Well, here is my debut show under the NWA Extreme banner, hopefully this will be the promotion for me this time (No doubt I'll know in 5 show time if it is or isn't lol). Anyway, new style of writing for this and a new layout, so hopefully you'll all enjoy it.
NWA Extreme TV 15/02/2013[/u]
Welcome to the first episode of Extreme TV, the most unpredictable night of TV the NWA has to offer. To give an idea of what to expect, all matches on Extreme TV have a 5 minute time limit, so every wrestler must work hard to impress with the limited time they have. All wrestlers will also have a chance to say a few words before each match if they wish, as well as a winners speech if they win their respective matchup.
Lets kick things off with our Proving Grounds match
Proving Grounds
"The Axe Murderer" Ace Steel vs "Crazy" Chad Collyer
Steel: "Somebody's gonna die! Somebody's gonna die. SOMEBODY'S GONNA DIE!
Collyer: When I heard that NWA Extreme didn't have any title belts, I figured they just realised I'd win them all anyway. In fact, the NWA should just hand on over the belts to me, I'm the best of all time!
The match: Steel comes out shouting "Somebody's gonna die" and threatening fans with his axe. And he starts the match by chasing Collyer around ringside with said axe. That is until Collyer trips him coming into the ring, then starts working the leg of Steel in order to setup for the Texas Cloverleaf. But Steel escaped and fired back with right hands, then followed that with a big Suplex. "SOMEBODY'S GONNA DIE!" shouts Steel, as he picks up Collyer and hits the Spinal Shock to get the 3 count.
The aftermath: Steel decides not to cut a promo, instead chasing a fan right out of the arena with his axe!
It is then announced that all main show matches tonight have been drawn at random, in order to give a real challenge to a group of very talented individuals. What sort of matches are we going to see?
"The Chosen" Drew McIntyre vs "The Technical Messiah" Alex Shelley
McIntyre: Tonight, Drew McIntyre not only plans to prove himself once again, he plans to show why he will win the North American Title tournament with a dominating victory. The Chosen One will move one step closer to greatness!
Shelley: Drew McIntyre, maybe your the chosen one, but I have talent on loan from god, and tonight, I'm going to show all of that talent when I beat you in under 5 minutes!
The match: Both men shake hands to begin this match, and the two have a fast paced exchange of holds and counter holds which Shelley definitely won, however McIntyre quickly followed up with a Clothesline to take Shelley to the canvas. McIntyre then put Shelley in a chinlock to wear him down, but the fans turned on him quickly and demanded something more exciting. Realising he could be in trouble if this went to a fans vote, McIntyre picked up Shelley and dropped him with a big Firemans Carry into a Gutbuster. McIntyre then looks to end it, going for the Future Shock, but Shelley reverses into a School Boy for 2. McIntyre goes for another Clotheline, but Shelley ducks underneath and nails an Enziguri. SHELLSHOCK, 1-2-3, Shelly scores what some might call an upset!
The aftermath: "You know, a lot of people have probably doubted me after I've failed to make a serious impact in NEXT or NWA Entertainment, but the fast paced, no rules environment of NWA Extreme fits me. I'm going to prove myself to the wrestling world by becoming the King of Extreme!
"The War Machine" Brock Lesnar vs "The Kentucky Gentleman" Chuck Taylor
Brock Lesnar turned down an interview, saying his actions would do the talking
Taylor: A lot of people might think I'm happy to be here, but after I worked hard to win the Royal Rumble, I don't have a title to fight for now, and that pisses me off. My only chance to truly prove myself is to become the King of Extreme, and I will start that by beating you Brock!
The match: Lesnar charges in and utterly kills Taylor with a Clothesline before the bell even rings, turning him inside out. He quickly picks up Taylor and drops him with a German Suplex, laughing maniacally at his handiwork. He goes outside and grabs a chair, something he really doesn't need, but he wants to use anyway. AND HE LEVELS TAYLOR WITH IT! The fans are loving this, they've wanted blood all night and Taylor is busted wide open. Lesnar calls for the F5 and nails it, and doesn't even bother to pin Taylor, the referee declares Lesnar the winner by knockout, wow!
The aftermath: "Ultimo Guerrero, I dare you to show your face here next week and face me one on one. Because what I did to Chuck Taylor tonight is nothing compared to what I'm going to do to you!"
"The Shooter" Kyle O'Reilly vs "The All American American" Jack Swagger
O'Reilly declined to do a pre-match interview.
Swagger: The All American American is back in singles competition at long last baby, and tonight I take on a man I know well, my former Revolution team mate Kyle O'Reilly. Don't think I haven't forgotten the way you kicked me out of the group along with Johnny, Adam and Chuck, and I will get revenge for that right now!
The match: O'Reilly is out in MMA shorts, and looks like he's here to prove how tough he really is. He and Swagger exchange some holds on the mat in what is the battle of the Anklelocks, with both going after each others ankles. The problem with that was that both men were proficient at reversing ankle based holds, making this a stalemate that looked like it could be our first fan call. That was until "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels ran out of the crowd, smashing O'Reilly's ankle with a chair, which was followed by a Swagger Anklelock that made O'Reilly tap very quickly.
The aftermath: Daniels decides to take the microphone instead of Swagger, who's already leaving, celebrating all the way: "O'Reilly, I know that your him, your Suicide. In fact all of you are, everyone in the NWA, and I'm going to destroy you all. Who the hell are you, and whats your problem with me? WHO ARE YOU?"
Daniels leaves, looking more than a bit paranoid, and sounding it to based upon how incoherent that promo was. Suicide seems to have a big mental advantage over him at the moment.
Wade Barrett vs Kyle Matthews
Barrett: After some recent inactivity, its time for the Barrett Barrage to return to the NWA. And what better way to show it than in a promotion with no rules, where my powerful closed fists are legal, and I can knock out anyone I so please. And tonight Kyle, I'm going to shut that big gob of yours up with a well placed right hand. The winds of change are about to hit the NWA.
Matthews: So again we've changed, and I've been through all of them. It doesn't matter if this is Hybrid Pro, NEXT, Entertainment or Extreme, heck it could be World Pillow Fighting Wrestling and I'd still have the same goal. Alberto Del Rio, when I become the King of Extreme, you'll have no option but to face me. Everyone knows how far I will go to beat an opponent, physically and mentally, and in NWA Extreme I will do both on my way to becoming the NWA World Heavyweight Champion!
The match: Barrett offers a handshake to Matthews post match, and Matthews spits at Barrett, so Barrett answers with a big right hand. Barrett's fists control the action early on, they are lethal and bust Matthews open. The blood loss meant Matthews had to act fast, and after avoiding the Bull Hammer, Matthews went for the Hidaka Lock. Barrett climbed out of the ring still in the hold to force Matthews off of him, but Matthews was relentless. He grabbed a chair and SMASHES Barrett's arm with it repeatedly, he wants to break the arm to send a message to Alberto Del Rio. Back in the ring he puts the Hidaka Lock back on, and Barrett has no choice but to tap to save his arm.
The aftermath: Matthews refuses to let go of the hold, and officials have to run out to drag him off Barrett before he snaps his arm.
"The Intellectual Saviour of the Masses" Damien Sandow vs "The Wildcat" Kofi Kingston
Sandow: Filthy, unwashed masses of New Jersey, Damien Sandow is here to enlighten you all. You see, everybody thinks because this is NWA Extreme that there is no place for tactics, its all about blood and violence. Well you are wrong, and tonight Damien Sandow is going to prove this by giving you all a "wrestling" lesson. Your welcome!
Kingston: BOOM BOOM BOOM! (yes, thats all he had to say)
The match: Sandow starts by taking Kingston to the mat, working him over with a series of slow submission holds to try and look for a weakness, and the fans don't like this one bit, chanting "boring" and " we want blood". Sandow refuses, as he wants to wrestle this match his way, but the distraction of the fans allows Kingston to slip out and nail a big Running Spin Kick to the face. And now Kingston's calling for it, he runs the ropes, shout "BOOM BOOM BOOM" and hits the Boom Drop. He goes for the cover but it only gets 2. Kingston then gets a ladder out from under the ring, runs in and NAILS Sandow in the face with the ladder, busting Sandow open to the fans delight. Kingston then positions the ladder in the corner, and he's going for a ladder-assisted Boom Drop from the top. But Sandow moves and Kingston crashes and burns onto the ladder. Sandow quickly follows up with the Terminus, and pins Kingston with seconds remaining to win. Had it been a fans call Kingston would definitely have won this.
The aftermath: "Uneducated masses of New Jersey, that is how you win a WRESTLING match. And this is how I plan to win all of my matches, I am going to become the King of Extreme without even having to get extreme. I will prove that intellect can overcome violence, your welcome!"
Cibernetico vs Tyler Black
Cibernetico: NWA Extreme, a promotion where there are no rules, and anything goes. Ha ha ha. NWA, you must have lost your minds sanctioning this, this is what I have craved for years, a format where I can do whatever I want, whenever I want. No longer do I require minions, all I need is what I was given at birth, and Tyler Black, you will see my true power. You all will, because your looking at the first King of Extreme, and the new god of professional wrestling!
Black: Cibernetico, you might be a lot bigger than I am, and you might talk a good game, but the bigger they are the harder they fall. I'm taking inspiration from all the little guys who have beaten you Cibernetico, and when I win I'll be one step closer to the Extreme League.
The match: Black's strategy here seemed to be to hit and run, coming off the ropes a few times with big strikes and kicks. The problem was none of those things worked, Cibernetico wasn't even phased. Black then took to the top rope and went for a Dropkick, but that only pushed Cibernetico back an inch or two. Black went up one more time, only for Cibernetico to grab him by the throat. He hits the Garra Cibernetica, and that was all.
The aftermath: Black has to be helped out by officials, as Cibernetico turns the arena black and poses in a green spotlight, laughing maniacally all the while. Could this finally be Cibernetico's shot at glory?
"Supermex" Hernandez vs "The Whole Shebang" Johnny Gargano
Hernandez declined a pre-match interview
Gargano: So my words last week seemed to have an effect. Not only did NWA Entertainment cease to exist, they tried to get rid of me in the process. And surprise surprise, not a single promotion wanted me, because just like I said last week this piece of crap World Junior Heavyweight belt has killed my career. Well I'm not going to stand for it, I'm going to prove I'm better than this, and I'll start by beating a heavyweight in Hernandez, showing that my size doesn't mean a damn when it comes to how far I can go in this business. Hernandez, tonight your going to fall at the hands of "The Whole Shebang"!
The match: Gargano started off by trying to take Hernandez to the mat, because he knew that down there he would have significant advantage. The problem was, you can't take Hernandez down that easily, as he found out when he got tossed across the ring then Body Pressed to the floor. Gargano realised at this point that the no-rules format could be his only chance of beating a man Hernandez's size, so he grabbed the ring bell and SMASHED Hernandez's face in with it! He then grabbed a chair, AND HITS A HURT DONUT ONTO THE CHAIR ON THE FLOOR! The problem now was that he didn't have the strength to get Hernandez back in the ring to pin him. He slowly but surely got him back in, but by the time he did that Hernandez had enough time to recover and kick out! Gargano looks to level Hernandez with the chair, but HERNANDEZ KNOCKS THE CHAIR INTO GARGANO'S FACE! He picks up Gargano ready for the Border Toss, but before he can nail it our time limit expires, and now its up to the fans to decide who wins. The fans let out a big cheer for Gargano, and Hernandez doesn't get quite as big a cheer despite being the fan favourite. Gargano wins by fans decision!
The aftermath: Gargano and Hernandez shake hands surprisingly, with Gargano again saying "Thanks, I've needed competition like this for a long time".
"The Notorious 187" Homicide vs "The Reflection of Perfection" Dolph Ziggler
Homicide: New Jersey brings back a lot of memories. I got my big break with Jersey All Pro Wrestling here, and I'm a 7 time JAPW Heavyweight Champion. Tonight I come back here on the big stage with NWA Extreme, and I have a chance to show all of my friends and family that I made it. Thanks NWA Extreme for giving me a shot in the main event, I won't let you down, because Dolph Ziggler, your going to see what happens when you get on the wrong side of the "Notorious 187".
Ziggler: Oh yeah baby, the reflection of perfection is here. And everybody is going to see tonight that not only are my looks all natural, but my in-ring talent is to. I'm on my way to the top ladies, and when I win you can all come back and join me for some special cocktails in my dressing room. WHOOO!
The match: The reaction for Homicide was deafening, one of the loudest ovations I've heard for a wrestler in a long time. With support like this on his side Homicide is going to be incredibly difficult to beat, and Ziggler found this out early on when he threw some nasty lefts and rights to take him outside of the ring. Homicide then followed it up with a massive Tope Con Hilo that sent him into the second row. With an eye rake Ziggler got an opportunity to get back into this, and he took it by getting a chair and hitting Ziggler over the back with it. He then pulled Homicide back in and tried to wear him down with a Sleeper, and the fans didn't like that one bit. Homicide fought back thanks to the crowds support, nailing a Lariat before pulling out the fork. He went after the forehead of Ziggler with the fork, trying to rip it open, and Ziggler to protect his looks tapped out!
The aftermath: Homicide gets ready to cut a promo to thank the fans, BUT TEDDY HART RUNS OUT FROM THE AUDIENCE! He attacks Homicide from behind with a chair, then goes up to the top rope. SHOOTING STAR LEG DROP! Hart takes the mic.
Hart: IS THIS WHAT YOU CALL EXTREME? I was in the audience tonight expecting some action, and I didn't see any action worthy of the name "Extreme". If this company is extreme then I'm the Easter Bunny. Well Teddy Hart is here to change that, because unlike this has been or that pussy Kyle Matthews, I'm a real loose cannon. I'm too hot for any other TV show, because I won't follow a script, I'll say and do whatever I feel like, whenever I feel like it. And NWA Extreme will be my playground, I dare anyone to stop me!
Hart drops the mic and starts tearing away at Homicide's head with his own fork as officials run out to try and stop Hart as the show comes to an end!
