A bit of a rush job this one, not my best work but hopefully more than enough detail here to make for a fun read.
Hybrid Pro TV Results 04/09/2012
Announcer Lenny Leonard is in the ring
Leonard: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the NEW NWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion, Johnny Gargano!
Gargano makes his way out to the ring, accompanied by Jack Swagger, the two proving at Faction Warfare that they are an alliance. Gargano grabs the microphone from Leonard and beckons him to leave the ring.
Gargano: First of all, I'm going to state one thing, the only thing I can say for certain about me: I will be a fighting champion. I don't care who you are, how many titles you've won or how many moves you can do, I will beat you, and go down as the greatest champion of all time. Maybe that sounds like I have a big ego, and maybe I do, but thats because I'm not a "good guy", but nor am I a "bad guy". I'm me, "The Whole Shebang" as some like to call me, and I'm making waves in the NWA again. You could say I'm making a revolution......
Before Gargano can finish, out onto the ramp comes the new NWA Hybrid Pro Heavyweight Champion, Kyle Matthews.
Matthews: First of all, before I get to you Gargano, I want to officially announce that after he dropped the ball against your friend in the ring Jack Swagger, Pinkie Sanchez has been relieved of his duties as the leader of Newgen, replaced by me!
Gargano sarcastically applauds, his history with Sanchez is well documented.
Matthews: But thats not why I'm out here. Johnny Gargano, a lot of people would say I should be thanking you for what you did to Cibernetico at Faction Warfare. But I'm not, you see, you Johnny Gargano are stealing my spotlight. I've worked hard since day 1 of Hybrid Pro to get to the top, and when I begin to make it, you come along and try to steal my spot. I'd have beaten Cibernetico not once, but twice on my own if it wasn't for you interfering, now nobody believes i can beat him clean. So I'm warning you Gargano, stay out of my business!
The fans are turning on Matthews a bit here, but the crowd seems to be 50/50 split in either mans favour.
Gargano: Kyle, please, if it wasn't for me you'd have lost to Cibernetico twice, and wouldn't be holding that belt right now. I....
Matthews: SHUT UP GARGANO, I WASN'T FINISHED! This was supposed to be my night, the night where I celebrate defeating the unbeatable Cibernetico, taking this belt back and saving Hybrid Pro from destruction. Yet you win something and now your the one getting the big celebration, and I'm not even booked on the show. Doesn't something seem a little wrong about that to you?
Gargano: The only thing wrong champ is your attitude, winning that belt has gone to your head. In case you didn't realise it, this is a NWA World title belt, and World title belts carry a bit more prestige. Besides, your belt has been sitting in a trash can for the past month, its worthless until you defend it and make it mean something again......
Before Gargano can say anything else, CIBERNETICO ATTACKS FROM BEHIND! It looks like he came out of the crowd, and he has both Swagger and Gargano by the throat. DOUBLE GARRA CIBERNETICA! Cibernetico then gets the microphone.
Cibernetico: Do you think this is over, huh! Do you think I'm giving up that easy? Johnny Gargano, Jack Swagger, your both dead! Kyle Matthews, your dead! Every single one of you in this building is going to die, THIS COMPANY IS DEAD!
Cibernetico brings the arena into darkness and raises his arms, as Kyle Matthews looks on, deciding not to run down and get involved.
John Morrison vs Rich Swann
Morrison is now riding solo following the breakup of The Group, while Swann is the only other remaining member of Newgen, who appear to have plans for restructuring. And this was an exciting opener, with both men taking a lot of risks to get the fans fired up, and while a lot less experienced Swann pushed Morrison really hard in this one. Morrison however picked up the victory following the Starship Pain.
Winner- John Morrison
We got backstage to the office of John Laurinaitis.
Laurinaitis: Tonight ladies and gentlemen, there will be two huge main event matchups. The first will be a grudge match as Johnny Gargano will face Cibernetico one on one.
The fans explode for that, thats going to be a great match.
Laurinaitis: The second match is what I like to call the Redemption 4 way, a match between 4 superstars who need a boost. It will be James Storm vs Jeff Hardy vs John Cena vs Sheamus. The winner of this match will take on the NWA World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk next week on Hybrid Pro TV!
Another huge matchup there which the fans are very pleased about, who will win the title shot?
Paul Burchill vs Bray Wyatt
Wyatt was playing mind games again, and Burchill was having none of it, he looked to be in an angry mood following his loss to Takashi Sugiura, and he took it out on Wyatt here. Wyatt did have a small flurry though, and managed to hit a huge Splash Mountain in the corner before setting up for the STO. Burchill instead grabbed him around the neck and dropped him with the C4, getting the win in fairly convincing fashion.
Winner- Paul Burchill
Burchill celebrates, goes up to the camera and says he wants a rematch with Sugiura and he wants it soon!
Winners Get A Tag Team Title Match Next Week
The World's Greatest Tag Team (Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin) vs The Stampede Bulldogs (Harry Smith and Tyson Kidd)
What an awesome tag team matchup this was, just 10 minutes of crisp, pure mat wrestling and expert tag team combat between two of the finest tag team in professional wrestling today. Thats really all there is to say about this match, nothing else needs to be said when you have the quality of action that these two teams put on. The Bulldogs ended up getting the hard fought win, as Smith pinned Haas after the Hart Attack.
Winners- The Stampede Bulldogs
Damien Sandow makes his way down to the ring, microphone in hand, cutting a promo as he goes.
Sandow: Unenlightened morons of New Jersey, allow me to put what happened last week at Faction Warfare into a language that even you can comprehend. Randy Orton, a man who I once considered to be a intelligent, talented professional with a mean streak, proved he should in face be locked in some kind of mental institution, destroying The Group, a selection of the most gifted individuals in the wrestling world which took me months to assemble. Randy, I have no idea what you are planning to achieve, but my revenge will be cold and swift, you will feel pain like you have never experienced before, and I will be victorious. Your welcome!
Randy Orton then comes out from under the ring with a chair! CHAIR SHOT TO SANDOW! RKO ON THE CHAIR! Orton has that crazed, sadistic look on his face, and Sandow could be in over his head trying to tackle The Viper!
3 Way Chance
ACH vs AR Fox vs Samuray Del Sol
This is one of the most significant debut matches in Hybrid Pro history for all three men, as a shot at both the NWA Junior Heavyweight Title and the Hybrid Pro Heavyweight Title are on the line for the 2 winners of this match. The first fall was very fast paced and exciting, with all three busting out innovation and wowing the crowd with their high flying skill. And ACH pulled off a huge victory by pinning Fox with the Best 450 Ever to earn a shot at Johnny Gargano next week. The second fall between Del Sol and Fox was just as fantastic, with Fox and Del Sol taking to the air and bringing the crowd to their feet several times. Del Sol got the win to earn himself a shot at Kyle Matthews next week, hitting the Hara Kiri which was enough to keep Fox down for a 3 count.
Winners- ACH and Samuray Del Sol
As Del Sol celebrates, Kyle Matthews makes his way out with the Hybrid Pro Heavyweight Title. He offers his hand to Del Sol, who accepts it. HIDAKA LOCK! Del Sol is screaming in pain as Matthews makes him tap and tap, before letting go. Matthews gets a microphone.
Matthews: So being in second place means getting a shot at me huh, is that what this promotion has come to? I'm the best in Hybrid Pro, and your putting me in the ring next week with not just a nobody, but a second place nobody. I had to work hard for months to get this belt, I'm not letting some punk in a mask take it away. Next week Del Sol, your Hybrid Pro career ends before its even begun.
We see a video hyping the debut of "The Baddest Man on the Planet" Brock Lesnar, who is set to debut next week on Hybrid Pro TV!
NWA Hybrid Pro Tag Team Title Match
The United Nations (Wade Barrett and Drew McIntyre) vs The Showstealers (Michael Shane and Joey Matthews)
The Showstealers reformed a few weeks ago, and impressed so much in their return that they were granted a shot at The United Nations, who have just gotten out of a bitter rivalry with The Group. It proved to be an even matchup, as The Showstealers and their high risk approach meshed well with the more mat based, rough and ready style of The United Nations. After a period of isolation on Matthews, he made the tag to Shane, who when rejoined by Matthews cleaned house with their wide range of crisp double team moves. And in a major shocker, The Showstealer won the match in only their second match back together as a team, hitting the Double Elbow Drop to get the 3 count on both their opponents!
Winners- NEW NWA Hybrid Pro Tag Team Champions, The Showstealers
4 Way Redemption
James Storm vs Jeff Hardy vs John Cena vs Sheamus
These 4 men despite undoubtedly being big stars, have had their own falls from grace in recent times. Storm had a spell as a free agent after being released by CPW, Hardy has had his issues with drug addiction that he only overcame after his release from NWA UK, Cena has never truly found his niche in the NWA and is on a losing streak, and Sheamus has struggled to recapture the momentum that made him the 1st NWA World Heavyweight Champion of the alliance despite a good win/loss record. And while these 4 men went all out to try and get the win, they showed a lack of confidence at times and made a fair few mistakes, it was at times not a pretty match but it was a fun one. Sheamus and Cena ended up brawling to the outside and things started getting pretty wild between the two of them, while Hardy and Storm battled in the ring. Hardy went for the Swanton, but missed, and Storm locked in the Sharpshooter to make Hardy tap.
Winner- James Storm
As a result, James Storm will challenge CM Punk for the NWA World Heavyweight Title next week on Hybrid Pro TV!
Cibernetico vs Johnny Gargano
Cibernetico and Gargano had another top match here, following on from their match a few weeks ago for the Hybrid Pro Heavyweight Title. Gargano however looks to be on another level from where he was even a few weeks ago, having the hot streak of his career at the moment, actually managing to go toe to toe with a man much larger than he is. With that in mind however Cibernetico did have the power advantage, he was still able to toss Gargano around with ease with the destructive force that made him unstoppable. Gargano however looked like he was not only going to beat the unstoppable force, but beat him cleanly when he reversed a Garra Cibernetica attempt into the Hurts Donut. Before he could go for the cover, out ran Jon Moxley, Hirooki Goto and Shinsuke Nakamura, bringing about an instant disqualification.
Winner- Johnny Gargano by DQ
The Antichrists are looking to take out Gargano for good, giving him a 4 on 1 beatdown, and are looking to throw his World Junior Heavyweight Title in the trash. Then all of a sudden, "Children of the Revolution" plays, and here come ADAM COLE, KYLE O'REILLY, CHUCK TAYLOR AND JACK SWAGGER! Its 5 on 4 now, and The Antichrists don't stand a chance, they take a beating before getting the hell out of there, but not before Gargano drops Cibernetico with the Hurts Donut a second time!
The show ends with Gargano high fiving high fiving his 4 allies, and them all raising each other hands as the fans chant "Revolution!". THE REVOLUTION IS BACK!
