The Arnettsville Community Center was the site for tonights action packed card, the North American champion, Dolph Ziggler is scheduled to defend against Jackson Cole in the main event. Plus the PvP champion and the PvP Tri-County Champion are going to lock up. The crowd was pumped and we couldn't wait to get under way.
Smith was able to out wrestle Syko in the early going of this match, but Syko is unorthodox throwing kicks and elbows to get out of the holds that Smith was trying to apply. Billy connected with a roundhouse kick that staggered Smith before trying for the F-5 but Smith was able to wiggle free and come back with a belly to back suplex, trying to end it with a figure four but Syko would kick Smith away and kip up trying for another roundhouse kick but Smith would catch the leg using a leg whip. Smith would size up and deliever a shining knee but Syko was able to kick out. Jonny was frustrated and it almost cost him the match, Syko tried to finish the match with a frog splash but Smith would get his knees up doubling up Syko who wound up taking another shining knee this time for the win.
Bookers Notes: I wanted a strong opener for this show, and you know what they say. If you want something done right, do it yourself.
This match was pretty one sided with Anarchy showing off his amatuer skills, Payne was never able to get traction and was put down with an Olympic slam for the victory.
Bookers Notes: I needed to have a fifth match to add to the show, but I wasn't keen on giving this match a lot of time. I want to keep Anarchy looking strong so that's the thoughts behind this one.
The cigarette smoking bar room brawler looked to knock off a man who's very much in the title picture here in PvP, a win tonight could propel Karnage into that picture. Karnage was just brutal with heavy hands and kicks that pack a serious punch. Karnage had Darrius literally against the ropes as he hammered away at "Tradition" going as far as trying to mafia kick Darrius' head off but Trent would avoid the kick letting Ken over extend his leg over the top rope, that was Trent's opening to soften up Karnage's leg. Darrius was a surgeon showing off his knowledge of how to damage a mans leg. Karnage tried to escape the grasp of Darrius but ended up tapping out to the sharpshooter.
Bookers Notes: Ken's been doing a great job and this match was a test to see how well he'd do in a high profile situation and he didn't disappoint as a future star of PvP.
These two champions locked up and the action that followed was one for the books. Jojo brought the fight to Demented from the opening bell showing off his golden gloves boxing skill. Demented was rocked and Jojo was on a roll grabbing the face of Demented, Jojo would call the PvP champion a coward and a prick giving Demented the time to rake the eyes of his opponent. Jojo would clutch his eyes in pain as Demented went to work punishing Jojo for the beating he's endured thus far. No matter how hard Demented would hit Jojo, he'd keep coming back for more, practically begging to be hit again as the crowd sat in stunned silence. Jojo snapped off the gutwrench suplex but it barely phased Demented who came fighting back with headbutts trying to create enough space to hit a superkick, but it wasn't enough to put Jojo away. Both men looked battle weary after unloading their arsenals on each other, but Jojo would go up top trying to hit a splash, hopefully the match ender. Jojo would sail off the top only to get caught by Demented who would plant Jojo with a bone jarring death valley driver to finally end the car wreck of a match.
Bookers Notes: I knew these two guys could put on a great match and they brought their A game for this one.
This had big fight atmosphere, as this was the biggest match of Cole's young career. After last weeks destruction of Spike Dudley, Cole certainly deserved this match. The opening of the contest was a nice chain wrestling spot that ended up with a face off from both men, getting a round of applause from the crowd. The crowd was firmly in the corner of Ziggler, and Dolph of course sold like mad man making Jackson look as vicious as they come. Ziggler was eventually able to mount a comeback trying for a fameasser but Cole would counter with a sit down powerbomb for a near fall. Ziggler looked like he was broken in half but kept fighting, the mood changed again when Trent Darrius made his way to the ring to get a closer look at the match, taking Cole off his game. Cole was completely off but still tried to make the most of this title match catching Ziggler with an ace cutter before getting up and signalling for the roaring elbow! Trent would pull on the foot of Cole causing Jackson to take his attention off of Ziggler. Jackson ruined Trent's PvP title shot and it looked like Darrius returned the favor as Ziggler blind sided Cole with the ZigZag to retain his NA title in a hard fought contest.
Bookers Notes: Not only was this a great match, the end gives way for storyline down the road. Double Win!
