A video package showing the highlights of last Friday’s Summer Sevens iPPV. The fans chant “Tiger… Tiger… Tiger…” as highlights of the Unified Tag Team Title match play. The Team South Beach vs Team Southwest match gets boos when the Midwest Militia ambush Awesome Kong. The fans give a mixture of boos and laughter at the result of the Team JPP vs Team Mexico match. The crowd ooooh and ahhhh as highlights of the Typhoon Tag Elimination Cage match are shown. The chants change to “she was robbed” when the ending of the match is shown. The fans laugh again at Team Mexico’s quick loss in the final of the Summer Sevens tournament.
There are ooooohs and ahhhhs for every highlight of the Ladder Flag Match. The fans explode in cheers and applause when the Hong Kong Cavaliers come out to the ring with the flag of Hong Kong.
The fans are still cheering loudly as Lisa places the flag in the corner post. Mio comes out looking calm and confident. She climbs into the ring and does a few warm ups. The ref calls for the bell.
Right off the top, Mio slows the pace. She uses rest holds and the ropes to control the pace of the action. Lisa manages to get in some offence but Mio uses items from her bag of tricks to get out of holds or stall Lisa’s momentum. Mio sends Lisa off the ropes and tries for a roundhouse kick but Lisa rolls through to avoid the kick. Lisa climbs Mio’s back, grabs her arm and brings her to the mat with an armbar. Mio tries to get free but can’t reach the ropes and taps out.
Lisa Cheng forced Mio Shirai to submit to an armbar
Britani Knight comes out to the ring to a chorus of boos. She is using a crutch and has a bandage on her forehead. She threatens Alyson Hau with the crutch, telling her to hold the ropes open and give her a mic.
Britani Knight - I finally did it. It was so easy defeating that Mexican idiot’s pathetic mind. Last Saturday, I defeated her will to fight and beat her like the donkeys she used to work with. Now I can move onto what I came here for. As soon as I recover from my devastating ankle injury, I demand that the golden girl Ramu Endo give me a title match.
Commissioner Asami Konno comes out to the ring with a mic.
Commissioner Konno - Britani. I don’t know about other promotions you’ve been in, but in JPP, you have to earn title matches. I will grant you that you are one of the top contenders. What we are going to do is have the top four contenders fight to determine who the #1 contender will be.
Britani Knight - I can’t fight tonight, I’m almost crippled. It is only because of my god given abilities and my unparalleled determination to win that I am out here right now.
Commissioner Konno - Don’t be upset, you don’t have to wrestle tonight. However, you will have to wrestle next week. Two other contenders will face each other tonight and you will face another contender next week. The two winners will then face each other in a #1 contender match. Tonight’s match, our next match will be Arisa Nakajima vs Hiroyo Matsumoto. Your match next week will be against her!
Asami points over her shoulder as Dark Angel comes out on the entrance ramp. Britani throws a fit. She kicks the bottom rope and loses her balance, falling to the mat. Dark Angel is just laughing as she heads backstage. Hiroyo Matsumoto comes out. She laughs as Britani is crawling out of the ring and trying to get onto her crutch.
Arisa comes out to the ring, passing Britani on the ramp. Hiroyo and Arisa go nose to nose. They back off to their corners. The ref calls for the bell. They lockup. Hiroyo easily shoves Arisa away. Hiroyo continues using her strength to control Arisa. Arisa waits for an opening and takes the momentum away from Hiroyo. They continue back and forth for over 10 minutes. Hiroyo catches Arisa springboarding off the middle rope and plants her with a sit-out powerbomb. Hiroyo gets the three count.
Hiroyo Matsumoto pinned Arisa Nakajima with a sit-out powerbomb
#1 Unified Tag Team Title Contenders
Hannah and Holly look very smug and confident as they come to the ring. They snack on cupcakes as they wait in the ring. Kaori and Tomoka come to the ring, looking pissed off and angry. Tomoka still has a small bandage on her forehead. Hannah and Holly mock Kaori and Tomoka bye making “loser” signs with their hands. Kaori holds Tomoka back before she does anything she may regret. The ref gets them to their corners and calls for the bell.
Kaori charges across the ring and lays into Hannah before Hannah can even turn around. Holly tries to tag herself in but Kaori pulls Hannah out of the way. That is Holly’s last chance. Kaori takes out all her aggression on Hannah. When Hannah can’ get up anymore, Kaori tags in Tomoka. Tomoka lifts up Hannah and takes her over with a bridging fisherman’s suplex for the three count.
Tomoka Nakagawa pinned Hannah Blossom with a bridging fisherman’s suplex
Io comes to the ring, hoping this will be a step towards regaining the junior title. She looks very focused as she does a few warm ups. Chii comes to the ring and walks over to the referee. She tries to slip some money to the ref. The ref tosses the money into the crowd and calls for the bell.
Much like her sister did earlier, Io deliberately starts off slow knowing that Chii prefers a very fast paced match. Every time Io uses the ropes, Chii kicks her in the butt. This tactic eventually upsets Io and she comes after Chii, who uses the ropes herself. Io realises what Chii is doing and applauds her, right before kicking her in the head. Io controls most of the action from here on out. She finishes Chii off in about seven minutes with Magica de Io
Io Shirai pinned Chii Tomiya with Magica de Io
JPP Unified Tag Team Titles
Hikaru and Miyako come to the ring, not dancing as enthusiastically as usual. They don’t dance around the ringposts on their way into the ring. Tiger Dream and rabbit Miu get a huge pop as the come to the ring, tossing stuffed rabbits and tigers into the crowd. They shake hands with Hikaru and Miyako. They go to their corners and the ref calls for the bell.
Rabbit and Miyako start the match. Miyako foregoes her usual dancing and goes right after Rabbit. Miyako shows unusual aggression as she attacks Rabbit. Not fitting her style, Miyako’s aggression leads to more errors than success. Miyako tries for a splash from the top turnbuckle but is met by a dropkick from Rabbit. Rabbit crawls over and tags in Tiger Dream. Tiger Dream runs up the turnbuckle and moonsaults off onto Miyako. The ref makes the three count.
Tiger Dream pinned Miyako Matsumoto with the Tigersault
