We got set up again at the Arnettsville Community building, it's become our "bingo hall" of sorts. I invited Shark Boy to come work a show with us, he even helped set up before the show which is something that I get everyone on the roster involved to remind everyone of the basics of respect and tradition. We're starting to build momentum with the locals and people were showing up before the doors were open. I'd have liked to have Snake Gwynn come up, he's great on a mic and can really verbally work a crowd. It was another hand off the camera and announce duties night as we got the show underway.
C.W. is a new comer who's been training with Pat, so we gave them the opening match. C.W. looks pretty rough in a janitor uniform with the sleeves ripped off. The match was a bit slow paced as Pat carried Payne through the match, C.W. made a pretty bad botch that got him stiffed by Pat in brutal fashion. The rest of the match was pretty solid with Pat finishing off Payne with a side effect.
This was a bit of a filler match, I've worked a lot with Syko in the past so we could put on a pretty decent contest. The match wasn't very long since I had to work another match soon, Syko came off the top with a really nice frog splash to pick up his debut in the new promotion.
Trent Darrius is the former BKT, and Ken Karnage was recently Jax Jameson. Trent came to me before the show and asked to wrestle Ken wanting to see how far along Ken's come in his training sessions. I was a bit apprehensive but I booked it because I was curious as well. The match was pretty solid although I could tell that Trent was doing a bit of carrying. Trent used his fist drop off the top to put away Karnage.
Chris is actually my cousin so we've got really good chemistry when it comes to putting this match together. We kept it simple and the match turned out well, the benefit of being the booker is I get to choose who wins, and tonight I picked up the win with a shining knee strike.
Jojo was in the ring before the match pacing around with his hooked cane giving a spirited promo to the audience, no mic required as his deep voice carried as he explained in gruesome detail about how he's going to shove Jackson's head up his own ass and all the wonderful things that Jackson can do in that position.
The newly rechristened Tommy Demonik got a shot at Jojo's Tri-County title, and I knew it'd be a great match with Jackson using his power to man handle Jojo. It was a david versus goliath style match up with Cole beating the holy hell out of Jojo. Jack brought a table into the match trying to powerbomb the champion through it. Eventually Jojo would dig down deep and gutwrench suplex Cole through the table to retain his championship.
In this state guys like Shark Boy are a great draw, this state has an admiration for an old school style and cheesy comedy spots. Shark Boy brought a lot of laughs for the crowd but Demented plays a masked psyhopath and eventually the laughs stopped when Demented laid him out with a superkick. This match was a lot of fun to watch with Shark Boy's hero come back but Demented set out to show that this is his house and eventually scored with the death valley driver to put away Shark Boy.
