Welcome to this weeks episode of NWA Hybrid Pro TV. This weeks main event features John Cena facing off with Jeff Hardy in a grudge match, and there's a lot of big matches on tonight's show, so lets get straight into the show with our opening contest.
Pure Wrestling vs Lucha Libre
Michael Shane vs La Sombra
A rematch from 2 weeks ago where these two fought to a time limit draw, this one was going along nicely once again, as Shane tried to keep the match on the ground, while La Sombra took to the air and kept the match as a fast pace. Shane looked like he had this one won, as he went for the Sweet Shane Music, but he accidentally hat the ref, who was completely knocked out. Sombra hat the Brillante Driver, but there was no ref, and while this was going on, Bo Rotunda and Harris Rotunda ran down to the ring. Bo speared Sombra, and Harris nailed the Senton, before they put Shane on top and revived the ref. The ref slowly counted 3, and Shane wins this match!
Winner- Michael Shane
The Rotundas continue the beatdown on Sombra post match, and Shane joins in, effectively confirming he's joined up with The Group. But before they can finish off Sombra for good, Newgen run out for the save and run them off.
Newgen help Sombra to his feet, and they offer him a spot in their group, not just to even the odds but because he's the best young talent in all of Mexico. He accepts the offer, and the Newgen/Group war just got that bit more heated.
Harry Smith vs Sheamus "Fella"
Smith is making his debut in this match, having signed for Hybrid Pro several days ago, and what a difficult opponent to face in his first match in the former NWA World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus "Fella", who also happens to be making his in-ring debut here tonight. And this was a very hard hitting match, where Smith more than proved he could go toe to toe in a brawl with Sheamus, giving just as good as he took and getting several near falls. However, Sheamus was simply too much for Smith in the end, as he finally put him away with the Brogue Kick.
Winner- Sheamus "Fella"
Post match, Sheamus helped Smith up and shook him by the hand, then got a microphone.
Sheamus: Harry fella, you did good tonight. Not many wrestlers have been able to take me to my limits, and tonight fella, you did just that, and for that I respect ya. So what I want to do now is to offer you a spot in The United Nations, Canada's part of the Commonwealth, and your dad was English, so thats good enough for me. What do ya say fella?
Smith thinks about it for a second and nods, indicating he's in, and Sheamus applauds him and shakes his hand again, then gets a few Guinness's from the crowd and the two have a beer bash. The United Nations just grew even stronger, they are a real force to be reckoned with in the NWA!
Newgen (Pinkie Sanchez, Rich Swann and Kyle Matthews) w/La Sombra vs The Group (Damien Sandow, Bo Rotunda and Harris Rotunda) w/Michael Shane
This rivalry got started when Newgen saved their newest member, Kyle Matthews, from a 3 on 1 assault by The Group. Now both groups have grown by 1 more name, which only adds fuel to the fire in the Newgen/Group war. Sandow has taught The Rotundas well clearly, as they used the same number of tricks that he did to isolate Swann from his corner. He finally broke through, made a hot tag to Sanchez and Matthews, and the match broke down from that point into a crazy brawl. The ref completely lost control, and when the match went onto the outside and everybody ignored the count, the ref called for the bell to make this a no contest.
Winners- No Contest
Newgen and The Group continued to brawl around ringside, and Shane then got involved to, as a big 7 person brawl ensued. You may be wondering where La Sombra was during this, the answer was in the ring as he ran the ropes, leapt onto the top rope and hat a 450 TO THE OUTSIDE, OH MY GOD! Everyone was wiped out after that, but Newgen were to their feet first, and backed away from the ring with arms raised, having one upped The Group with Sombra's help.
NWA Hybrid Pro Tag Team Title Match- The Jung Dragons (Jimmy Yang and Kaz Hayashi) vs The United Nations (Drew McIntyre and Wade Barrett)
A top quality tag team match here, as we got a power vs speed battle with McIntyre and Barrett using their power to throw the Dragons around with considerable ease, as well as taking them to the mat with some submissions, while the Dragon busted out some submission of their own as well as going to the top rope on as many occasions as possible. And while The United Nations put up a good fight, they didn't have as much experience as a team as the Dragons did, and that looked to be enough to give them the win, but then things took a turn for the worse. Middle Aged and Crazy ran out and distracted the Dragons, mocking them with their Tag Team Titles that they still have possession of, and Yang had enough as he dived onto them with a Tope Con Hilo! Hayashi got attacked by Barrett in the ring, dropped him with the Wasteland, and GOT 3, NEW CHAMPIONS!
Winners- NEW NWA Hybrid Pro Tag Team Champions, The United Nations
Barrett grabbed the belts before Middle Aged and Crazy could get up and take them again, and the new champs celebrated in the ring. The Jung Dragons were fuming over being screwed out of their belts by Middle Aged and Crazy, and the two teams brawled all the way up the ramp to the back. How much further can this go?
John Cena w/Shinsuke Nakamura vs Jeff Hardy w/Cibernetico
Cena did exactly what he said he was going to do, and have no ring music, he just walked to the ring with a cold look on his face, utterly free of emotion and went straight after Hardy. Cena also showed an utter ruthless streak, punishing Hardy with nasty punches and forearms, and working the back with efficiency to setup for the STF. Hardy meanwhile showed his own ruthless streak, breaking the rules constantly in addition to take to the air as you would expect, with Cibernetico also getting involved on several occasions. Nakamura finally had enough, as he and Cibernetico brawled around the ringside area, distracting Hardy. Cena then threw Hardy to the canvas and put him in the STF, forcing Hardy to tap out.
Winner- John Cena
Cena refused to let go of the hold post match, as Hardy tapped and tapped desperate to get out of the hold. Nakamura meanwhile was in trouble on the outside as Cibernetico grabbed him by the throat. GARRA CIBERNETICA THROUGH THE ANNOUNCE TABLE! Nakamura is out and now Cibernetico sets his eyes on Cena. He gets in but Cena lets go of Hardy and is ready. The two look ready to go at it, but Cibernetico stop, smiles and grabs Hardy as they leave the ring. Cena looks confused, or would do if he showed any signs of emotion, as Cibernetico leaves with a big smile on his face. What was that all about? And what are we going to see from these four next week? You'll have to tune in and find out, goodnight everybody!
