Just quick results for this barring one or two bits, to get a show out so I'm a bit more caught up. I'll do more than this for the Sunrise Cup and for the show on the 22nd. Sorry for the shortness
NWA Hybrid Pro TV Results 15/9/12
Johnny Gargano and the rest of The Revolution (Adam Cole, Kyle O'Reilly, Jack Swagger and Chuck Taylor) make their way out to start the show. The crowd all have "R" signs, new merchandise from the Hybrid Pro store, and are chanting "Revolution".
Gargano talks about how The Revolution has taken 3 different forms. There was the WWA Revolution, being him, Adam, Kyle and Jack, plus that Pinkie Sanchez douchebag. Then there was the NWA Revolution, consisting of him, Adam, Kyle and Chuck. Now The Revolution is in its 3rd and most powerful form, that being the form that stands before you tonight. Gargano then boasts about their achievements, from his run as NWA UK Heavyweight Champion, to Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly's World Tag Team Title reign, to his greatest achievement, the World Junior Heavyweight Title, and says the World Heavyweight TItle is in their future. The NWA is about to get revolutionized!
They are then interrupted by Cibernetico, who promises that tonight, they will experience a force like no other, when the newest Antichrist debuts!
Rich Swann def AR Fox and John Morrison in an outstanding opening match, with these three stealing the show in the very first contest. Swann pinned Fox following the Standing 450. Morrison shook hands with both afterwards and all three raised each others hands.
Paul Burchill def Jeff Hardy in a little under 5 minutes, dominating the majority of the match, and he could have won at will at any point. He would pin Hardy following the C4. Burchill shouted for Takashi Sugiura to answer his challenge if he's a real man.
Hardy left looking majorly dissapointed and troubled, and talked about "finding his path after losing his way". He has some soul searching to do it seems.
Damien Sandow and Bray Wyatt came out to have an "Intellectual Debate" with Randy Orton. Wyatt called Orton "a crazy, kooky kind of snake" and insinuated that Orton had been "drinking too much of his own venom" as of late. Sandow then told Wyatt to stop as Orton "lacked the intellectual capacity to understand any kind of rational thought process" and then flat out insulted Orton by claiming his irrational behaviour is all because "his father didn't love him enough".
Its Orton's turn, but he just throws the mic down and goes for Sandow! Sandow pulls Wyatt in the way and he eats a RKO! Sandow escaped however as Orton looks on, pounding the mat and begging Sandow to get in the ring and face him!
The Worlds Greatest Tag Team (Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin def The United Nations (Drew McIntyre and Wade Barrett) to earn a title shot at the winners of the Showstealers/Stampede Bulldogs title match next week. Benjamin pinned McIntyre following the Superkick/German Suplex combo.
Sheamus "Fella" def John Cena via pinfall following the Brogue Kick. John Cena refused to shake Sheamus's hand and enjoy a beer bash afterwards, simply walking away with the same cold stare on his face he always has. Sheamus did not look pleased.
The Showstealers (Michael Shane and Joey Matthews) def The Stampede Bulldogs (Harry Smith and Tyson Kidd) to retain the NWA Hybrid Pro Tag Team Titles in another fantastic tag team match from the red hot tag division, this may have even topped the Stampede Bulldogs/WGTT match from last week. The Double Elbow Drop from the Showstealers helped them retain their titles.
Kyle Matthews def Samuray Del Sol to retain the NWA Hybrid Pro Heavyweight Title. Matthews showed utterly no respect to Del Sol throughout the entire match, slapping him around, toying with him and constantly calling him "an indy nobody". Del Sol almost beat him on several occasions to, really pushing Matthews harder than he expected to be, before Matthews locked in a nasty Hidaka Lock to make Del Sol tap.
Matthews refused to let go of the hold post match, shouting "who's second best now huh" over and over, as officials had to pull him kicking and screaming off of Del Sol. Matthews then regained his composure, before proclaiming himself "the only true Hybrid athlete in Hybrid Pro". Matthews attitude change has been shocking, and brought about through sheer jealousy it seems.
Johnny Gargano def ACH to retain the NWA World Junior Heavyweight Title in an amazing match, where ACH utterly pushed Gargano to his limits. He almost had the belt won following the Best 450 Ever, but Gargano got his foot on the ropes. Gargano managed however to get ACH setup and nailed the Hurts Donut, which finally kept ACH down for long enough to get the pinfall.
"The Best in the World" CM Punk def James Storm to retain the NWA World Heavyweight Title in another great match, with Storm giving Punk a proper run for his money and making Punk work hard for his victory. Storm got both the Sharpshooter locked in and the Eye of the Storm hat, but neither kept Punk down, but Storm showed his determination by managing to escape the Anaconda Vice. The Go To Sleep was too much for him though, that gave Punk the win and another successful title defence.
Punk raised Storm's hand post match, and put over Storm as having found his feet in the NWA once again. The fans chanted "Storm" as he left and Punk celebrated.
Kyle Matthews then made his way out and got up in Punk's face, saying he's been the best in Hybrid Pro for months and about being the only truly Hybrid athlete in the NWA, which makes him better than Punk ever has been. He then calls himself "the true World Heavyweight Champion". Punk challenges Matthews to a match there and then, but Matthews backs down and says he will face him on his own terms.
The Revolution (Adam Cole, Kyle O'Reilly, Jack Swagger and Chuck Taylor) vs The Antichrists (Cibernetico, Jon Moxley, Shinsuke Nakamura and Hirooki Goto]
There is no sign of The Antichrists mystery man yet, either he hasn't shown up or Cibernetico was lying through his teeth to try and scare The Revolution. The Antichrists more than held their own though despite the odds, their size being especially valuable, but The Revolution are such a well oiled machine and the numbers only helped them look even more dominant than ever. Things however were to take a very dramatic twist when as Swagger went for the Doctor Bomb on Nakamura, the lights went out and some familiar music played.
HERE COMES THE PAIN!
BROCK LESNAR MAKES HIS WAY OUT IN AN ANTICHRISTS SHIRT! Swagger doesn't look scared, but is a little intimidated if only through the shock of who is walking down the ramp. Lesnar gets in and Swagger goes for a charge, only to get destroyed by a Clothesline! F5! Lesnar covers Swagger, 1-2-3!
Winners- The Antichrists
Johnny Gargano runs down to try and even the odds, but Lesnar is too much, and he utterly destroys him with a German Suplex! The Antichrists give a nasty beating to The Revolution before posing, as the fans boo loudly!
The Antichrists have just gotten a whole lot stronger, Lesnar could very well be all they need to dominate the entire NWA like never before. See you for the Sunrise Cup!
