NWA Hybrid Pro TV 21/06/2013
It is formally announced that The Tournament for Tomorrow is being suspended at this time due to "financial restraints", however young talent will be regularly given opportunities to develop in Hybrid Pro and thrive in the same way a number of stars have.
Alex Shelley makes his way to the ring to a huge pop. He get the mic.
Shelley: Its great to be back here in New Jersey!
A cheap pop but the fans react nonetheless.
Shelley: Last time I competed here it was as part of NWA Extreme, a promotion where hardcore wrestling was the name of the game. But here in Hybrid Pro all styles are appreciated, and I know that my skills and experience will be respected by you fans. My aim is to steal the show ever single night....
Before Shelley can continue, The Pistols make their way out. Matt Taven has something to say.
Taven: Hey Shelley, what are you doing back here? Your 30 years old man, your way too old to be competing alongside the finest young talent in the business. Because of you, Anthony Nese was traded to NWA Ring Warriors, leaving me a man down, and I despise the fact that a name value talent like you was brought in at the expense of one of my own.
Shelley: Hey, I appreciate what your doing Matt but I'm no old man, and I didn't work this hard to be disrespected by a bunch of punks like you. I have talent on loan from god, and because of that I have more talent in one finger than any of you have in the rest of your bodies!
The fans pop huge for that.
Shelley: Now maybe there's five of you and one of me, but that doesn't mean we can't wrestle. I've got some tag partners, so how about we open this show up with a ten man tag team match?
Taven: Works for me, lets get this match started.
It looks like we have ourselves an opening match, and Shelley's tag partners are High Energy (ACH and Tadarius Thomas), Zack Sabre Jr and the debuting Drew McIntyre!
Ten Man Tag Team Match
The Pistols ("The Chaotic Idol" Matt Taven, "The Prodigy" Mike Bennett, "The Project" Tommaso Ciampa, Samuray Del Sol and "The FN Machine" Brian Cage) vs "The Technical Messiah" Alex Shelley, High Energy ("The Last Dragon" ACH and TaDarius Thomas), Zack Sabre Jr and "The Chosen One" Drew McIntyre
A great, chaotic tag team matchup to open the show, as once again The Pistols demonstrated their excellence when it comes to teamwork and pure wrestling skill, with Cage looking like the standout once again, his confidence is at an all time high and it shows. Shelley however looked great in his debut, as did Drew McIntyre who the fans still love after he earned their respect in NEXT, going to the very limit with the NWA World Champion of that time Alberto Del Rio. High Energy's teamwork was as crisp as ever, and Sabre also demonstrated his top notch mat skills. Sabre however was to be decisive in the outcome, as when Shelley setup for the Shell Shock on Taven, SABRE NAILED SHELLEY WITH A ROARING ELBOW! He then walked straight into a Taven Effect, and Taven pinned Shelley 1-2-3!
Winners- The Pistols
The Pistols beatdown their opponents 6 on 4 as Sabre has revealed himself as Anthony Nese's replacement in The Pistols, which makes sense considering the offer Taven made to Sabre last week. The Pistols have just gotten a whole lot stronger with one of wrestling's finest young technicians on board. Taven takes the mic.
Taven: I knew you'd see the light Zack, welcome aboard. South Beach, you've seen our strength here tonight, I hope your ready for the challenge of the best young group of athletes in wrestling today! And Faces of Fear, at The Great American Bash those North American belts will belong to us!

Triple Threat Match
"Very European" Antonio Cesaro" vs "The One Man Band" Heath Slater vs Sami Zayn
We said this was a triple threat match, but really it wasn't much of a match. Zayn and Cesaro picked up where they left off last week with a heated brawl, a brawl that ended up pouring to the outside of the ring as Slater put his feet up in the corner, not getting involved. The brawl became so heated that both Zayn and Cesaro forgot (or didn't care) about the referee's count, because he reached 10 and both men were counted out. Slater therefore "won" this match without having to do anything, yet treated it like the biggest win of his life.
Winner- Heath Slater
Zayn and Cesaro continue to brawl wildly as officials ran out to separate them. Hybrid Pro commissioner John Laurinaitis came out in a rare appearance.
Laurinaitis: Hey now I know that you two have issues, but this is going too far and this needs to end. Thats why at Beach Brawl it will be Sami Zayn versus Antonio Cesaro in a Ladder Match! There will be no rules other than the winner is the one who gets the briefcase from the top of the ladder first. And there will be prizes on offer. If you win Sami, you will be competing in the Crossfire Cage match at The Great American Bash, but if you win Antonio, you will get a NWA World Heavyweight Title shot at Kyle Matthews anytime you see fit!
The fans pop big for this, as Zayn and Cesaro continue to stare each other down and try to get to each other, as officials do everything they can to keep the two apart!
"The Lone Wolf" Paul London vs Prince Devitt
Devitt is fresh off a loss to Brian Cage for the TV Title, while London lost to Michael Shane last week when he put a steel chair to use and got DQ'ed. London looked more focused than ever here, he wants gold and he wants it now, and Devitt had his work cut out for him. Devitt however is determined to make an impact, having not had an amazing win/loss record in Hybrid Pro so far, and when it came to mat wrestling he was more than a match for London, even if London was the better high flyer of the two. London ended up winning this contest following the Londons Calling.
Winner- Paul London
London took a mic post match.
London: Bryan Danielson, maybe you got the better of me at Sacrifice, but this thing is still not over. We still have our third matchup to happen, because we are at one win each and we need to see who the better man really is. If you have the guts, answer my challenge and name the date where we are going to settle this thing once and for all, because I'm sick and tired of wrestling you Dragon, and want to finally prove once and for all that I am the best wrestler to ever come out of the Texas Wrestling Academy!
London is very fired up, and Bryan Danielson has a challenge to accept it seems.
NWA North American Title Match
"The Reflection of Perfection" Dolph Ziggler w/"The Masterpiece" Chris Masters vs "The Real Showstopper" Michael Shane w/"Big Rig" Brodie Lee
This is what Shane has been waiting for for weeks now, a shot at Dolph Ziggler and the NWA North American Title, and he got it here. And boy did these two go all out, they are both men who love to steal the show and put on the best match of the card, and arguably they did that here, the mat wrestling was top notch as you would expect, Shane busted out some high flying moves that we rarely see him use, and Ziggler used a few of his own to dazzle the fans. The result was a fine matchup, and could have been even better had it not been for a complete breakdown near the end. Chris Masters tried to get involved again, getting the same chain he used on Brodie Lee last week and trying to smack Shane with it, but Lee charged and took Masters down, and the two began brawling. As Ziggler saw what was happening he dove out onto Lee, and Shane then did the same to Masters, leading to a 4 person brawl. The referee had no choice but to call the match a no contest!
Winner- No Contest
The brawl continued post match as these two teams continue to get at each others throats. Will they settle their issue in the multi man tag at Beach Brawl? Or could this go on for a whole lot longer?
Six Man Tag Team Match
The Prophecy (Kyle Matthews, Dan Maff and Jack Swagger) w/Azrieal, Bray Wyatt and "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero vs Johnny Gargano, BJ Whitmer and Vordell Walker
Walker revealed himself as the newest member of Gargano's anti-Prophecy group last week, and again he came in all guns blazing with punches, looking to fight his way through The Prophecy. Combine it with the fighting skill of Whitmer and Gargano's wrestling ability, and they were more than a match for Kyle Matthews and The Prophecy. But the problem once again was the numbers game, the entire Prophecy were present with the other 3 members at ringside, and whenever the group looked in danger they simply got involved, threatening the ref if he DQ'ed them. Gargano got a lucky break and nearly got a pinfall victory over the champ with a Hurts Donut, but Wyatt pulled the referee out. Gargano foolishly tried to chase after Wyatt only to be beaten down by The Prophecy. They tossed him back in as Walker and Whitmer brawled, HIDAKA LOCK BY MATTHEWS! Gargano has no choice but to tap out.
Winners- The Prophecy
Post match The Prophecy again look to finish the job, they begin to beat the living hell out of Gargano and company, but before they can the lights go out. When the lights come back on, KARL ANDERSON IS IN THE RING WITH A CHAIR! HE SMASHES AZRIEAL WITH THE CHAIR! He avoids a Double Clothesline from Wyatt and Dinero and takes both down with his own Double Clothesline. GUN STUN TO MAFF! EXPLODER BY WHITMER ON SWAGGER! Matthews is all on his own with four men, and he runs for his life grabbing his title and heading up the ramp as fast as he can.
Gargano offers Anderson his hand, but Anderson flicks the middle finger at him and leaves, as it is clear that his action were self motivated, not to help out Gargano. Karl Anderson is back and The Prophecy had better watch out!
