NWA North American Tag Team Title Tournament Semi Final:

La Sombra and Mascara Dorada (NWA Mexico) vs Faces of Fear (Mark Henry and Samoa Joe) (NWA California Pro)

Going into this Sombra and Dorada had an added advantage, they had the entire crowd on their side, who were cheering them on to win the belts in front of their home crowd. And this helped them battle the size and sheer destructive force of their opponents, as they flew around and used every high risk move they could to unsettle the Faces of Fear. But it was a big ask for Dorada and Sombra to match them, especially considering the massive size and power of Henry and Joe, who have laid a path of destruction since their formation as a team, and they had plenty of opportunities to show that power here. And much to the disappointment of the home crowd, the Faces of Fear managed to use that power to win this contest, as Joe dropped Sombra with a big Muscle Buster to pin him for the 3 count.

NWA North American Tag Team Title Tournament Semi Final:

The Rockstars of Wrestling (Jimmy Rave and Jason Hades) (NWA Impact) vs The RockNES Monsters (Johnny Yuma and Johnny Goodtime) (NWA Impact)

A battle of rock and indeed J's in this semi final, not to mention a battle of NWA Impact stars, as the former World Tag Team Champions battle one of the younger teams in the NWA in the RockNES Monsters. It was a fairly even matchup, with Rave and Hades employing a more slow, mat based approach, while the RockNES Monsters had a more aerial game, taking lots of risks to wow the Mexican fans and try and win them over. But perhaps they took one too many risks here, as they missed a few key moves, and the experience of the former champs came through as a result. Rave would make Goodtime tap to the Heel Hook to help them advance.

NWA North American Title Tournament Semi Final:

Dolph Ziggler vs Sami Callihan

A really fun matchup here between two of the NWA's fastest rising stars, the winner knowing they'd stand a real chance at their first NWA gold. Callihan went on the offensive from the get go, throwing big fists and making use of some weapons at ringside, with the referee giving plenty of leeway considering this decides a final competitor later tonight. Ziggler on the other hand took this slower, trying to wear down Callihan to set up for his Sleeper Hold perhaps. Ziggler perhaps took this too slow at times though, and as a result that allowed Callihan opportunities, indeed had it not been for a rope break Callihan would have made Ziggler tap to the Stretch Muffler. The ropes played a role in the win to, as Ziggler snuck a rollup escaping the Headlock Driver and grabbed them to pick up the 3 count. Controversial ending which almost certainly guarantees Callihan a rematch at whoever wins this tournament.

NWA North American Title Tournament Semi Final:

Rob Van Dam vs KENTA

These two are veterans of their craft, and both put on a masterclass of junior heavyweight wrestling here, even if they didn't have a whole lot of time to do it in considering the match went less than 10 minutes. The kick exchanges were a big highlight, with KENTA proving to have the advantage in that department, while RVD proved to be the more adept high flyer, with his risk paying off more often than not. What it boiled down to was that KENTA had an advantage on the mat, he locked in some nasty submissions on the head and neck area, and that made his big moves which hit that area that much more effective. And when it came time to hit the Go To Sleep, there was no escape for RVD, KENTA advanced with a 3 count.

NWA IMPACT TITLE MATCH:

CM Punk vs. Jon Moxley

Moxley was still licking his wounds from Uncivil War, and you could see that he was embarrassed, and was looking to regain his choke hold on NWA Impact. Punk like Homicide is at war with Moxley's TOXIC faction, and a win tonight would be another major blow to Moxley's empire. The opening moments were a back and forth exchange, with both men trying to gain control, with so much on the line they had to play it relatively safe. Punk started to gain the upperhand after bringing some of Chicago to Mexico and the spine of Moxley with a backbreaker. Jon eventually broke down to his comfort zone, attacking Punk with wild punches and chops using his unorthodox style to pummel the former World Heavyweight champion. Moxley went for a clothesline but Punk was able to duck the move and plant Moxley with the Pepsi twist for a long two count. Punk tried to ascend to the top to try to finish off Jon with the elbow drop but Moxley would run up the turnbuckle and drive Punk to the mat with a top rope belly to back suplex that left both men down in the middle of the ring. The ref almost had a double count out but Moxley was up enough to break the count as he hit the Boma Ye on Punk, but couldn't get the win. The leader of TOXIC would get into the refs face arguing the count, giving Punk the chance to clothesline Moxley into the ref! CM Punk hit his mark with a high kick to the head of Moxley, following up with the G2S but the ref was still down! Punk tried to wake the ref, but Moxley would capitalize hitting a low blow on Punk, before hitting Punk with a piledriver. The ref was able to make the three count, just barely awarding the match to Jon Moxley.

As the sun begins to dip behind the rim of Plaza Mexico, a helicopter appears over the rim on the opposite side. Slung beneath the helicopter is a round domed cage. The helicopter approaches the center of the Plaza and lowers down just below the level of the rim. The cage is lowered down towards the ring. A ring crew member climbs on top of the cage and releases it from the cables. The helicopter rises up and flies away. The ring crew secure the cage to the ring and ringposts. The ring is ready for the Aztec Asylum!

Lin Bairon is introduced and comes out onto the Plaza floor as “Viva” by Bond plays. She shakes a few hands but stops in her tracks when she gets close to the cage. She looks up at the bamboo structure and moths “WOW” Lin walks around the cage, checking it to make sure it’s secure and strong. She starts climbing the wall and then onto the roof. When she reaches the opening at the top of the domed roof, she looks all around the Plaza. Instead of carefully lowering herself down through the hole, Lin dives through the hole, rolls in mid air and lands on her feet; the crowd explode in awe!

Syuri is introduced and Chopin’s “Funeral March” plays. Syuri slowly comes out on to the Plaza floor, followed simply by a single spotlight. She calmly approaches the cage with a blank look on her face. She checks the cage as she walks around it slowly. Lin watches Syuri climb the wall of the cage and make her way up to the top of the dome. Syuri sits on the edge of the opening, looking down at Lin. Syuri motions for the ref to move Lin away. Lin takes a couple steps back and waves for Syuri to come down. Syuri grabs onto the rim of the opening, swings down into the cage and drops to the mat. The ref calls for the bell.

Before Syuri can get her bearings, Lin jumps her like hyena on an antelope. Lin is clawing and scratching, punching and slapping, and pulling Syuri’s hair. Syuri pushes Lin off, scrambles to the ropes and is smiling. Lin charges in again but Syuri rolls out of the way and Lin hits the turnbuckle. Syuri goes on the offence with a violent placid aggression. After beating down Lin, Syuri grabs her by the hair, runs her across the ring and into the cage wall. Syuri runs her across the ring and into the cage wall again. Lin is collapsed between the cage and the ring ropes.

Syuri steps on Lin and starts to climb the cage wall. When Syuri reaches the first rung of the domed roof, Lin pulls herself up. Instead of climbing the cage wall, Lin climbs the turnbuckle. When Lin gets to the top turnbuckle, she jumps off and grabs Syuri by the ankles; they both crash to the mat.

Lin is back to her feet first. Lin launches onto Syuri with an aggression that is far from placid. Lin is working on Syuri’s legs to neutralize her kicks. Lin grabs Syuri’s foot and slams her knee into the mat over and over and over again. She does the same to Syuri’s other leg. Lin holds onto Syuri’s leg and lifts her into a stretch muffler. Lin kicks at Syuri’s head, opening a small cut.

Lin drops Syuri to the mat and heads to the cage wall. Lin slowly climbs the wall and reaches the first rung of the dome. She swings out, grabs the second rung, then the third rung. When Lin reaches the fourth rung, Syuri rolls over and looks up. Lin looks down when she gets to the fifth rung and sees Syuri giving her two one-finger salutes. Lin looks at the opening of the dome just a few feet away then back down at Syuri; Syuri is waving for her to come back. Lin swings her legs out, lets go and falls about a dozen feet, landing an elbow drop on Syuri’s chest.

The fans are chanting “Dios mio… Dios mio… Dios mio” as both Lin and Syuri and writhing in pain on the mat. Both are struggling to get up. Lin reaches the ropes and uses them to pull herself to her feet. She watches Syuri get to her knees before collapsing to the mat again. Lin slowly walks over to Syuri and reaches down to try and lift her but Syuri is almost dead weight. Lin stomps Syuri all over her body: head, shoulders, arms, hands, legs and feet.

Lin goes to a turnbuckle and slowly climbs to the top. Makoto comes running out to the cage, she hurriedly climbs the outside of the cage and up to the top of the dome. Makoto reaches an arm through the hole as Lin is slowly climbing rung by rung towards the opening. Makoto grabs one of Lin’s arms and pulls her into the opening. With her free hand, Makoto punches Lin in the face with brass knuckles; Lin crashes to the mat over 12 feet below with a deathly THUD.

Makoto climbs down into the cage and helps Syuri to her feet. They both stare at Lin and then hug. They go to the cage wall and Makoto uses her body to help Syuri climb the wall. Makoto climbs up the dome and out then reaches back through to pull Syuri out.

Syuri has escaped and wins the Aztec Asylum

NWA War Zone Title:

"The Abstract" Alex Shelley vs. "The Shinobi of the North" Kenny Omega

"The Abstract" looked to be a little more reserved going into this, while Omega was all fired up and looking to get things a little mixed up. These two would trade holds and counters before Shelley would catch Omega with an upward kick, sending him into the buckles. Shelley would come in, but Omega flips right over him, rolling and then catching him with a Huracanrana to the outside, followed by a Corkscrew Suicida to get a huge reaction from the crowd! Omega picks up Shelley and rams him into the apron, nailing him with a big chop and crying out, taunting and getting the fans behind him. Shelley catches him with a thrust kick and then a big chop of his own, following up with a Swinging DDT, propelling himself off the turnpost to send Omega down hard on the floor! Back in the ring, Shelley catches "The Shinobi of the North" with a big Missile Dropkick for a two count. Shelley goes into some suppressive wrestling, trying to ground him and grind him, but Omega is no slouch, getting the fans behind him and fighting out with passion, running off the ropes and trying for his Leapfrog Bulldog after some elbows, but Shelley has it scouted, backing out of it. Shelley tries for a high Spin Kick, but Omega ducks it and catches him with a Sweep Kick, followed directly by a Standing Shooting Star Press, but only a two count! Kenny picks up Shelley, dropping him with a Body Slam then yelling "OH BABY!" before going for a Quebrada, but Shelley moves and Omega lands on his feet. Omega tries for a Bicycle Kick, but Shelley dodges it, quickly catching him with a kick, followed by a Single Knee Facebuster, and then finishes up with a Double Knee Backbreaker for the two count. Shelley proceeds to get Omega tied up and humiliated with his Skull Fuck maneuver, causing Omega to look very outraged as he holds his face in pain. Shelley looks like he might be going for his finishing Automatic Midnight after a kick, but Omega breaks free, looking for a Dragon Suplex, but Shelley breaks out, backward kicking him and then hooking him in... Golden Gate Swing! Shelley bridges it, but only a two count! Shelley calls for the end, hooking him in and crossing the legs, but Omega fights out, nailing the HADOUKEN palm strike to his chest to send him back into the ropes, before hooking him in with the chancery and crossed leg hold, picking him up and driving him down with a Cross Leg Fisherman's Buster, but he only gets a two count on the pin attempt to the shock of the crowd! Kenny can't believe it, but sees Shelley picking himself up in the corner and rushes in... TONY JAA KNEE SMASH! Shelley stumbles out of the buckles, but stops abruptly as Omega puts his hand up... FLASH MAN'S TIME STOPPER ENZUIGIRI! Shelley still hasn't gone down, though, leading Omega to hit his Dragon Rush Suplex, which he pins afterwards, but still just a two count! Omega winds back, preparing to nail Shelley with the EX Hadouken to the face, but Shelley has it scouted and catches him mid-move, sending him right into the Border City Stretch! Omega is crying out and kicking his legs, desperately reaching, and gets the bottom rope. Omega gets up, catching a quick Superkick to send him back into the ropes, followed by a Sliced Bread #2 off the ropes, which "The Abstract" thinks might have it won for him, but still just a two count! Shelley tries to lock on the BCS again, but Omega rolls through it and pulls him over into a Crucifix-style pinning combination for a two. Shelley is up and gets caught in the chest with a Spinning Heel Kick to take him down. Omega quickly picks him up and lifts him into the Electric Chair position, looking for his Croyt's Wrath, but Shelley rains down punches to the top of his head then spins, taking him over with a Huracanrana! Omega is up and tries a wild swing, but Shelley blocks it and spins him... SHELLSHOCK! Shelley pins, but Omega kicks out at two! Shelley picks up Omega, looking for Automatic Midnight once again, but Omega floats over it and tries for a Sunset Flip Roll-Up, but Shelley rolls through and catches him with a Dropkick to the face! He then picks him up and hooks him in... AUTOMATIC MIDNIGHT! Shelley pins, but Omega still kicks out at two! Shelley can't believe it, but picks him up, trying again, but Omega blocks it with elbows. Shelley stumbles, holding his head, but turns to catch a Flying Spin Kick to the head that sends him down to all fours. Shelley gets to a knee, only to see Omega has wound back and is running at him... EX HADOUKEN! Kenny pins, looking very confident that he has it, but NO! Shelley kicks out again! Kenny can't believe it, and actually grabs the ref by the collar to ask, "WHAT THE HELL!?" Shelley is back up and Kenny kicks him, trying to get him up into the Electric Chair position again, but Shelley slips off, grabbing Omega by the wrist and stepping over, taking him down with his roll-up Shelley Clutch pin, but Omega still escapes! Both men are up quick and Omega runs off the ropes, Headscissors Takedown! Omega tries for another Hadouken, but Shelley drops to his back on the mat, kipping up and catching Omega with a backward kick to the gut, grabbing him into a Tombstone position and spinning him before lifting him and dropping him with a Wheelbarrow Facebuster! Shelley rolls to the ropes and heads up top, where he yells "ORALE, VATO!" and flies off with a very high impact Frog Splash! Shelley hooks the leg very tight and it's all over! ALEX SHELLEY IS THE FIRST NWA WAR ZONE CHAMPION!

Las Princesas (Sujei y Blanca) vs. Estrellita y Luna Magica

FIRST FALL:

Estrellita and Luna Magica are double teaming Princesa Sujei. Princesa Blanca is at ringside yelling at the fans who aren't giving her the proper respect that royalty deserves. Luna Magica runs towards Estrellita who gives her a "boost" to do a flying dropkick on Sujei. Estrellita does a running elbowdrop on Sujei. Sujei is yelling for help from Blanca who is still arguing with some fans. Estrellita throws Luna Magica on top on Sujei and then climbs on her partner's back for a dogpile pin. 1..2..3!!! As soon as Sujei is free, she runs to Blamca and slaps her in the face.

Sujei - What are you doing out here? I needed you in the ring.

Blanca - (sarcastically) Oh, I'm sorry, your highness, did you break a nail while I was gone?

Sujei - We lost the first fall, you idiot!

SECOND FALL:

All four luchadoras are in the ring. Sujei is fighting with Estrellita and Blanca has Luna Magica trapped in the corner. Estrellita does a plancha on Sujei knocking her off her feet. Blanca is beating Luna mercilessly while Luna is using her forearms to block the barrage of punches. Sujei rolls out of the ring. Estrellita climbs to the top rope and does a flying bulldog on Sujei. The two brawl at ringside. Luna kicks Blanca and finally manages to fight her way out of the corner. Blanca grabs Lana's arm locks it between her legs and rolls her up for a pin. 1,,2..bridge!! Blanca grabs Luna's legs and slaps on an inverted figure four. Luna is able to reach the ropes or break the hold! Luna Magica has no choice but to give up.

Eiko - Blanca gets a measure of revenge for her tag team partner and shows that they still have a chance to win this match!

Felino - What do you expect? My wife is a great ring general. I taught her everything that I know.

Eiko - Which might not mean that much.

Felino - Hey!!

THIRD FALL:

Princesa Blanca is thrown out of the ring after Estrellita and Luna Magica whip her towards and over the ropes. Luna magica runs and does a flying dive onto Blanca! While they are brawling at ringside, Sujei charges at Estrellita. She sidesteps and trips Sujei. She grabs Sujei's arms and locks her feet on Sujei's legs. Tapita Surfboard submission hold! Sujei is screaming in pain as she struggles to get free. Blanca\a rushes into the ring to make the save, Blanca breaks the hold. Luna Magica climbs to the top turnbuckle to do a missle drop kick on Blanca. Blanca goes down and lands on Sujei. Estrellita kicks Blanca in the ribs to get her out of the way. Estrellita does a leg drop and then goes for the schoolgirl rollup. 1...2...3!!!

Eiko - Estrellita has beaten Sujei?

Felino - Oh, get over it! Sujei is far from invincible!!

Eiko - Isn't your wife Sujei's partner?

Felino - Well, yes, um. Well, Blanca's had alot of her mind lately with my upcoming fight against Atlantis. I will defend her honor! (seeing Brazo de Oro walking to the ring) Oh look! Here comes Brazo de Oro!

Eiko - I'll bet you're relieved!

Brazo de Oro - (taking the ring mic) According to the rules of NWA Mexico, if someone beats a champion in a non-title match, The champion is obligated to give a title shot to the winner of the fall if the person is the proper gender and/or weight class.

Sujei - So what's your point?

Brazo de Oro - My point is that you will have to defend your championship belt against Ayumi Kurihara, Chii Tomiya and ESTRELLITA!!! (The fans roar in approval as Estrellita celebrates with Luna Magica. Sujei stomps her feet in a fit of rage.) This will be a four way elimination match. The sole survivor will become the NWA Mexican Women's Champion!!

Eiko - Wow! Brazo de Oro decided to add insult to injury! Las Princesas are obviously not over their jet lag!

Felino - She's lucky that she hasn't been stripped of the belt with all of the trouble she's caused as champion!

Marco Corleone, Maximo y Rush (C) vs. Ultimo Guerrero, Rey Bucanero y Atlantis

FIRST FALL:

Maximo is fighting Ultimo Guerrero in the ring while the other four participants are brawling at ringside. They lock up. Ultimo Guerrero gets a bearhug on Maximo who kisses the rudo! Ultimo Guerrero release the hold to push maximo back but gets tossed in a belly to belly suplex!! The referees counts, 1..2..3!! (Ultimo Guerrero gets up and starts beating on Maximo!! The officals have to enter the ring to separate the two.

Felino - Are you jealous that your man was kissing another man?

Eiko - Maximo used a dirty trick to take advantage of him!! How much more of this nonsense will NWA Mexico put up with?

SECOND FALL:

Alantis whips Maximo into the rudo's corner. Rey Bucanero takes a rope and strangles Maximo with it. Atlantis tells him to stop using the rope. Rey Bucanero does so. Maximo locks up with Atlantis and Maximo were laid out by a running tackle executed by Rey Bucanero! Bucanero covers Maximo. 1..2..3!!!

Felino - Bucanero took out his partner just to get a pin on Maximo?

Eiko - Atlantis couldn't get the job done so Bucanero had to take care of business! It's simple practical wrestling strategy!

Felino - Don't get me wrong, It's good to see Atlantis get kicked around the ring. It just makes me beating him in the ring all the more easy!

THIRD FALL:

Marco Corleone and Rush both enter the ring and double team Altantis while Ultimo Guerrero and Rey Bucanero are beating on Maximo at ringside. Corleone picks up Atlantis and sklams him down hard! He picks up Rush and slams him onto Atlantis 1..2..3!!! Ultimo Guerrero and Rey Bicanero slide intio the ring and start beating on Atlantis!! Ultimo Guerrero grabs the ring mic as Rey Bucanero continues to assault Atlantis.

Ultimo Guerrero - We lost this match because Atlantis just couldn't cut it as a member of Los Fuerza Guerreros! Rey, just throw that trash out if the ring and leave him! He's not worth anything to us now!

Eiko - I always knew that there was something about Atlantis that I didn't like. I couldn't put my finger on it until now. He's weak and useless as a member of Los Fuerza Guerreros.

Felino - So your man just shovels out the $%#^ and you eat it up?

Eiko - (slapping Felino in the face) How dare you talk about him that way!!

Felino - I must have been pretty close to the mark to get you all rilled up like that!

Eiko - Even a weakling like Atlantis could tear you limb from limb! I'll enjoy watching that match just to see you two take care of my man's light work!

FIRST FALL:

Marco Corleone whips Shocker towards the ropes. Shocker stops himself and poses for the crowd. Marco does executes a running spear takedown! Marco pivots his hips which causes the female fans to cheer even louder. Shocker gets up. Marco tries to kick Shocker but he catches his foot. Enzuguri!! Shocker goes down and Marco covers him as he's hooking Shocker's leg. 1..2..3!!! Shocker kicks out but it's too late!

Eiko - Marco's team has won the first fall!

Felino - That's what you get for being so cocky, Shocker!

SECOND FALL:

Diamante Azul and Volador Jr. are in the ring while their partners are all outside of the ring fighting. Volador charges at Diamante Azul who leapfrogs him. Volador Jr. bounces off the ropes and connects with a running tackle! Diamante Azul grabs on one of Volador Jr.'s arms and yanks on it while locking it between his legs. Volador Jr. manages to reach the ropes. Azul released the hold and does a flipping leg drop on the same arm that he just entrapped. Volador Jr. rolls out of the way before can execute a second one. They lockup. Diamante quickly goes behind Volador Jr. and executes a German Suplex! Moving like lighting he gets his opponent in position for the El Escudo (over the neck backbreaker submission). Volador is trying to fight the hold. He isn't close enough to reach the ropes. Volador Jr. has given up!

Eiko - Does this earn Diamante Azul a title shot for Volador Jr. Light Heavyweight title?

Felino - It would appear to be the case. Brazo de Oro will most likely made an official decision after the third fall.

THIRD FALL:

Terrible has Brazo de Plata pushed into a corner of the ring. He starts slapping Super Porky which causes him to cry. Plata pushes Terrible away and tries to tag out. Terrible grabs his leg and tries to slap on a figure four leglock! Brazo de Plata kicks him away. Plata is crawling to get to his corner. Shocker is reaching out to let Super Porky tag him in. Terrible stands by Plata, grabs his legs and then does a headbutt to his abdomen! Terrible gets Super porky into a Scorpion Leglock, Brazo de plata is fighting the hold. He's too exhausted to get to the ropes or break the hold. Super Porky has given up!

(Brazo de Oro walks to the ring. Volador Jr. start arguing with him before he can even speak.)

Brazo de Oro - Despite the fact that the Mexican Champions beat the returning legends, Diamante Azul has earned a title shot at the NWA Mexican Light Heavyweight Championship!!!

(Diamante Azul celebrates with Shocker and Brazo de Plata who raised him up on their shoulders. Volador Jr. argues with Brazo de Oro about his decision. After a few minutes, he turns his back on Volador Jr, who pushes him off the ring apron! Officials run to the ring and restrain Volador Jr.. and take him away from the ring so that the next match can get underway.)

NWA North American Tag Team Title Tournament Final:

Faces of Fear (Mark Henry and Samoa Joe) vs The Rockstars of Wrestling (Jimmy Rave and Jason Hades)

Going in, it was really difficult to pick a winner here, as while the Faces of Fear had a significant power advantage, The Rockstars of Wrestling had the advantage of being former World Tag Team champions, and knowing how to get the job done when it counts most in big matches. Rave and Hades had a lot of tricks up their sleeves, they broke the rules a number of times, and wore down Henry with submissions in addition to taking a few risks to weaken him. But the tide turned when Henry nailed Hades with a Worlds Strongest Slam out of nowhere, completely taking Hades out of the match, and when Henry tagged Joe rave was effectively in a handicap match. Rave could only hold out for so long, and when Joe locked in the Coquina Clutch there was nobody to save Rave, he tapped out to make the Faces of Fear our first North American Tag Team Champions!

NWA North American Title Tournament Final:

Dolph Ziggler vs KENTA

KENTA and Ziggler have both proven their mat skill in the previous rounds, and in the final they had a chance to further prove it as they fought to be the first NWA North American Champion. The two were perfectly matched on the mat, so Ziggler couldn't wrestle slow in this one, he had to try and speed things up and hit as many big moves as he could. This worked to some extent, but KENTA had those massive kicks in his arsenal that Ziggler didn't have an answer for, they got him time and time again. When becoming a champion however, it often boils down to who wants it more, and who can spot that opportunity to make their legacy, and that opportunity presented itself to one man. KENTA prepared for the Go To Sleep, but he took a few seconds too long to get Dolph in position, and Dolph took that opportunity fully, nailing the Zig Zag and making the cover, getting the 3 count and writing his name into history as the first NWA North American Champion!

Special International Grudge Match:

Ultimo Guerrero y Atlantis vs Brock Lesnar y Kurt Angle

FIRST FALL:

Brock Lesnar is being double teamed while Kurt Angle is at ringside arguing with some of the fans who booed him earlier in the match. Ultimo Guerrero and Atlantis try to clothesline Lesnar. He ducks and does a running football tackle that takes both of them down. Brock Lesnar whips Ultimo Guerrero into the corner and does the same thing to Atlantis causing him to sandwhich his partner between himself and the turnbuckles. Ultimo Guerrero pushes Atlantis roughly and then runs to face Brock Lesnar. Atlantis climbs the turnbuckle and dives off towards Brock Lasnar who catches his opponent in midair. F-5!!! Atlantis is out cold!!! Ultimo Guerrero kicks Atlantis out of his way. Brock Lesnar locks up with Ultimo Guerrero. Before can do anything about he finds himself overpowered and in the Brock Lock! Ultimo Guerrero tries to break free but the strength is Brock Lesnar is just too much for him. Ultimo Guerrero gives up!!!

Eiko - He had no choice but to give up but it still bothers me that Lesnar won the first fall!

Felino - And Lesnar did it without the help of Kurt Angle!

SECOND FALL:

Kurt Angle finds himself in trouble and Ultimo Guerrero unloads a fury of strikes against him/ Kurt Angle tries to tag in Lesnar who jumps of the apron and onto the floor. Ultimo Guerrero charges Kurt Angle and spears him right out of the ring! Ultimo Guerrero climbs to the top turnbuckle and does a moonsault onto Kurt Angle. Brock Lesnar throws Kurt Angle back into the ring. Ultimo Guerrero enters the ring and drags Angle to one of the corners. Ultimo Guerrero is climbing the turnbuckle as Kurt Angle fights back. When they get to the top turnbuckle. Ultimo Guerrero grabs Kurt Angle and flips off the turnbuckle. Moonsault Corner Slam!!! The referee gets into position to count the pin. 1..2..3!!!

Eiko - I'm so proud of Ultimo Guerrero! He came back from what seemed would be the end of the match!

Felino - Big Deal! Brock Lesnar let Kurt Angle hang out to dry. They can't win this match if they are at odds with each other.

THIRD FALL:

All four competitors are brawling in the ring. Kurt Angle slides out of the ring to grab a steel chair. Atlantis runs to the other side of the ring, bounces off the ropes and does a Plancha Suicida! Kurt Angle holds up the chair and hurts Atlantis! Kurt Angle runs into the ring and tries to hit Ultimo Guerrero with the chair. Guerrero dives out of the way and Brock Lesnar gets blasted with the chair! Ultimo Guerrero dropkicks the chair into Kurt Angle's face. He picks up the chair and proceeds to beat Kurt Angle with it. Atlantis slides into the ring and tries to stop Ultimo Guerrero from using the weapon. Ultimo Guerrero knocks Atlantis out cold with a swift chair shot! He throws the chair on the motionless Brock Lesnar. He climbs the turnbuckle and does a frog splash onto the chair! Ultimo Guerrero throws the chair into the ringside area. He rolls Brock Lesnar over and applies the Camel Clutch. Brock Lesnar comes to and struggles to regroup and escape the hold. Brock Lesnar is bleeding as a result of Kurt Angle's chair shot. Lesnar is too fatigued to continue and quits when he realizes that he can't reach the ropes of break free from the hold.

Eiko - Yeah! (Eiko throws down her headset and runs into the ring. She gives gives her boyfriend a big hug and he responds with a kiss. She has a shocked look on her face and then jumps into his arms to kiss him some more.

Felino - Get a room!

(Brock Lesnar does the F-5 on Kurt Angle! Atlantis runs to make the save but is out into the Brock Lock! Both Atlantis and Kurt Angle are left motionless as Brock Lesnar walks away by way of the ramp.)

Eiko - (after composing herself and making her way back to her seat) All I can say is "Wow"!

Felino - About the match or that kiss?

NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Title:

"The Blockbuster!" Johnny Gargano (c) vs. Spanky

Gargano is very cautious early, not looking to mix it up and give Spanky the advantage early. He knows that the veteran has to beat him, not the other way around, to win the championship. Gargano is getting booed by the crowd for his tactics of avoidance, mouthing off with them, but finally decides to grapple. Spanky and Gargano don't have the smoothest of technical wrestling displays, but Spanky comes out of top of it to the cheers of the audience. Gargano is able to catch Spanky with a Dropkick to send to the outside and gain a bit of momentum. The champion threatens to dive to the outside, but catches himself as Spanky moves, before heading to the apron and going for a dive, but Spanky catches him with a Dropkick coming down! From there, Spanky climbs up top and flies out onto Gargano with a high soaring Crossbody Plancha, getting a big reaction! Back in the ring, Gargano uses an eye poke to gain the advantage again, nailing a Swinging Reverse STO and thinking he has it, but only a two count! Gargano stomps Spanky into the mat, mouthing him viciously and taunting him, before picking him up off the mat and smashing him into the buckles with his deadly Lawn Dart maneuver to the gasps of the crowd, but still only a two count! Gargano tries for the Crosston Crab, but Spanky boots him in the face, going for a quick School Boy after, but only a two count! Gargano is back up, but Spanky takes him down with a Calf Kick, followed by a series of armdrags and then a hitting an Inverted Lungblower, but still just a two count! Spanky picks up Gargano and drives him to the mat with a Michinoku Driver II, heading up top afterwards and trying for a Shooting Star Press, but Gargano moves! Gargano manages to lock on his Garga-NO Escape (Crossface Chickenwing), but Spanky rushes backwards before he can really cinch it in, trying to bash him into the buckles, but instead the back of Gargano's head collides with the referee! The ref is down, but Gargano breaks, and Spanky is free, grabbing Gargano and running across the ring and hitting a big time Sliced Bread #2! Spanky thinks he has it, but the referee is down! Gargano sneaks up behind him as he tries to revive the ref, rolling him up with a School Boy and holding the tights, but the referee is still out of it! Gargano now tries to wake him up, before turning around. Spanky tries to kick him, but Gargano catches it and spins him into a Full Nelson! He tries to nail the Hurts Donut, but Spanky slides out and rolls him forward into a pinning combination, but the ref is slow to get to the count and it's only two! "The Blockbuster!" is back up and tries for a clothesline, but Spanky ducks it and tries to lock him into a Cobra Clutch, but Gargano manages to break free and go for his Garga-NO Escape, but Spanky stomps his foot and elbows him, breaking free and twisting him down and into the Spanky Twist! Gargano is too close to the ropes, though, and breaks free! Spanky tries to hurry and execute the Sliced Bread #2 again, but Gargano manages to twist and throw him off, catching him with the Baby Ace Crusher! Gargano goes for the cover but only a two count! Gargano picks up Spanky, but gets caught with a Jawbreaker, followed by a big Dropkick that sends him to the apron. Gargano gets up to his feet on the apron and Spanky rushes, only to get caught with a Spear through the ropes! Gargano stumbles up as Spanky holds his gut, getting to a knee. Gargano attempts a Superkick, but Spanky catches it and spins him, grabbing his head and trying for another Sliced Bread #2, but Gargano shoves him away. Gargano rushes in for a clothesline, but Spanky ducks it and catches him with an Enzuigiri, followed by a Front Dropkick that sends him into the buckles! Spanky is building up and runs, jumping and trying for maybe a flying kick, but the champion moves and Spanky gets caught up in the Tree of Woe position! Gargano pushes him forward, grabbing his head, and nails almost a Rope-Hung Hurts Donut, causing Spanky to crash and burn, and it's over! Gargano overcomes, but not without a little luck!

NWA Women’s World Title


As the challenger, Dark Angel is introduced first. She comes out to a HUGE pop from the fans she has entertained for a decade. She walks around ringside shaking hands with everyone who wants to. She climbs into the ring and blows kisses out to the crowd. Dark Angel waits patiently as Kana is introduced. Kana gets a mixed reaction from the crowd as she walks out onto the floor of the Plaza. Kana stops and looks all around at the huge crowd. Kana walks to the ring calmly and climbs in. She walks around, pointing her samurai sword out at the crowd before turning to face Dark Angel and making a slashing motion with the sword.

Dark Angel and Kana stare at each other intently as the official announcements and introductions are made. The ref calls them to the center of the ring and goes over the rules. They shake hands while still staring then back off to their corners. The ref calls for the bell.

They slowly circle around before trying a lockup. Kana breaks the lockup quickly. The circle around and lockup again only for Kana to break the lockup again. Dark Angel slaps Kana only to be met with a big overhand right that drops Dark Angel. Dark Angel taps her head and smiles at Kana. Kana holds out her hand to help Dark Angel to her feet. Dark Angel leg sweeps Kana and hops to her feet. Kana looks up from the mat and gently applauds before getting to her feet.

Dark Angel dives in and take Kana back down with a single leg. Dark Angel holds onto Kana’s foot and spins around her leg once then twice then locks on the hold. With her free leg, Kana kicks Dark Angel’s arm, forcing a break. As Kana is getting up, Dark Angel grabs her leg again and executes a dragon screw. Dark Angel’s game plan is now obvious, she intends to take away Kana’s legs to neutralize her offence. Dark Angel stays on Kana’s legs, working one then the other.
Kana forces a break of an ankle lock by getting to the bottom rope. When Dark Angel backs off, Kana rolls under the rope to the apron. When Dark Angel comes back, Kana grabs her arm and rolls to the floor, yanking Dark Angel’s arm over the middle rope. Ignoring the pain in her legs, Kana dives into the ring and goes to work on Dark Angel’s arm. Kana executes a couple of arm drags to bring Dark Angel to the mat. Kana grabs Dark Angel’s arm again and flips back and forth, stretching the arm to its’ limits. From a top mount position, Kana twists Dark Angel’s arm behind her back. Dark Angel is struggling to get free and eventually gets a foot on the bottom rope.
Kana waits for Dark Angel to get to her feet. When Dark Angel gets up, Kana grabs her arm again and jumps over the top rope to the floor, stretching the arm over the top rope. Dark Angel collapses to the mat. Kana slides back in, grabs Dark Angel’s injured arm and pulls her over into a reverse cross armbar. Dark Angel is in too much pain and has no choice but to tap out.

Kana forced Dark Angel to submit to a reverse cross armbreaker to retain the NWA Women’s World Title

NWA WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH:

Future Shock(Kyle O'Reilly & Adam Cole) vs. The Briscoes(Mark & Jay)(c)

Since reunited Future Shock have been on an impressive streak, taking down the majority of NWA Impacts, red hot tag division. The Briscoes however are at the top of the entire NWA and have been an extremely dominant team. The chicken farmers from Sandy Fork, were a long way from home as they went to war to defend their claim as the champions of the world. Kyle O'Reilly started the match off across the ring from the elder Briscoe. Jay and Kyle would exchange strikes in a test of wills with both men blistering each other with chops and kicks. Kyle would try to bring Jay to the mat after taking a barrage of chops from the champ. O'Reilly was able to take the advantage and hold Jay while making the tag to Adam Cole, the mouth piece of Future Shock. Jay had no where to go as he took a superkick to the chin from Cole, but was able to kick out after two. Mark was on the apron hopping up and down trying to reach as far as he possible could for a tag to get his brother out of danger. Future Shock did their best to keep Jay in their corner, as they kept making quick tags to exploit some damaging double team offense. Jay was able to counter a whip from Cole, hitting him with a big mafia kick before tagging in little brother Mark. The younger Briscoe was on fire as he blasted both members of Future Shock with wild fists before clotheslining Cole, Mark tried for a crab walk across the ropes to hit a big senton but ended up getting kicked in the back by O'Reilly. Jay tried to get involved and Kyle fired off another huge kick before Cole nailed a straight jacket German suplex with a bridge that nearly won the match. Cole was beside himself, having to shake off being stunned that Mark could kick out. Adam stalked Mark Briscoe, hitting another superkick, but Mark would stagger back and get blind tagged by an angry Jay Briscoe who came into the match booting both members of Future Shock, knocking them both out of the ring with a double clothesline! Jay would pick his brother up chucking him over the top rope onto O'Reilly and Cole before making a sloppy but effect dive of his own onto everyone on the outside. Jay tried to bring Adam Cole back into the ring to finish the match but Cole would cut off the champ and hit the Panama Sunset (front flip piledriver) to finally put away the Briscoes making Future Shock the World Tag Team champions for a second time!

Alberto Del Rio makes his way out first to a standing ovation from all the Mexican fans, who chant his name. Alberto basks in the cheers and walks his way to the ring, the fans loving his every move. Kyle Matthews then makes his way out to deafening boos from the partisan crowd, and Matthews doesn't care one bit. Matthews grabs a mic.

Matthews: So NWA, you've stacked one final weight against me on my way to glory, putting me in front of Alberto Del Rio's home fans, because you think that the boos of these fans will get to me. I'm used to these kind of ovations, I got them all the time when I was proving why I am the most hybrid athlete in the NWA, and they aren't going to phase me tonight. You Mexican idiots can cheer for this man all you like, but when I win that belt and take it back to America where it belongs, your all going to feel very stupid. And when I win that belt, I'm never coming back to defend it in this dump of a country ever again!

The fans are at near riot levels of anger after Matthews' words, as one of the most hyped NWA World Title matches ever gets underway.

NWA World Heavyweight Title Match
Alberto Del Rio vs Kyle Matthews
The two men circle each other as they prepare to lockup for this massive match. Collar and elbow tieup and the two exchange wristlocks and headlocks, feeling each other out for the first few minutes of this one. That is until Alberto takes Matthews down with some armdrags, followed by a clothesline that send Matthews outside the ring. Matthews regroups on the outside as the fans give him hell, but again it doesn't phase him as Del Rio and Matthews lock up again. Matthews takes advantage for a brief moment with a headlock, but after being thrown off the ropes Del Rio nails the Enziguri! 1-2-NO, so close! Del Rio is going for the Cross Armbreaker, but Matthews reverses and sends Del Rio into the corner, SLURPEE KICK! 1-2-NO, again another close near fall. Matthews slows down the pace, working on the neck area of Del Rio with submissions, notably not working on the arm for the Hidaka Lock which will not win him this match, he must pin the World champion as per the stipulation. Matthews throws Del Rio into the corner, looking for another Slurpee Kick, but Del Rio avoids and nails a DDT out of nowhere! Del Rio begins to fight back, taking down Matthews with a series of Clotheslines, followed by a big German Suplex for a near fall. Del Rio sets up for another Enziguri but misses, HIDAKA LOCK! Matthews knows he can't win the match with this hold but has it locked in anyway, because if he can snap Del Rio's arm it'll be pretty difficult for him to keep going. Del Rio reaches the ropes and Matthews has to break the hold. Matthews picks up Del Rio, BUT DEL RIO LOCKS HIM IN THE CROSS ARMBREAKER! Matthews struggles as the champion looks like he's got this in the bag, but Matthews refuses to die, edging slowly towards the ropes. He gets the ropes after over a minute in the hold, but the damage may have already been done. Now Del Rio begins to show signs of frustration, going outside to grab a chair, and that would cause a DQ which would help him retain his title. He waits for Matthews to get up, BUT MATTHEWS DROPKICKS THE CHAIR IN HIS FACE! 1-2-NO, DEL RIO KICKS OUT! Matthews throws Del Rio into the corner, SLURPEE KICK! 1-2-3, MATTHEWS WINS, KYLE MATTHEWS IS THE NEW NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!
Winner- NEW NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION, KYLE MATTHEWS

The fans are throwing garbage into the ring as Kyle Matthews lifts up the NWA World Heavyweight Title, defying the odds and beating the Mexican hero. Matthews leaves with the belt, as Del Rio returns to his feet and receives a standing ovation from the fans, applauding his efforts despite his defeat. The show ends with a disappointed Alberto Del Rio raising his arms and soaking in the cheers from the Mexican fans.

(After the NWA World Heavyweight title belt is awarded to Kyle Matthews, the lights are dimmed and "Jar of Love" by Wan Ting Qu is displayed on the tron.)



(Ultimo Guerrero walks to the ring wearing a tuxedo and carrying a small box in one hand and a cordless microphone in the other. As he enters the ring, the music fades and the lights are brightened. He puts the microphone to his mouth.)

Ultimo Guerrero - Eiko Koike, would you please come to the ring?

(Nervously, Eiko drops her headset and makes her way to the ring. Ultimo Guerrero walks her up the steps and holds the ropes open for her to enter. She takes his hands as he looks her straight in the eyes.)

Ultimo Guerrero - I know that we've only known each other for several months but this year has been my best ever. When we kissed for the first time tonight, it confirmed that you are the one I want to spend the rest of my life with. (getting down on one knee and opening the box to reveal an engagement ring.) Eiko Koike, with this crowd as our witnesses, will you make me the happiest man in the world by marrying me? (Tears of joy stream down her face as Ultimo Guerrero stands up. She embraces him and kisses him passionately. )

Eiko - (answering him in Spanish, English and Japanese) Si! Yes! Hai!

(Ultimo Guerrero walks hand in hand with Eiko as they leave the arena to the cheers of approval by the fans.)

Awesome two days overall. Even though I wrote the match and knew the result in advance, I'm still ecstatic to see KYle Matthews crowned NWA World Heavyweight Champion. Building him from opening level talent up to legit main eventer and World Champion has been the most fun I've ever had playing this game. And with Future Shock, a team built via The Revolution group of talent I built, becoming 2 time tag champs, the 3 sets of World champs are all guys I had a part in building, something which really makes me proud about the way I've built young guys up over the past year or two. If I want Matthews reign to achieve anything specific, its to encourage more people to build young stars who might not make it in real life, and not to rely upon older stars, because thats what this game should be about, doing things we wouldn't see in wrestling in real life.

Anyways, I'm rambling, congrats to our nw NA champs Dolph Ziggler and The Faces of Fear as well.
