These are largely just quick results this week, I've simply not had time to sit down and think about my show as I usually do this week with so much going on. Next week will hopefully be calmer.
NEXT Del Rio vs Swagger
Curt Hawkins def Bo Dallas via pinfall to the Heat Seeking Elbow. Hawkins then said that he is going to make up for lost time in NEXT and get his career back on track with a winning streak.
Samuray Del Sol scored a huge win by defeating Kota Ibushi for the second week in a row, pinning him with the Hara-Kiri. Ibushi looked frustrated, but still shook hands with Del Sol afterwards.
Bray Wyatt and La Sombra def The Token Black Team (ACH and Rich Swann) when Wyatt pinned Swann after the Spinning Reverse STO. Wyatt then initiated Sombra into a group he is calling "The Family", which he promises will be a force to be reckoned with in NEXT.
Chuck Taylor def Zach Sabre Jr via pinfall after the Awful Waffle. Taylor said post match that he was going to finally get his revenge on Kyle Matthews for what he did to his arm in Hybrid Pro, and would snap his arm off to show you don't mess with him nor The Revolution.
In an upset, Mike Sydal def Zema Ion. Ion had been way too cocky for the majority of this match, thinking he was above Sydal, only to get rolled up out of nowhere for the 3 count
AR Fox def Trent Barreta in wrestling's first Instant Replay match. The purpose of the match was to hit 10 moves that were worthy of an Instant Replay, and AR Fox did that first, getting his 10th replay with the Springboard Codebreaker.
Damien Sandow def Katsuhiko Nakajima when he flipped out of a German Suplex attempt by Nakajima and rolled him up with a handful of trunks to get the pinfall. Sandow then attacked Nakajima post match and hat the Terminus. This one is far from over!
Kyle Matthews def Richie Steamboat via submission to the Hidaka Lock. Post match Matthews refused to let go of the hold, having to be pulled off by officials.
Matthews cut the following promo.
Matthews: That's what you get for embarrasing me Steamboat, everybody says your a great wrestler, but your just living off your fathers name, your weak and have zero talent. Unlike me, I'm the only truly Hybrid athelete in the NWA. I was so hybrid that Hybrid Pro had to close down because nobody could match up to me. Next week I'm going to beat the hell out of Chuck Taylor just because he annoys me with his very existance, then at Fall Brawl I'm going to single handedly defeat those West Coast losers and claim my spot as the future NWA World Heavyweight Champion!
The Revolution (Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly) def The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) in a fantastic tag team match when O'Reilly made Sabin tap to the Anklelock. The Revolution will face The Rockstars of Wrestling on NEXT next week for the NWA World Tag Team Titles.
Tyler Black def Kenny Omega following God's Last Gift in a very fun high flying style matchup. As a result of this win, Tyler Black will challenge Johnny Gargano for the NWA World Junior Heavyweight Title next week on NEXT.
Drew McIntyre def Harry Smith, Eddie Kingston and Luke Gallows in a very hary hitting matchup to decide who will face Alberto Del Rio next week on NEXT for the NWA World Heavyweight Title. McIntyre pinned Kingston after the Future Shock, then challenged Del Rio to face him in a No DQ match, where he can't use weapons as a get out clause like the coward he is!
Johnny Gargano def Ricochet in the match of the night to retain the NWA World Junior Heavyweight Title following the Hurts Donut.
Alberto Del Rio def Jack Swagger w/Johnny Gargano to retain the NWA World Heavyweight Title in a great match when Del Rio smashed Swagger's arm with a chair while Gargano had the ref distracted, and put the Cross Armbreaker on him.
Post match The Revolution berated Swagger for losing before attacking him, officially kicking him out of the group for his failings. Gargano cut the folloing post match promo.
Gargano: Swagger, I'm dissapointed in you. At the Hybrid tournament, you cost Chuck Taylor his spot in the tournament, and caused tension between our little family. Nobody does that and gets away with it. Consider this to be your public execution, because you see a lot of people think that The Revolution have gone soft, that we aren't the driven, destructive group of young talent we once were. That's wrong. We aren't good guys, nor are we bad guys, we sit on both sides of the fence and do what we want, when we want to do it. And the way I see it, its time for us to start making an impact again. Swagger, you were the first, unfortunate victim of our plans, and there will be more, because The Revolution will not rest until it takes all of the top spots in the NWA, including, most importantly, that NWA World Heavyweight Title!
