So if your wondering why Bo Dallas is wrestling on this show (I don't envision many people will be wondering tbh lol), me and Sam have an agreement in place for him as I want to do some stuff with his NXT character. Anyways, on with the show.
NWA Hybrid Pro TV 30/08/2013[/u]
Hello and welcome to Hybrid Pro TV. We have a big night of action for you, but it should be noted that there is a major absence tonight: The Group aren't here as they are currently planning out a strategy with their new leader Christopher Daniels on how to deal with The Prophecy's stranglehold on the NWA. The Prophecy however are here, and Kyle Matthews will address The Group and Christopher Daniels tonight!
Bo Dallas comes out to start the show, with the crowd pretty much indifferent to him. Dallas takes the mic.
Dallas: So I noticed the lack of a reaction and thats cool, we haven't been introduced yet. I'm Bo Dallas, son of the legendary Mike Rotundo and a future superstar in the making. Now if there's one thing I want to do, its the right thing, because I want to hear all of your cheers. Your all wonderful and I want to do what it takes to make you all Bolievers in my cause as I march on towards greatness. I'll be listening for your cheers as I go on towards victory!
Dallas gets a very mixed reaction for his promo, a lot of fans booing rather than cheering him. Yet Dallas seems oblivious to it, soaking in the reaction as if the fans are cheering him.
Bo Dallas vs Derrick Bateman
Bateman is getting a tryout here, if he can win he could earn a regular spot on the roster, as he channelled the people's love of America and encouraged the crowd to chant "USA". Dallas on the other hand tried to encourage the fans to chant his name, but they ended up booing him instead, which Bo seemed to take as them chanting his name strangely enough. A solid back and forth contest ended with Dallas ramming Bateman's face into an exposed turnbuckle pad which the ref did not see, and then hitting him with a Belly to Belly Suplex for the 3 count.
Winner- Bo Dallas
Dallas takes the mic post match.
Dallas: Thank you all for your cheers, it means so much to me and I love each and every one of you my adoring fans. Don't stop Boleiving!
The fans are really laying into Dallas now, and he seems totally oblivious to it. Talk about delusional.
Debutants Three Way Match
Austin Aries vs Kassius Ohno vs Sami Callihan
These three have recently been released by Independant Union, and were almost immediately signed to Hybrid Pro. As three of the NWA's top talents, they had a chance here to prove themselves, and took it in their stride with a showstealing three way matchup. You had Aries who's combination of speed and technical ability is a match for anyone, Ohno who's technical skill is undeniable alongside his power, and finally you had Callihan who's as psychotic a performer as you will find, yet a dangerous all rounder who can do almost anything in the ring. After a close to 15 minute battle between the three, Callihan would drop Ohno with a Headlock Driver, which got him the three count and an impressive debut victory.
Winner- Sami Callihan
A video is shown highlighting TJ Perkins victory for the TV Title last week. He will make his first title defence next week on Hybrid Pro TV!
Vanilla Midget Challenge
"Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce vs Rich Swann
Pearce has been on a tear the past couple of weeks, bullying and beating up several young indy talents who he considers to lack talent and don't fit his vision of what professional wrestling should be. Swann however was no easy opponent, his high flying skill is truly incredible and he gave Pearce a run for his money, getting some close near falls on him. Pearce however managed to grab Swann and drop him with a Piledriver, which looked to be it, but before the 3 count he pulled Swann up. He looks to get the near limp Swann up for a second Piledriver, but before he can hit it SAMI ZAYN COMES OUT ONTO THE RAMP! Pearce shouts at Zayn to get down to the ring and take his punishment, but Zayn just stands there with a look of distain on his face. Swann recovers in the meantime, and he rolls up Pearce, 1-2-3, RICH SWANN WINS IT!
Winner- Rich Swann
Pearce is fuming and he goes right after Swann, dropping him with a right hand and picking him up for a Piledriver. But before he can hit that Zayn runs down to the ring, SPRINGBOARD DDT TO PEARCE! Pearce gets out of there in a hurry as Zayn helps Swann to his feet and raises his hand, a star having being made right here as pearce shouts that he will get revenge on these "spot monkeys".
The former NWA Hybrid Pro TV Champion, "The Unstoppable FN Machine" Brian Cage makes his way to the ring to a chorus of boos and "loser" chants. He looks furious.
Cage: First of all, I did not lose last week. I should never have been forced into that match in the first place, I was beaten up in a 5 on 1 attack and then told I had to defend the belt there and then, what chance did I stand? And seeing as I was not pinned and didn't submit, my unbeaten streak STILL STANDS!
The fans boo, though I do think he has somewhat of a valid point regarding how he lost last week. Whether or not the streak still stands is another story however.
Cage: Do I want a rematch for the TV Title? Hell no, I'm going after bigger gold now, heck I'm even going to thank you TJ Perkins for taking that trash away, it was holding back The Caged Animal!
Is that his new nickname or something? I don't think TJ will appreciate Cage's comments.
Cage: But before I go after bigger gold, I want revenge on you Matt Taven. You humiliated me last week and someone with as bright a future as I have shouldn't be embarrassed by an amateur like you. Get out here and face the music!
Matt Taven obliges, microphone in hand.
Taven: Aww, boo hoo, did I upset the little machine's feelings. Thats too bad, because you see I'd have happily given you that match, but now I don't feel its worth my time facing a cry baby like you Brian. But I am willing to give you an opportunity to win a chance to face me.
Cage: Bring it on, who to I have to face?
Taven: Your going to take on the Randy Orton challenge Brian, yes your going to face the entire rest of The Pistols in a series of matches.
Cage: I accept, I know I can beat your entire group considering I was the only talented one in it!
Taven laughs then beckons for Cage's opponent to come out. He is answered by the entire rest of The Pistols as Cage look confused.
Taven: I forgot to mention two important things. First of all, your going to be having all of these matches tonight, in other words your running the Gauntlet! And secondly, the rest of The Pistols will be surrounding the ringside area as lumberjacks to ensure that the rules are followed honourably at all times. But hey, none of these things should be a problem for an "Unstoppable FN Machine" right? Ref, ring the bell.
Before Brian Cage can say another word, he's already in the match, it looks like he's stuck in a lose-lose situation yet again thanks to Matt Taven.
Gauntlet Match
Brian Cage vs The Pistols
Firstly, the returning Zack Sabre Jr steps in there with Cage. Sabre is a talented wrestler with a bright future, but he's just coming back from an injury and showed a little ring rust, which didn't make him the biggest challenge for Cage. But Sabre did get some near falls that were somewhat aided by the lumberjacks at ringside. Cage however dropped Sabre with Weapon X to pin him cleanly.
Next up was Samuray Del Sol, but as the matchup began, out ran Da Baldies! They attacked the rest of The Pistols, getting into a wild brawl with them at ringside that eventually saw them brawl all the way backstage. This meant that it was just Cage and Del Sol, with Del Sol getting some impressive high flying moves in and showcasing what he brings to the group as their "ninja". Cage was in no mood to lose out though, he took all Del Sol could give and fought back with the power that brought him to this point, eventually nailing Weapon X for a second time to get 3.
With the rest of The Pistols busy elsewhere, the match is given to Brian Cage by default.
Winner- Brian Cage
Cage celebrates getting a much needed win and two more victorys to add to his so called streak, but he didn't beat all of The Pistols. I assume next week Cage will be taking on the the rest, or maybe even Matt Taven himself. We will find out then.
Kyle Matthews and his Prophecy make their way out to the ring, the champion looking as serious as we've seen him look in a long time. Matthews takes the mic.
Matthews: "So on Sunday night, I did exactly what I said I was going to do, that being to defeat Low-Ki. And as the NWA's last hope, I was all ready to kill the NWA there and then, that was until the so called true saviour of the NWA showed up, a man named Christopher Daniels. "
The crowd cheer and chant "Fallen Angel" at the mere mention of Daniels' name.
Matthews: "Now I'm sure you all expect me to be terrified of a bald, middle aged man, but I'm not. My thoughts once I composed myself post show on Sunday were "so what". So you got a new jacket and hooked yourself up to some cables, big deal. Owen Hart did that and look what happened to him."
The fans are ripping Matthews to shreds for that rather tasteless joke.
Matthews: "But then I thought about it a bit more and realised what is really going on. You've done exactly what I wanted you to do, you've embraced the light and have risen again after your crucifixion at my Prophecy's hands. For that I have to applaud you. But my original point still stands, what's changed? You haven't righted your wrongs, those who hate you still hate you, and when it comes to it you aren't worthy of calling yourself the saviour of the NWA.
But hey, I'm a fair man, and I'll give you a chance Daniels, but on one condition. If you want to face me for this title belt, you are going to have to earn the respect of those people who you have wronged. There is one man in particular who you have to gain forgiveness from. He's a man who was once your best friend, a man who you stabbed in the back in your quest for glory and a man I know hates you more than any other in this world. That mans name is LOW-KI! If you can earn his blessing and forgiveness, only then will you be worthy of facing me in the ultimate battle of good versus evil, a match truly worthy of determining the fate of the entire NWA.
Oh and Daniels, if you fail to do this by the time Fall Brawl comes around, consider the NWA dead and buried!"
What a bombshell Kyle Matthews has dropped here, Christopher Daniels will only get his shot at the NWA World Heavyweight Title if he can earn the respect of Low-Ki, a man who Daniels wronged arguably more than any other, and had a wild blood feud with for much of NWA South Beach's early days. Will Daniels be able to convince Low-Ki that he is a changed man and one who is sorry for his actions, or will Matthews as a result refuse to give him a shot at the title and kill the NWA? We will find out in the coming weeks leading up to Fall Brawl, thats for sure. See you next week folks!
