SOUTHWEST CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING PRESENTS-
LABOR DAY STAR WARS 2013

*scene opens to a sold-out Reliant Center Arena in Houston, Texas. We pan around the arena to see a ton of fans holding signs cheering on their favorite wrestlers. We then head down to ringside and our announce team of Tony Brooklyn and Sign Guy*

Tony Brooklyn: Good evening wrestling fans, and welcome to Southwest Championship Wrestling! *huge pop from the fans* My name is Tony Brooklyn and this is LABOR DAY WRESTLING STAR WARS!!!! With me is my partner Sign Guy. Guy, looks like we got a hell of a show tonight!
Sign Guy: Sure do, Tony. Here’s the lineup-
Jaykus Plisken and Matt Morgan tangle in a 2 out of 3 falls match to determine the initial Southwest Heavyweight Champion. These two have been tearing the hell out of each other the last few shows, this one should be hell!
Jeff Hardy and Phill Shatter tangle to determine the first Southwest TV Champion. Shatter seems to have Hardy’s number, can Jeff pull this one off?
Carlito and Hunico take on Hernandez and Chavo Guerrero to determine the first Southwest Tag Team Champions. Both teams are pretty good, this one should be real interesting to watch.
And after Vance Archer ran his mouth off last show, Tom Gorgas booked him in a match against a mystery opponent. Who is the mystery opponent? Well, we’re about to find out, that match is next!

Tony Brooklyn: Let’s head to ringside, Archer is down there now, and he has the stick!

Vance Archer vs Mystery Opponent

Vance Archer is in the ring, mic in hand-
Vance Archer: Hey, Gorgas! You said I had a “mystery opponent” for this show? He’s such a big mystery, his ass isn’t here!!! Where is he, huh?

Just then, the videotron lit up, showing Tom Gorgas’ office in the back.

Tom Gorgas: Watch your mouth, brother, or you’ll find your ass on the street. As far as your mystery opponent goes, look behind you.
Archer turns around, and looks up and up into the face of none other than….THE BIG SHOW!!! Show drops the hammer on Archer, laying him flat with a double chop to the shoulders, and this one was ON!

To Archer’s credit, he kept up with Big Show, using his agility to counter Show’s power, but eventually Big Show’s power did Archer in, putting Vance away with a Choke Slam in 13:48.

Match Rating: 3.5

After the match, Big Show picks up the mic.

Big Show: You know what, I’m tired of being known as the Big Show, damn it! You are looking at the largest athlete in the world, a giant among men. Therefore, you all can call me The Giant! The Giant drops the mic and storms off.

SOUTHWEST TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
Carlito and Hunico vs Hernandez and Chavo Guerrero Jr.

This match was ordered after Hernandez and Chavo put on a very impressive showing on the last episode, so Tom Gorgas made this match plus made it a title match!

This match went back and forth, with both team putting on a clinic in tag team wrestling. In the end though, it all came down to who wanted it more, and that was Hernandez and Chavo, as Hernandez nailed Hunico with the Thesz Press in 20:31 to win the match!

SOUTHWEST TV CHAMPIONSHIP
Jeff Hardy vs Phill Shatter

This match was booked after the impressive showings both men put on over the last few shows. Hardy started out strong, but Shatter’s power soon got him the advantage, as he took it to Hardy! Hardy did a leap frog over Shatter, but before he could turn around, Shatter speared him in the back! Shatter made the cover and won the match at 6:40!

WINNER OF THE MATCH AND NEW SOUTHWEST TV CHAMPION: “THE UNIVERSAL SOLDIER” PHILL SHATTER!

SOUTHWEST HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

2 OUT OF 3 FALLS MATCH

JAYKUS PLISKEN VS MATT MORGAN

These two had been having a war of their own for at least two shows, and this one was the rubber match for all the marbles! Plisken started out very strong, using his agility advantage over Morgan to get the first pinfall with a very fast roll up. Morgan was seeing red, and charged straight in to a Painbreaker 30 seconds later to give the second and deciding pinfall to Plisken!

TIME OF THE MATCH: 6:40

WINNER OF THE MATCH AND NEW SOUTHWEST HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: JAYKUS PLISKEN!!!!

While Plisken was celebrating, Tom Gorgas came out to the top of the ramp, mic in hand.
Tom Gorgas: Real good there, Mr. Plisken. You’re probably wondering who’s next? Guess what, you’ll be waiting for a couple of shows. Because the next episode of Southwest Championship Wrestling is dedicated solely to the ladies division. That’s right, the next show, we’ll be crowning the Southwest Womens Champion! After the very strong showing the ladies made at Summer Sevens, this will be a barn burner! See you in a couple of weeks folks!

Really enjoyed this, I don't know a ton about Jaykus Pliksen but congrats to him on the win of his career over Matt Morgan as well as to Phil Shatter for winning gold against Jeff Hardy. Also good to see LAX pick up some gold here to, again congrats to them. Big Show was a nice surprise, I was actually thinking the other day it'd be interesting to see him go by The Giant name again, so you kind of read my mind on that one. So yeah, good stuff man.

Sorry for being so late to comment on the show. First of all, love Big Show changing his name back to The Giant, considering that even WWE's own commentators can't seem to decide what to call him these days. Ordinarily I would question a finish with a Thesz Press...but the fact that I can see Hunico getting SQUASHED by Hernandez eliminates that. Impressive win by Phil Shatter, I can imagine that Hardy might have some revenge planned. Congrats to Plisken on the win, it's almost like you pressed the "reset" button on your promotion and I can't wait to see where you go from here.
