NWA Hybrid Pro TV 02/08/2013
Welcome to the latest episode of Hybrid Pro TV, and what a show we have for you tonight, headlined by two massive main events: Samoa Joe battles Paul London in a grudge match, and Kyle Matthews takes on Vordell Walker in a non-title match (as Matthews no longer has to defend the belt against Hybrid pro stars as per the stipulation from last week).

Six Man Tag Team Match
"Very European" Antonio Cesaro and 2MB (Drew McIntyre and Heath Slater) vs The Group (Johnny Gargano, Rhett Titus and Kenny King)
Cesaro seemed just as reluctant as McIntyre to be teaming with Heath Slater, but he got on with it for the majority of this matchup against The Group. Effectively this was a showcase for the anti-Prophecy faction, who demonstrated the skills that they are using to combat them. Cesaro fought back with power, while Slater and McIntyre took a mat based approach, with Slater also annoyingly taunting The group with his rock star stick. Finally Cesaro had enough of Slater, dropping him with a Neutralizer, and McIntyre decided not to help him as Gargano locked in the Crosston Crab for the submission victory.
Winners- The Group
Adam Pearce is backstage with Lenny Leonard-
Leonard: Adam Pearce, last week you attacked Sami Zayn unprovoked, an act a lot of people are questioning. What was your reasoning behind this attack?
Pearce: Its very simple Lenny, you see you and me know what this business used to be. It was all about the toughest badasses beating the hell out of each other in the ring, standing up for what they believe in. Whether it was Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, Ric Flair, Andre the Giant, Randy Savage, The Ultimate Warrior or anyone else you can call a legend, they were all as tough as they come. Sami Zayn represents everything that I despise about modern day professional wrestling. I've been in this business for 18 years, and I've worked hard for any opportunity I can get, and yet it has never truly happened for me despite all of my hard work and undeiable talent. Meanwhile guys like Sami Zayn get all the opportunities in the world because they can do some flashy, flippy bullshit, and they are making the business I love into nothing more than gymnastics. That stuff belongs in the olympics, not in a wrestling ring, and Sami Zayn, you will be the first to fall in my quest to rid the sport of your kind, and bring it back to what it once was: professional wrestling!
Pearce looks to leave, but before he can Sami Zayn attacks, and the two brawl as officials rush in to separate these two. This one looks like its going to get bitter in a hurry.
NWA Hybrid Pro Tag Team Title Match
The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) vs The Briscoes (Jay and Mark Briscoe)
A fantastic matchup here involving the new tag team champions and the former World Tag Team Champions, an opportunity for them to regain some lost ground. The Briscoes are as tough as they come, everybody knows that, and they looked to beat the hell out of the Bucks, while the Bucks retaliated with their wide range of crisp high flying and double team manoeuvres, making this an even matchup. The Briscoes however fell a little short on this occasion, as The Young Bucks retained their titles by hitting More Bang for Your Buck on Mark.
Winners- The Young Bucks
Once again post match, The Pistols come out onto the ramp and hold their belts up to the Hybrid Pro tag champs, and a match has to be forthcoming between these two teams. But before The Pistols can do anything else, Da Baldies rush out and attack them from behind with weapons. The two factions brawl down to the ring and we get an impromptu match.
Six Man Tag Team Match
The Pistols (Matt Taven, Tommaso Ciampa and Mike Bennett) vs Da Baldies (Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows and Giant Bernard)
There's no sign of Adam Pearce incidentally, and thats because according to Anderson, he's already left the group to feud with Sami Zayn. That doesn't make them any less tough however, they gave The Pistols a beating like we haven't seen them take before, throwing massive strikes that took their young opponents down and also using their size to toss them around. The Pistols had the smarts though, they used strategy and submissions to try and keep Da Baldies down, and it definitely worked to some extent. The match broke down once again towards the end, leaving Anderson and Taven in the ring together, and out of nowhere Anderson gets the Gun Stun! 1-2-3, The Hybrid Pro champion pins the leader of The Pistols and that is a major win for him!
Winners- Da Baldies
Da Baldies then grab weapons and look to make a bigger statement, but the rest of The Pistols run in to save their comrades. Thats before Antonio Cesaro runs down the ramp and joins Da Baldies, and the matchup becomes a lot more even. Officials have to run in to break up the brawl, whats going to happen next between these two factions?
Grudge Match
Samoa Joe vs "The American Submission Master Machine" Paul London
This one was eerily similar to London's matchup last week with Kane, as London's gear matched one of Samoa Joe's old attires, and he even had Joe's old face tattoos, as he took to mocking Joe for the majority of this matchup to break Joe psychologically. Joe however is not a man you want to anger, everybody knows that Joe will kill anyone he damn well pleases whenever he feels like it, and Joe took a lot of pleasure in beating the hell out of London for costing him the World Heavyweight Title last week. Even then London did come close, he did head to the top for the Londons Calling, but Joe crotched him then carried him down for the Muscle Buster, getting the 3 count in the process.
Winner- Samoa Joe
The Prophecy run out post match to try and attack Joe, but Joe quickly slides out of the ring as The Group run in for the save, and a mass brawl ensues, everybody brawls to the back except Matthews, London and Walker, with London remaining at ringside for our main event.
Non-Title Match
"The Antichrist of Professional Wrestling" Kyle Matthews w/Paul London vs "The Shooter" Vordell Walker
A very different kind of matchup than you would usually see out of Matthews, this one was very mat based and almost old-school in its approach, with both men feeling each other out and trying to find a weakness they could target. Both men worked out about even, and both had the same target: the arm of their opponent to setup for their respective arm submission finishers. Matthews however had one added advantage, Paul London at ringside, and he distracted Walker constantly, leaving him vulnerable to a Matthews attack. This ended up costing Walker the matchup, as Matthews locked him in the Hidaka Lock to make him tap out.
Winner- Kyle Matthews
Matthews kept the hold locked in post match, screaming that he will put an end to The Group's existence one member by one. London grabs Matthews' prized steel chair and head up to the top as Matthews releases the hold. CHAIR ASSISTED LONDONS CALLING! Johnny Gargano runs down as Matthews and London bail, but the damage has been done, Walker has been annihilated by The Prophecy and The Group may very well have lost a member. Gargano took the mic.
Gargano: You coward Matthews, you continue to prove you can't fight fair. But its all right, Vordell Walker may have fallen, but The Group is only going to get stronger. You see, to overcome a deadly evil, sometimes you have to be a little evil yourself, and lets just say that The Group is about to get evil!
What does Gargano mean by this? Who is this evil individual Gargano is talking about? I guess we will find out soon enough, thanks for tuning in and see you all next week.
