Marisela - I'm glad that you came to me about your acquisition of NWAMEX. If we merge LLX and MEX, we'll have a stronger roster and dominate lucha libre.

Janeth - Uncle Paco Alonso can never know about this meeting.

Marisela - Understood. We'll have to tell something to the press. How about we say that MEX has bought out LLX. What do you think of that?

Janeth - Sounds good. Let's get down to business, shall we? How much are you willing to offer me for the ownership of NWAMEX?

Marisela - How does 100,000,000 pesos sound?

Janeth - Pesos? I'd like to get paid in American dollars.

Marisela - (taking out a calculator) That would be 8,000,000 American dollar. What do you think?

Janeth - Much better. I'd like the money to be deposited into this account. (She passes her account number to Marisela)

Marisela - It's good doing business with you.

Janeth- What do you plan to do with all of the talent you're acquiring from me?

Marisela - I'd like to hire the top Light Heavyweights and luchadoras to focus on high flying action. I'd also like to offer you a position as a staff member.

Janeth - What would I do and how much would you pay me?

Marisela - I keep up the ruse that you have unified LLX and MEX into one promotion by offering the position of Commissioner. I'll give you 10% of the profits made after expenses have been paid.

Janeth - The only way I'm going to accept an agreement like that is for it to be put in writing and I have open access to the financial records. I also need this agreement to be kept secret. My uncle would have a heart attack if her knew what was really going on.

Marisela - I'll have the draft of the agreement typed up and then we'll discuss the details after you have a chance to read it over. Is that acceptable?

Janeth - Sure. It sounds like we're going to enjoy working together.

(Ayumi Kurihara sees Cynthia Moreno backstage and confronts her.)

Ayumi - (shouting) Who did you sleep with to get a title shot?

Cynthia - (laughing) The same guy who handed you and Hiroka the Mexican Women's Tag Team belts!

Ayumi - (growling) You better just stay out of my way when I beat Marcela for the title!

Cynthia - (laughing) And YOU had better tell your partners to stay away from the ring!

Ayumi - (getting in Cynthia's face staring her down) Who are you to tell ME what to do? I'm a Women' Tag Team champion and I'll be the women's champ again soon.

Cynthia - (shoving Ayumi away) Who says I won't be the champion?

(Ayumi slap Cynthia in the face. Cynthia retaliates. Staff members break up the fight by pushing them, away from each other.)

Ayumi - (yelling) You're going down! Whatever you did to get a title shot for MY title, you'll regret doing!

Cynthia - Whatever.

(Marcela comes to see whart the commotion is about.)

Marcela- What happened?

Cynthia- Nothing that I can't deal with on the 28th. She had better keep her cronies out of the ring!

Marcela- (rolling her eyes) Ever since Ayumi started hanging out with Mima Shimoda, she's had a bad attitude.

Cynthia - Well, she's on her way to an attitude adjustment and a healthy does of humility.

Marcela- (smiling) You'd better wait in line.

Miss Janeth - As you can all see, all of you have been assigned to different non-wrestling duties. You will still be able to compete as a wrestler but the regular roster will given the most matches per month. If any of you wish to compete in the ring, you will need to get it approved by our head booker, Perro Aguayo Jr. Your primary responsibility is to promote the main stars of NWAMEX. From time to time, you will all have the opportunity to compete is special matches such as battle royals. This will serve to establish the top contnders for the various titles. Cynthia Moreno will be given a title shot for the women's championship against Ayumi Kurihara and the current champion, Marsela. As the last trios champions with Black Warrior, Ultimo Guerrero y Dragon Rojo Jr. will defend the newly created tag team championship. We need to make sure we work together to improve the quality of our product. Our next show will be very important in re-establishing NWAMEX as a major ploayer in the NWA. Are there any questions?

Ultimo Guerrero - Dragon Rojo Jr. and I appreciate being named the first Mexican Tag Team Champions but we're not sure why heavyweights like Black Warrior and Shocker were let go.

Miss Janeth - That's part of our plan to improve the product. We are honoring the NWA junior weight limit for our entire roster. We'd like to have a men's roster made up of guys who could win the NWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship. We have a lot of women's talent to showcase as well. Joshi Puro Pride have agreed to feature each other's top female talent in several inter promotional matches. If Marcela wins the World Women's title, it will be a great victory for us. Any other questions?

Ayako Hamada - How many students will be the Mexico City training camp?

Miss Janeth - There will be at least 14 workers on our active roster getting retrained as well as an unknown number of new trainees working to
earn the right to compete in the ring. It will take at least a year for these untrained people to graduate from the camp and debut in the ring.

Dr. Wagner Jr. - What criterion will be used to decide if a wrestler is ready to compete in the ring?

Miss Janeth - Seeing as our the trainers are all seasoned veterans, we'll trust your opinion as to who is ready to debut or not. It's much better to have a relatively small number of luchadores on our shows who are very talented than to have a large roster made up of untrained ones. Marisela - You are to be commended. The ratings for this week's show are the highest since the promotion was started by your uncle.
It seems that I made a good choice when I hired you as Commissioner. Here's your share of this month's profits. (She hands Janeth an envelope)

Janeth - (opening the envelope) Thanks! Between this and my investments, I'll be able to live a comfortable life.

Marisela - I'm glad to hear that. You deserve it.

Janeth - Oh. I just remembered that Perro Aguayo Jr. wanted me to give this you. (She passes a sheet of paper to Marisela)

Marisela - (looking at the paper) Hmmm. I like what his ideas for next week's TV show. No big shocker that he booked himself in the main event.

Janeth - I think he deserves to be.

Marsela - I'd have to agree on that one. A match between him and Rey Cometa would be a good one. Having Cometa working as a special referee for a non-title match between Volador Jr, y La Sombra's non-title one against Ultimo Guerrero y Dragon Rojo Jr. is a nice touch. Tell him to post this so everyone knows what they're going to do on the next show. We'll keep things on a two week format so the wrestlers can put on better quality shows. Now, get out of here. I know you want to go shopping with your paycheck.

Janeth - You read my mind!

(Marisela Pena Roldan and Miss Janeth have a meeting in janeth's office.)

Marisela - So Atlantis just decided that he was going to limit his wrestling appearances to once a month after September? He can't do that. The fans really love him and he still draws quite well.

Janeth -v Actually, I was looking over his contract and there's nothing in it obligating him to wrestle at all. Once a month is more than what the contract requires.

Marisela - Just yesterday, Perro Aguayo Jr. and Tiger requested to be booked against Atlantis and El Hijo Del Fantasma. Do you think he's back off on his wrestling as a result of that?

Janeth - I doubt it. He's been considering retirement for awhile so he didn't sign a full time wrestling contract. He seems to be happy just being a staff member most of the time.

Marisela - Talkn to him and see if getting promoted to Head Referee and getting a bonus for wrestling matches will change his mind.

Janeth - It's highly unlikely but I'll try. By the way, it has copme to my attention that Tiger and Rey Escorpion are both nearing the end of their ciontracts. Should we renegotiate? If so, what terms do you fell comfortabole wityh?

Marisela- Both have done well and have a lot of potential to improve. Sign them both to long term written contracts. As for Atlantis, if he turns down our offer just let his contract run out.

Janeth - Since most of the workers were signed shortly after my uncle started the company, a lot of contracts will be coming to an end in the next few months.

Marisela - Keep me posted on that. give me at least two week's notice when someone's contract is coming to an end and we'll deice the length and terms of each. That is if we even resign them at all.

Janeth - Anyone in particular that you'd rather not resign to NWAMEX?

Marisela - Mostly veterans who aren't willing to help the young talent improve. Even though our regular roster is mostly made up with rising stars, we still need veterans to show them the ropes and build them in superstars. I appreciate what Dr. Wagner Jr. is doing by teaming with Rush. Rush has a lot of raw talent that needs to be refined. Teaming with a veteran is one of the best ways to do that.

Janeth- If Atlantis wins the battle royal for the number one spot, he could win the light heavyweight title anjd cause it to be inactive.

Marisela - Which is what I don't want to happen. The odds are stacked against him though. He has to beat Averno, El Hijo del Santo and Psicosis just to qualify for the battle royal. And I'm sure that Perro Aguayo Jr. would be willing to make sure Atlantis never wins the battle royal anyways. Have him come to my office so we can discuss contingency plans just in case.

Janeth - Will do. I won't let Atlantis destroy NWAMEX due to his unwillingness to cooperate.

Marisela - That's all I wanted to hear. Have a good day and keep up the good work.

( Marcela is called into Commissioner Janeth's office.)

Janeth - Oh, there you are. Come have a seat, Senora Marcela.

Marcela - Formalities really aren't needed. You are my boss after all.

Janeth - And you are the luchadora who has the experience and popularity to make NWAMEX the best promotion in the business. Your loyalty to the company is quite admirable. I have an offer that I'd like to maker you.

Marcela - What offer?

Janeth - You've always been willing to help rookies reach their potential. Not all of the staff members are. I'm offering you a staff position.

Marcela - Does that mean you want me to retire?

Janeth - Not at all. We could use your experience in or out of the ring. I'll even let you choose which position you'd like to take.

Marcela - Now that you mention it, I'd like to assist Senora Hamada in the luchadora training camp.

Janeth - I'm sure that she'll be glad to have you as her assistant. That will be a big asset to NWAME#X's women's division.

Marcela - Don't have any experience working for a training camp but I'll do my best.

Janeth - You have been training others by example. I'm sure you'll do fine. I'll draw up a contract draft and have it sent to you. Look it over and then let me know if you feel it needs to be revised.

Marcela - Thanks! I'm sure if it's a standard contract, it will be good enough.

Janeth - I'll make it worth your while to pull double duty. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have other things to attend to.

Marcela - I'll see myself out then. Have a good day, Senora Janeth.

(Taya Valkyrie gets checked out by a medic after a match against Marcela held on a house card.)

Medic - Hmmm. It doesn't look like your eye is scratched but I'll get Dr. Barton take a look at it just to be sure.
He's here in Mexico as a medical missionary.

Taya - Just get him here. I can't see out of the corner of my eye.

(Soon after, Dr. Barton shows up and checks Taya's eyes. )

Dr. Barton - From what I can tell, you have a detached retina. We'll do laser surgery on it. The bad news is that you won't be able to wrestle for two months.

Taya - TWO MONTHS??? I'm not making enough money here in Mexico to take that much time off.

Dr. Barton - Sorry, but the alternative is risking your vision in your right eye by returning to the ring too soon. I'll make an appointment with an Retina Specialist for the end of October to make sure the laser surgery worked. He works out of Port Huron, Michigan. His name is Dr. Valice. I'm sure that everything will be fine. Now if you come with me we'll take my van to the clinic and do laser treatment to prevent you from losing any of your vision.

Taya - Alright, let's go! Marcela's gonna lose more than just an eye when I get back from medical leave.

Dr. Barton - There's no evidence that Marcela caused your retina to detach. Just take it easy afterwards. maybe you should spend time with your family in Canada until your surgery. I understand that NWAMEX is going to have a show in Detroit, Michigan on October 30th. If all works out, you'll be able to return to ring by then.

Taya - Marcela's gonna be a victim of Devil's Night for sure!

(Mima Shimoda held a meeting with Princesa Sujei and Lady Apache. Ayumi Kurihara and Hiroka are present but remain silent.)

Princesa Sujei - So why did you call us here?

Lady Apache - Yeah, I'd like to know as well.

(Mima snaps her fingers and her Japanese allies stand up.)

Mima - Go get our guests something to drink. What would you like, ladies? Saki?

Sujei - Japenese tea will be fine.

Apache - Yeah, we don't want you to get us drunk and have us sign something we wouldn't when sober.

(Ayumi and Hiroka leave the room.)

Sujei - Just get to the point. I see you have your dogs trained. They may both be champions but I can see who's holding their leash.

Mima - As I'm sure you know, Taya Valkyrie is out of action for at least two months. I'd like to bring in reinforcements.

Apache - You want us to join your group just to be dumped when Taya comes back?

Sujei - You'd better make it worth my while.

Mima - As we all know the "NWAMEX for Mexicans" movement keeps growing stronger every day. If you join us, I'll make sure you get a shot at the women's tag team titles.

Sujei - That's a step down for me. I'm the best women's champion that Mexico has ever had.

Apache - Why would I want to team up with a bitch like Sujei?

(Sujei and Apache glare at each other.)

Mima - No need to argue, I'll also give one of you a title shot for the women's championship as well.

Sujei - Now you're talking!

Apache - Which one of us gets the women's title shot?

Mima - Whichever of you wins the fall for your team.

Sujei - You might as just hand me both belts now. The title matches are nothing but a formality.

Apache - Who says you'll score the pin? I'm a lot better of a wrestler than you are!

Sujei - Then why haven't you won any titles in NWAMEX?

Apache - How did you lose the title if you're so great?

(Ayumi and Hiroka bring the tea and set it on the table.)

Ayumi - (whispering to Mima) So they didn't take the bait?

Mima - Not exactly true. We'll discuss this later. Please show our new allies to the door.

(Princesa Sujei and Lady Apache are still arguing as they leaves Mima's home.)

(Las Demonias come to ringside for an 8 woman tag team match. The lights go dark and an emergency light shines directly to a figure coming out from the dark. Las Demonias recognize her voice as she speaks.)

Taya Valkyrie - Is this type of a joke? I get laser surgery today and no one bothered to check and see if I was OK? Everybody assumed that I'd be out of the ring for two weeks. But that was only an estimated time of recovery. I'll be back in one month. I invite anyone who's sick and tired of Mima Shimoda's crap, to join me in erasing the scum sucking, low lives out of NWAMEX. I don't care if my allies are tecnicas or rudas! "La Venganza Las Ángelas" (The Avenging Angels) will destroy anyone who stands in our path as we purge Mexico from these twisted luchadoras. Princesa Sujei and Lady Apache, resist her influence now while you can. The fans would hate to see you get hurt on account of your rash decision to join Las Demonias. Personally, I don't care which decision you make.

(The power is turned back on as Taya Valkyrie walks into the shadows. The fans are cheering in support of Taya Valkyrie. Las Demonias get booed for their entire match aganst the tecnicas. When they win the match, the fans start throwing garbage in the ring and at them as they leave the arena. Mima Shimoda yells at the security guards to restore order. They rolls their eyes and join in the chorus of boos against her.)
