As ‘Oh Canada’ plays, LuFisto, Nattie & Taya come to the ring; Taya is carrying the Canadian flag. They get a good pop as Taya plants the flag on the ringpost. Team Asia is introduced and come out carrying their own flags; Syuri with the Philippine flag, Borte with the Mongolian flag and Gail with the North Korean flag. A wave of anger spreads through the crowd when they recognize the flag Gail is carrying. Security have to stop several fans from trying to get over the railings and grabbing at Gail. Gail is relishing in the heat as the enter the ring.
The match is fairly even when Gail and Syuri are in the ring. But once Borte is tagged in, her inexperience and awkwardness shows up as LuFisto bounces her from pillar to post. LuFisto fires Borte into her corner and motions for Gail to come in. Gail makes the tag and reluctantly comes in. Before she has a chance to do anything, LuFisto catches her in a rear naked choke and pulls her to the mat. Gail struggles but quickly passes out.

Team Mexico comes to the ring, following a mariachi band that is playing ‘La Cucaracha’. Princesa Blanca is aggressively waving the Mexican flag. ‘Born in the USA’ starts blaring and Team USA comes out. Jessika, Allysin and Stephanie are all wearing camouflage tights and waving American flags. Both teams try to intimidate each other before the bell. The ref gets them to their corners and calls for the bell.
Beth teams go back at each other in an all out brawl. When it finally does settle down into one on one, the match is very awkward as everyone is trying every shortcut they know to get a cheap victory. Multiple pin and submission attempts are broken up by both teams and every chance for double teaming and triple teaming is taken. During another all out brawl, Amapola manages to hit Stephanie with a backcracker and get the three count.

This match is a polar opposite from the last match, two teams the fans hate to two teams the fans will love. Lin, Lisa & Martini come out all carrying a large Hong Kong flag. Brian May’s rendition of ‘God Save the Queen’ plays as Britani Knight and the Blossom Twins come to the ring with Britani carrying the Union Jack. After placing their flags on the ringposts, they meet in the middle of the ring and shake hands.
A great matchup between two highly skilled teams with TEAM UK using a ground based offence and Team UK going to the air (even Martini). The match swings back and forth for almost ten minutes. The match ends up with Lisa Cheng and Holly Blossom. Lisa gets the advantage with her martial arts skills. After landing a round kick to Holly’s head, Lisa goes to the top turnbuckle and lands a Skytwister Press. The ref makes the three count.

Team Japan are waving Japanese flags and get booed as they come to the ring as there is still some hard feelings from WW2. Team Rest of the World are introduced and come out to the ring as Kongar-Ol Ondar’s ‘Tuva Groove’ plays. Evie is carrying the New Zealand flag, Zeuxis is carrying the Puerto Rican flag, and Lorisa is proudly carrying the flag of Tuva before her debut match.
Hiroyo starts for Team Japan. She waves aside Evie, points at Lorisa and waves her to come in. Evie tags in Lorisa. Lorisa comes in and walks straight at Hiroyo. Hiroyo tries to intimidate Lorisa with her height and size advantage. Hiroyo begins poking Lorisa as she is talking. In the blink of an eye, Lorisa dives down and takes Hiroyo facedown to the mat with a double leg takedown. Lorisa gets on Hiroyo’s back and locks on a hammerlock. Hiroyo scrambles and grabs the bottom rope. Hiroyo gets to her feet and charges at Lorisa. Lorisa side-steps Hiroyo, grabs her around the waist and German suplexes her. Hiroyo is shocked, but instead of charging in again, she tags in Kaori.
Kaori waves in Zeuxis. Lorisa makes the tag to Zeuxis. Zeuxis comes in over the top rope and catches Kaori with a headscissors takedown. Zeuxis out to make a statement and never gives Kaori an opening. After a couple minutes, Zeuxis locks Kaori in a leg trap camel clutch. Kaori has no choice but to tap out.

Semi-finals
Team Mexico are introduced and start to come out. When the mariachi band starts to play ‘La Cucaracha’ again, Team Mexico assault them. They lay the boots to the musicians; Amapola busts the guitar over the guitarists head and Blanca throws the trumpet into the water. They continue walking to the ring, laughing and smiling. Team Canada are introduced and proudly come to the ring with Taya carrying the Maple Leaf.
Amapola and Nattie start the match. It is a fairly even matchup until Nattie gets the edge with her power advantage. Amapola manages to turn it around using several shortcuts. When Amapola feels she has Nattie worn down, she hit’s the backcracker and goes for a pin. The ref starts the count …1 …2 Sujei comes in and pulls Amapola off. Amapola gets up and angrily confronts Sujei. Amapola shoves Sujei to the mat and is yelling at her. While the argument is going on, Nattie has time to get up and make a tag to LuFisto.
Blanca is trying to warn Amapola that LuFisto is coming up behind her but Amapola is oblivious to Blanca’s warnings. LuFisto grabs Amapola and lifts her onto her shoulders then drives her to the mat with a Burning Hammer. LuFisto makes the cover and gets the three count.

Both teams get a good pop from the crowd. They exchange handshakes in the middle of the ring and go back to their corners. Zeuxis and Lin will start for their teams. The ref calls for the bell.
Zeuxis tries to use her lucha style to confuse Lin but Lin easily adapts to the lucha style and eventually gets the edge on Zeuxis. Zeuxis gets frustrated and tries a few shortcuts but is unable to get an edge on Lin. Frustrated, Zeuxis makes a hard tag to Evie. Lin is easily able to adapt to Evie’s style before tagging out to Lisa.
The match continues back and forth with both teams making several tags. The tags end up having Lin and Lorisa in the ring. Lorisa’s high-level amateur experience helps her stay in the match without getting a sustained offence against Lin. When Lin thinks she has Lorisa worn down, she goes to the top turnbuckle and comes off with a moonsault, but Lorisa rolls out of the way just in time. Lorisa quickly locks a guillotine choke on Lin and also hammerlocks one of her arms. Lin struggles, but Lorisa’s grip is too tight, and is forced to tap out.

Ring Announcer Alyson Hau - Thank you all for coming here tonight and thank you to the great people of Singapore for your tremendous hospitality this week. While we are giving the girls a bit of time to get ready before the main event, we have a special guest for you. Please welcome to NWA Women’s World Champion… KANA!!!
Kana comes to the ring, waving the flag of Singapore.
Kana - Thank you for your great reception tonight. All the girls have been raving about the whole experience tonight. This is a night that they will all remember as a highlight of their careers. As a show of appreciation for everyone here tonight, if you hang onto your tickets, you can use those to watch either the first or second night of the Lucha Loca Internacional Supershow which will be shown live at the Sands Convention Center right across this beautiful harbour.
Myself and several of the girls you have seen in action here tonight will be on that amazing Supershow. I will be defending my title against the very skilled and very talented Dark Angel. If I manage to successfully defend my title, I would love to defend it here in Singapore sometime. Maybe on our next visit here, one of you could be wrestling here in this ring.
If you are interested in becoming a wrestler, keep watching our website for dates for open auditions. Three of the girls you have seen in action and one of our wrestlers are graduates of our dojo. Will you be the next?
I’m sure you didn’t come here to listen to me talk, so let’s get the girls back in here for our main event.
World Women’s Trios Cup - Final
The underdog team of Evie, Lorisa and Zeuxis come to the ring to a great ovation from the crowd. Lorisa is looking very nervous. Team Canada are introduced and come out, looking calm and confident. Team Canada come across the ring to shake hands but Evie holds up a hand to stop them. She steps to the middle of the ring and performs a traditional haka. After Evie performs the haka, both teams shake hands and return to their corners.
Lorisa convinces her teammates to let her start while Nattie will start for Team Canada. The ref calls for the bell. Nattie and Lorisa lock up right away. Despite a noticeable size disadvantage, Lorisa is able to block Nattie’s power. Nattie looks a bit shocked at Lorisa’s abilities but her experience pays off and she manages to get Lorisa on the mat but Lorisa quickly escapes and makes a tag to Zeuxis. Zeuxis is a lot less cautious and charges right at Nattie. Nattie counters Zeuxis’ aggression and takes her to the mat a couple times before tagging in LuFisto.
Zeuxis’ aggression doesn’t work against LuFisto either so she tags out to Evie. The match continues in Team Canada’s favour for quite a while. Lorisa is the only member of Team Rest of World that manages to get any sustained offence against Team Canada. The last tags bring in Taya and Evie. Evie continues where Lorisa left off and works over Taya with series of kicks. Evie thinks she has Taya done and goes to the top turnbuckle for a moonsault. Taya has enough left to get up and knock Evie off balance causing her to crotch herself on the top turnbuckle. Taya grabs Evie and racks her across her shoulders. Taya Falls to the mat in a sitout position, jarring Evie and dropping her. Taya covers Evie and gets the three count.
