Pre Show
Four Corners Match : Colt Cabana defeated Chris Masters, Damien Sandow and Bobby Fish when Cabana defeated Damien Sandow by count out in 12:33.
- A great outing for all of the men involved in this match
- This was for one of the last spots int he tournament, and everyone put all they had into trying to win the match.
- In the end, Colt and Sandow were the legal men in the ring, and then for some reason, known only to Sandow, he rolled out of the ring and left, taking the count out with him, as Colt slowly got to his feet.
Pre Show
Four Corners Match : Matt Morgan defeated Matt Hardy, Kurt Angle and Christian when Matt Morgan pinned Christian with the Carbon Footprint in 13:56.
- In another very good match up, Morgan was able to squeak by and advance to the Quarterfinals, but it was not an easy win, by any stretch of the imagination.
- Matt Hardy was probably the most motivated of the four men in this match, but Kurt Angle targeted Hardy from the onset.
- Compton and Pearce made an appearance and assaulted Angle late in the match, allowing Hardy out of desperation, to hit the Twist of Fate on Christian, who then, stumbled into the Carbon Footprint from Morgan, who had also felt the wrath of Angle and his Ankle Lock submission earlier in the match.
King of the Ring - Quarterfinals Match : Paul Burchill defeated Jack Swagger by countout in 05:55.
- Both men came out ready to go and looked determined to take the win.
- Each man had a few near falls within the first minute of the contest.
- Burchill and Swagger were putting on a hell of a match, until Swagger took Burchill over the top rope with a clothesline, and crashed awkwardly onto the ring apron, knocking himself out cold. Burchill was able to get back into the ring before the ref made the 10 count.
Interview with Alberto Del Rio : Del Rio came out and said he was NOT going to defend the CPW Championship tonight, but that Dreamer had threatened him with his job, so he will wrestle. This brought out Hirooki Goto! The two went back and forth in their native tongue, apparently neither could understand the other, as they just kept talking over the other until Del Rio looked to leave, but sucker punched Goto! Del Rio laid into Goto until security pulled them apart!
King of the Ring - Quarterfinals Match : Kofi Kingston pinned El Generico with the Trouble in Paradise in 06:27.
- This match was pretty even in terms of size, height and athletic ability.
- Both men pulled out all the stops. They went move for move and spot for spot.
- In the end, it looked like El Generico might have had the win in sight, but Kofi landed the Trouble in Paradise out of sheer desperation for the pin to advance.
Exhibition Match : Hirooki Goto made Alberto Del Rio submit to an armbar submission in 07:53.
- Perhaps one of the more brutal matches in recent CPW history, as both men went at it before the bell even rang.
- Both men worked this match ultra stiff.
- In the end, it was the arrogance of Del Rio that was his undoing, as he had Goto weakened, but it was Rey Mysterio that would prove to be Del Rio's end as he blasted the CPW Champion with a chair on the arm and shoulder as the ref was distracted by Carlito, who had just moments earlier tried to attack Goto. This allowed Goto to lock on the Arm breaker for the tap out win!
King of the Ring - Quarterfinals Match : Kyle Matthews pinned Shelton Benjamin with the Slurpee Kick in 11:56.
- Another fantastic match between some of the NWA's up and coming talents!
- Kyle has continued on the streak that has been just awesome as of late!
- The end came with Matthews just outlasting Benjamin to get the hard fought win and advancing.
King of the Ring - Quarterfinals Match : Colt Cabana pinned Matt Morgan after a lung blower in 10:48.
- This match was a clash of styles as Morgan used a power based attack while Colt used his mat wrestling to try and keep the big man down.
- Morgan did a pretty good job of keeping Cabana down, but the match turned in Colt's favor when Morgan missed a big Boot and Colt targeted the legs of Morgan.
- Colt used a variety of submission hold (Sharp Shooter, Texas Clover Leaf, Boston Crab, ect) to weaken Morgan, then pulled a Lung Blower out of his hat to secure the win over the stunned Morgan.
Interview with Ricochet and Evan Sydal : They were interviewed on their upcoming match for the NWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship. Ricochet said that tonight, he would light the CPW on fire with the most action it has seen in quite some time. Evan Sydal countered that he was about to take CPW to the moon, and the only way to get there was to climb the ladder.... Evan challenged Ricochet to a Ladder Match for the Title, which the champion accepted. They both promised to bring all they had, as nothing would be left to question afterwords.
CPW Tag Team Championship Match : The Faces of Fear (Mark Henry and Samoa Joe) defeated Money Inc. (c) (Ted DiBiase and Robert Roode) when Joe made Ted DiBiase submit to the Coquina Clutch in 10:53 to win the CPW Tag Team Titles after The Perfectionists interfered.
- The brutality in this match was only matched by the desire of each team to win.
- Each tam make quick tags and used their assets to their advantage. The champs used speed, while the challengers used their brute strength.
- In the end, the challengers had the assistance of The Perfectionists to credit with the win.
King of the Ring - Semifinals Match : Kofi Kingston pinned Burchill with the Trouble in Paradise in 07:31.
- Both men were winded from their previous KotR encounters, but Burchill was already two matches in, having won the last spot in the tournament earlier in the day.
- Burchill tried to over power Kingston, but Kingston was still a bit quicker.
- At the end of the match, Burchill was just to out of gas and Kofi was able to put him away with the Trouble in Paradise and advanced.
King of the Ring - Semifinals Match : Kyle Matthews pinned Colt Cabana with the Super Kick in 06:41 after Matt Morgan interfered.
- Matthews and Colt shook hands to start the match and then went at each other.
- This was a good blend, as both men worked a very good match together.
- In the end, Matt Morgan interfeared against Colt, costing him the match by distracting Colt, behind the ref's back.
Interview with Kofi Kingston : Kofi promised that his match with Matthews would be one of the best of his career. He said he respects Matthews for getting this far in the tournament, and that getting past Colt Cabana was not an easy task. He did say that he hoped that Morgan was acting alone when he attacked Colt, and not working with Matthews. Kofi said that win or lose, Matthews is in for a fight, and will be feeling the results of the match for a few days to come!
Falls Count Anywhere, Last Man Standing, Loser Leaves CPW : The Miz defeated Randy Orton when Randy Orton failed to answer
the 10 count in 20:04.
- At long last these two were able to 'hash' out their differences, and it was a battle for the ages!
- The ref was there to count to 10 and declare the winner, nothing more, and Miz and Orton knew that, so they took advantage of every rule in the book to be broken.
- Both man let it all go in this battle, and in the end it was th Miz who was able to block the RKO and hit the Skull-Crushing Finale on the arena floor for the 10 count.
Interview with Kyle Matthews : Matthews came out and said that he is prows to be representing NWA Hybrid Pro.. A company that is setting itself apart from the rest of the NWA in its quality and freshness. He remarked that what Matt Morgan had done was done with out his knowledge or endorsement. He showed the tape of what when down (the ref going down on a freak collision between the three men in the closing moments of the match and Matt Morgan attacking Colt from the arena floor, followed by an instinctive Super Kick from Matthews) Matthews said he would have preferred it to go down different, but what is done, is done. It is the here and now, and The King of the Ring is here and Kofi Kingston is the now. Come the Main Event of the night, it will be one on one, and only won will be declared the winner.... the King of the Ring!
Ladder Match for NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Championship Match : Ricochet (c) defeated Evan Sydal in 16:35 to retain the NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Championship.
- Evan came out to a decent pop, while the champ came out to crowd that was pretty split on him, having only seen him live once before.
- Both men used the ring and ladder as an effective weapon in their quest to win the match, and the championship.
- In the end, both men were atop the ladder, each had the belt in one hand and slugging it out with the other until the both fell. Evan crashed to the arena floor, and Ricochet to the mat clutching the Championship belt in one hand!
King of the Ring - Finals : Kofi Kingston pinned Kyle Matthews with the Trouble in Paradise in 12:15.
- Both men came out and showed the other respect before the match, but once the bell sounded, they were all business.
- Both men hit their spots and countered their opponent.
- In the end, it was Kofi who was able to hit the Trouble in Paradise before Kyle was able to lock on the Hidaka Lock, as Matthews had been working on Kofi with stiff kicks form the get go.
- After the ref counted three, Kofi helped Kyle to his feet and again offered his hand to Kyle, knowing that both men were tired and had proved that you don't have to be the biggest in the world to win! The fans were standing for both men as the show came to a close
