(OOC: Hopefully I can get my laptop fixed by the end of the week, thankfully my sister let me use her laptop to put out this show.)
The show opens with Joey Styles and Don Callis welcoming the television audience to another edition of NWA 3RW Adrenaline, from Morgantown, West Virginia. Tonight in the main event “The Timber Wolf” Davey Richards takes on “The Scrap Iron” Adam Pearce. But now we head to the ring for the debut of Triple C, “Classic” Colt Cabana.
SINGLES MATCH
John Cena def. “Classic” Colt Cabana
The toilet paper streams were out as John Cena worked against the new comer to 3RW, Colt Cabana. These two men put on a very sports entertainment style match with Cena playing the aggressor, wearing down Cabana with brawling tactics using very little actual wrestling. Cabana made a big come back getting the crowd behind him as he roared back to life. But Cena was able to cut him off and ended the match with the death valley driver, getting into the face of Cabana, doing the “You can’t see me” hand gesture.
AJ Styles was in the interview booth standing with Joel Gertner, airing his grievances with Bonham, being a coward and running away in their X title match. Styles let Bonham know that David Marquez has signed a match for Battle in the Burgh. AJ Styles vs. Brandon Bonham for the X division title, in a steel cage match!
TAG TEAM MATCH
Pure Dynamite (Josh Daniels & John Walters) w/ The Embassy def. The BLK OUT (Alex Colon & Sabian) w/ Julius Smokes
These two teams were both vying for the top spot in the tag rankings here in 3RW, and were pretty evenly matched. The X factor came from the outside as Bonham and Prince Nana caused enough distractions to keep the BLK OUT off their game. Julius Smokes tried to pick a fight with Nana on the outside but Bonham ended up blasting Smokes in the back with the X division title, this caused Alex Colon to pay too much attention to the outside and Walters used the lung blower to put Colon away and score the win for the Embassy!
SINGLES MATCH
“Phenomenal” AJ Styles vs. Kenny Omega
AJ Styles is the man in line for a shot at Brandon Bonham’s X division title, but Kenny Omega is still very much in the hunt ad wanting to get another shot at Bonham. This match was a fast paced spot fest with both guys getting in a lot of their trademark moves, but the X division title again came into play as Bonham rushed the ring blasting Styles with the title! Omega started to try to help Styles but Bonham was able to chase him off. Bonham picked up Styles for the burning mljonir, taking a moment to taunt the camera before driving Styles to the canvas. Bonham got in the face of the knocked out Styles just as security rushed the scene and pulled Bonham away as the show took a commercial break.
SINGLES MATCH
“The Scrap Iron” Adam Pearce w/ C. Edward Vanderpyle def. “The Timber Wolf” Davey Richards
The main event was vicious as Davey Richards used his MMA smash mouth style to punish the old school Adam Pearce. Old School was able to hold its own as Pearce used a dirty playbook that would make even Ric Flair proud. The game plan used by Pearce was to work over the knee of Richards not only to take some of the sting out of his kicks but also to wear him down for the stump puller. Richards is a fighter though and tried to force Pearce to submit, slapping on the ankle lock at every chance. But in the end Pearce had to change gears and was able to pull out the win after planting Richards with a simple but very effective piledriver.
After the match Pearce got up giving the “Aaron Rodger’s touchdown dance” as the show went to black.
