Makoto - Wow! There are so many cosplay outfits for sale!

Syuri - Better watch what outfit you choose, your man is liable to rip it right off you during the show!

Makoto - Look who's talking!

(Everybody laughs as Syuri blushes)

Makoto - Ooooh! I love it. Asuka's plugsiut from Neon Genesis Evangelion! Sebastian will love it!

Yuzuki - I'm sure he'll love the person wearing it!

Makoto - Martini, can you please haggle to get the price down?

Martini - Sure thing. Anything for a friend like you.

Several of the girls get back home after today's training session. Miyako Matsumoto sees a box addressed to her on the kitchen table.

Miyako: Wow! Wonder what it is?
Hikaru Shida: Who's it from?
Miyako: It's from a friend back home. I wonder what she sent me.
Hikaru: Open it.
Miyako: (opening the box) Ohhhh cute. Her daughter made me a title belt.
Hikaru: And there's a bunch of Kit Kats in there too.
Miyako: She knows I love those. Hope my favorite flavour is in there.
Hikaru: What flavour?
Miayko: Baked potato.
Hikaru: I liked when they had the bubblegum flavour
Miyako: They sent me strawberry, sweet potato, watermelon & salt, caramel, green tea, apple.... here's a bubblegum for you.
Hikaru: Cool thanks. I didn't know it was still available.
Miyako: WOW! A whole box of baked potato. I gotta thank them.
Hikaru: Maybe you could send a video to them.
Miyako: Cool idea. I'll get Miguel chan to help.

Yoshiko Tamura and Mizuki Endo arrive at the dojo at 6:30AM. There are about ten girls waiting outside for this morning's tryouts.

Yoshiko: Good morning everyone. Thank you all for showing up on time, that's a good sign.
Mizuki: Before we even go inside, I want everyone to do five laps around the building.
girl: Nobody said we have to run. I thought this was a casting call for your tv show.
Yoshiko: You better run... all the way home for disrespecting the girls who know why they're here. The rest of you.... GO

The first girls finish their five laps in about 10 minutes. The last walks in at about 25 minutes.

Mizuki: Keep walking slowpoke, you're done. The rest of you, find a space along the railing. Grab the railing and jump from side to side. You have 5 minutes
Yoshiko: (whisper) This young one here has dance experience.
Mizuki: (whisper) The one beside her looks like she could do this for hours.

The girls all finish the jumping test.

Mizuki: Well done. We're going to find out what you know about wrestling. First question goes to ballet girl. What is my name and what other name did I used to be known as?
ballet girl: You're Mizuki Endo, Ramu Endo's mom, you used to also be Eiger.
Yoshiko: She knows you. You in the teal, who is the current NWA Women's World Champion?
teal: What's the NWA?
Yoshiko: For you it means not wrestling aywhere. Goodbye!
Mizuki: You, Ms speedy jumpy... yes you with the pink shoelaces. Who is your favorite wrestler in JPP and why?
speedy jumpy: Even though she's a bit crazy, I like Lin Bairon. She's very athletic and has great gymnastic and martial art skills.

Yoshiko and Mizuki finish quizzing the girls. They go into the stadium.

Yoshiko: No matter how great a wrestler may be, every wrestler had to do what you're doing to do now. You're going to set up the ring.
girl: Don't you pay someone to do that?
Yoshiko: say that again.
girl: Ummmmm sorry
Mizuki: This is our ring crew supervisor. Listen to what he tells you to do.
girl: Forget this!

Phil Whelan: Welcome back to Morning Brew here on Radio 3, I'm your host Phil Whelan. Since mid November, Hong Kong has had an exciting new entertainment option. Every saturday night, the ladies of the JoshiPuroPride wrestling promotion have been battling it out at Queen Elizabeth Stadium.
Joining me today is the top star from JPP, Kana. Welcome to the show Kana.
Kana: Thank you Whelan san. All the girls in JPP are stars, I wouldn't call myself the top star.
Phil Whelan: Not only talented, but she's modest and I believe she's single gentlemen.
Kana: I'm single by choice; wrestling is my romance. In the rare spare time I have, I like to watch some tv or a movie, or maybe go shopping with friends.
Phil Whelan: In my notes here, it says that you are undefeated. That must make you the JPP champion.
Kana: I was the initial JPP Singles Champion until I was attacked by my nemesis Serena. I suffered burns and some severe cuts on my hand. I was forced to vacate the title while I recovered. I'm back in action now and haven't fogotten Serena.
Phil Whelan: is the Singles championship the only title in JPP?
Kana: We have four titles of our own and there is also the National Wrestling Alliance Women's World Title. My partner, Ayumi Kurihara, and I are one of the 6 teams currently competing in a tournament for the JPP Tag Team titles. We also have the JPP Juniors Title, and a new title to be decided this coming saturday called the New Territories Tiara.
Phil Whelan: What's on the card for this coming saturday's JPP show?
Kana: We're going to have eight amazing matches this saturday, seven of which will be about our titles. We will have the third round of the Tag Team Title tournament. The New Territories Tiara will be decided in a match between Hiren and "the dancing queen" Miyako Matsumoto. Yuzuki Aikawa will be challenging Mia Martinez for her newly won JPP Juniors title. Hiroyo Matsumoto will defend the JPP Singles title against Hong Kong's very own Martini Ip. The main event, which I will also be in, is a 10 woman battle royal to fill the vacant NWA Women's World Title.
Phil Whelan: That sounds like a jam packed show. What time should fans be there to catch all the action?
Kana: The doors open at 6:00PM and the show starts at 7. Be sure to get your tickets from the box office while they're still available.

Riho is waiting out front of the school for someone to pick her up. Vanessa walks up.

Vanessa: Hey Riho.
Riho: Hey Vanessa.
Vanessa: What ya up to?
Riho: Waiting for someone to come pick me up.
Vanessa: You gonna go train at the dojo?
Riho: If I get my homework done, I will.
Vanessa: That's what my mom said too. I can't go to the dojo unless I finish my homework.
Riho: What?
Vanessa: I was one of the girls who tried out on saturday morning. I got an email today saying that I've been accepted. We're gonna be training together
Riho: I didn't even know you tried out. Congratulations. Now your hard work starts. If you need help with anything, just ask me.
Vanessa: Where would I get some wrestling boots?
Riho: I have some old ones you could have. I'm getting some new ones made.
Vanessa: Thanks. I can't wait to tell my boyfriend, he'll really wanna kiss me now.
Riho: You... kiss your boyfriend?
Vanessa: As much as we can *giggle*.... ohhhh here's my mom, see ya

Are Miyako Matsumoto and Hiroyo Matsumoto sisters?

Hiroyo Matsumoto - Miyako and I are friends and teammates, but we are not sisters. Matsumoto is a very common family name in Japan. Another interesting bit of information about Miyako is that she is actually older than me.

Miyako Matsumoto - You were old when you were born while I'll always be young.... and better looking.

Hiroyo Matsumoto - Will my ego be that big when I'm as old as you? You can have your better looking, I'll always have the size and strength advantage and I'll always have the JPP Singles title.

Miyako Matsumoto - Title belts are great, but I'm the dancing queen, so I'm going to get the New Territories Tiara on saturday.

Hiroyo Matsumoto - You should have no problem with that, Hiren is on a massive losing streak.

Miyako Matsumoto - Your match will be tougher. Martini Ip is so strong and tough.

Ray Cassler - Welcome to Cassler's Corner! This morning, I have four guests who will be in the battle royal for the NWA Women's World Title on saturday. They are Kana, Hiroyo Matsumoto, Ramu Endo, Makoto and Riho!

Kana - It's an honor to be here with NWA JPP's top contenders for the title.

Hiroyo Matsumoto - I'll be taking both tiles home this Saturday.

Kana - We'll see about that!

Cassler - Why are you so quiet, Riho?

Riho - Well, it's such a great honor to have this opportunity at such a young age. It's almost overwelming.

Cassler - I'm sure you'll do fine. The fans will be rooting for you to win.

Hiroyo - I'm amazed at how many fans you have in NWA JPP, Riho!

Kana - Me too. The fans here on Hong Kong and all over the world just love you!

Riho - Yes, that's true. But it seems to be alot of pressure on me.

Ramu - I remember when I was your age and wrestling for titles. The only pressure you should have is the pressure you put on yourself. Just do what you know how to do and give the fans a great show.

Makoto - Riho and I started our careers on the same night on the same show. I wouldn't want to be in the biggest match of my career against anyone else. Having great girls like Kana, Hiroyo and Ramu in there will make it even better.

Cassler - I hope all five of you do well in the match.

Kana - Thanks!

Hiroyo - It's been a pleasure being here.

Ramu - Thanks for inviting us, Cassler san. Riho's gotta get changed and head off to school and the rest of us need to get back to training!

Adam arrives at the main apartment.

Adam: Hello everyone. Mmmmm what smells so good?
Ronaldo: Hello Chen san. I've got some chicken soup cooking in the crockpot. It should be ready if you want some.
Adam: I'll try some after I talk to the bosses.

He walks down the hall and into the office.

Adam: Hello ladies, hello Miguel. How are things going?
Asami: Everything is set for tomorrow. The plane with the girls from CPW and WC just landed a few minutes ago. The bus will be bringing them here.
Adam: How are things on your end Kimiko?
Kimiko: I've got the special project ready to be activated after tomorrow's show. I hope the fans enjoy it.
Adam: I'm sure they will. What have you been up to Miguel?
Miguel: I met with a manufacturer this morning about a line of JPP teddy bears.
Adam: I know a couple little kids who would love those. How are plans going for our April Supershow?
Asami: We just have to finalize the venue arrangements. I'll be going up to Guangzhou on monday to meet with the arena management.
Adam: Why not all of you go, and bring a few of the girls. Take pics and video for PR. I'll even come if you want.
Kimiko: That sounds like a great idea for promoting the event. I'll contact some of the media in Guangzhou.
Adam: I just picked up something special for everyone for after the supershow. I got a block of tickets for the Lady GooGoo concert, thought the girls would love that.
Kimiko: You mean Lady Gaga. Everyone will love that, even if they're not a fan.
Adam: Here they are, lock them in the safe. Let's get some of that delicious soup Ronaldo has cooking.

(Three Treasures of Buddha meet at the apartment. They relax in the living room after having lunch together.)

Kana: Congrats on winning your second title, Yuzuki!

Yuzuki: Thanks, Kana! The travel schedule is so tiring though.

Ayumi: Why don't you do all three of your title defenses in Hong Kong?

Yuzuki: Three? I just have two belts.

Kana: Ayumi and I talked yesterday about having you take my place in the tag tourney. I'd like to make a singles run for the NWA JPP and the NWA World titles.

Yuzuki: That's awesome! I'll gladly take your place in the tag tourney!

Ayumi: Good! I was hoping that you would.

Yuzuki: Kana, who's your next opponent?

Kana: Martini Ip. She's about gotten as far as she can go in the Singles division at this point. I'm going to challenge her for the #1 contender's position for the NWA JPP Singles title.

Ayumi: What about Serena?

Kana: I'll deal with her in the proper time....

Adam, Asami, Kimiko, Miguel, Hiroyo Matsumoto, Miyako Matsumoto and Yuzuki Aikawa have taken the express train from Hong Kong to Guangzhou. When they get off the train, a representative from the arena is waiting for them. They are taken in a small bus to the arena.



They are greeted by the general manager of the arena and taken up to the restaurant overlooking the arena and served a large lunch.
After lunch, they are shown around the arena.



After the tour, they go back up to the restaurant where the local media are gathered. A table is arranged for everyone, with a JPP banner behind it.

Wu Jintao - Good afternoon. Thank you all for coming here today. I am Wu Jintao, general manager of Guangzhou International Sports Arena. We are here today to announce an exciting event. On April 28th, the arena will host JoshiPuroPride's Spring Supershow. Please welcome the owner of JoshiPuroPride, Mr. Adam Chen!
Adam - Thank you Mr. Wu. Thank you for your hospitality today. JoshiPuroPride is the preeminant women's professional wrestling promotion in the world. Joining me today are JPP Commissioner Asami Konne, JPP Media Coordinator Kimiko Toyota, JPP Singles Champion Hiroyo Matsumoto, JPP Junior Champion Yuzuki Aikawa, and the New Territories Tiara champion Miyako Matsumoto.
Asami Konno - Thank you Wu san and Chen san. This is an exciting day for JPP. We have held a few small shows in Shenzhen, but this will be our first major show outside of Hong Kong. We are very impressed by the facilities here at the arena and are looking forward to a full house of wrestling fans on April 28th.
