The show started out white hot as “Bullet in my hand” by Redlight King plays to the opening of Adrenaline. Joey Styles “The Voice of Impact” welcomed the television audience to the final Adrenaline before Vs. The World! Styles introduced his new broadcast partner, one half of the Rock N’ Roll Express, Ricky Morton! We’ve got an exciting show for you tonight, in the main event it’s the Motor City Machine guns and NWA Impact Tv champion Colt Cabana facing the Strong Style Thugs with Ace Steel! But right now we’re heading to our opening contest…
TAG TEAM MATCH
The Briscoes(Mark & Jay Briscoe) w/ Don Callis def. American Lucha (Brian Mendez & Sol Jr.)
Don Callis has left the broadcast booth, bringing the Briscoes to NWA Impact’s newly formed tag team ranks and they easily disposed of American Lucha after Jay hit the Jay-Driller on Mendez.
After the opening contest the show cuts to the interview booth with CM Punk, standing with “The Quintessential Studmuffin” Joel “Well we…” is as much as Gertner could get out before Punk snatched the mic away from him, shoving him out of the camera shot. CM Punk cut a very passionate promo targetting the NWA World Heavyweight champion, Sheamus. Punk was in top form as he picked apart Sheamus for his addiction to guiness and vowed that come vs. The World! CM Punk would show Sheamus that Straight-Edge was the right way and that the true champion would be crowned!
SINGLES MATCH
“The New Horror” Sami Callihan def. “Diamondback” Dingo w/ Prince Nana
Dingo put on a really great showing in this match, but Sami Callihan is just a monster and he used his snapmare driver to put away Dingo.
SINGLES MATCH
“The Soviet Shooter” Alex Koslov def. Chance Prophet
Chance looked to have Koslov in position to pull off a victory, but Koslov is so ring savvy that he was able to lock on the Soviet Stretch forcing Chance to tap out.
SINGLES MATCH
“The Master of Muppets” Jimmy Jacobs def. “The Impact Rockstar” Jason Hades w/ Ms.Behave
Jimmy Jacobs has quickly become a favorite with the fans, and almost had the match won when he nailed the Fozzy the Bearhug DDT, but out of nowhere Jimmy Rave hit the ring and nailed Jacobs with the Pedigree, resulting in the ref disqualifying Hades.
After the match Hades, Rave and Ms.Behave stood tall in the ring smiling. It looks like Jason Hades has a partner in crime now, here in NWA Impact.
SINGLES MATCH
“The Physical Genius” Jon Moxley def. “The Anarchist” Doug Williams w/ Zack Sabre Jr.
Austin Aries came to ringside for this match with a bag of popcorn to get a first hand look. The entire match Aries played mind games with Moxley who wound up taking a beating at the hands of “The Anarchist” but in the end Moxley was still able to come out on top after hitting the Boma Ye.
NWA IMPACT X TITLE MATCH
“The Phenomenal” AJ Styles© def. “The Embassy’s Favorite Son” Brandon Bonham w/ Prince Nana
This was a decent match, the ending was kind of a given though as Styles put away Bonham with a Styles Clash.
But what was suprising was Jay Lethal sliding into the ring behind Styles, nailing the X division champion with a chair to the back. Lethal got on the mic and demanded that Styles give him a title shot at vs. The World!
SINGLES MATCH
“The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson def. “The greatest man that ever lived” Austin Aries
This was the longest match of the show as both men put on a really great match that got a “This is wrestling” chant from the crowd, both men pulled out a lot of their signature moves but in the end Danielson was able to lock on the Cattle Mutilation forcing Aries to submit.
Jon Moxley came out after the match to applaud the effort made by Austin Aries, who looked livid at the mockery as Moxley laughed obnoxiously as the show went to commercial.
SIX MAN TAG MATCH
Strong Style Thugs(Low Ki & Homicide) & Ace Steel def. Motor City Machine Guns(Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) & Colt Cabana
This match got out of hand quickly, with Cabana trying so hard to get his hands on Steel who avoided Cabana at all costs. The two tag teams involved pulled off a lot of wild and innovative tag moves, but Steel was able to hit a low blow on Alex Shelley while the ref wasn’t looking allowing Low Ki to snap off a near jaw breaking kick giving his team the win.
The show ended with security holding back Cabana and Steel who were nearly nose to nose, with the NWA Impact vs. The World banner hanging in the banner behind them.
