DARK MATCHES
Courtney Rush & "The Canadian Ninja" Portia Perez vs. Mickie Knuckles & "The Anti-Diva" Serena Deeb
Est. Time: 00:14:00
Knuckles would gain heat early by gouging the eyes of Perez as the match got started, breaking free of her grasp in an attempt by the Canadian to collar and elbow tie up, instead receiving two thumbs buried into her retinal sockets. Knuckles and Deeb would choke their opponents against the ropes and use these sorts of demeaning, underhanded tactics early to draw the disdain of the crowd, who took a few minutes to get into it, but were impressed by some of the fast lucha libre inspired counters of Perez, along with the quick armdrags and dropkicks of Rush, to counteract the plodding and methodical approach of their roughneck opponents. Knuckles would prove power can sometimes overcome technique, as the punishment had shown signs of wear on her opponents and Rush would find herself in the latter stages of the contest unable to lift the sizable Indiana native as she attempted an Exploder Suplex, leaving her in a precarious position for a Double Underhook DDT, and that was enough to get Knuckles the pinfall win. This match had some good story telling, with a few instances of miscommunication. The crowd wasn't particularly into much of it, but it did receive some decent reactions by the end, as the ladies did a good job of selling, if nothing else.
"Die Hard" Eddie Edwards vs. Tyler Black
Est. Time: 00:16:00
The feeling out process early must have frustrated Edwards, as Black had the fans going behind him from the first couple of minutes in and that just seemed to set him off. Edwards is very quick, but Black is especially so, leading Edwards to deduce that he needed to perhaps flatten the tires on Black's very fleet motor scooter, so to speak, attacking the left leg of Black earnestly and with great tenacity through out. Black is a versatile guy, though, and while his favorite weapons were being incapacitated, he would resort to just good ol' fashioned fist fighting to get an edge on the superior mat grappler. Black would show the fire that won him over with the fans after withstanding some vicious knife edged chops around the outside of the ring, laying into his Bostonian adversary with some stiff chops of his own, following up with some well placed kicks that seemed to hurt him, but obviously hurt Edwards more so, leading the Killer Kowalski trained hooker to takeover his leg and send him knee first into the guardrail! From there, he worked over the fans, but not without stomping the appendage and then lifting him again, this time driving him into the turnpost by his injured knee. Black would manage to kick out of pin attempts focused on putting pressure on his leg, battling out of leg locks with counters, then the ropes, before working his way back up. Edwards would attempt to hit his Die Hard Driver, but Black shocked him by flipping out of it and catching him with a big clothesline, followed by a Springboard Gamenjiri, which put both men down. The fans were all into it, as the referee threatened to count both men out, the cadence ringing out at eight before Black would manage to reach his hobbled feet. Edwards would quickly follow suit and kick him in the left leg, sweeping him down and trying to lock on the Achilles Hold, but Black would kick his way out with his right foot, getting up and reversing a whip to the corner, only to fly in and catch buckles to the face and chest after Edwards made his dodge. Edwards would post Black up and pull him out, crushing him with a Backpack Stunner, but would only get a two count! Edwards would lock on his second Half Boston Crab of the night, but Black managed to escape it, rolling under him and trying to Inside Cradle him to the mat, but Edwards escaped. Black would sweep out Edwards' legs as he advanced, rolling to his feet and catching him as he got a knee with the Avada Kedavra kick out of what seemed to be nowhere, quickly falling on his opponent, hooking the near leg, and earning the three count to the cheers of the audience! The crowd was energized there, and we head to the taped portion of the show.

Opening Video
Rounded Time: 00:00:30
Opening Segment
Est. Time: 00:00:30
Mike Tenay and Scott Hudson really briefly welcome the fans to the show, congratulating Alex Shelley on winning the War Zone title in Mexico City on Monday, and now receiving a shot at the inaugural NWA North American champion Dolph Ziggler tonight as an added bonus for that victory. They continue to banter about the card tonight as the opening match gets underway.
BJ Whitmer vs. Ron "The Truth" Killings
Est. Time: 00:05:00
Whitmer represents NWA Extreme and the Prophecy group, but he has a bone to pick with Chris Dickinson, so he continues to show his face around here, as his group looks to deal with Dickinson's Cleansing outfit. Ron Killings is a well traveled veteran and very charismatic, so the fans were in for a treat, as this was an energetic outing by both men which saw very little wasted motion. Killings likes to have a good time, but you could see in the opening minute his attitude went serious after some big chops and kicks from Whitmer. Whitmer would manage to end this thing very quickly by catching "Truth" mid-Truth Conviction, nailing a knee to his face as Killings lifted him in the front chancery, bringing him down with the Reverse STO and then applying his deadly Peruvian Necktie, causing Killings to tap almost instantaneously.
Mike Tenay:
BJ Whitmer had a fire burning in him tonight, as he looked like he might pop Killings' head off with the tenacity of that chokehold, Scott!
Scott Hudson:
All business, Mike, that's what he was all about, as he looks to redeem himself after two tough losses to his arch rival Dickinson. You can see that as he talks into the camera, he is a man with something to prove.

Chris Hero vs. "The Guyanese Goliath" Ezekiel Jackson
Est. Time: 00:05:00
Hero is one of the most talented and versatile men in the wrestling business, but when you're facing a guy as big and powerful as Ezekiel Jackson, all bets are off. Jackson is a good natured guy, and he was able to get the crowd behind him just with his attitude, clapping and motioning for the fans to get behind him after he'd hit a big shoulderblock or clothesline, the fans popping him when he was able to catch Hero with a big Military Press Slam. Hero would eat a couple of clotheslines in the corner, but would duck under a clothesline attempt closer to the middle of the ring, rolling Big Zeke up with a School Boy. Ezekiel would try to charge him again, but Hero would dodge it and shove him into the ropes chest first, popping him with a big Rolling Elbow to the back of his head. Ezekiel would bounce off the ropes after that, clearly dazed, before catching big running Elbow Smash to the face, and that was it! Hero got the pinfall.
Mike Tenay:
That knockout power of Chris Hero cannot be understated. He proves here tonight that it doesn't matter how big and powerful you are, he can take you out with one of those deadly elbow strikes.
Scott Hudson:
If Hero can touch you, there is always a chance your night is getting cut short.
Backstage Segment
Est. Time: 00:01:00
Backstage, we see "The Perfect Specimen" Dolph Ziggler arriving with his gym bag over his shoulder. The first man to greet him is the General Manager of War Zone Wrestling, Shane Douglas, with a hearty handshake. Douglas expresses how excited he is that Ziggler could make it, and Ziggler responds, "the pleasure's all yours, I'm sure," looking a bit dissatisfied with the settings. Ziggler proceeds to tell Douglas to just point him where he needs to go so he can, "get this over with." We then head back to the ring.
"The Female Terminator" Alissa Flash & "The Queen of Wrestling" Sara Del Rey vs. "The Punk Princess" Christina Von Eerie & "The Banshee" MsChif
Est. Time: 00:05:30
Von Eerie and MsChif would charge across the ring right as the bell sounded, sending this match to the outside as a brawl, which excited the live fans quite a bit, as it was completely unexpected! CVE would battle Flash, while MsChif would try to handle Del Rey, but it was "The Queen" who managed to get things back into the ring after some spirited exchanges. Del Rey would test the flexibility of MsChif, which is immense, locking on a bridging Liontamer and nearly bending her completely in half, but MsChif would actually manage to slip out from under it, screaming wildly as she blasts Del Rey with left and right slaps. The match would come to an end with Flash catching MsChif on top and delivering a Super Air Raid crash, getting a huge pop from the fans as the referee counted to three!
Mike Tenay:
Wow! Utilizing an Air Raid Crash there, Alissa Flash was able to get the pinfall win in very impressive fashion!
Scott Hudson:
MsChif was crushed right on the back of her neck there, that was some serious impact! I am impressed with these ladies tonight.

In-Ring Segment
Est. Time: 00:04:30
Out to the ring comes the first ever WZW Champion, Alex Shelley carrying his championship belt to a load of cheers from his admiring fans here in Cleveland! Shelley grabs the stick from a ring hand and thanks everyone who supported him on his way to this sterling accomplishment in his resume, stating that he plans to be a fighting champion and all comers are welcome. He then says that the perks of winning that tournament have gone "two fold" as he now has a chance to face "Mr. Ass" for the North American championship! He says he just hopes the Road Dogg doesn't run in and sully things up! This leads to "The Perfect Specimen" Dolph Ziggler making his way out, holding his championship over his shoulder. Ziggler mockingly laughs at Shelley's comparing him to Billy Gunn, calling it cute, but unimaginative and irrelevant. Ziggler says he went through the very best talent in the world to win his championship, and says Shelley had better just worry about his ass instead of making jokes about "Mr. Ass," cause his going to get KICKED all around the Wolstein Center tonight! And, according to him, he's never had to rely on a tag team partner to make it in this business, unlike Shelley! Shelley smiles and says Dolph should think about kicking his spray tanning habit before he thinks about kicking anyone's ass, as he thinks the fumes are starting to affect his brain... or maybe it's all the hair bleach, he's not sure, but regardless, he's going to find out that he didn't beat the best in the world, because he didn't face Detroit's finest, and tonight, he says he's taking two belts with him back to the 313! Dolph waves Shelley off with both hands, looking unimpressed as he leaves, while Shelley hops out, his music playing as he slaps the fans hands and heads to the back.
Jinder Mahal vs. "Brooklyn's Flyest" JTG
Est. Time: 00:06:00
There isn't much from the crowd for this match early on, though JTG tries to get the fans behind him with claps and call outs, while Mahal just sneers and stalks his opponent. The fans would eventually warm up after JTG hit some more high impact moves, but Mahal would manage to slow it down at about the third minute, using some ground and pound before locking on a Camel Clutch! JTG would get to the ropes to break. JTG would fire off some big elbows to Mahal's mid-section, rallying with heavy right hands. Mahal would try to pull the ref in front of a right hand, but JTG stopped himself, opening himself up for a kick to the gut, which Mahal tried to follow up with a Karachi Valley Driver, but JTG slid off his back, laid into him with a big forearm to the neck, before hitting a Back Drop into a Neckbreaker to score the win in his debut! The fans gave JTG a pretty good reaction here.
Mike Tenay:
"Brooklyn's Flyest" pulls out a nice high impact neckbreaker to put down the Punjab native tonight! A very solid debut for this young man.
Scott Hudson:
There's a lot of potential with this guy, and with that high energy offense and a good attitude, he could definitely go far.
Backstage Segment
Est. Time: 00:01:00
In the back, we see BJ Whitmer standing, and he proclaims, "Tonight was just a little message," going on to say that he has now lost two times, but it only makes him hungrier, ready for more! From out of nowhere, Chris Dickinson flies onto the scene and attacks! Dickinson and Whitmer are scrapping on the floor, Dickinson yelling out, "WHEN YOU GONNA LEARN, BITCH!" Officials and road agents hit the scene, separating the two men who refuse to stop trying to charge one another.
Commercial Break
Est. Time: 00:02:00
Mistico & Ricochet vs. "X-Rated" Shiima Xion & Sonjay Dutt
Est. Time: 00:07:00
Both teams would have the fans generally behind them, though Xion and Dutt came off very arrogant. The fans would get behind Mistico after Dutt resorted to an throat gouge to slow down the pace a bit, Dutt being well versed in fast paced wrestling but not really ready for the onslaught of the Mexico City native at this point. Mistico would manage to battle back after some quick tags and double team attacks from Xion and Dutt, leading Ricochet to come in hot and send his opponents to the outside, taking to the air with a spectacular dive, which lead to Mistico getting a second to catch his breath and then hit a Rotating Moonsault Plancha of his own, really getting this crowd riled up! Xion would catch Ricochet up top and deliver a big Cross Arm Iconoclasm to get a two count, but Ricochet showed determination. Xion would hit a Gory Bomb on Ricochet before tagging out to Dutt, who looked like he as going for a Moonsault or maybe his Moonstomp, but Ricochet rolled, causing Dutt to land on his feet and try a Standing Moonsault, but Ricochet got his knees up, following up with a Backslide Driver that sent him rolling all the way to the floor! Xion would head in, springboarding with a big Dropkick to send Ricochet out, only to get caught with a Flying Huracanrana from Mistico, leading to Mistico running and catching him coming up in La Mistica! With Dutt on the outside, Xion had noone to save him, and had to tap out! The fans are on their feet for that hot finish!
Mike Tenay:
Satellite headscissors into that Fujiwara armbar, what a great move to put away Shiima Xion!
Scott Hudson:
Four amazing high fliers were in there tonight, but Mistico showed some real grace and poise, and that put him in a great position to capitalize and Xion caught the raw end of the deal! The masked man is very impressive in his debut, as these fans got a little lucha fever I think, Mike!
Backstage Segment
Est. Time: 00:01:00
Backstage, it is "The Big Deal" Chuck Taylor seen pacing back and forth. Taylor says he has tried and tried, but respect just isn't coming from the boys in the back or the fans, so now, tonight, he makes it his mission to prove why he is the greatest acquisition ever made by this company, and to do that, he's going to break one of the "institutions" of the promotion... one of the men who has been with the company since day one, and is a man everyone in the locker room looks up to... a man by the name of Delirious. Tonight, he declares a new era for Chuck Taylor, leading to the GREATEST era in the history of wrestling... and THAT just happened!
"The Big Deal" Chuck Taylor vs. Delirious
Est. Time: 00:09:00
Delirious always gets a good reaction, while Taylor got a mixed reaction, albeit a big one, so it means he has been doing something right the last few weeks. Taylor tries to initiate a Greco-Roman knuckle lock, but Delirious licks his own hand and tries to grab Taylor's, which sends Taylor aback, trying to avoid the now saturated grip of his opponent. Taylor is on the outside, yelling at Delirious and the referee, until Delirious wipes it off on his pants and Taylor rolls in. From there, Taylor gets in deliberately, leading to Delirious going after his legs, and then a wild fray of chain wrestling, neither man really to get one over for a solid minute, leading to a series of pin attempts, leg sweeps, and arm drags, before Taylor nails a Huracanrana on Delirious, hooking his legs for a two count. Delirious bursts up and lights up "The Big Deal" with knife edged chops, only to get caught with a kick to the gut, followed by an arm-wringer and then Sole Food, pinning Delirious for a two count! Taylor comes out of the corner with a big Knee Lift, and tries for a cover, but only a two again. Taylor tries to lift Delirious into the Awful Waffle, but Delirious lands on his feet and takes him down into the Cobra Stretch! Taylor is close enough to the ropes to break. Delirious tries to quickly pull him into the Bizarro Driver, but Taylor breaks away, hitting a Reverse Stunner, leading to Taylor nailing the Awful Waffle and getting the pinfall victory!
Mike Tenay:
Wow! Taylor pulls off the unlikely win here tonight, overcoming one of the best on the roster in Delirious!
Scott Hudson:
That Awful Waffle is so dangerous, dropping Delirious right on his head there... Taylor showed a lot tonight, and maybe he's not so full of hot air after all.

"The American Buzzsaw" Chris Sabin & "The Blockbuster!" Johnny Gargano vs. Kenny Omega & Spanky
Est. Time: 00:14:30
Kenny Omega had a very impressive showing in the WZW title tournament, making it to the finals against Alex Shelley in Mexico City, while his partner, Spanky, had a tough loss to one of their opponents tonight, Johnny Gargano, the current World Jr. Heavyweight champion. Spanky looks like he has slimmed down in the last month, and was very fast in the opening exchanges with Chris Sabin, though Sabin was able to catch him with a big shoot kick to the chest to take him down before tagging out to Gargano. Gargano would try to methodically punish Spanky, trying to break his spirit, but Spanky is just such a great counter wrestler and would manage to make it back to his feet, nailing a massive Tornado DDT to get a two count before tagging out to Kenny Omega. All of these men are quick, but Omega just has something about him and how fluid he can move, chaining one move to the next flawlessly, taking both of his opponents out to the outside before nailing a Sidewinder Suicida to the delight of the fans. Sabin would help his team regain some control on the outside by hitting a Sit-Out Moonsault, springboarding off the ropes and crashing down with serious impact on his opponents. Gargano would get things back in the ring, locking on the Crosston Crab on Omega, thinking he had the match, but Omega fought to the ropes to break it. Gargano would try to hit the Swinging Reverse STO, but Omega would break free and nail a Leapfrog Bulldog, getting a two count. Omega would go for his EX Hadouken, but Gargano would roll under it. Omega turns around and sees Sabin flying at him in the air, but catches him mid-flight with a Hadouken, sending him down hard! Gargano would catch Omega with knee to the gut afterwards, picking him up and launching him into the turnbuckles with the Lawn Dart! This would earn him a two count before Spanky flew into the ring with a Springboard Legdrop to break it up. Spanky would nail a Tiger Suplex on Gargano, getting a two count before Sabin hit a Standing Moonsault to break his bridge! Spanky would kick out of that pin attempt though, the fans chanting "THIS IS AWESOME!" in appreciation of this brisk action. By the end, all of the men were just looking for anything to win it. Spanky would hit the Sliced Bread #2 on Sabin, only to get nailed with the Hurts Donut from Gargano as Gargano grabbed him up to break up the pin attempt. Gargano wouldn't have a chance to try and pin, though, as Omega caught him with an Enzuigiri, followed up with the Croyt's Wrath! Sabin would break that up by Double Stomping his mid-section before tossing him out of the ring! Spanky came from behind, trying to lock on a Cobra Clutch, but Sabin escaped that, nailing an Overhead Kick that found its mark right between Spanky's eyes, leading to Sabin nailing a Standing Twisting Moonsault, and that's it! Sabin gets the pinfall over Spanky!
Mike Tenay:
That match was absolute chaos, as these guys pulled out all the stops! Sabin was just a step ahead, and Spanky had no answer after that devastating Standing Moonsault variation!
Scott Hudson:
"The American Buzzsaw" tried to split his head in half with that wild kick, and then smashed him with that Moonsault, Mike. This guy has just had a real fire in him lately, and it was enough to make his opponents feel the burn tonight!

NWA North American Title: Alex Shelley vs. "The Perfect Specimen" Dolph Ziggler (c)
Est. Time: 00:18:00
Ziggler, who was actually born in Cleveland, OH, did receive a pretty decent pop for his match entrance and he seemed to be genuinely excited to be here, despite his earlier rants and projected attitude. He and Shelley would have a decent feeling out process early on, which Shelley would get the better of, leading Ziggler to try and break it down to a brawl. Shelley was able to dodge a corner Avalanche attempt from the champion, leading Ziggler to bounce again like a man made of rubberbands, getting the crowd really into it, as both men showed exemplary showmanship. On the outside, Ziggler would smack talk Shelley after regaining some control with a European uppercut, choking him on the guardrail and suplexing him on the floor. Ziggler knows that Shelley has to beat him, trying to stay on the outside as Shelley would try to move things to the inside on his terms, while also attempting on two occasions to leave Shelley on the outside to get counted out. Shelley would manage to get things back on the inside, attempting to win things with his Frog Splash, but only getting a two count! Ziggler would catch Shelley charging into the corner with a boot a few moments later, leading "The Perfect Specimen" to live up to those "Mr. Ass" comparisons earlier as he hit the Fame-asser, but only got a two count for his troubles! Ziggler would call for the Zig Zag, only to get nailed with a Huracanrana! Both men would get to their feet, Shelley trying to hip Ziggler to the buckles, but Ziggler reverses it. Ziggler storms in, but Shelley catches him with a boot this time, grabbing him and then nailing a Reverse STO into the buckles, which gets him a two count. Ziggler catches Shelley with a Jawbreaker and then rolls him up with a School Boy, his feet on the ropes, but Shelley kicks out, somehow beating the three count! Ziggler tries to pull him up, but Shelley pulls him down into a Single Knee Facebuster, followed by a Superkick that sends him into the buckles, before hitting a Flying Swinging Corner Clothesline, followed by a Missile Dropkick to the back of the head, but still just a two count! Shelley calls for the end, lifting Ziggler for his Automatic Midnight, but Ziggler slides off, Sunset Flipping him over into a Jacknife pin, and Ziggler is holding the tights! He gets the three count!
Mike Tenay:
Ziggler steals one out the backdoor here, and these fans are telling him exactly what they think about it!
Scott Hudson:
These guys just had one Hell of a match, but I think Ziggler felt it going the wrong way and knew he had to put a stop to it definitively, or he could've been going home empty handed.
Mike Tenay:
This man just has no honor! For Scott Hudson, I'm Mike Tenay, fans, we'll see you next week!
