NWA Entertainment Raw 05/01/13[/u]
Welcome to Raw, and what a night of action we have tonight, highlighted by our huge main event between Sheamus "Fella" and Damien Sandow for the Raw Heavyweight Title, and The Revolution taking on LAX, the winners facing The Briscoes for the NWA World Tag Team Titles next week on Raw.
Before the show begins, its confirmed that The Family (Bray Wyatt and Luke Gallows) have been traded to Raw. Heading to Smackdown in their place are "The Guru" Sonjay Dutt and "The Party Starter" Curt Hawkins.
It has also been confirmed that Johnny Gargano has officially resigned as leader of The Revolution, citing that they no longer need him and must seek their own path in professional wrestling. The Revolution will now be lead by Chuck Taylor, and Taylor was quoted as saying he wished Gargano all the luck in the world, and that if he ever needed them, they'd be there to back him up.
"The Future" Chris Sabin vs "The Canadian Destroyer" Petey Williams
A battle of two young men who are no strangers to each other, having wrestled many times in the past. And the familiarity was there as they put on a great, fast paced match with the short time they were given, coming up with counters for all of each others signature moves, and indeed counters to the counters. Sabin ended up getting a much needed win, reversing the Canadian Destroyer into the Cradle Shock.
Winner- Chris Sabin
As a result of this win, Chris Sabin will face Johnny Gargano for the NWA World Junior Heavyweight Title next week on Raw!
Bray Wyatt is backstage with Lenny Leonard.
Leonard: Bray Wyatt, you've moved to Raw, but there is still some confusion as to why you have done so. Would you care to explain to us what your reason were for making the switch.
Wyatt smirks and puts his arm around Leonard.
Wyatt: Lenny, Lenny, Lenny, I thought you'd been paying attention. I made my reasons very obvious last week. You see, Raw is filled with not just sinners, but those who have a position filled vision of what professional wrestling should be. This I can't stand for. I will strike down with great vengeance on all sinners on Raw, and together with The Unholy Trinity shine a new, bright light on a sport that in its current form deserves to go to hell.
Before Wyatt can ramble any more, The Revolution of Adam Cole, Kyle O'Reilly and Chuck Taylor enter. Taylor is doing the speaking.
Taylor: Wyatt, you seem to think that your actions come without consequences. We saw what you did to Appetite For Destruction. We saw what you did to Rey Mysterio, and what you did to an innocent fan, and we don't like it one bit. Thats why we are going to give you one chance to leave quietly. If you don't, we will make you leave.
Wyatt: Oh really, you three stooges are going to make me, the new god of professional wrestling leave. You've preached to these people about how your making a Revolution, about changing the sport, and what have you done? Absolutely nothing, thats what. Oh, but you've held some World belts, wow, great job, but you've done nothing since have you, and none of you in your dreams could hope to challenge for the World title. Thats why I'm here, to make a real Revolution, and if you get in my way, your going to pay with your sin filled lives!
Wyatt leaves as Taylor has to be held back by Cole and O'Reilly, as they calm him down ahead of his big match that is next.
Number One Contenders Match
"Captain Charisma" Christian vs "The Kentucky Gentleman" Chuck Taylor
The winner of this match will be the first to face the new Raw Heavyweight Champion next week. And while Christian had a significant experience advantage over Taylor, Taylor more than held his own with a talented and respected veteran of the sport, showing that his star is definitely on the rise. However his downfall once again was the weak arm, which has never truly recovered from Kyle Matthews' attack on it several months ago. And Christian eventually managed to weaken Taylor enough to hit the Killswitch, winning this and the opportunity to become the champion next week.
Winner- Christian
Out to the ring comes "The Project" Tommaso Ciampa to boos from the fans.
Ciampa: Some may say I looked foolish last week, issuing an open challenge which I couldn't win. However this won't stop me from proving myself this week. I challenge anyone who thinks they are man enough to get out here and face me one on one, and this time I will not lose!
The challenge is answered, and its by Richie Steamboat, who himself is in need of a win after losses to Sheamus and Johnny Gargano on the past 2 Raw's.
But suddenly the lights go out, to the confusion of everyone. When they come back on, CIBERNETICO IS IN THE RING! He spits blood into the face of Ciampa and drops him with a Garra Cibernetica! Steamboat tries to run down and help, but Cibernetico grabs his head and shoves him off the apron to the floor. He gets out of the ring and grabs Steamboat by the head, pulls him to the top of the stage, AND GARRA CIBERNETICA'S HIM OFF THE STAGE! Steamboat is unconscious as Cibernetico dims the lights and sits on the stage.
Cibernetico: I warned you all that my tortured soul was ready to return, but you didn't listen, and now these two have had to pay with their lives. But this isn't all, because they are coming. My vision for the sport wasn't truly viable, but theirs is, and I will follow them as they poison all of you. Get ready for destruction like you've never seen in your life.
Cibernetico dims the lights entirely, and when they come back on he is gone.
Winners Get A NWA World Tag Team Title Shot Next Week
The Revolution (Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly) vs LAX ("The Notorious 187" Homicide and "Supermex" Hernandez)
A great tag team match here, as while these two teams were practically as polar opposite as it could get, they were an even match and meshed well. Hernandez was the dominant force however, his power overwhelmed The Revolution, while Homicide's fists and risk taking backed that up. Cole and O'Reilly combated this by trying to ground their two opponents, with O'Reilly working on the ankle of Homicide for much of the contest to setup for the Anklelock. As the match was coming to a climax however, our ran The Family. Gallows distracted the ref as Wyatt crushed Cole in the corner with a Splash Mountain. Homicide then followed this up with the Cop Killa, and that was all.
Winners- LAX
Post match, LAX didn't appreciate the help of The Family, saying they would have won this without their help. The Revolution then recovered, and a brawl ensued between them and The Family which had to be broken up by officials.
Raw Heavyweight Title Tournament Final
Sheamus "Fella" vs "The Intellectual Saviour of the Masses" Damien Sandow
Sheamus overcame Richie Steamboat and Christian to get here, while Sandow had to deal with Chris Sabin and Chuck Taylor on his way to the final. And it was quite a bit more even than some may have expected, as while Sheamus brawled with the same might he always has, not to mention using that considerable power of his, Sandow was smart and was constantly able to take Sheamus to the mat. Sandow worked on the leg of Sheamus for much of this, to the extent that when Sheamus make his comeback, when he missed the Brogue Kick his leg gave way. This gave Sandow the perfect opportunity to nail the Terminus, and Sheamus couldn't answer the count. Sandow becomes the first Raw Heavyweight Champion!
Winner- Damien Sandow
The show ends with Sandow celebrating his win, as Sheamus shakes his head and contemplates what will be next for him as he tries to resurrect his NWA career.
