The Chicago Power Hour rev’s up with the vintage style opening montages with highlights of the stars of the show, with flashes of Adam Cole, Trevor Lee, John Cena, OI4K and Jerry Lawler.
The “Windy City recap" rolls and we get a brief review of last week's episode.
- The issue between Tomasso Ciampa and Shane Hollister heating up, a challenge was issued and accepted for a match on tonight’s episode!
- Devon Storm getting the victory over his fellow veteran Ace Darling to set up a non-title Masters Division match against champion Jerry Lawler tonight, while Raven becomes the #1 contender beating former champion Billy Gunn in the main-event.
- Luke Harper challenging Colt Cabana for a rematch for the Cyber TV title, a match that will happen on next week's TV! Harper looks to avenge his loss but will Colt be able to win the title as well as the match next week?
- Finally, the face-to-face between champion Adam Cole and John Cena. The match had to happen, and it was signed, and happens TONIGHT in our main-event as Adam Cole defends the Chicago heavyweight title against John Cena!
*Cue, the commentators as Daryck St Holmes and guest colour today, Terry Funk welcome everyone to the show.
1. CJ Parker and Markus Crane went to a Double-DQ in 3:05;
Newcomer Crane came in with a point to prove and with just two aim’s it seems, to get into a fight and to make an impact, and it's fair to say he did both! Crane was very aggressive, but credit where credit is due, as Parker did not take a backwards step and this bout degenerated into a brawl. So much so that the referee could not control this one and threw the match out.
2. Shane Hollister def. "The Sicilian Psychopath" Tomasso Ciampa with a roll-up and his feet on the ropes in 8:58.
As Ciampa made his entrance, a leaving Markus Crane took a pot-shot at him as they passed putting him down. This allowed Hollister to run out and get the early advantage; The match built into a heated and competitive bout until Hollster took the win thanks to a quick counter and a clear foot on the bottom rope to aide his leverage. Ciampa protested the result but the ref didn't see anything and Hollister escapes to the back quickly with the victory leaving Ciampa raging in the ring.

3. Cody Hall def. Jax Dane with an Outsiders Edge in 2:14;
Jax Dane debuted with a win last week but was unable to keep in the win column as Cody Hall took out his loss to Louis Lyndon on him and quickly took the win in a showcase match designed to make Hall look good.
*A vignette roles for the new tag team coming to Windy City soon that we first saw last week. Chad Gable and Jason Jordan again introduce themselves as the American Alphas. We see Gable and Jordan at a Man vs Food competition. Gable and Jordan bicker about who will be able to put away the most food. Finally they settle on Jordan being entered into the competition of eating the man vs food calzone...
Hard-cut, and we see Jordan looking the worse for wear but wiping his mouth with a napkin just about finishing off the calzone and winning a man-verse-food T-shirt. Gable seizes the opportunity and immediately takes down Jordan with a double-leg takedown and pins a bloated Jordan with comedic effect.
Gable says they’re the American Alphas and they will always get one up on each other and their opponents no matter what! Jordan says as you can see that is true! Jordan and Gable are always one-upping each other and very soon they will one-up the rest of the tag team division in Chicago! Gable finishes with they are ready, willing and gable to take over the tag team division in Chicago!

4. Non-Title, Masters Division Match
Devon Storm def. Jerry “The King” Lawler [c] via countout in 6:24;
Lawler cheated throughout the match which was pretty even until it spilled outside and #1 contender Raven came out of the crowd and gave the King an Evenflow DDT on the outside; Lawler was unable to make it back to the ring and was counted out giving the win to Storm; this loss for Lawler seemed to amuse Terry Funk very much on color commentary.
As Lawler recovered and struggled to the back holding onto his Masters championship he grabbed the mic, and told Devon he hopes he saves the winners purse from this match because he likely won’t ever get another. Lawler challenged Devon to a double-or-quits match with double the normal winners purse on offer, Storm readily accepts.
King says next week he’s arranged for the legendary tag team, the Rock N’ Roll Express to come into town and wrestle Storm and his buddy Ace Darling! Funk on coms says that the R N'R was a great team but a little past their best now, so he's wondering what Lawler has up his sleeves here?!

*We see Trevor Lee backstage with Scarelett Bordeux. Lee says he’s going to watch tonight’s main-event between Adam Cole and John Cena with great interest, because one day soon he will be in that spot and facing those guys.
Lee says that next week he will be competing in the ring, and will show everyone that winning the ZG Cup was just the beginning, because the sky's the limit for him in Chicago!

5. MAIN-EVENT: Chicago heavyweight championship match
Adam Cole [c] def. John Cena in 14:19 with an Attitude Adjustment to retain the Chicago heavyweight championship;
Cole and Cena had a hard hitting, but clean, competitive title match. Each man wanted to prove they was the best; After kicking out of a Corona Crash, Cena went down in his title challenge when Cole resorted to using Cena's own famous finishing move the Attitude Adjustment to put him away for the three count; Once Cena had gotten his bearings back again and was on his feet he passed Cole his heavyweight championship belt in an apparent moment of sportsmanship before nailing Cole hard in the face with his chain that he keeps in the corner of all his matches.
Cena re-wraps the chain around his fists tight and mounts the downed Cole. Cena hammers away with some big brutal punches to the face of Adam Cole. Camera shots show that Cole is busted open badly. Blood is everywhere, on Cole, on Cena, on the mat. Cena has flipped, the embarrassment of being beaten by his own move just too much.
St Holmes and Funk put over how big of a moment this is and where this will lead too before quickly running down the matches for next week's TV that we know about right now;
-A veterans tag team battle, as Ace Darling & Devon Storm face off against The Rock N’Roll Express, Robert Gibson and Ricky Morton!
-ZG Cup winner Trevor Lee will be in action!
-Luke Harper will defender his Cyber TV title in the main-event in a rematch against Colt Cabana!
*St Holmes and Funk go silent, as the camera focuses in on a bloody Adam Cole and an enraged John Cena as the final credits roll
