National Wrestling Alliance Showcase
Manhattan Ballroom in New York City, New York
Sunday, May 6th, 2012
“Welcome to the National Wrestling Alliance Showcase event, live on iPPV here on nwa-wrestling.com!” NWA Ring of Honor announcer Joeyy Styles welcomes the fans online as he goes over the lineup for tonight's card. His broadcast colleague is living legend Shawn Michaels. The two talk briefly when Europe's “the Final Countdown” blasts over the public address system and our opening contest is about to get underway.
“the American Dragon” Bryan Danielson
vs.
Tyson Kidd
Danielson knows this New York crowd well from his days on the independents in the past, but he grabs the microphone anyways. “For those of you who don't know, after dominating the National Wrestling Alliance in Impact over the past few months, I have moved my talents overseas to the United Kingdom. I am the number one contender to the United Kingdom Television Championship, and when I get my match, I will make Colt Cabana submit and I will become the United Kingdom Television Champion!”
As Tyson Kidd's music hits, Joeyy Styles states it was Kidd that challenged Danielson to this match. Michaels explains, saying Kidd wants to wrestle CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship, but he has to elevate himself past the upper echelon of the NWA in order to get his shot. The commentary team takes us to some video from the past two weeks of NWA Wildside TV, which airs Saturdays in Alabama and Georgia.
The first part of the match is a feeling out process, neither man willing to give an inch – they both know that their opponent is an elite worker. After over thirty seconds of this, Danielson slaps Kidd in the face, kicking his legs out from underneath him. Kidd is barely on the mat for a second before his left shoulder is pelted with another stiff kick. Danielson bounces off the ropes and dropkicks Kidd's left shoulder, clearly setting up for any of his numerous submissions.
Kidd makes it to his knees and is greeted with three kicks to the chest. Danielson attempts a fourth kick, aiming higher this time, but Kidd ducks out of the way and uses his legs to sweep Danielson out from his feet and onto the mat. Kidd returns the favours that were previously given to him and hits Danielson with three kicks to the chest and follows it up with a dropkick, sending “the American Dragon” to the mat! Danielson rolls out of the ring but is quickly met with a flying cross body, much to the crowd's delight.
Kidd rolls Danielson back into the ring, but is met with a European uppercut and an Irish whip into the corner upon his return to the ring. Danielson hits a few elbows to the side of the head before tactfully throwing Kidd over his body, tossing him using the left arm he has been working on all match. Kidd snaps up, but is stumbling and he walks into a belly to belly suplex. Danielson goes for the cover, but Kidd is able to kick out at two. Kidd rolls over from the momentum of the kick out, and Danielson immediately locks on the LeBell Lock, and Kidd screams in pain. He shows his fight, though, making it to the ropes after being held in the hold for over thirty seconds.
Frustrated, Danielson kicks Kidd multiple times in the shoulder, knocking him out of the ring. He goes for a suicide dive, but Kidd moves out of the way, possibly giving him one last chance in this match! The referee begins his count to ten, but both men roll in at the same time. Kidd makes a last ditch effort and attempts the Code Blue, but his shoulder gives out, and Danielson rolls out and attempts a Northern Lights suplex. This time, Kidd is able to counter and hit a face buster, giving him momentum!
Kidd grabs ahold of Danielson and attempts to go for the sharpshooter, Danielson fights it! Danielson gets out of the hold, shoving Kidd into the ropes. This time he hits a Northern Lights suplex and locks on the cattle mutilation. The two are in the centre of the ring and have nowhere to go, and the pressure on Kidd's shoulder is so immense he is forced to tap out at 15:58!
Bryan Danielson defeated Tyson Kidd with the Cattle Mutilation at 15:58
A video his shown of Rey Mysterio Jr. earlier walking into the arena, when he is confronted by The Miz.

Money Inc. (Bobby Roode & Ted DiBiase Jr.)
vs.
The Hooligan Squad (Dave Mastiff & Martin Stone)
vs.
The Revolution (Adam Cole & Kyle O'Reilly) ©
Roode attacked Cole as soon as the bell rang, driving him back into the corner. Stone saw his opportunity and nailed Roode with a lariat to the back of the neck, smashing Cole between Roode and the turnbuckle. Stone grabbed Cole and hit a belly to belly suplex but Roode was able to break the pin attempt at the count of one. Roode pulls Stone to his feet and the two men begin trading haymakers until Roode catches Stone with a knee to the gut. Roode lands an elbow across the back of Stone’s neck, driving the big man into the mat. Cole re-enters the fray with a dropkick to the back of Roode but can’t capitalize as Stone drives a forearm into Cole’s lower back. Stone whips Cole into the Hooligan’s corner and then complains about the tactics of Roode as Mastiff drives a vicious elbow across the jaw of Cole. Stone returns to the corner and drives a knee into Cole’s mid-section before tagging out to Mastiff.
Mastiff immediately whips Cole back across the ring but Roode interjects by driving Cole to the mat with the Double R Spinebuster. Mastiff is forced to make the save at the count of one and now he and Roode begin trading blows. Roode gets the better of the exchange and whips Mastiff into the ropes before dropping him to the mat with a drop-toe-hold. Roode slides into position and locks in an arm trap crossface. Mastiff begins to writhe in pain and Cole stomps across the back of Roode. Roode is quickly back to his feet and catches the foot of Cole as he attempted a kick. Cole bounces on one leg before unloading for an enzuigiri. Roode ducks the kick and drops an elbow across the back of Cole. Roode drags Cole across the ring and tags in Dibiase.
Dibiase immediately nails Cole with a fist drop but upon getting to his feet he is caught by a German suplex from Mastiff. Mastiff then drags Cole to his feet and look to go for a piledriver, but Dibiase makes the save by locking Mastiff into the Million Dollar Dream. Mastiff struggles for the ropes before being laid out by a well placed Corona Kick from Cole. Dibiase drops the dead weight of Mastiff and throws a right hand at Cole. Cole manages to duck under the haymaker and catches Dibiase with the Cole-ateral. Cole scores a quick two count on Dibiase before tagging in O’Reilly.
O’Reilly races across the ring and unloads with a barrage of kicks to the slowly rising Mastiff. O’Reilly scores with a roundhouse kick to the head of Mastiff that takes the big man from one knee to face down on the canvas once more. O’Reilly grabs Mastiff’s right ankle and cinches in the ankle lock as the referee slides into position to check on Mastiff. The referee raises the hand of Mastiff but before it hit’s the mat for the first time O’Reilly is rocked by a dropkick from behind. Dibiase begins pummeling O’Reilly into the corner with straight right hands. Dibiase then whips O’Reilly across the ring and hard into the turnbuckles. O’Reilly stumbles from the corner holding his lower back just before Dibiase drops him with a Cobra Clutch legsweep. Dibiase hooks the leg but only manages a two count. Dibiase wastes no time and tags in Roode.
Dibiase begins pulling O’Reilly to his feet as if to perform a double-team maneuver but Roode darts across the ring and cuts the rising Mastiff in half with a spear. Roode quickly covers but the referee only slaps the mat twice before Stone kicks Roode off. Dibiase takes offense and quickly attacks Stone, knocking the Brit through the ropes and to ringside. Dibiase quickly climbs through the ropes and begins battling Stone on the floor. The referee is screaming at Dibiase and Stone while Roode covers Mastiff once more. Roode slaps the mat several times before the referee notices the cover and slides into position. Mastiff rolls his shoulder at the last possible second and Roode is beside himself.
O’Reilly has climbed back to his feet and tags Cole but as the referee motions that the tag is legal Roode begins to berate him about the late count. The referee cowers from Roode moments before he turns and is flattened with stereo super kicks from Cole & O’Reilly. Cole then pulls Mastiff to his feet and drops him back to the mat with the Corona Crash. Cole hooks the leg for the three count at 16:39 as O’Reilly kicks the ropes to keep Dibiase from climbing back into the ring.

“the Only Star” Daniel Puder
vs.
“the White Angel” Hakushi (with Teddy Long)
This match had been brewing for a while with Puder and Hakushi's rivarly becoming more intense and more heated with each and every show in the Chicago territory. Daniel Puder was the Heavyweight Champion of Windy City Pro Wrestling for well over a full year and blamed his loss of the belt to "Strongman" Jon Anderson soley on the interference of Hakushi.
The undefeated Hakushi who has not been beaten since the inception of Windy City, was brutually attacked by Puder and his partner in crime Chris Masters and has since enlisted the services of Anderson's manager Teddy Long to watch his back. This match was somewhat of a #1 Contenders Match to the Heavyweight Title as the undefeated Hakushi faced off against the dominenet ex Champion Daniel Puder.
The match started with some low-key entrances as both men made an MMA-style march to the ring giving the match a more legitmate feel. Hakushi came out first alongside Teddy Long and had his taped-hands checked by the NWA officials. Puder came out last and quickly attempted to side step the official and enter the ring, but Teddy Long pulled up the officials and forced Puder to get his taped-hands checked over. Puder was shaking his head, not very keen at all to be checked over and this was revealed why as the official felt something alien within the taped first and pulled out some wire mesh as Puder protested his innocence!
~Short music video package plays for the NWA World Heavyweight Title match between CM Punk and Sheamus plays as Puder gets his hands re-taped, this time infront of the NWA officials.~
Both men squared up face to face, looking each other dead in the eyes as the crowd built up their anticipation and suddently a burst of right-hands from Puder starts this match off but Hakushi is quick to retaliate and both men are throwing down heymakers as it starts off fast. Hakushi lets Puder run him down a little and catches him coming in with some sharp jabs to the face which frustrates Puder a little. Puder goes to shoot on Hakushi but is met with a kick to the jaw coming in and Puder goes down in trouble, Hakushi follows up all over Puder with some ground and pound but Puder is covering up and finds half-guard. Puder managed to grab Hakushi's head between under one arm and trys to turn the White Angel over. Hakushi is punching Puder in his sides but he manages to roll over and this time Puder is on top. Hakushi defends and it becomes a bit of a scramble and the official brings both men to their feet again.
Hakushi again with some single jabs catching Puder, but Puder this time faints and catches him with an overhand right which rocks Hakushi. Puder grabs Hakushi and tosses him into the ropes and nails him in the stomach with a short punch and gets behind Hakushi, GERMAN SUPLEX! Cover 1-2-NOOO! Puder is up and stalks Hakushi but the undefeated man from the Orient catches him unawares with an ankle take-down and managed to work on a modified scorpion death lock! Puder somehow and slowly makes the ropes. Hakushi releases and picks up Puder, thurst to the throat and spin-kick to the stomach. Hakushi then nails Puder with a big right hand with the taped fist and scales to the top rope. Hakushi goes for a moonsault from the top rope but from out of the crowd comes CHRIS MASTERS who pushes Hakushi off the top rope right infront of the ref but this is No DQ! Puder crawls over and applys his Kimura! Hakushi is in a hell of a lot of pain, but somehow, someway makes the ropes. The ref counts to 5 but Puder does not break the count and Masters on the outside screams to the ref this is No DQ and he's right. Puder is keeping this on and is going to break his arm! Puder is not letting go but Teddy Long has seen enough and jumps into the ring and kicks Puder in the back breaking the hold.
But oh no.. Teddy realises what he's done now as Puder is stalking him with a menanced look and bloody teeth showing, Chris Masters trips Teddy Long from the outside and drags him to the outside and shoves him over. Puder turns around, but Hakushi is up and Green Mist to the face! Hakushi thrust kick sends down Puder, Masters is in the ring but got back body dropped to the outside taking a sick looking bump. Teddy is up and is looking towards Hakushi, he pours some unknown substance onto a rag and tosses the rag over to Hakushi. Puder is still half blinded and scrambles for the rag but cannot see anywhere near clearly and totally misses, Hakushi grabs it and gets on Puder's back gagging The Only Stars mouth and nose with the rag! Puder tries to fight some but quickly fades, very quickly fades. Whatever was on that rag does the trick and Puder is out! The ref raises the arm, once, twice.....THREE TIMES!!! HAKUSHI WINS! HAKUSHI WINS! HAKUSHI HAS DEFEATED DANIEL PUDER!!
Hakushi is joined in the ring by Teddy Long and they celebrate before being joined by Windy City Champion "Strongman" Jon Anderson who tosses Puder to the outside next to Masters!
Hakushi defeated Daniel Puder via knockout at 14:29
One of the newest members of the Impact UK roster is Sheamus, the last man to hold the World Heavyweight Championship prior to CM Punk's current reign. Following the closure of Dragon Gate, he has joined Impact UK, the same promotion that houses our current Champion, CM Punk! Prior to our in ring introductions, we are greeted with a video package summing up these two men's past.
Just like Danielson earlier in the night, Punk has made himself famous in this territory and he clearly has theh fans' support in this contest, despite Sheamus being a well liked member of the NWA. Punk utilizes his speed, working around the big man to start the contest. Punk gets a roll up for a two count and quickly hits a roundhouse kick, sending Sheamus to the mat. This again only gets a two count.
Sheamus battles back, hitting three axe handle blocks, clubbing the champion down! Sheamus wears Punk down, hitting a fallaway slam for a two count. Punk rolls away to get a breather, but Sheamus picks him up on the apron and begins clubbing at his chest repeatedly, drawing boos from the crowd!
Punk crawls back into the ring and right into an Irish Curse backbreaker, but he is able to kick out at two. Sheamus goes to the top rope for his patented flying shoulder block, but Punk kicks the ropes out from underneath him, causing him to fall on his groin. Punk goes up top and hits the Pepsi Plunge, drawing huge cheers from the crowd for a move he has not done in quite some time!
He cannot make the cover, though. The referee begins his ten count. Punk finally rolls over and covers Sheamus, but the Celtic Warrior kicks out at two! The two battle again, with Sheamus gaining the advantage. He hits another Irish Curse and then sets up for the Brogue Kick! Sheamus misses the move, and turns into a Go To Sleep from Punk, which he covers for the win at 20:26!
Punk celebrates with his Championship as the show goes off the air!

Del Rio rolls outside and grabs a ringside chair and brings it in. He uses it on Rey a few times, then props it up between the second and third rope. ADR attempts to send Rey crashing into the chair, but somehow, Rey reverses it and it is Del Rio who eats chair!
Rey fights back with kicks to the chest, back and head of ADR! When Del Rio is finally able to stand, Rey focuses his attack on ADR's legs, trying to keep him down.
The two continue to battle back and forth until The Miz and Ken Anderson come out and make it a three on one beat down. Pure Dynamite end up making the save for Rey.
The end came when Rey had ADR in position for the 6-1-9, but upon trying to hit the move, Rey's injured arm gave out and he took a spill to the arena floor, further injuring the arm.
ADR rolled Rey back in and locked on his Arm Breaker, and was screaming hysterically for Rey to tap out!!! Rey passed out from the pain. The Ref stopped the match and warded him the win and the CPW Championship at 13:16!

The Hooligan Squad (Dave Mastiff & Martin Stone)

Sheamus
One of the newest members of the Impact UK roster is Sheamus, the last man to hold the World Heavyweight Championship prior to CM Punk's current reign. Following the closure of Dragon Gate, he has joined Impact UK, the same promotion that houses our current Champion, CM Punk! Prior to our in ring introductions, we are greeted with a video package summing up these two men's past.
Following a victory over Bryan Danielson at Uncivil War, CM Punk eliminates “the American Dragon” in a battle royal to determine the number one contender for the World Heavyweight Championship! A week later, during a match between Roderick Strong and CM Punk, Sheamus dumps a load of beer on Punk. The two attempt to brawl, but security are able to hold them apart. The next week, Punk says he will shove a potato up Sheamus' ass! Later, Sheamus would face Bryan Danielson in a non-title match, with Danielson picking up the victory over the champion when Punk sprays Pepsi in his face! Finally, the video shows Punk causing Sheamus to pass out from the Anaconda Vice, and holding the World Heavyweight Championship up!Sheamus is the first man to enter the ring. Right before Living Colour's “Cult of Personality” plays, NWA Wildside's Tyson Kidd is shown watching from the backstage on a monitor. He didn't defeat Danielson tonight, but he evidently still plans on challenging for the Championship down the road! In ring introductions take place as the tale of the tape appears on the screen.
