Sky, leaving Mexicutioner in a 2 on 1. Not for long though as Terrez would join him and bring us to here today. Lamotta & Sky would have to have an advantage according to the commentators, but Mexicutioner has something they don't, purpose. The match went back and forth with Sky eventually going down. Terrez headed to the top rope and connected with the corkscrew moonsault. Mexicutioner entered, ready for Lamotta, but he thought better and just hopped from the apron. Mexicutioner & Terrez get the win, but Mex will have to wait another to get his hands on The Rudo. A day that may come sooner than later as all 4 of these men will be in the Nightmare Rumble.
Randy Terrez & The Mexicutioner defeat Raul Lamotta & Aaron Sky @ 6:18 when Terrez pinned Sky after a corkscrew moonsault.

Women's championship match
Mary Elizabeth Monroe vs Taeler Hendrix (c)
This is a rematch from the tournament final from early May. Hendrix stole the title with a handul of tights. The 2 would meet again at the June Saturday Night Special in a 3 way with Rebel, ending with the interference of Seleziya Sparx allowing Hendrix to retain. Here tonight, Sparx is again in Hendrix's corner, but a special counter measure has been added here with Rebel in the corner of Monroe! Needless to say this does not sit well with the champion.
Upon the start of the action, it may even work to her advantage by giving Taeler some extra motivation fueld by the anger. She eventually tosses Monroe out to the floor in front of Seleziya, distracting the referee. But rather than interference, Seleziya meets Rebel instead, giving Monroe the pass. As she gets to the apron, Taeler knees her. She then grabs her to suplex her back in, but Monroe counters, instead dropping behind. She rolls up the champion with a go behind but Taeler kicks out. As they get up, Taeler goes for the roundhouse kick but Monroe ducks and instead shoves her into the ropes. Monroe goes for a hiptoss, but Hendrix blocks and reverses. Monroe blocks by rolling through and flipping Hendrix into a cover for another 2 count. As they get up, Monroe gets a headlock. Hendrix finally fights free by sending Monroe to the ropes, where Seleziya grabs the ankle. The ref misses it, but Rebel does not as she comes around and begins a fight on the floor. The ref's response is to send both to the back! Hendrix quickly kicks Monroe in the back of the knee from behind and starts complaining. She continues though, focusing on the knee, leading to a half crab. Monroe gets to the ropes for the break though. Hendrix kicks at the knee, getting a bit arrogant. As she reaches in, Monroe rolls her up for a small package. Hendrix reverses at the 2, but Monroe is able to reverse that into the Rainbow Cross. Hendrix is hooked in and has no other choice but to tap, new champion!
Mary Elizabeth Monroe defeats Women's champion Taeler Hendrix to win the title @ 6:43 via tap out to the Rainbow Cross.
After coming close many times since arriving in Ohio Valley, Mary Elizabeth Monroe is finally the Ohio Valley Women's champion! The referee hands her the belt as she drops to her knees, holding it in her arms. Hendrix rolls out of the ring and exits to the locker room area as she holds her own neck. The commentators note that Hendrix has been down before and come back, so she can't be counted down yet, but for tonight, this is Mary Elizabeth Monroe's moment.

Ringside interview w/ Heidi Lovelace
Terry Boddie is joined by the NWA World Women's champion. Lovelace first congratulates Mary Elizabeth Monroe on winning the OVW Women's Title, finally bringing some honor back to the belt that helped get her to where she is today. And who knows, hopefully someday, the 2 of them can finally go 1 on 1 to determine who is the best. For now though, her focus is on Crazy Mary Dobson and her challenge for a Death match at Futureshock for the title. Dobson has done everything to get at her, including leaving questions after their match last month. She intends to answer those because she accepts and on July 11, Dobson will get a taste of her own medicine. She has dealt with crazy before to win the title when she beat AJ, Dobson will be no different.
Dueling Canes match
Dylan Bostic vs Flash Flanagan
And speaking of hardcore style matches, that brings us into the next match. It was last month that Flash beat Bostic on a reverse decision in a match where the loser takes 10 lashes from the cane. Bostic took the caning, earning respect in the process. Here tonight, the canes are legal in the match as Flash looks to finish what he started. Bostic's recent never say die attitude though has began to get him over with the Davis Arena fans, and with them in his corner, it could be his night.
Both wrestlers have canes, and no Ray Lynn in Bostic's corner. It would be too dangerous say the commentators. Playing out early like a battle from Star Wars, the 2 strike the canes with Bostic finally knocking it out of Flash's hands. The veteran though pulls the ref in front of him before Bostic can strike. This stops him as Flash pushes the ref into his opponent. Bostic stops the ref and gets him out of the way, but Flash has had time to get his kendo stick back and blasts Bostic in the head. Bostic drops to 1 knee, popping up into a second shot. As he leans on the ropes, Flash gives a couple more shots. Bostic cringes as Flash sends him into the ropes, swinging with the cane to the midsection. Bostic bends over as Flash strikes to the back. He throws it down and starts to instead start punching. This is as much about Flash proving something to himself as it is about Bostic. Flash yells for Bostic to stay down, but he gets to the ropes and starts getting up. Flash again sends him to the ropes, throwing out a clothesline, but Bostic ducks and catches him with a dropkick. Flash is rocked as Bostic gets the stick!
Flash turns and takes a kendo stick to the face. He takes another, and now the shoe is on the other foot. A third sends him to a knee. Flash begs before a fourth though. Bostic looks to the crowd, who seem adament he show no mercy. Flash however takes advantage of the brief distraction by low blowing Bostic. He is down as Flash heads outside. He slingshots himself over the top rope into a senton and covers. Bostic though kicks out at the 2! Flash can't believe it! He picks Bostic up regardless, bringing the kendo stick across the front. He sets up for a side Russian legsweep with the cane, but Bostic fights free. He fires rights and hits the ropes, Flash swinging back. Bostic steps to the side as Flash meets nothing but mat. Bostic is behind Flash, jumps up and connects with the backstabber. Bostic turns Flash and covers, picking up the 3 and the win.
Dylan Bostic defeats Flash Flanagan @ 6:50 via pinfall after a backstabber.
A big victory for Bostic. And now maybe finally, this feud can be laid to rest. Ray Lynn is out to congratulate Bostic, but Flash is up. He has the kendo stick. Bostic is ready to fight some more if he has to! Flash instead throws down the stick and nods. No handshake, but he he points to Bostic and tells him "you earned it." Flash exits as the commentators wonder if finally Bostic earned the respect of OVW's hardcore icon.

Chase Owens vs Rudy Switchblade
The rise of Switchblade has been well documented. Win after win the last month as he heads into his chance at the NWA North American championship held by John Cena at Futureshock. The commentators wonder though if this match here is the right move. Owens might be the closest thing to Switchblade's equal, maybe even better. His only pinfall defeat having come at the hands of Switchblade in a 6 man tag 2 months ago, but after recovering from a 3 on 1 deficit. Owens came close before, and a loss here could end Switchblade's momentum.
The match begins with a more scientific back and forth. Switchblade can get pretty dirty, but Owens does have a past as a member of The East that The Blacklist leader might be trying to avoid him tapping into. Owens gets Switchblade into a headlock, but Switchblade brings him back into the ropes with the tug of the hair. He then shoots him off, dropping down as Owens goes over. Switchblade leapfrogs as Owens comes back, but Owens catches him and brings him to the mat with an amateur takedown. As they get up, Owens sends Switchblade into the ropes and blasts him with a dropkick for a 2 count. Switchblade gets to the apron as Owens grabs him, dropping down to hang Owens up on the top rope. Switchblade gets back in and begins to work away.
Switchblade puts his focus on the lower back, preparation for his Walls of Jericho like Boston Crab. Owens is resilient, but Switchblade has that big game history here that his opponent lacks. While Switchblade may not have been a champion the level of John Cena right now, he has shown he has what it takes to get there. Not just that, but the mental aspect of it, the commentators bringing up Switchblade's actions at Bowling Green on June 21, in confronting Nikki Bella. Switchblade finally goes for the Boston Crab on Owens. Owens gets turned and fights to avoid the tap. He squirms his way back to his back and frees a foot, kicking Switchblade off. As they get up, Switchblade charges into a powerslam from Owens. Both wrestlers are down.
Getting up, Owens begins to turn it on. His unique offense follows. Hiptoss into a neckbreaker, a 2 count. The S.T.Owens as they get up, a 2 count. A second rope moonsault attempt, but Switchblade rolls out of the way. Unbeknownst to him though, Owens lands on his feet. He stands up thinking he's in control, but turns to a kick to the midsection. Owens with a suplex turned into a stunner on the way down. He covers, another 2 count. Owens then brings Switchblade up into maybe an Attitude Adjustment? No, instead it is The Deal Breaker, a death valley driver turned into a neckbreaker. Owens covers, another 2 count. This time as Swtchblade gets up, Owens readies for the Roaring Elbow. Switchblade up as Owens turns but The Blacklist leader ducks between the ropes. Owens pulls him in. From the corner, an Irish whip across. Switchblade jumps to the middle ropes as Owens charges in, jumping back into a perfectly timed RudyKO cutter! Switchblade covers, and once again takes the win, although a narrow victory here.
Rudy Switchblade defeats Chase Owens @ 10:27 via pinfall after The RudyKO.
Notch up another win for Switchblade, possibly his most impressive yet. The man has held the OVW championship this year, won Survival of The Fittest at the last iPPV, is now on a 7-0 run with wins over Jessie Godderz, Mike Mondo, Jay Bradley, Mike Hayes, Mark Jindrak, Ryan Howe, and now Chase Owens. Can John Cena be the man to stop him? He will get his chance on July 11 at Futureshock. As Director of Authority Jim Cornette made clear, this will be Switchblade's only chance. Either we see a new North American champion or The Blacklist leader eats his words.

Futureshock iPPV lineup
Director of Authority Jim Cornette is out to go over the lineup. It all goes down next Saturday night, and not to sound like a broken record because this seems to happen every time, but it could be the biggest night of action yet. This time, literally. That's because of the Nightmare Rumble, 30 names will enter. 2 minute intervals, until the ring is full. Here is the current list of names ...
- Marcus Anthony
- The Body Guy
- Dylan Bostic
- Colt Cabana
- Cliff Compton
- Rob Conway
- Mike Hayes
- Ryan Howe
- Shiloh Jonze
- Raul Lamotta
- Eric Locker
- Melvin Maximus
- The Mexicutioner
- Jamin Olivencia
- Chase Owens
- Paredyse
- Jeremiah Plunkett
- Aaron Sky
- Randy Terrez
- Ali Vaez
That makes for 20 names, the rest to be announced on TV on Wednesday, plus a few left up to surprise and the imagination. And you know, speaking of Ali Vaez, he was out here earlier, hoping and praying that him & Mike Hayes cross paths. Well after his attack, Hayes wants that too. So what's been done is Michael Hayes will enter #1 into the match, Ali Vaez will enter #2. That way, it guarantees they get the chance to settle the score.

The Chris Silvio Show w/ Elijah Burke
Finally maybe some answers. It was the June 10 episode of OVW TV where Silvio emerged in mysterious white face paint, darkened hair, blood spattered, attacking The Pope. As Silvio was owed a shot from a win the previous month, Burke obliged but wanted answers. Silvio has been both elusive and dismissive since. Tonight though, there is no avoiding it. The TV champion is in the ring with valet Mary Jane, ready to be joined by the OVW champion.
Chris Silvio: Alright, let's just cut to the chase here. I know what people want to see, and while I have things to say, I'm going to say them right to Elijah Burke's face. So Pope, get out here. You've got questions for me, well I've got questions for you!
With that, The Pope emerges, entering the ring as his music plays. The fans cheer but Burke is not here to play to the crowd. This is about the title match next week at Futureshock, and the actions of Silvio.
Chris Silvio: Alright, The Pope everybody! The Pope. Please, applaud. Feed his ego. Now, if I could. We all know out here that I'm the reigning OVW TV champion. I won the belt off Michael Hayes, who say what you will about, he deserves a hand because he has something that you don't Elijah. He has guts! See, I earned a shot at you and your title, and when you backed down, he stepped up. I beat him, yes, but I can at least respect him. You on the other hand? I have no respect for. I can't wait until July 11 when I win your title and save Ohio Valley from the undeserving champion that you have proven yourself to be.
Burke seems confused by this.
Elijah Burke: So that's it? Just gonna come out here, cut some promo on me, forget what you did? Ok. We can do that. Or, you can be a man and take responsibility for your actions.
Chris Silvio: I don't know what the hell you're talking about Elijah, I'm-
Elijah Burke: Oh you don't?
Chris Silvio: No! I have no idea. Unlike you, I'm a man out here, and I do my business face to face, which is why you're out here right now on my show in what will soon be recognized as my ring.
Elijah Burke: So you don't remember June 10, me and Paredyse. You come out in some kabuki mask, white face paint, and you jump me. Doesn't ring a bell?
Chris Silvio: I have no idea what you're talking about. Clearly, you have me confused with somebody else.
Elijah Burke: Is that right? Well fortunately, I have the footage cued up and ready to go. So if somebody back there could.
The footage plays. Burke gets handed the belt, but suddenly from the back, the mysterious figure is now at the curtain. They head through. Entering the ring, Burke is unsure what to make of this. Paredyse is still down as the referee checks on him off to the side. Burke meanwhile takes a fighting stance. He doesn't care! He'll go again if he has to! Suddenly the cloak is thrown down and the mask comes off, and the commentators instantly recognize that it is Chris Silvio, but seemingly transformed. Dark hair, a white face, almost ghostly, and what looks like blood spattered on it. Burke throws a right but Silvio blocks with his left and grabs Burke by the throat with his own right hand. He then steps behind Burke and hits a Russian legsweep chokeslam combination that drops Burke. He continues choking him. Paredyse is up and tries pulling Silvio off, but in pulling back his head, gets mist to the eyes! Paredyse falls back as Silvio grabs the OVW Title belt, laying across the almost lifeless body of Burke, holds the belt with his teeth! He crawls towards the camera as the fans have seen nothing like this before, here or watching at home. It ends as we go back to live.
Elijah Burke: Now what do you have to say for yourself!
Chris Silvio: I say I don't know who that was, I don't know what it was. It's not my concern. My concern is your OVW Title and winning the match at Futureshock.
Elijah Burke: Maybe we should ask your little valet here then. What is it, Mary Jane? If you won't answer me, maybe she will. Listen honey, I wanna know-
Chris Silvio: Don't talk to her.
Elijah Burke: Excuse me?
Chris Silvio: I said don't talk to her. Your issue is with me.
Elijah Burke: Mary Jane, these fans-
Silvio grabs Burke and turns him away, going for a cheap shot. Burke blocks it and starts firing back with right hands. Silvio gets sent into the ropes, dropkick. Burke gets up and turns his attention back to the valet. She just shakes her head, refusing to give any answers, but it seems like she knows something. Burke tells her to come clean, but before she can answer, Burke turns and takes a Superman punch to get knocked to the mat. Mary Jane cowers in the corner as Silvio stands, staring down at Burke. He then turns his glare to her, ordering her to get the belts. She gets the TV Title and the Heavyweight Title, handing them to Silvio. He lifts both in the air, but we still have no answers, just maybe more clues.
Could this image be a sign of what is to come? Could Silvio raise both belts officially next week at Futureshock? If he can defeat Elijah Burke, he will. A reminder to tune in Wednesday for the final TV before the iPPV, and make sure to order it because you won't want to miss it. Burke vs Silvio. The Nightmare Rumble. Cena vs Switchblade. For Dean Hill, Gilbert Corsey saying so long until the next time.
