NWA EMPIRE 7/9/13 show

Mike Tenay and Ricky Morton would welcome the fans to the show, and let them know about events that transpired before the show started. The footage shows Cena talking to a few of the boys before the show only to have Lesnar shoulder bump into him causing a stare down. NWA President, Dustin Smith would step in between and remind both men that they can't fight each other until the GAB, Smith obviously wanting both of his boys healthy hoping to bring the NA title to EMPIRE. Since Lesnar and Cena are so eager to get in the ring together, Smith made the main event Lesnar AND Cena versus Ziggler and Abyss!
This was only the opening match and these two men beat the ever living shit out of each other, the crowd got a hell of an opener as these two men left everything in the ring. Whitmer has the ability to absorb a beating and Callihan was all about punishing the BuzzSaw! Whitmer got turned inside out with a lariat from Callihan but was able to kick out. Whitmer would come back strong hurling Callihan around the ring with suplex variations. Whitmer would cap off the rush by powerbombing Callihan into the corner following up with a huge mafia kick nearly taking Sami's head off his shoulders. Whitmer snapped off the wrist clutch exploder, trying for a pin but only get a two count. BJ looked pissed that Callihan kicked out and waited as Callihan got to his knees blasting him with a kick to the temple putting Callihan down again this time for the victory!

Bray Wyatt was able to steam roll Bateman, ripping the shirt from "American Made" tearing it into two before blasting Bateman with a vicious boot. Wyatt would continue his assault by smashing Bateman a few times in the corner with chest crushing splashes, finally ending the match by cinching Bateman for a shellshock, giving him a kiss on the forehead before driving him to the mat violently.
This was another clash between these two bitter rivals, and every time they step into the ring it's a great match. The Briscoes were the aggressors in this match trying to knock off the EMPIRE reps for the World Tag match at GAB. Mark Briscoe was able to show off his redneck kung fu for the crowd, the Briscoes are always a fan favorite and this crowd was behind their heroes. Jay thought he had the match won after spiking Morrison with a J-Driller but Lena Yada would distract the ref long enough for Morrison go get his barrings back. Jay ended up being blindsided by a superkick from Rave, allowing Morrison to make the cover giving the Rockstars the win going into GAB!
This was Reigns first match here in EMPIRE and he really wanted a win going into the Bash, but Randy Orton wasn't about to roll over and die for the samoan superman. Reigns battered Orton with a smash mouth offense, shaking the sting out of his fist after hitting Orton with a brutal right hand. The Viper is resilient and was able to reverse a whip and hit a thesz press on Reigns peppering him with rights and lefts trying to gain some momentum. Orton would try to get the crowd on his side after lifting and slamming Reigns with a suplex following up with garvin style stomps along the joints of Reigns. Orton looked to be in firm control until Reigns scored with a clothesline, heading to the apron to vault himself back into the ring for a spear but Orton would cut him off and drive him on his head with a suspension DDT. Orton would start to feel it punching the mat, coiled and ready to strike with the RKO that would finish the match. Orton would try for the RKO but Reigns would push him off and when Orton finally got turned back around he was nearly ripped in half by a spear from Reigns. Roman was able to hook the leg of Orton long enough to secure the three count.
After the match ended The Rock rushed to the ring with a steel chair looking to pay back Reigns back for the spear, but Reigns would slip out of the ring on the opposite side escaping through the crowd as Rock looked on irate. Orton would stagger to his feet only to have The Rock blast him with the chair, taking his frustration out on the Viper.
Cena and Lesnar weren't pleased to have to team together and looked to finally come to blows deciding who would start the match for their team. Ziggler looked so excited that someone like Abyss is his partner, Dolph would immediatly order Abyss to start the match making it Cena versus Abyss. Abyss no sold a lot of Cena's attacks until Cena planted him with a spinebuster only to get blind tagged by Lesnar with a vicious slap to the back of Cena. Lesnar continued what John started brutalizing the monster with clench knee strikes and clubbing blows to the back. Abyss was able to power free clotheslining Lesnar out of the ring, with Ziggler making the blind tag this time, upsetting the monster. Ziggler would dive to the outside on Lesnar slamming him into the guard rail, Cena would smile in his corner at Lesnar getting his ass kicked. Ziggler tried to steal the win with his feet on the ropes but the ref would catch it and break the count. The moment Lesnar started to show life Ziggler would scurry to Abyss making the tag. Lesnar was drug into the wrong corner as Abyss layed a beating on him. Lesnar was able to fight back suplexing Abyss out of desperation trying to tag out to Cena but John would try to avoid the tag until Lesnar finally forced it. Cena would go back to work against Abyss trying to prove he's the better man on his team, hitting the five knuckle shuffle. Instead of doing the "You can't see me" motion to Abyss he'd do it to mock Lesnar before dropping the fist on Abyss. Ziggler was able to get a tag to Abyss saving the monster, Ziggler was able to slap on the sleeper hold wearing down Cena who would sandwich the NA champ a few times in the corner before going to tag Lesnar. This time however Lesnar would hop off the apron and walk away from the match leaving Cena to pass out to the sleeper hold giving Ziggler and Abyss the win.
