*Author's Note* This is going to be a bare bones show and not at all how I wanted to do it. Doing these "guest writer" shows has been an awesome experience and it's honestly due to everyone leaving the feedback that they have. Thank you for not completely crapping all over "Jim Pressely" and his recap and allowing me to have a little bit of fun with it. Things at work have left me angry and burned out, so I decided to put the effort on the August 25th episode of South Beach TV which will feature NWA World Champion Kyle Matthews vs. South Beach Champion Low Ki in a Last Man Standing match. That being said, if you all would like I'll throw in a House show in addition to my two tv shows every once in a while.
One final reminder to check out CPW's Glory Bound this Sunday and DVR South Beach TV to find out whether we get a new World Heavyweight Champion.
- South Beach Champion Low Ki came out to begin the show and said that he is a champion that fights with honor and tonight he defends the most prestigious title in Florida's history against two men: one with honor and one without, but even that pales in comparison to what lays ahead this Sunday. He says that he has stood back and watched as the leader of misguided souls, Kyle Matthews, has run rampant throughout the NWA all in the name of killing this great organization. On Sunday the man who is a false prophet and counts a faux pope among his followers will have to face a man who has been sent to the pits of hell by his best friend and even THAT couldn't keep him down. On Sunday Kyle's reign of terror over the NWA will end because The World Warrior will be the Last. Man. Standing.
- Our first match of the evening was the first of FOUR King of the Ring Series four way elimination matches where EVERY pinfall/submission/count out/DQ would be worth points. The first was a match made it the first house show, with a tiny tweak as Chris Hero from Independent Union would square off with Colt Cabana from CPW as well as Uhaa Nation and Damien Sandow from South Beach. Sandow would enter last and cut a promo on his way to the ring degrading every person in it as well as the fans. When the bell rang poor Sandow got mauled by all three men and was eliminated by Chris Hero after a Roaring Elbow. After getting rid of the sycophant Sandow this became an exciting three way contest with Chris Hero next eliminating Uhaa Nation after a Hero's Welcome. Down to two men Cabana and Hero battled for a good 10 minutes before Cabana picked up the win after hitting a Colt 45.
- The next match was a tag team match between RedEye Flights and Flying While Intoxicated. Storm and Sydal got a big pop from the crowd when "Sorry 'bout Your Damn Luck" hit. This was a back and forth match with both teams giving it all for this small group of people. Storm and Sydal would pick up the win following a Last Call on Red followed by a shooting star press. Both teams shook hands in the middle of the ring and Storm told The No Remorse Corps to watch out because it's about damned time some new blood got into the South Beach Tag Team Title picture.
- The third match of the evening was another fatal four way elimination in the King of the Ring series between The Undertaker of NWA Southwest, Caprice Coleman of CPW, Alex Riley of CPW, and Matt Hardy of CPW. The Undertaker would take the first fall after eliminating Matt Hardy with Hell's Gate. Alex Riley kept showing this renewed intensity and managed to pin Caprice Coleman after hitting You're Dismissed. Alex Riley vs. The Undertaker. The best part of Wrestling's past vs. what could become a big part of wrestling's future. Most people are intimidated by The Phenom, but Riley didn't seem to be; trading punches with one of the best strikers that this sport has ever seen. Eventually though, Undertaker would pin A-Ry after a Last Ride. Post match Undertaker picked Riley up and stared at him for a minute before nodding and exiting the ring as the crowd applauded in appreciation.
- The fourth match of the evening was Bray Wyatt defeating a local jobber with Sister Abigail. After the match Bray grabbed a mic and told everyone that they're wandering around trying to find the answers to their problems...but they been lying to themselves man. There is no conventional solutions to their problems...and only by following the buzzards will they be able to see the light in the darkness.
- After the intermission our fifth match of the evening took place and it was another match in the King of the Ring series. Karl Anderson of Hybrid Pro would take on Justin Gabriel, Scott Steiner and Wes Brisco of CPW. Showing some territorial loyalty, the CPW contingent tried to disarm the machine gun...but to no avail. Anderson would take out Wes Brisco first with a spinning spine buster before locking eyes with Scott Steiner and telling him to bring it on. Steiner tried to hide behind Justin Gabriel who would quickly realize what was happening and start unloading on Steiner! Anderson would let things go for a bit and join in hitting a Stun Gun on Steiner to set up Gabriel hitting a 450 to eliminate Steiner. Anderson would help Gabriel up and they nodded at each other before going back and forth with the crowd split almost evenly. Eventually Gabriel would go to the well once too many times and barely miss a 450, allowing Anderson to hit a Bernard Driver to win the match. Anderson would help Gabriel and they would shake hands in the middle of the ring as the crowd applauded.
- The next match was Chuck Taylor vs. Wade Barrett. These two aren't really experienced enough with each other's styles but they put on a good match. Barrett would win with a Bullhammer following a distraction from Adam Cole. Cole would get in the ring and tell Taylor that he should grow eyes in the back of his head.
- The seventh match was supposed to be the final King of the Ring series match but Jon Moxley and CM Punk would burst through the curtain battling each other with both TOXIC and the Straight Edge Nation trying to keep the other side from interfering. Eventually Howard E. Schilling would come from behind the curtain with Low Ki and said that if Punk and Moxley wanted to act like children, they'd be treated like children and not get the main event slot. If Low Ki didn't want to defend the South Beach title tonight that was up to him. Low Ki agreed to defend the title then because he is a fighting champion. Low Ki, Punk and Moxley then proceeded to tear the house down for 35 minutes, pulling out every trick in the playbook and providing Low Ki all he could handle in preparation for Sunday's match with the worlds champ. Low Ki would retain the title after managing to hit a Krush Kombo on Moxley. Post match CM Punk would hand the South Beach title to Low Ki...but not before taking a long and almost loving look at the belt.
- Our final match of the evening was our final King of the Ring Series match of the house show circuit as Brian "The FN Machine" Cage from Hybrid Pro would take on "The Greatest Man That Ever Lived" Austin Aries from Independent Union, the reigning King of the Ring Kofi Kingston from CPW and Tyler Black from South Beach. Nobody wanted to be the first elimination in this match; but Aries, Kingston and Black seemed to be in some sort of agreement that the brash Cage needed to be gone first. However that wasn't the case. All four men proceeded to put on what was called the best match of this entire series. Tyler Black would interestingly be the first elimination as Kofi Kingston would duck Avada Kedavra and pin Black with an SOS. The crowd would applaud Tyler Black who tried to shake Kofi's hand but would get attacked by Brian Cage! Cage would attempt Weapon X but Black would slide out and tell Cage that he would see him in California before getting attacked by Adam Cole! Cole would hit a Florida Key on the floor before bowing to Tyler's prone body and telling him to watch that last step "Your Highness". Kofi would be enraged and go right after Cage but Cage has been battle tested in Hybrid Pro, and refused to give in to emotion....and that would be the key. Cage would catch Kofi Kingston's Trouble in Paradise attempt and turn it into Chainlink before hitting the double jump moonsault he calls Black Magic to eliminate Kofi. Aries would look at Cage who had a demented fiery look in his eyes and challenged him as both Aries and Cage seemed to realize that things were coming full circle. Back and forth they would go as the crowd was firmly behind Aries. Aries would hit a BEAUTIFUL 450, and thought he had it won, but Cage had a foot on the rope! Cage would fire back with forearms, finishing with a Lights out and a FIVE STAR ELBOW DROP! Cage would shout "I AM THE KING!", but Aries would sweep the leg, and lock in the Horns of Aries! SHADES OF THE FIRST SHOW! ARIES HAS CAGE LOCKED IN THE CENTER OF THE RING IN THE HORNS OF ARIES! Cage is struggling in the middle of the ring, when SAMURAY DEL SOL runs to the ring! The ref goes over to try and get rid of Del Sol when Tommaso Ciampa runs in from the other side! Aries lets go and somehow finds the strength to dispatch Ciampa after escaping Project Ciampa. The distraction allowed Cage to hit Weapon X...THIS ONE HAS TO BE OVER! ARIES KICKS OUT! Cage goes to the top and looks for another five star elbow but Aries drags himself up and stuns Cage momentarily....STARBUSTER FROM THE SECOND ROPE! ARIES HITS THE STARBUSTER! ARIES COVERS! ARIES WINS! If the standings hold, Aries and Cage could possibly meet up and one has to think that Aries has Cage's number.
