NWA Extreme TV 22/03/2013[/u]
Welcome to NWA Extreme TV, the most extreme show in the NWA. The Extreme League is just 2 weeks away, and everyone doesn't have long to make it to the big tournament now!
We go backstage where Josh Raymond is preparing for his Proving Grounds match
Raymond: A lot of people say that talent have to come and prove themselves in the Proving Grounds to earn a spot, well not me, because I'm the best. In fact, in that ring I'm pure lightning, and tonight Trik Davis is going to see that. The best wrestler of all time will show his true skill tonight!
Proving Grounds
"Pure Lightning" Josh Raymond vs Trik Davis
Raymond takes Davis down with a few Armdrags to start this one off, and celebrates like he just won the World Series, raising his arms and climbing the turnbuckle. The two lockup and Raymond takes Davis down with another Armdrag, followed by a Dropkick, then kicks up and celebrates again with some fists of victory, Raymond is certainly full of himself. He picks up Davis and slams him down, then goes up top, CORKSCREW 450! 1-2-3, Raymond wins and looks pretty impressive in doing so.
Winner- Josh Raymond
Brodie Lee w/Michael Shane vs Wade Barrett vs "The Angel of Death" Azrieal
Lee and Barrett have a big staredown to start this one off, two big dudes with big attitudes. Azrieal then tries to take advantage with a Dropkick to both, but they just shrug him off, as Lee picks up Azrieal and BODY PRESSS HIM TO THE FLOOR! Azrieal is out of this one for now as Lee and Barrett begin to exchange fists, with neither man really having an advantage. Shane then decides to get involved, tossing in a chair and distracting Barrett while Lee grabs it. BRUTAL CHAIRSHOT TO BARRETT! Lee poses as Shane celebrates on the outside. Azrieal makes his way back in as Lee sets the chair down and calls for the Brodie Bomb on the chair. He lifts up Azrieal, but Azrieal reverses to a Hurricanrana pin, 1-2-3, AZRIEAL WINS! Azrieal scores his first win in NWA Extreme as Lee and Shane cannot believe what has just happened!
Winner- Azrieal
Azrieal runs for the hills as Lee tries to grabs him, what a win for the underdog Azrieal. Barrett and Lee then have another staredown, I don't think things are over between these two!
"The Shooter" Vordell Walker vs Jack Evans
Evans tries to one up Walker with some break-dancing to start this one off, SO WALKER KICKS HIM IN THE FACE! Thats how to stop Evans's games. Walker picks up Evans with ease, and tosses him down with a T-Bone Suplex that send him flying across the ring. Here it comes already, Juji-Gatame, and Evans taps! Wow, what a dominant performance by Walker.
Winner- Vordell Walker
Walker celebrates, but not for long as Chris Dickinson charges from the crowd and attacks from behind. He lays out Walker with the Brain Drill, and once again Dickinson has got the better of Walker. When will these two step into the ring together again?
Jimmy Yang vs "The Viper" Randy Orton
These two lock up to start this contest, and Yang grabs a Headlock, only to be tossed to the ropes. But Yang uses his speed to slip behind Orton and take him down with a Spin Kick. Yang follows this up with a Headscissors and a Hurricanrana, before diving onto Orton on the outside with a Body Press. Yang grabs a chair as he tosses Orton back in the ring and goes for a chairshot, but misses as Orton hits a Dropkick assisted by the chair! Orton lays the chair down near the ropes and is looking for a chair assisted DDT off the ropes. But Yang fights Orton of and takes to the air, hitting a Spin Kick from the top rope. 1-2-NO, near fall. Yang goes back up top looking for the Yang Time, but Orton tosses the ref into the ropes, crotching Yang. Orton then grabs Yang in position for that rope assisted DDT, AND SPIKES HIM WITH IT! I think that might have broke Yang's neck! Orton looks for the RKO as Yang somehow gets up. RKO! 1-2-3, thats all for Yang.
Winner- Randy Orton
KENTA vs Sheamus "Fella"
What a fresh, unique matchup this is, and a really intriguing one at that. The two shake hands to start this one off, and KENTA throws a few kicks as the two circle each other. A lockup sees KENTA thrown across the ring, but KENTA responds with speed, slipping around the back of Sheamus and kicking him in the back of the head. Sheamus then charges, only to be met with another kick to the face. Sheamus goes for a Clothesline and KENTA manages to turn it into a pinning combination for a near fall, then Sheamus finally gets that Clothesline, turning KENTA inside out in the process. Sheamus lifts KENTA up for a Body Press, and while KENTA escaped, Sheamus responded with a punch to the face that stopped KENTA right in his tracks. Sheamus throws KENTA into the corner, and starts clubbing him with blow after blow, firing up in a big way! ITS FELLA TIME. Sheamus nails the Brogue Kick, and thats all she wrote for KENTA, who is without a victory in recent weeks here in NWA Extreme.
Winner- Sheamus
"The Machine Gun" Karl Anderson vs "The Real Showstopper" Michael Shane w/Brodie Lee
Shane spent much of the early part of this match posing for his female fans, as Brodie Lee demanded the fans cheered for Shane. Anderson wasn't phased on bit, as when the two finally did lockup Anderson took him to the canvas with a big punch. Shane complained of a hair pull, but the ref ignored him as Anderson took Shane down with some more punches. Shane went to the outside to recover, but Anderson followed and chased him around the ring until he ran into Brodie Lee. The two had a staredown as Shane got back up, grabbed a chair and whacked Anderson from behind with it. Lee tosses him back into the ring as Shane went up top, Elbow Drop! 1-2-Anderson kicks out. Shane gets Lee to come in the ring and hold Anderson for Sweet Shane Music, but Anderson moves and Shane hits Lee. GUN STUN OUT OF NOWHERE, 1-2-3! Anderson somehow pulled that one out of the bag despite the odds being against him.
Winner- Karl Anderson
Anderson looks to celebrate post match, but gets attacked by Brodie Lee. BRODIE BOMB! Lee and Shane then look to put the boots to Anderson, but an unlikely saviour in Wade Barrett makes his way out for the save, running off the two. Anderson and Barrett stare each other down, but agree thy have a common enemy, and next week they will team up to take on Michael Shane and Brodie Lee!
Drew McIntyre and Jack Swagger vs ACH and Samuray Del Sol
McIntyre and Swagger have agreed to become a permanent team when they are required to have tag matches, while ACH and Del Sol have a lot of respect for each other after their awesome debut match last week. The lack of power makes itself apparent early on, as McIntyre and Swagger manage to toss around ACH and Del Sol with ease, remember this is under tornado tag rules. ACH and Del Sol answer with some high flying manoeuvres, as the two hit dual Dropkicks to take McIntyre and Swagger out of the ring, then hit dual Topes. After some brawling on the outside, Swagger and ACH end up back in the ring as Del Sol and McIntyre continue to fight on the outside. ACH calls for the Best 450 Ever, but misses and eats the canvas! Swagger then gets fired up and hits the Doctor Bomb, and that is enough for Swagger to get the pinfall victory.
Winners- Drew McIntyre and Jack Swagger
Afterwards, ACH and Del Sol start arguing, with Del Sol furious that ACH dropped the ball and lost so easily to Swagger. Then REY MYSTERIO attacks ACH from behind with a cane! Del Sol and Mysterio beat down ACH 2 on 1 as the fans boo, and Mysterio then reveals that he is Samuray Del Sol's new manager, as he plans on mentoring Del Sol so he can become as big a star as he is. While the methods are questionable, you can't deny that the help of a former 7 time World Junior Heavyweight Champion wouldn't be beneficial to someone like Del Sol.
The Prophecy (BJ Whitmer, Dan Maff and Xavier) vs B-Boy, Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez
This one was always going to be utter chaos, what with 6 men all in the ring at once, and it proved to be just that as we got a proper fight here, that was impossible to give play by play on. The theme however was Whitmer and B-Boy brawling back and forth with fists and every weapon they could find, Xavier and Guerrero wrestled as opposed to getting extreme, while Maff and Hernandez used a load of power moves against each other and used weapons more as a platform to hit their big moves on, such as Maff hitting a brutal Half Nelson Suplex onto a steel chair on Hernandez! Hernandez however also managed to get Maff up for a Border Toss through a table that drew a "holy shit" chant from the crowd! B-Boy got taken out of this when Xavier nailed him with a Kiss Your X Goodbye onto a chair, then Hernandez got taken out with a big con-chairto from Whitmer and Xavier. Guerrero was in a 2 on 1 situation, and didn't stand much of a chance, as Whitmer grabbed him. EXPLODER THROUGH A TABLE! That get the 3 count for The Prophecy.
Winners- The Prophecy
No Time Limit
"The Most Hybrid Athlete in the NWA" Kyle Matthews and "The War Machine" Brock Lesnar vs Alberto Del Rio and "The King of Controversy" Teddy Hart
Del Rio actually chose to go at it with Lesnar here, not wanting any part of Matthews who had Teddy Hart to distract him. Del Rio may not have been wise to go after Lesnar though as Lesnar had no trouble tossing Del Rio around, smashing him with punches and a brutal German Suplex that sent Del Rio through the ropes to the floor. Matthews and Hart had a much more even exchange, as Hart used all the low, dirty tricks he used against Matthews last week and more, which was the only was he could stop Matthews outwrestling him really. But Hart proved he has talent by hitting an amazing Open Hart Surgery on Matthews that would have gotten the win had Lesnar not broken up the cover. Del Rio came close to a win to, hitting Matthews with an Enziguri that again got a near fall. Lesnar however dropped Del Rio with an F5, and before Lesnar could make the cover Del Rio left the ring, grabbed his belt and stumbled up the ramp, running from this match and leaving Hart for dead. Hart was easy pickings for Matthews and Lesnar then, as Lesnar nailed another F5 and Matthews locked in the Hidaka Lock to make him tap.
Winners- Kyle Matthews and Brock Lesnar
As Alberto smirks and walks up the ramp, out comes NWA Extreme Owner Magnus D. He says that next week Alberto will be putting his belt on the line in a warm-up match for the supershow, AGAINST BROCK LESNAR! Alberto looks horrified as Lesnar signal to Alberto to bring it on, while Kyle Matthews looks very annoyed, he has already stated he wants Alberto for that belt, not Lesnar, and if Brock wins next week then it will be Lesnar and Matthews at the supershow. What will happen, you'll have to tune in next week to find out, see you then folks!
