Makoto's Hong Kong

Makoto - Hi everyone. Welcome to the great city of Hong Kong. My friends and I in JPP have been here for four months and we've loved every day. Hong Kong is a vibrant, colorful, exciting city full of sights, sounds and smells.
One of the sounds familiar to everyone in Hong Kong is the ubiquitous "ding ding" of the trams.



Makoto - Single deck cars first entered service in 1904 and were replaced by double deck cars in 1912. The track runs from here in Kennedy Town on the west end of Hong Kong Island to Shau Kei Wan on the eastern end of the island. The original tram cars had bodies and benches made from highly polished teak. Those were eventually peplaced with stronger metal bodies. There are still a couple tram cars with wooden bodies and seats which can be hired for parties and special events.
The trams have always been a very inexpensive way to get anywhere you want on Hong Kong island. The fare today is still a low $2.30 (30¢ US) for a trip anywhere.

Why do Kana and Serena hate eachother?

Serena - Why do I hate Kana? That's the dumbest question I've ever heard. Are you idiot fans serious, who wouldn't hate Kana?
Just look at her. She comes to the ring wearing lingerie that doesn't do anything to hide her rolls of fat. I know for a fact that she has some real ring wear but she never has time to put it on because she's usually so busy *beep* and *beep* and *beep* the *beep* so she can win so much. I wouldn't be surprised if she *beep*ed you to send in this question.
And that line she draws across her face. That's not a fashion statement or a way to intimidate her opponents. She draws that line to cover up all her hideous acne scars.
Look at me! I'm so physically fit, I have less than 5% body fat. The only rolls you'll see around me are whole grain rolls with lean meat and low fat cheese. My skin is flawless and always has been; I have never even had a single zit.
Despite what parents and teachers will tell you, it's ok to hate people who are fat and ugly and it's ok to hate girls who *beep* their way to the top.
I know she'll say something about me attacking her and burning and busting up her hand. That is a complete lie! She tripped over her case of Proactiv and tried to grab onto a coffee pot for support. That makes her a clumsy stupid liar.... and it's ok to hate clumsy stupid liars too!

Kana - Why do I hate Serena? After that rant of hers, do I really have to say why?

Ramu gets up, puts on a robe and heads to the kitchen. Keiko is at the table eating breakfast.

Ramu - Good morning.
Keiko - *munch munch* morning
Ramu - Save some of that granola for the rest of us. You've been eating so much of it.
Keiko - *munch munch* so good *munch munch* love it *munch munch* with this green applesauce Ronaldo made *munch munch*
Ramu - That's not applesauce. It's salsa verde!
Keiko - *munch munch* so sweet *munch munch* had some with yogurt before this *munch munch*
Ramu - How much did you have to drink last night?
Keiko - *munch munch* I don't drink *munch munch* you know that *munch munch* mmmmm *munch munch* try this
Ramu - Ummmm no thanks

Yumi Tokiwa (staff nurse) comes by the Endo-Mariko-Sanchez-Hernandez apartment. Ramu answers the door and lets her in.

Yumi - How's Keiko doing today?
Ramu - She ate her weird breakfast again this morning. She's gone through about a litre of Ronaldo's salsa in the past couple days.
Yumi - Has she thrown up today?
Ramu - She's watching some tv in the li.... put that away Keiko, dinner's in less than an hour.
Yumi - Hi Keiko. How are you feeling today?
Keiko - Hi Yumi chan. I fealt a bit nauseous this morning, but I'm fine now.
Yumi - I knew it! Weird tastes in food suddenly and nausea... Are you late?
Keiko - Dinner's not for an hour, I'm not late.
Yumi - Not late for dinner. Are you late?
Keiko - What!... You think I'm....
Yumi - I picked up some tests. We can check

After Riho gets home from school, she has a talk with Keiko and Ramu, then they head over to the main apartment and into the office.

Miguel - There's my beautiful wife.
Asami - Hi girls. What's up?
Keiko - I wanted to apologize for throwing up during the show on saturday. I found out yesterday why that happened.
Asami - Did Dr. Misawa find out what you have?
Keiko - It was actually Yumi chan who figured it out. What I have is something my handsome husband gave me.
Asami - Are you sick also Miguel?
Miguel - I'm not sick and neither is Keiko
Keiko - Miguel has given me the greatest gift ever.... a baby!
Kimiko - You're PREGNANT!!
Asami - I'm so happy for you both

Kimiko and Asami both hug Keiko

Asami - Even if Dr. Misawa said it was ok, I don't want to risk your health and your baby by letting you back in the ring.
Keiko - I understand. I wouldn't want to anyways.
Ramu - With Keiko out of action, would there be an opening on the roster?
Asami - There would be. Do you have another friend we could bring in?
Ramu - There is someone we've worked with a few times before. We weren't really friends but we all like how she works.
Asami - Who?
Ramu - She often wears a kimono to the ring, so she'd be a natural as a Kimono Dear.
Riho - Her manager wears a kimono too.
Asami - Her manager? Who is she, and who's her manager?
Ramu - LuFisto and Pegaboo.
Kimiko - That nutcase who talks to her doll?
Ramu - She's a bit eccentric, but she's great in the ring.
Asami - She is great in the ring, and so entertaining. Let's find her contact info.

Makoto's Hong Kong

Makoto - Welcome back to Makoto's Hong Kong. Today, I am going to take you to one of the most popular locations in Hong Kong. We are going to go to The Peak. We could take a bus to the top or walk up Old Peak Road if we wanted some exercise, but we're going to get up there the way Hong Kongers and tourists have been since 1888. We're going to take the Peak Tram. I'm going to buy my ticket and I'll see you on the tram.



Makoto - Here we are at The Peak, almost 400metres above Victoria Harbour.


Makoto - Back in in the mid 1800's, British governors and businesspeople built exclusive homes up here on The Peak for their own use. After the Peak Tram was built, more and more houses were built and tourists began flocking to The Peak. The Peak has always provided unsurpassed views of Hong Kong, Kowloon, Victoria Harbour and several of the outlying islands.
The best views are from the observation deck on the top of The Peak Tower. Join me up there and I'll show you the best views of Makoto's Hong Kong.

Asami Konno walks into a McDonalds in the Central district. She sees Lin Bairon, Tess LaCoyle and the Commodore sitting at a table. She hurries over and sits down.

Asami - When did you know?
Commodore - Know what my dear.
Asami - You damn well know what I mean and I'm not your dear. When did you know Serena would be signing with Evolve?
Lin - What? She left us?
Asami - From that reaction, I'm going to believe that you didn't know.
Lin - Michelle Yeoh, Shaw Brothers, JPP, Sogo Department Store, Lee Gardens....
Asami - Cut the cospiracy BS Lin. There is no conspiracy. I just want to know if any of you knew Serena was going to leave just days after she won the tag title tournament.
Commodore - I am a man of honour. If I knew anything I would tell you.
Asami - I'm not talking to you and I'm not buying your commodoe act. Lin and Tess, if I find out that either of you knew that she was going to leave, you'll never work in JPP again.
Tess - Do the most electrifying woman in the world and the Hong Kong action star get to keep the titles?
Asami - Save your catch phrases and the conspiracy for the fans. This is all about business and I want a straight answer. Did either of you know Serena was going to sign with Evolve?
Tess - I didn't know
Lin - I might be able to remember better if I had a Happy Meal.
Asami - Are you seriously trying to bribe me Lin?
Lin - I had to try. No, she never told me anything.

Adam is at the main apartment. After meeting with Asami and Kimiko, he joins everyone for lunch.

Adam - So, Ramu, have you and Ronaldo made any wedding plans yet?
Ramu - We were going to do it in the summer. But we've decided to move it up to April maybe so my bridesmaid can fit in her dress still.
Keiko - Are you saying I'm gonna be fat?
Ramu - Your pregnant, remember.
Adam - Have you found a place for the ceremony?
Ronaldo - Makoto's boyfriend gave us a great idea. He's a tram driver and showed us the antique trams.
Adam - That sounds very romantic. Speaking of romance, have you looked into a honeymoon?
Ramu - All we've decided on is that we'd like somewhere warm and on a beach.
Adam - I know a great little beach town in Australia that you'd love. Let me put together a package for you, my gift.
Ramu - That is too kind Chen san.
Adam - Anything for my girls.... and guy

If you could take a vacation anywhere, where would you go?

Hiroyo Matsumoto - If I could take a vacation anywhere, where would I go? I've always loved adventure and excitement. I remember as a girl, I saw a story on tv about the Dakar rally. I'd love to take part in that some time.

Ramu - I've been fortunate enough to travel to some great places. But if I could go anywhere, I'd love to go to Paris, because it's so romantic.

Kana - If I could go anywhere on vacation, where would I go? That's an easy one for me, I'd love to go to Europe for the London, Milan and Paris fashion weeks.

Miguela Martinez - Hey, Kana can't have that dream vacation, that's mine. I get to go to London, Milan and Paris. I'm a model you know what I mean. I do my little turn on the catwalk.

Makoto - I'd love to go to California and have a working vacation at Pixar Studios.

Tess LaCoyle - It sure as hell wouldn't be this hell hole called Hong Kong. There's only one place anyone should ever want to go to, my hometown, Las Vegas

Ramu, Ronaldo, Keiko, Miguel and Ramu's moms are sitting at the dining room table.

Ramu - You guys know to get simple black suits?
Ronaldo - We do. We'll go shopping tomorrow.
Ramu - We should finalize the list of who we're gonna invite to the ceremony. The tram can only fit 25 people. There's the six in the wedding party, my moms, your parents, the celebrant, that's eleven.
Ronaldo - So that leaves 14 more. Any ideas who you want to invite?
Ramu - Hideo asked if By Nor could come. We could invite his gf too.
Mizuki - Vanessa is a great girl.
Ramu - So we're at 13 now. We could invite some of the other girls.
Ronaldo - A lot of the girls are really cool. Who did you have in mind?
Ramu - I was thinking of Apple, Arisa, Ayumi, Cherry, Hiroyo, Kana, Makoto, Miyako, Syuri, Martini, Yuzuki and our new partner.
Ronaldo - Those are all cool girls. Anyone else can come to the reception after.
Haruka - Glad you got that settled. The plan for tomorrow is to get the license and shop for dresses and suits.
