Well I took some of Joe's advice to heart, and I had a lot more fun writing this show. Things are going to change with NWA Extreme as the ending will explain, and I will explain very soon, but here's the second NWA Extreme League.
NWA Extreme Presents: The Extreme League #2
Its time to get extreme, yes welcome to the most extreme night of action in the NWA's calendar month, The Extreme League. Tonight 8 men will battle with no rules, and only 1 man can walk away with the title of King of Extreme. Here is the lineup for our 1st round matches, each of which must have a winner
Before the tournament begins, it is confirmed that all outside interference in this tournament is banned, and if any member of the NWA Extreme roster interferes in tonight's matchup, whether wrestlers with a grudge, group members like The Prophecy or managers like Rey Mysterio, they and the offending wrestler will be suspended indefinitely!
"The Chosen One" Drew McIntyre vs Dan Maff
McIntyre has the Scottish flag with him as his weapon of choice, while Maff bring a chair. McIntyre immediately swings at Maff with the flag, but misses and Maff runs through him with a Lariat. He covers McIntyre but only gets a near fall. Maff goes for a Half Nelson, but McIntyre escapes and Clotheslines Maff down a few times, before back body dropping over the top to the floor. McIntyre follows and the two brawl outside the ring, with Maff using an electrical cable to choke McIntyre at one point and the match even briefly going into the crowd before getting back in the ring. McIntyre goes for the Future Shock, but Maff reverses into A HALF NELSON SUPLEX ON THE CHAIR! he fans chant "holy shit" as Maff makes the cover, 1-2-NO, McIntyre somehow kicked out. Maff picks up McIntyre and is looking for the Burning Hammer, but McIntyre reverses, FUTURE SHOCK! 1-2-NO, how did Maff escape that! McIntyre looks for another, but Maff lifts up McIntyre, BURNING HAMMER! 1-2-3, Maff wins our opening contest, and it was a great match.
Winner- Dan Maff
Xavier vs Sheamus "Fella"
Sheamus has a grudge to settle with The Prophecy, and he has the chance to do that against two separate members if he can beat Xavier tonight. Xavier has a chair with him much like his partner did, and immediately charges at Sheamus with it, but Sheamus ducks and charges the ropes, BROGUE KICK ASSISTED BY THE CHAIR! 1-2-3, Sheamus wins already, wow! Thats how you make a statement, Dan Maff better watch out later on tonight!
Winner- Sheamus
"The Viper" Randy Orton vs Samuray Del Sol
Rey Mysterio is nowhere to be seen, I guess with his interference banned he must feel he doesn't have a role to play in this matchup. The two lockup and Del Sol takes Orton down with a Armdrag, and Orton doesn't seem that phased. The two lockup again and Orton grabs a Headlock, and Del Sol throws him into the ropes, leapfrogs and takes Orton down with another Armdrag. But this time Orton charges and takes Del Sol down with a Clothesline followed by a Dropkick, as the two then brawl on the outside. The match goes back in the ring briefly, before Del Sol throws Orton outside the ring and hits an impressive Suicide Dive, taking Orton down. Del Sol throws Orton back in and waits at the ropes for him to get up, nailing a Springboard Hurricanrana for a very near fall. Del Sol looks for the Samuray Kick, but Orton avoids it and takes Del Sol down with an Olympic Slam, leaving both men lying on the canvas. Orton makes it up first, taking Del Sol down with a series of Clotheslines, followed by a Powerslam, and pounds the canvas in anticipation for the next move. RKO! 1-2-3, Orton advances in what was a pretty solid matchup here.
Winner- Randy Orton
"The Shooter" Vordell Walker vs "The Machine Gun" Karl Anderson
Arguably the two fastest rising stars in NWA Extreme, and what a matchup it was going to be between these two. The two have an intense staredown to begin things, and then go right at it with rights and lefts, neither man letting up. Walker manages to rock Anderson with a right hand, nearly sending him to the canvas, but Anderson fights back, and soon its Anderson who has Walker reeling. He hits a series of rights, and then knocks Walker to the canvas with one final right, very impressive. Anderson then throws Walker off the ropes and takes him down with a big Spinebuster, getting a near fall. Anderson goes outside the ring, throwing in a chair and sliding in a table. He gets the chair ready, but Walker ducks and KICKS THE CHAIR IN ANDERSON'S FACE! Walker then pick up Anderson, T-BONE SUPLEX ON THE CHAIR! Walker goes for the cover, but it only gets 2. Walker locks the Juji-Gatame, and Anderson is struggling not to tap here, but makes it up to his feet, lifts up Walker and tosses him to the canvas, forcing him to release the hold. Anderson sets up the table in a dazed state, but Walker gets up and grabs Anderson from behind, nailing a German Suplex for another near fall. Walker then lifts Anderson up onto the top rope, and looks like he wants a Superplex through that table. But Anderson blocks it, repositions himself, AND HITS THE GUN STUN FROM THE TOP THROUGH THE TABLE! Anderson covers Walker, 1-2-3
Winner- Karl Anderson
So our semi finals are as follows
Dan Maff vs Sheamus "Fella"
These two wrestled just two days prior to this rematch, and Maff got the biggest upset of his career in defeating the former World Heavyweight Champion that day, albeit it was after interference from Maff's team mates BJ Whitmer and Xavier who can't get involved in this one. The two immediately start firing away with fists on each other, brawling all the way to the outside of the ring and into the crowd, using chairs, popcorn and just about anything they could get their hands on to beat the hell out of each other, the crowd loving every second. The match finally got back to ringside, and Maff managed to get an advantage by whacking Sheamus with the ring bell. Hen then lifts Sheamus up impressively, BURNING HAMMER THROUGH THE ANNOUNCERS TABLE! Sheamus is out cold and Maff poses cockily, but he has to win it in the ring. He slowly gets Sheamus out of the wreckage of the table, and drags him to the ring, rolling him back in, and finally goes for the cover, 1-2-NO, SHEAMUS KICKS OUT! How did he manage to escape that after one of the most brutal moves we have seen in NWA Extreme. Maff is frustrated and grabs a chair, setting it up and begs Sheamus to get up, sitting down and clapping to get the fans to help him up, why would you do that? Sheamus makes it to his feet and Maff goes for a Half Nelson Suplex through that setup chair, but Sheamus reverses to the Celtic Cross THROUGH THE CHAIR! Sheamus is still too dazed to take advantage, but so is Maff and the two struggle to their feet. Maff misses a Lariat, but eats a Brogue Kick from Sheamus! 1-2-3, Sheamus wins and somehow advances after taking a vicious beating from Maff. Maff definitely proved he can fight with the best despite his loss.
Winner- Sheamus
"The Viper" Randy Orton vs "The Machine Gun" Karl Anderson
Both these men use variations on the same finishing move, so this one is going to be very interesting to say the least, as we will find out who's is more effective. The two lockup after a staredown, and it ends at a stalemate. A second lockup and Orton grabs a Headlock, but Anderson reverses to one of his own, taking Orton to the canvas. Orton fights his way up, escapes the Headlock by throwing Anderson into the ropes, but Anderson takes him right back down with a massive Shoulder Block. Anderson fires away with a load of stomps, forcing Orton outside the ring, and Anderson gives chase, only to eat a chair shot from Orton! Orton throws Anderson back in the ring, following with the chair, and smashes Anderson again and again with that chair, brutalising him with it! Orton them looks on with a sadistic smile on his face, wiping some of the blood that is pouring from a cut on Anderson's forehead and wiping it over his, this man is sick! Orton then pounds the canvas, readying Anderson for the RKO, but Anderson avoids it, GUN STUN! it can happen at anytime, and both men are down, Anderson unable to take advantage. Orton is to his feet first and tries to grab Anderson, but he fires away with a forearm to the stomach, then throws Orton into the ropes, SPINEBUSTER ON THE CHAIR! 1-2-NO, Orton somehow kicks out. Anderson picks up Orton, ONLY TO EAT AN RKO! 1-2-NO, HOW DID ANDERSON KICK OUT? Orton is fuming now and looks like he is sizing him up for the Punt Lock, that could end Anderson's career considering the blood loss he's already suffered. He charges but misses, GUN STUN! 1-2-3, ANDERSON WINS! Karl Anderson is going to the final to face Sheamus, and what a matchup that is going to be!
Winner- Karl Anderson
We then have a brief intermission, where we go over the action that's already taken place, in order to give time for Anderson to rest up and get his cut looked at. Then its time for the final to get underway.
Sheamus "Fella" vs "The Machine Gun" Karl Anderson
Anderson has had stitches put in his cut to stop the bleeding, but whether that will save him in this match is another story, specially considering Sheamus is a former World Heavyweight Champion and a man who know you have to do utterly anything to win a match with this much at stake. Sheamus and Anderson lockup and Sheamus grabs a Headlock, immediately looking to go for that cut, but Anderson fights him off and the two start throwing fists. Neither man can get an advantage, and you have to feel that we are watching two of the very best brawlers in the NWA do battle here. The match spills outside, where Anderson smashes a fan's sign over Sheamus's head, and then tosses Sheamus into the ringpost. Anderson grabs a chair and tries to smash Sheamus's head against that post with it, but Sheamus avoids it and boots the chair into Anderson's face, re-opening the cut! Sheamus throws Anderson back in and starts firing away with rights on that cut, busting Anderson open further, and the fans are actually booing Sheamus for stooping quite low with this attack. But you have to do what you have to do, and Sheamus is doing just that, thats why he's a winner at the highest level. Sheamus shouts "ITS FELLA TIME" as he looks for the Brogue Kick, but Anderson ducks, GUN STUN! Anderson can't make the cover as the blood loss is too much, but Sheamus is able to battle back to his feet and fire up, he charges at Anderson AND EATS A SPINEBUSTER! 1-2-NO, Sheamus kicks out. A bloody Anderson stumbles to his feet and grabs a chair, a crazed look in his eye. HE SMASHES SHEAMUS OVER THE HEAD WITH IT! Anderson throws the chair down and calls for a Gun Stun on the chair. He picks Sheamus, but he throws him off, BROGUE KICK! 1-2-NO, ANDERSON SOMEHOW KICKED OUT! Sheamus cannot believe it, and now he calls for the Celtic Cross. He gets Anderson up for it, but Anderson escapes at the last minute, GUN STUN ON THE CHAIR! 1-2-3, ANDERSON WINS, KARL ANDERSON IS THE KING OF EXTREME!
Winner- Karl Anderson
The fans explode for Anderson's victory, he didn't look like he was going to pull this one off when Sheamus was bloodying him with fists, but a lucky break with the Gun Stun turned the match and Anderson almost seemed destined to win after surviving the Brogue Kick.
Anderson puts on the crown as Sheamus graciously offers a handshake, and Anderson accepts. The two celebrate with a beer bash, but before the show ends, out to the ring comes Magnus D, the owner of NWA Extreme.
Magnus: Well done Karl, I knew you could win tonight. I've had faith in you since you came to this company, given you the ball and you've run with it and proved yourself as the King of Extreme. But there's still one more test awaiting you. You see, I have determined that NWA Extreme needs a champion, a man who all those guys in the locker room can work towards, and that man is one of two. The one person is you Karl as the 2nd King of Extreme, the other is the 1st King of Extreme, Brock Lesnar! Therefore next week on NWA Extreme TV, it will be you Karl Anderson taking on Brock Lesnar, with the winner being the first NWA Extreme Champion!
What a huge announcement there, Anderson looks pumped as the show comes to an end.
