1,100 fans packed the Amarillo Civic Center Grand Plaza for the debut of NWA Unlimited and the return of the National Wrestling Alliance to the lone star state! Rich Brennan and six time World Heavyweight Champion "the Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels are seated in a box suite providing commentary for the evening for when the event makes its television debut. The camera is focused on the commentators who are cut off mid-sentence by the sound of cow bells blasting throughout the public address system and it's John "Bradshaw" Layfield, the General Manager of the National Wrestling Alliance making his way through the curtains!
Bradshaw states he was sent here by the President of the NWA himself, Triple H, to scout for talent ahead of the upcoming tournament for the interim NWA World Heavyweight Championship. He made a point to mention that tonight, every match counts, as a star making performance tonight could land you in the tournament! Speaking of tournaments, Bradshaw announces there will be an eight team tournament to determine the number one contenders for the NWA World Tag Team Championships! The first match of that tournament begins ... now!

1. NWA World Tag Team Championship #1 Contender's Tournament: The Bravado Brothers (Lancelot Bravado & Harlem Bravado) beat Shiima Xion & Tyler Breeze
Experience was on the side of the Bravados against their impressive opponents in what turned out to be a strong opening contest. The crowd wasn't sure who to root for but the resolve of the Bravados got them some positive reactions later in the contest. Eventually, the Bravados put Xion away with the Gentleman's Agreement; Harlem pinned him for the win at 11:19 while Lancelot ensured Breeze did not break the fall.

2. ACH beats Fast Eddie
ACH makes his way to Unlimited after an unexpected trade between the Las Vegas based Premier Wrestling Entertainment and the new Texas promotion and he picked up an impressive victory over another Texas native, Fast Eddie. Despite both men being hometown talents, the crowd was firmly behind ACH, who used the 450 degree splash to pick up the victory at 7:56.

3. Audrey Marie, Brooke Tessmacher, and Celeste Bonin beat Lacey Von Erich, Shaul Guerrero, and Tessa Blanchard
Three daughters of Texas legends squared off against first generation opponents, but tonight family history played no part in the outcome. Miscommunication played a big part in the contest, as Guerrero seemed to tag herself in only when the situation benefited her. Things came crashing down when Bonin, who was well protected in the match by not being tagged in until the ending, blasted Blanchard with the spear for the win at 6:23.
4. NWA World Tag Team Championship #1 Contender's Tournament: The Von Erich Brothers (Marshall Von Erich & Ross Von Erich) beat Disorderly Conduct (Mean Mike & Tough Tom)
No one knew who the Von Erich opponents would be but Disorderly Conduct received a loud ovation when they walked through the curtains! Time has not been on the Texas Hangmen's side, though, and the young Von Erich brothers easily defeated their veteran opponents via pinfall at 5:36 after stereo iron claws!
5. Tigre Uno beat Sin Cara
The pace once picked up quite a bit when the two high flyers took to the ring. Just pride was on the line but both men gave it their all, with Uno finishing things off at 7:51 with the Spanish fly.
6. Amber Gallows beat Taryn Terrell
No female worker has more experience on the Unlimited roster than Amber Gallows and she used her experience here against the upstart Taryn Terrell. Every chance she could get, Gallows was bending the rules in her favour with eye pokes. She eventually grabbed the referee's shirt, diverting his attention and not allowing him to see her kick Terrell in the groin. The pinfall was academic at 4:15.
7. NWA World Tag Team Championship #1 Contender's Tournament: The Golden Lovers (Kenny Omega & Kota Ibushi) beat The Tate Twins (Brandon Tate & Brent Tate)
It was an absolutely dominant performance by Omega and Ibushi. Any offence the Tate Twins got was quickly squashed and Omega put his outmatched opponent on his shoulders and slammed him down with the Croyt's Wrath for the victory at 3:26.
8. Paul London beat Adam Page, Jesse Sorensen, and Trent Barreta
The match was one fall so the action was hectic as all four men fought valiantly to get the win and hopefully impress Alliance officials enough to warrant consideration in the NWA World Heavyweight Championship tournament. The veteran and former World Tag Team Champion finally ended the bout when he used the London Calling on Barreta for the win at 10:56. Barreta leaves frustrated as he loses what turns out to be his farewell match, as he is the one heading the other way in the acquisition of ACH.
9. NWA World Tag Team Championship #1 Contender's Tournament: The All Night Xpress (Kenny King & Rhett Titus) beat Chavo Guerrero Jr. & "Super-Mex" Hernandez
The Texas natives of Chavo Guerrero Jr. and Hernandez received loud ovations from the Amarillo audience and were the clear fan favourites throughout the contest. Hernandez' size played a key role in the match - he would either be unable to overcome the speed of his opponents or eventually his power would overmatch their speed. However, the All Night Xpress' fluid offence was too great tonight. They isolated Hernandez and hit an impressive One Night Stand on him for the victory at 11:15 as Guerrero was unable to break the count.
Following the bout, a video plays on the big screen, focusing on "the Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada. Speaking in his native tongue, with English subtitles scrolling through on the bottom of the screen, Okada says he has achieved everything possible in Japan and promises to reach the same success in the United States. That success starts tonight, when he faces an immediate test - "the American Psycho" Lance Archer.
The camera switches to an area backstage where "the American Psycho" Lance Archer is pacing back and forth. For years, Archer has had to wrestle internationally because there was no one man enough to face him in America. Finally, he returns home to Texas, and ironically enough he is wrestling a foreign. Tonight, he will prove to Okada why no one wants to wrestle "the American Psycho!"
10. "the Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada drew "the American Psycho" Lance Archer
In what could only be described as a war, Okada and Archer blasted each other with vicious offence that the ring could not contain. Several times the action spilled to the outside with each man being thrown into the barricades and steel steps. At one point, Archer narrowly missed a big boot that would have pelted Okada's head into the ring post. Okada impressed the crowd with a kick out of a lethal power bomb and Archer returned the favour when he kicked out of a flying elbow drop from Okada. With neither man coming close to victory, the match was ruled a time limit draw at 15:00.
Both men were clearly upset with the situation but shook hands in a show of respect for his opponent.

The General Manager of the National Wrestling Alliance, John Bradshaw Layfield, returned to the entrance stage with a microphone in his hand. As he stated earlier, he was sent here by Triple H to scout the best talent to determine who would be a good fit in the Interim World Heavyweight Championship Tournament. Paul London was all but confirmed to be selected until the main event took place - Layfield wants to these two beat the hell out of each other once again! Therefore, at NWA World Wide - Battleground on February 21st, Okada and Archer will fight once more!
