Ladies and Gentlemen welcome to your MAIN EVENT!
The show opens with "The King of Old School" Steve Corino joining the broadcast team, walking down the ramp with a crown, an obvious knock at another king. Corino adds little to commentary aside from mentioning "puppies" every so often. Denver Colorado goes off with some Jim Ross catch phrases to poke fun back as the show get's underway.
SINGLES MATCH
Joey Ryan vs. Eddie Kingston
Joey Ryan vs. Eddie Kingston
Kingston was not a fan of having to be in this opening match against the sleazy Joey Ryan. Everytime the two men would lock up Kingston would complain of Ryan stinking of cologne and feeling slimey but the ref urged the match on. Ryan used his repulsive nature to his advantage through the match but one spinning backfist from Kingston stopped Ryan's momentum dead and ended the match.
SINGLES MATCH
Corey Graves vs. Chance Prophet
Corey Graves vs. Chance Prophet
This was an old school style match with Graves losing a wrestling exchange with Prophet, sliding to the outside to catch his breath. The pace was slow but the crowd was into it, Graves tried to work over the knee of Chance softening him up for the knee bar. The crowd was behind Prophet as he roared back on one good leg dropping Graves on his head with a double underhook DDT.
SINGLES MATCH
Prince Devitt vs. "The Cuban Crippler" Ricky Reyes
Prince Devitt vs. "The Cuban Crippler" Ricky Reyes
These two strong style warriors lit each other up with vicious strikes that had the crowd howling and wooing as welts surfaced on both men. Reyes put up a good fight but ended up taking a bloody sunday giving Devitt the victory.
Corino was really into Devitt's win clapping like a maniac as he got out of his seat and got into the ring with Devitt. Corino would offer his card to Devitt and after a few tense moment's Devitt would take the business card before walking away, taking a glance at the card before walking into the back.
SINGLES MATCH
"Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce vs. John Cena
"Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce vs. John Cena
The experience of Pearce kept him in the fight against the powerhouse in Cena. The crowd absolutely love Cena and Pearce really played to it by being a complete prick, doing everything possible to aggitate the fans in attendence. Cena is a fighter with a ton of heart coming back strong but Pearce would roll up John pulling the tights holding his opponent down for barely a three count.
Cena looked defeated sitting in the middle of the ring watching in disbelief as the veteran Pearce would celebrate on his way up the ramp.
#1 CONTENDERS MATCH
"Wrestlings ONLY Olympic Gold Medalist" Kurt Angle vs. "The Viper" Randy Orton
"Wrestlings ONLY Olympic Gold Medalist" Kurt Angle vs. "The Viper" Randy Orton
These two men are both former NWA World Champions, and the winner would get a shot at Chris Daniels, the match was pretty back and forth with great action. Orton would stalk Angle signalling for the RKO but Angle would shove him off and after an O'Connor roll, would sink in the ankle lock trying to snap the ankle of Orton. Randy would fight free to continue the match eventually trying for another RKO but Angle would fight free and throw Orton with an olympic slam that would give him the victory and the shot at the NWA World Heavyweight title!
Angle would celebrate as he backed his way up the ramp keeping his eyes on Orton only to get a guitar smashed over his head from behind by Jeff Jarrett who would smirk as he stood over Kurt as the show went to commercial break.[/color]
TAG TEAM GAUNTLET MATCH
The match started with the Bravado's in the middle of the ring all smiles as they stretched getting ready to start this off, only to have their hearts sink as the returning Primal Rage made their way to the ring. Monty Brown and Mark Henry made quick work of the Bravados with Brown hitting both men with a pounce. Luke Gallows and Giant Bernard hit the ring next and after a battle Monty Brown put Gallows down with a pounce to continue to show their power. The dynamic changed as The Gladiators (Mason Ryan & Rob Terry) made their way to the ring, the match broke down with a brawl between both teams spilling to the outside forcing the ref to count both teams out. This brought the match to a reset with TMDK going against the Rockstars, the match between these last two teams was dazzling with Mikey Nicholls and Shane Haste taking the champions to their limits. Jimmy Rave was able to score with a superkick but was ripped out of the ring by Haste, allowing Morrison to come off the ropes with a splitt legged twisting moonsault to retain the titles for his team!
Lena Yada was all smiles as her boys retained their titles, bringing her clients the tag titles as the show fades to black.
