The show opened up with a recap from the last CPW event. Edge announced that the CPW Heavyweight Championship was now vacant and that RVD and Cody Rhodes would face off in a best of 5 series.. The Winner would be the Champion.. Match one was later tonight! Cody was PISSED! Trevor had to restrain him from destroying the area. RVD was also a bit upset, but he quickly used the opportunity to taunt Rhodes!!!

Too Cool

RESULTS : The Rockers defeated Too Cool when Tyson Kidd pinned Carlito with the Springboard Elbowdrop in 04:41.

After the match, Carlito and Coleman busted Kidd open with a chair shot and laid out Gabriel. They were trying to break Kidd's arm when Harry Smith made the save from the crowd.

The NWA North American Tag Team Champions came out and said that since winning the titles, they have not once defended the titles. They issued an open challenge for ANY team to face them for the titles... Out came The Show Stoppers, Cliff Compton and Colt Cabana. Cabana said THEY would take the titles. Joe told them to shut the hell up and get in the ring!!

RESULTS : AJ Styles pinned Matt Hardy with the Styles Clash in 09:25 to retain the CPW Television Title.

After the match the Miz came out and said that while he has unfinished business with AJ, he is not going to come after the champ. As AJ was trying to get the Miz to come on down, Mike Knox entered the ring and was trying to get the champ at a disadvantage. AJ was able to duck the oncoming attack and sent Knox crashing to the arena floor. This misstep enraged the Miz who charged the ring, only to stop just before he got to the ring.

Before the next Match, Paul announced that his partner for the next 45 days would be none other than CHRIS JERICHO!! Jericho is stunned at the announcement, and at first tries to back out, until Paul threatens Jericho's manhood!

RESULTS : Chris Jericho and Paul Burchill defeated Team AA (Alex Riley and Antonio Banks) when Chris Jericho pinned Alex Riley with the Codebreaker in 11:45.

After the match, Jericho said that HE was the reason that the match ended in the way it did. Paul agreed, but a win is a win, and they are one step closer to tag team gold. Jericho is visibly perplex that he got out smarted into being in this team.

I'm wondering how Harry Smith entering the promotion is going to affect The Rockers and if they will become a three man group now. AJ stays a step ahead of the Miz, which is always fun. Burchill throwing Jericho a curve ball was also unexpected and cool. RVD is going to be looking for revenge, I'd imagine, after that tainted loss, so it'll be interesting to see how that develops.
